My favorite place to go!The service is always quick, polite and smiling.I appreciate good service rare now and days. If you are having a bad day or good day this is the place to go!We ordered wings, grilled cheese dipped in a soup and noodles and meat.The food came quick and lovely introduction of the food. You can sit inside and outside.Ask for the owner sunny let him know I sent you he will take care of you!

They open at 5:30 not 5! Told them to change the online information but didn’t do it.Service and food was good but pricey.There’s a free 2 hour parking structure in the back and limited meter parking in the front.

We waited quite a bit for food, but everything was sooooooo delicious, definitely not that much of a fast paced place, but there were only two people at the time we ate there.They have a beautiful bar that serves all kinds of drinks, even variety of Japanese whiskey I believe.I ordered seared duck and it came with rice that taste like it was cooked in veggie broth and ginger. Their garlic noodles was also so tasty. Some people in our group ordered the Thai chicken and that was absolutely delicious.

Came here with some friends randomly, the food was amazing, drinks were tasty and strong, and the staff was nice. We were seated quickly and served just as quickly, cant wait to come again ☺️

The food is flavorful but portion is small. Menu is very limited. Good selections of drinks. Only have seating for about 20 people. Good place to hang out if you can get seated.

Cute outdoor dining area with ample space. The staff was very attentive and provided great service. The wings were amazing!!! Perfectly crispy and delicious. My favorite was the garlic Parmesan 👍

We came here for the garlic noodles & duck breasts. The duck was cooked with just the right tenderness and flavor. Service was great; our bartender made legit cocktails & they even carry unfiltered sake (dont let the hello kitty bottle fool ya!).

This is a new addition to the DTSA line up of great placed to eat and drink. This place jas amazing apps and super smooth mixed drinks. I highly recommend you go especially if you like to take pictures of your food.

We picked this place because the menu had vegetarian options. Turns out, after waiting for 30 min, when I asked the waiter what the vegetarian options were....there are none. Apparently none of the items on the menu that actually say vegetarian are actually vegetarian and are cooked with meat lard or broth. An article I read about this place also raved about how they had vegetarian options. It is not okay to say something is vegetarian and then it not actually be vegetarian. Shame on them. Ended up getting amazing pizza at Loosies around the corner!!!!

This place is fantastic, the staff is friendly and attentive even when theyre busy. The chicken katsu burger is phenomenal and their original mixed drinks and craft beers hit the spot! Love this place and will be coming back again and again.

I’m not typically picky and don’t write reviews often, but felt I needed to in this case. Music was way too loud, service was slow, and they left too much connective tissue on the chicken in my coconut curry. About 1/3 of the chicken in the bowl was super tough gristle that I couldn’t eat. The other chicken just didn’t taste like quality cuts either. Grilled cheese was good but needs a dip or something for moisture(tomato soup is the obvious choice but other things could work). Maybe I had a bad experience on an off night but I don’t think I’ll return. Two stars only because the curry flavor was good.

Spontaneously stopped here for dinner and omg it did not disappoint!Their spring rolls, bowls and garlic noodles were all amazing! Along with their drinks!Great, friendly service. We stopped by on a late Friday night and they had a DJ playing music outside which made even more of a fun experience.Definitely coming back again soon!

We had the sticky chicken wings and I would eat them 5x over. They were so good. Also had duck and my goodness was it delicious. Im so happy to have a place with great food AND good drinks. The beer selection is for craft beer lovers and the cocktails were fresh + perfectly crafTed. Truly excited for our next time there and their rotating menu!

This place blew my expectations out the water. While walking down 4th street looking for a new place to eat, Bird and Barrel caught my eye. Service was outstanding! Within seconds I walked up I was greeted by my server.I ordered a specialty cocktail which was amazing no corners cut on this cocktail.. The food was amazing. I am a picky guy with food. Everything was so good.. Not one complaint from me!!! Will be taking a date here next time!!!

Bird & Barrel was the perfect kick off of my bday weekend. All of our food was perfectly full of flavored and fresh. It came out pipping hot! The Mint Lemonade knocked my socks off. They sealed the deal with my favorite meal pairing: great service!We cant wait to go back on date night to try the cocktails and lobster sandwich. Thanks guys.

Amazing food and the Owners are always there. They take a lot of pride in what they do and the product they put out. Noodles, wings, apps, its all good here. Great beer and cocktail selection and nice outdoor patio to sit at. Highly reccomend to try this spot if your in the area.

It was great good and very friendly people that work there. We had the garlic noodles which were delicious. The fried chicken with rice, the chicken was fried perfectly and the dipping sauce went really well with it. We also had the duck bahn mi which was also delicious. Great place to stop by and if youre in the area.

Was looking forward to trying this place out. Always like finding new spots but truth is everything was underwhelming. The duck dish was good but it came out warm. I could tell as soon as it arrived at the table. The chicken Katsu was bland even with the sauce. The food also took a really long time to come out. We were the only table so not sure why the long wait.

The food is amazing and the owner is incredibly friendly! All the employees have a great attitude. We ate outside on the patio they had made and it was the perfect atmosphere. Highly recommend the shaken beef!

Ah - I found one of my new favorite restaurants in Santa Ana! Bird & Barrel is a wonderful Asian Fusion spot that not only has a good pricepoint but the flavor to match with pricier spots around the OC area.A few items Ive tried so far:+Seared duck breast: My go to item. The duck breast is cooked wonderfully and isnt super game-y. It comes with some delicious rice (that I feel like is also cooked in some type of broth), pickled veggies, and a delicious sweet sauce to dip the duck in. One of their pricier items but well worth it.+Poached chicken: This is their Hainan Chicken interpretation and its super solid (usually available towards the end of the week versus the beginning). You dont get the soup, but the chicken is wonderful (the skin just falls right off), comes with a delicious ginger sauce on the side and a similar rice to the duck breast as well as a side of the pickled veggies. Wonderful and the price is spot on and love the presentation even in takeout.+Beef lok lak: One of their newer items. The lok lak is made with a lot of care. Its not my favorite interpretation but is definitely up there. Love the spices and how juicy the meat is (comes medium) and the veggies here are not pickled and work well with the meat (more in line with a traditional lok lak). The rice is also still spot on.Their drinks are also available for takeout. Ive had the Old Bird, the Lychee Sake, the Santa Ana, Mother Plucker, and Rooster tail. Even to go, they are all delicious and they make it on the spot when you come to order so its not super diluted when you take it back home.Advise parking-wise to go for the parking lot right behind the restaurant (2 hours for free). Theres some limited street parking which you can also shoot for but the parking in front of the restaurant is a) co-opted to be more of a takeout area and b) usually super limited even in the slower days.Service is also super kind and friendly. Know theyre doing a lot more with music and evening festivities to bring people out as well.Love the restaurant and concept - hope to be back soon for the lobster roll and oysters!

Ordered Basil Chicken and there were minimal pieces of chicken. It was mostly mushrooms. The taste was good. Totally disappointed and would not recommend. Way too overpriced for the food they serve.
