Best birria ever. I drove from AZ just to enjoy this place.
Being that I dont speak Spanish or have no idea what Birria was, this was my adventurous food finds. I found the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They will tell me something in Spanish and then translate in English so Im sort of learn what I am looking on the menu. I went with the Roasted kid (goat stew) and tried the Tepache (fermented pineapple drink). They were nice enough to give me a sample just in case I end up not liking it if I order a whole glass.My anticipation subsided when I cut my order. I took a bite of the goat stew and it was amazing. That means bus tender and juicy. It is not overpowered by any spices but I can still taste the flavor of the goats meat. They dont serve rice or beans with a meal but the homemade tortilla more than make up for it.The Tepache is like a kambucha made with pineapple and raw cane sugar. It is an acquired taste but if you like Kambucha, you should like this as well.This was release an unexpected delicious find.Oh and I ordered Flan for dessert to go 😉

I had a craving for birria and so I wanted to go to Linwood since I went to the website to look for restaurants where they sell birria and this place appeared to me and it looked delicious, I live an hour away and Im sorry to say that I regret having gone there, the service was fatal and really bad the waitresses were really rude and the food was Disgusting 🤮 I definitely don’t recommend it won’t come back ..
The food is good the tortillas are the best, delicious, I gave them 2 stars because the waiter was at first so rude, we had so many questions due to it was our first time, we looked it on Google and drove off the Freeway, but he was so rude when it came to have menu questions. The food was so good! When the waitress walked out with my plate I was a bit disappointed cause I thought, thats it? But the Birria was so well cooked and so well seasoned. You dont have to fight the meat, its so soft it melts in your mouth. The tortillas are fresh and handmade. And overall the food is so tasty. Limited food options tho. Exclusively only Birria, no rice.

Went in Wednesday 5/18/22 for 2 orders of birria for take out since my regular spot on Compton was closed. Man was this a disappointment. First disappointment was that they don’t sell rice at this location only beans. Didn’t really make much sense but I was ok with it. Once I got my food I drove home only to realize that the meat was hard and stale. Like if they had given me yesterdays food or something. The taste of the consomé was bland with almost no flavor. Only thing that was good was the tortillas. Second time eating here. Both times was a let down. Wouldn’t recommend. Just go to the one on Compton and 77th. Customer service sucks as well. If you don’t like your job why work there. Bad for business

The consume was not authentic, it tasted like tomato sauce. The birria tacos were good and loved the fact they have tacos hecho a mano. I was surprised they didn’t serve any beans and rice. They weren’t too busy but we still waited a while to have our table cleaned and to receive our drinks. This place is more on the expensive side also.

Very horrible food the food was dry and we had it exchanged twice and it was too slimy the second maybe they spit or gave us the worst version of the food. The waiter was mocking us with a smile he was extremely rude I hope this place go out of business in the name of Jesus
The day that I when I had a bad experience with my family. We always had the curiosity to eat at that place but after leaving we agreed to not look back. The waitress had a very bad attitude and was rude to us. We brushed it off that maybe she is just having a bad day but she tossed the food and the caldo of the meat fell on the table. We cleaned it up with the napkins that we had but after something like that happens you just dont have the appetite to eat.

Hands down some of the best consome for Birria in LA, its made with the traditional Chivo (Goat). Its been prepared in such a way that all the gamey flavor has been flushed out from the spices and richful broth. Its always served with freshly made tortillas and cilantro,diced onion,limes and salsa
This is my go to birria place. Their authentic birria de chivo is always on point. Ive been coming here for years and Ive never had a disappointing experience. I always get the media orden de pura pierna (no bones) and an horchata or a Mexican coke. The handmade tortillas are a nice bonus too.. If you have hangover or feeling under the weather, this place will hook you up!

How can you call this birria? Birria is supposed to be marinated and cooked in its juice/ sauce. I got chunks of meat on one tray and the juice in another. Meat was dry and no taste. I originally ordered beaf and they gave me goat. When I asked if this was beaf because I can smell the goat the girl that took my order got mad. To top it off the large portion that 14.99 plus 1.90 to make it all meat isnt worth it.
Paid $14 for a 16 oz cup. It was suppose to be a full order of birria that had a metal taste to it, the meat was hard and not soft and moist as it should be. The soup was too thick and condimented as well. The price itself was too much and the order should have been accompanied with rice and beans. 1st and last time I consume at this place. The location was convenient because its right around the corner from my house. Next time Ill just drive a couple of miles and go to my favorite spot.
Its was delicious, but when you ask for a chamorro. Make sure its a small one. They charge by weight. I paid $25 dollars for one. Your better just eating the big order. Its $15 bucks.

