Was really craving boba tea, but with Tehachapi being limited on sources, I didnt set my expectations too high. The thai tea was great, but it was extremely heavy on the ice. Also wasnt really expecting the peach flavored popping bubbles when I ordered (vs the traditional boba). It was okay, but definitely not worth the 5$s for a cup of ice.
I went in to get boba and it was extremely awful. They got it out of a can! Which is absolutely awful and I will never and I mean NEVER EVER go back to this absolutely awful place
Love it! They are very nice and the food is always top quality.Would recommend anytime. We get pho evens in the summer and it hits the spot.
Excellent pho and spring rolls. Those are my got to items. I only wish they where open on Saturday. Being closed on Saturday a prime day for people to go out is not a good business decision IMHO. maybe trying to go out of business..
I had Pho Special here and the broth is very good! I also fell in love with the atmosphere at the restaurant and the customer service is beyond amazing!! I have never met any restaurant owners who are so honest that they really want to make sure you have a good experience eating their food. Would definitely come back again!
I arrived at the location about 6:20pm.... there were 4 guests inside, one person was waiting to pay, the other waiting to order and another eating. We heard a constant raucous coming from the back, but no one came to the front to serve the people in about 10 mins. Then a lady showed up, she was elder with her leg or toe supported. The first words I heard her say infront of the other two guests, was not welcome, or ill be with you in a moment, but you have to wait . I said, excuse me, I have to wait, I replied wait for what? She replied I have a huge order and its just two of us, and im hurt plus working. So when she came to my table, i said, maam, can I provide some feedback. I told her the first thing you say to a customer is not you have to wait, but a greeting. By that time i was the only person left in the restaurant. She pointed to where a man was sitting infront of me and said I know he heard. I said maam me and the gentleman has a talk about what transpired and he agreed thats not how you do business. She then started to carry on about being here for 15 years and how everyoneloves her. A gentleman and his son walked into the restaurant, she then proceeded to tell him what transpired and to appear to make me look bad...I told the gentleman and his son what happened and told her, it seems like I should just leave, if you plan on telling everyone who walks into the store. I really wanted some noodles but I cannot be treated this way and spend my money and continue to feel uncomfortable.
Absolutely terrible. Dry spring rolls, greasy pho broth, very unusual tasting chicken. Threw $40 worth of food in the trash.
Was really good food, they just left the poor old dude by himself to run the restaurant. Barely spoke English. He kept trying to call his people to translate for him. Considering the difficulty, we got what we ordered and were able to split the check.
The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. We were about 3 hours from home and stopped to get some pho because we were craving it. We were 100% okay with enjoying the to go order in the car but when they saw us eating in the car they brought us sodas and extra forks and plates. It was so sweet and we were so appreciative of it. They were so sincere. Great experience!

These types of restaurants drive me nuts with the way they have the menus and you have to order 3-4 plates to get what you want. But I wanted the wife to enjoy so I went and settled just to get it over with.Surprisingly I try s actually very good. But the weirdest chow mien I have ever encountered. Oh well .
I do not understand how this place has 4 stars! The service is absolutely terrible. Everything we ordered came out some type of wrong! Menus on floor and using them again. There is no music it’s a very tight space but I can say they had good pho broth if I were to eat there again I would call ahead to order Togo

My mom and I stopped here on our way to Arizona! My mom had never had Pho and she is in love with it now! The boba was amazing as was the chow mein! Had huge fresh veggies and amazing chicken! Great service and beautiful restaurant! Cant wait to go again!!!
Good pho for Tehachapi. I would make a stop here anytime. Its way better then some pho places Ive had. However, just on the pricey side.
This is seriously one of the best Phos that I have had, and Ive tried them in several different states and another country. I hardly need to add any sauces because the broth is so delicious. Be very specific with what you want, as some of the staff can have a difficult time with English.

Best pho Ive had in southern California. Their #2 special is great! If youre going to go Id recommend their spring rolls with peanut sauce. Its half the reason I go once a week.
New (ish) menu, still yummy meals, good service. Tried Drunken Noodles which I had never tasted, after the server described it to me. Nose-running level of spicy sauce, but all the flavors of each ingredient still came through, basil, chicken, beef, shrimp, carrot, broccoli. Very satisfying food.
First time com here from Nevada, and I be here with 3 other friends. The food is okie, the service is so fast, the gentleman he did a good job, he can do the host, food runner, waiter, cashier, pick up order on phone and he make a good smoothies for my wife, the restaurant have a good pricing, we really like the server very friendly, and he give us a lot of good suggestion
Nice clean food options for vegetarians. Pho was ok, not so authentic, but that was probably because it was vegetarian broth. Egg rolls were good but no fresh veggies, was expecting more of a traditional experience but did not get that here.
Good experience so far everytime we pass through. Great comfort food for those who have had it before and great new food for those who havent.

