2023-08-07 04:46:45My family and I had an amazing first experience here on a relaxing Sunday evening. The patio has the perfect breeze after such a hot day, and the music perfectly plays in the background. My husband ordered and loved the Arugula salad. I ordered and absolutely loved my pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. I ordered without the bun and it came with the perfect amount of sauce and a pile of delicious red cabbage slaw on top. And the potato salad was one of the best I’ve ever eaten! There isn’t a kids’ menu just yet, but our server helped us create the perfect plates for them. My daughter couldn’t get over how delicious her burger was the all the fixings. I also really appreciated the pricing, too. Super quality and great portion sizes. My husband took the kids home after they all finished, and I’m really enjoying my time as I finish up. So glad we came here tonight!

2023-06-14 23:05:22Food:Oh how I wish we had a blazers near us! We visited while in town from Seattle and we were so impressed with this menu as it is the first BBQ joint we have ever found to cater to vegetarians and meat lovers alike. It was so good that we dined here twice during our trip. We tried the veggie black bean burger, smoked cauliflower, zucchini fries with jalapeño dip, the arugula salad with sautéed grapes (yum!), the nachos with house made queso and last but absolutely not least, the corn ribs . Everything was wonderfully tasty, fresh and expertly prepared, but oh my goodness I have never tasted anything like those corn ribs and Id give a kidney for the recipe. They are salty, tangy and mouth wateringly delicious. Just absolute heaven. They have a wide variety of beverages including some fun and original cocktail options and a fantastic old fashioned bottled rootbeer.Service: Our food was served to us hot and fresh within 10 minutes of ordering and was delivered to our table by the restaurant owner herself. She is delightful and clearly spends a lot of time at her restaurant to ensure everything is running like a well oiled machine and that her customers are happy.Atmosphere: If youre looking for a place that is both family friendly AND party positive, this is your spot! They have a huge covered outdoor seating area with live music, festive lighting and meat on the grill giving off delicious aromas. Inside theres a nice big bar seating area and flat screens on every wall to cover all the sporting events. When we were there, there were kids and adults dancing to the live music (which was great by the way) and it was just a super fun lively atmosphere. We cant wait to go back!

2023-12-06 20:20:00GREAT food, the burger gets high praise from legitimate burger connoisseurs, and the rest of the menu is good too. Live music sounds great here too, wish the lineup would be more legit, seen a few friends play here, but no one that draws a big crowd yet. That’s the reason for 4 stars atmosphere instead of five. The service is great. 100% better than the previous establishment (Jerry’s was awful). No waiting, and friendly attentive staff.Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

2023-06-03 16:16:12Who doesnt love a good BBQ! In northern Marin, there arent many smokehouse restaurants dedicated to grilled meat aficionados. Blazers opened a couple weeks ago so we gave it a go last Friday night. What a pleasant experience! We sat under the canopy outside as did everyone else. I peeked inside and nobody was dining there. No surprise: outside is where its happening! We sat at a table near the stage and enjoyed listening to a live band performing country music. Not my favorite kind of music, but they were quite good and I cant imagine any other type of band for a downhome barbecue vibe. The place filled up soon after the band started. You might want to make reservations.I ordered the ribs, which came with barbecue and honey mustard sauces on the side. The ribs were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Very tasty. Our server was super friendly and offered great suggestions.Overall I had an unexpectedly fun time eating good food and getting into some folksy Cajun/country tunes. (A guy was literally playing a washboard hanging from his shoulders!)I really hope Blazers succeeds. Its bringing a much needed spark of energy to this sleepy part of downtown Novato.Give it a shot. Definitely go when theres a band playing. Im guessing thats weekends only, but perhaps not. Best new restaurant in Novato for quite some time. Ill be back.

2023-08-31 22:00:11This has easily become one of the best spots in Novato. Their food has been really consistent and excellent. Their staff are all top notch and very friendly. Owners are awesome as well. Ive been here during a large work event and they handled the huge crowd really well. My wife and I love stopping by for lunch during the week. The smoked chicken wings, the nachos, and especially the brisket cheesesteak are all must tries.

2023-09-25 00:55:47Stopped by this place for quick take out coming home from a camping trip. I ordered the brisket cheesesteak, the smoked cauliflower, my wife got the pulled pork sandwich and they just gave my 3yr old an order of fries and their house cheese sauce while we waited (thanks!) I normally am not a big fan of cheesesteak adaptations after living in Philly for years, but this was something different and worth me writing a review. First off brisket sandos usually have the slab cut, thin shavings and they’re smothered with BBQ sauce, sometimes because they’re dry. This one has thick nubs of smoky brisket so you get the smoked outside crust, the med-rare pink center in almost every morsel. Then it had some sorta secret tangy sauce part. Not sure if that was with the shredded lettuce or on the brisket or what, but between that, the juicy nubs and the house cheese sauce it made for a super juicy meaty sandwich that hit a perfect balance of smoke (legit smoke from the meat not a bbq sauce) tang and cheese. My favorite cheesesteaks (Pat’s!) are super juicy, they use the bun to soak it all up. This was exactly like that but with a real well balanced blend of exactly what you want from a smoked brisket. Really knocked this out of the park.Other stuff? The slaw has some heat behind it. Mine was tangy and had lots of fresh jalapeño slices so order it if you like heat. My wife ate her pulled pork sando too quick to share but it looked real good. The cauliflower was nice and smoky. I dipped it what I assume is a home made honey mustard sauce they have? Try that, it goes real well together. We got their other house sauces too but honestly the meats were so good on their own I didn’t use them. The covered patio has a musician playing but we couldn’t hang around long enough to enjoy it. I asked, the cover is up year round. Will have to go back with more time to eat in.

2023-07-24 21:01:19When you have family visiting it can be hard to find places that fit everybodys dietary needs. Blazers seemed like a great choice because they had vegan options, along with meat entrees. This restaurant obviously does not know the difference between vegetarian to vegan. We dont expect to be catered to but we do expect a restaurant to not say something is vegan when it is not. At least 3-5 things on the menu had the vegan (specifically said vegan, not just vegetarian) marking on them and they were not. To make them vegan we had to substitute basically everything on them. The BBQ cauliflower was bleh. This place may be great as a vegetarian but not for a vegan. They need to fix their menu to reflect the dishes properly. That is the bare minimum.

2023-06-23 20:25:12Drove up to catch the Novato Live Music last night. The bartender at Viking suggested the new bbq place across the street.I had the most delicious BBQ Brisket Sandwhich with equally delicious cole slaw, followed by the same or better quality Fudge Brownie desert. And the perfect IPA!Kari, the owner is a delight.Wesley

2023-05-25 03:02:01Pleasant greeting, but then long long wait for simple order. While waiting heard Oh Sorry from servers at each table about missed or late items customers expected. At least they were served something within 10-15 minutes. Our wait was 30 minutes plus. Brisket sandwich had very small amount of meat, and therefore overpriced. Server said she would see about a discount for the long delay after I complained about the long delay when a tray was brought out with the wrong items after 30 minutes. She returned a couple minutes later with the right items. Wont stay in business long with the level of service and overpriced items