Came to this place for lunch. Place was not to full, waitress took our orders. They were nice and brought me a sample of horchata. The only bad point was that our table was dirty but they cleaned it as soon as we sat down. Regarding the food, the birria was delicious.
This is the best of this side of the border very original taste the service is great there very attentive and if you need more tortilla as they will bring them make sure you get the all beef plate while its not actually beef its a you know anyway make sure you get all meat plate and of course the cup of soup that comes with it or you can get another one because I have like 2 its so delicious its just very very delicious its done in an oven so I guess I could say its oven roasted and its just it falls apart its so delicious the juices the smell the salon show the onions you wont be unhappy take the family have a good meal and go back again and the Flon is also very delicious for desert

So Ive been debating on going here for a while. I wish I hadnt gone. The birria didnt even taste authentic. It wasnt even the right color. The pictures on the tv screens looked green and when you ask they say its red. When you get the plate its orange/yellow. I will say the meat is actually cooked great; falls off the bone, and the tortillas are handmade( just wish it was cooked more). It was 14 dollars for a full plate or birria. Quesadilla with meat is 7 dollars. With drinks and taxes check came out to 30 dollars. Not worth it in my opinion.
I have to say ... Birria is delicious are family enjoy going to eat birria mostly every weekend. How ever the last couple of times we didnt like the tortillas there not home made anymore... We felt dessapointed
First of all you pay $15 bucks for a cup enough to make 2 good size tacos. Second the meat it self was really hard and chewy birria is suppose to be tender, and lastly the consome was horrible and tasted close to tomato soup I had to put a lot of lemon on it.

Best Birria de chivo in L.A. hands down. You can also go to the one in Pico Rivera and Birrieria Don Boni in East L.A. they all have the same recipe. I will not eat Birria unless its estilo Jalisco and made of GOAT. Jalisco knows Birria 😉
Not good. $15 for a small bowl of birria that has no flavor but tomatoe paste and meat that is chewy and crunchy is not a good dinning experience! I couldnt even finish my bowl. I thought it would be like the Birrieria Jalisco in Los Angeles on Compton ave. Boy, was I wrong! This place does NOT serve authentic birria. What a waste of money.
I usually order the Birria Surtida when I go here. They serve it in a plate instead of a bowl so its not too soupy. Its severed with some bone in meat and boneless meat. What I really enjoy from this dish is that some parts of the meat is seared which gives it a crunchy texture. This dish is not accompanied with beans and rice. However, onion, cilantro, lime, and their house salsa is provided for you to garnish.

The meat hardly had any game taste one would think it was beef (thats how good they make this birria)I just finished a whole plate and enjoyed every single bite, they give you fresh made tortillas, onion and cilantro and a deliciously spicy sauce to give your tacos a kick. The whole time I was eating the birria I started reminiscing when my grandfather was around and take me early in the morning to eat birria and consome. Wednesday afternoon Im in a not so good area Yelping for something good to eat.Up pops this place in a cool looking plaza. I dont think anything until I see that it is Birria. Not only is it Birria, It is Birria Cabra (Goat). A true Gem or diamond in the rough. This type of food is extremely rare to find on weekdays. Since most Mexican Restaurants will make this delicious dish only on weekends usually on Sundays and even then the dish is not 100% Goat, mostly Beef and Goat.So the Good!100% Goat Birria. Yup!Hot and Fresh and Literally the ONLY Item on the menu. Great!Comes with a side of Cilantro, Onion, Hot Salsa and Tortilla.Good Service. Our waitress was super happy to see us with smiles and asked us every so often if we wanted something more or refills on the sides or tortillas.My friend and I order a Medio (medium) Plate Each. Comes out hot and has the meat piled on.-Some parts of the Birria Cabra meat were on the dry side. But I mean very little parts, not really something to be a stickler about.- Birria Came in a shallow plate with sauce/broth. I think should come in a bowl instead.- Onion was a little dry and the cilantro a little dry as well.Besides this we were both satisfied. Considering my friend NEVER had Birria before in his life, he literally was wiping his plate clean faster then I finished my plate. So thats a Plus.So to the Adventurous eaters. Deff give this place a try if you like to try new foods and especially if you like Latin Food!Enjoy!
Sloppy presentation. Waitress set plates down and consume went everywhere. Too much bones&fat for the price u pay. Some tacos next door would have been better...oh and to top it off u have the cooks, waitresses having their break in the table close to u dipping a Concha in a cup of milk just looking at us, so uncomfortable. Ordered a FULL order right expecting to feed about 2 people because its a FULL order. Ended up getting a order the size of a McDonalds 4 pc kids meal was told THIS was the FULL order. Disappointing. 15 bucks plus tax for this.

2023-09-23 04:32:04Great birria ribs. The agua de jamaica was a bit bitter eventhough it was full of sugar. Waitress accidentally over charged us. Charged 7 rib plates instead of 4. Glad we caught it before paying. She apologized.Traveled from Downey to Lynwood for these ribs and they did not disappoint. They were delicious, worth the traffic.
