Blazing King BBQ & HOTPOT in Palm Desert

This was my first time here, and I was impressed. This is however definitely not your average restaurant; you cook your food at the table. If you bring children, be prepared to cook their food for them! Its also in all you can eat affair, so definitely bring your appetite with you.I have only tried the barbecue portion of the restaurant, there is also a hot pot portion of the restaurant which Im going to try next time.Considering this restaurant is the first of its kind and has only been open for 3 weeks, the staff is remarkably well trained. I showed up to eat at 6:00 p.m. on a Thursday and by 7:00 p.m., the place was packed.Blazing King is unique in the valley, theres nothing else like it. Well you do have a bit more work to do than your average restaurant, would say that its definitely worth your time to check out.Update: Ive been back to this restaurant quite a few times since my original review, and it has become one of my favorite places to eat in the valley. I really enjoy the hot pot side as well, and in some ways I like it better than the barbecue side. You can get both at the same time, although your table ends up being a bit crowded.

Really good Korean barbecue. Good selection of entrees. Salad bar was limited. Try the bulgogi. Really delicious. My only complaint was the ventilation. I know they only opened a few weeks ago, but it was hot and humid inside. The vents above the grilles dont appear adequate and you can see the fog inside of the dining room. You can see the moisture coming out of the wall ac when you walk in. Kind of ruined the whole experience for me. Super hot and uncomfortable. I know its summer, but they need to figure it out.There are two menus. Barbecue or hot pot. We had the barbecue.

Came here on a Monday, friendly greeting upon entering. Taken to seats within like 5 mins.It’s a pretty standard Korean bbq but adds the option for hotpot for an additional cost. Meat selections was not to bad and I like the additions for more premium selections. The options for appetizers and side dishes were ok. Interesting to have more buffet style for sides. Drink selection were not to bad but a little pricey.Service over all was pretty good. They checked in pretty often and we’re on top off keeping the meats comingThe addition of the matcha or vanilla ice cream was a pleasant surprise and really ended the meal off in a nice way.If summary of you are looking for a pretty solid bbq place, this place checks all the boxes

I stopped by here to get dinner after hearing another all you can eat korean bbq had opened here in the valley. I loved the sauce bar and veggie bar for the hot pot. The spicy broth was very delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and explained everything in detail. The meats I tried were mediocre. Ive tried many korean bbq places and there was nothing special about the meat selection or the flavor. If I was craving Korean bbq, I would probably just stick with you grill korean bbq in La Quinta.

Both the hotpot and AYCE KBB were on point. Staff was very nice and served us as fast as we could ask for. Thus place is about to get very consistently busy. Eat hear while you can before the secret gets out.

Food was amazing with affordable beer and soju bombs. Sides were good. Loved the radishes and so many sauces. If Kings Choice meats are this good, I am definitely trying the Kings Premium next visit!

This place is going on my top 5 for BBQ. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff was there every time we finished a dish and were ready to replenish, refill or remove. Its very drafty, understandably so considering the cooking at the tables so Im only mentioning it for my fellow lizard people to suggest you bring a jacket or wear something warm. Other than that it was an extremely pleasant environment / experience and we will absolutely be back!

First time eating hot pot, and it was a great experience. The place looks really cool and super clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.The food was delicious. Cassie was our server, and she was very attentive and made great recommendations. Would definitely come again. Hot pot for two came out approximately $70, so it is on the expensive side, but it is worth it!

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday and we had great experience. The staff was very extremely friendly and walked us through the process. The food was delicious, we will definitely be back!

Now I did not have the hotpot, but this was good. Although I have had better meat at a cheaper price at Gen, this was close enough; and that is not a bad thing. I have to say the waitresses were amazing. They were all friendly and quick with the water refills. Make sure youre willing to spend a premium before going though.Update: Gen KBBQ is no longer better.
