Bistro Mediterraneo in San Francisco

Cute little deli-style place for gyro and hummus food. The menu is very small and limited, but the food is fresh and made to order. The hummus was a generous portion, but very strong on the tahini and could have used more salt and seasoning. The gyro place was delicious with very fluffy rice and a nice yogurt sauce on the side. The grape leaves were some of the best I’ve had! Overall, for $33 it was a solid amount of food. We sat outside on the little table.

I wouldnt call this place a hole in the wall type joint, per se, but it definitely gave me that vibe. There werent that many people there, except for a chill young guy behind the counter making all the food, and an older gentleman who appeared to be cleaning things. I got the red-pepper bread and the falafel wrap, both were pretty good. The falafel wrap was pretty satiating, and it had a bunch of varied fillings.A tip: pay attention to the price of what you get. It will tell you generally how much food you get. Those cheaper options may not be enough for a full meal, if youre looking for that.

Hidden gem of Mediterranean food. The falafels were perfectly moist from the inside and were freshly made.Gyro sandwich was full of flavors. This is my goto place now when I am in this area!

Stopped in for a gyro after a long walk. Friendly staff and nice vibes. Doubles as a convenience store so you can buy tampons while you eat your sandwich

Stopped in to grab some take out for family I was visiting in town. The guy were very helpful getting food picked out and it did take a bit longer to make but very worth it! My family that lives in town will definitely be in again. Place was clean, has a small food market as well with Organic options. Was sad the fresh juices were not available but it was winter so no worries.

Lovely place! Food were decent after a hike. I enjoyed the bread and lentil soup. Hummus was not very flavorful. Overall we loved the experience here, sitting outside and watching the neighborhood area while we ate.Great service.

Ordered catering from here for a company lunch. Guests came up to me for hours afterwards talking about how good the food was. I highly recommend the gyro sandwich!The service is incredible and the man usually working the counter is great and accommodating. We had 2 vegans at our lunch and they were able to easily make vegan sandwiches for them as well.

We were so hungry after the Lands End hiking trail and searched for a quick bite nearby. This one had good rating and we wanted to give it a shot. We had the vegetarian falafel sandwich and dolma dish and loved both. There are some Turkish delights if you are looking for any. The only drawback is there’s no seating area. But there’s Lincoln park playground few meters away and we enjoyed our food in this nice park. In a short distance is the Lincoln Park mosaic staircase too.

Delicious food crafted as an art but a long 30 min wait I wasn’t expecting… call ahead to order!

Recently dined at this place. Exceptional food in a casual setting. Every dish was top notch with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended.