Food was always great toll we had an issue with mildew cups... The waiter replaced. Them with to go cups but turned us off knowing that cups were sitting long enough to grow mildew on the bottom which would have another cup inside of that.
I would compare the Pho in this place to anything I had in Seattle or elsewhere. This is high quality stuff. The Brisket/Meatball Combo is my favorite bowl of Pho. Its general menu is great too. The fried rice is exceptional; egg rolls fantastic. Always good service and quality ingredients. I wouldnt expect such a place to exist in Tehachapi, but its a gem within that small town. Definitley worth a visit.
This has always been a go-to for our family, but they changed recently and made it even better. Pork spring rolls with peanut sauce are wonderfully seasoned. Sound odd? Try them and youll see what I mean. The Pho actually improved. Just when you think nothing could improve on an already complex flavored soup, they made that happen too. It is hard to pinpoint, but its like they managed to add a slightly nutty profile that adds to the finish. Sesame perhaps? If youre a Pho fan and are in the AV or Bakersfield, make the trip. And, right after, check out the other destination location just south of there- Veritas Wine and Tapas. Tehachapi seems to have some real gems to offer.
Its either a hit or miss kind of place. Some dishes are good while others range from meh to bad. This last trip my husband and I got marinated steak cubes and they were definitely between meh and bad. The spring rolls were awesome, and the shrimp fried rice was closer to good than meh. Beef noodle soup was also order and I thought the soup was great but the beef was kind of gross. It was as if a package of sliced roast beef was cut up and thrown it. My husband and I agreed on everythings rating except he didnt like the spring rolls. Since it is a smaller restaurant there was only one server and he played host, waiter, answered the phone and dealt with everything to do with to go orders except cooking the actual food while the kitchen staff seemed to be a lot less busy. We could tell by watching them come out of the kitchen, watch the server working hard doing everything, than lazily stroll back to the kitchen. We watched this happen several times and we werent even there for a very long time. I get that kitchen staff shouldnt be assisting, but its kind of a rude thing to do. Some cross training with someone from the kitchen who isnt doing much should be in order so that the server isnt running around crazy. We left our server a nice big tip because he definitely did everything to deserve it. With how meh the taste of the food was, the kitchen needs some serious retraining.

I ate there twice. I never have problems with salt intake swelling my body but both times afterwards I looked like a balloon and Im a thin person. Other women have told me the same thing. If its not ftom unreasonable quantities of salt in their food its from some other scary ingredient. I didnt go there a third time!
I regret coming here but I am glad I left and didnt eat the food. The server brought the tray of clean dishes and started putting them on the table; the dishes were foul smelling and still dirty and my fork had a maggot, a maggot! A MAGGOT! I asked for a new one to the server and they were hesitant to take it back. When we went to inform the server we were leaving I got to see her grabbing and serving food just with her BARE HANDS! and when I informed her we were leaving and cancelling our order she shouted back angrily, GO!!! As a visitor to Tehachapi I was greeted by the great locals and other great restaurants, unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this place.
We havent eaten in and always taken it with us, but the broth and noodles in the pho are delicious. The staff is always friendly and it is a clean and nicely decorated place. And the prices are pretty reasonable.
I think Im very afraid of this restaurant, the reason I think customer have to understand, in the boss shop just want to open the dark light restaurant, the reason for some customers to eat in noodle soup with cockroaches, yes the restaurant has a lot of small cockroaches, guests think is dry onions, but there are also few big cockroaches that are discovered by guests.Do you know why the restaurant staff are eating lunch in the communal noon?, because the staff do not dare to eat the beef, chicken, shrimp marinated in the BORAX and the MSG, I know you like our noodle soup and Vietnamese food, but you are careful with toxins (BORAX) of the soldering and MSG.
Passing through, saw a decently rated Pho restaurant so I stopped in for lunch. Food (spring rolls and Beef Pho) was fresh, quick and very good. I would definitely come back!
Closed by the health department for cleanliness and Roaches. Not sure when they reopen.Edit: I am told there is new management. It supposedly is very clean inside. I was also told you get a free beverage with your meal. I still have not made it inside yet.

I really did love this place. But I had a bad experience this evening. It is posted that they close at 9pm, I called to place an order around 7:40 and no one answered. I called again and they hung up on me. So I drove down to the restaurant at 8pm and they were closed. I like their food, but terrible service if you ask me.

This place is a rip off. I ordered pho with extra tripes. They charged me $2.50 and got 2 extra pieces. I mentioned it to their staff who doesn’t seem to care.

2023-11-21 17:41:55I had the hardest time ordering from them! It was so infuriating. I kept it simple. They made order so much harder. I asked for (chicken broth, noodles, chicken meat only) they completely acted like they didn’t understand. It’s for a child that has flu; then they tried to get me to pay for item twice, when I went to order a beef broth with just noodles and meat the second time. The meat for beef broth is not cooked!I asked very simple and the guy picks up menu and says this one while pointing. I said yes, if it’s just three ingredients, it wasn’t. I had to show receipt to someone eles showing I paid for it once, then women came out from back and said ok; it will be $32 for both. I just shook my head and said I already paid. Women said, I’m so confused, English hard. I already paid for one, I’m ordering a second what is so confusing? I will never go back to this place. It was more then infuriating talking to these people. No English skills at all and bad attitude! I was recommended to go to them for broth. No never again.

Had an interesting experience here honestly.Staff was nice at the beginning, food came out fast, it’s was good, not the best ever but good for the time.The young girl taking our order was extremely attentive and would check on everyone in the small restaurant.The other people operating honestly seemed lost at times and would argue in front of house with each other. Any business establishment should know better to not do that! At the end of our visit the young girl from the beginning was crying and still pushing through to ring guests up.Be aware of how you treat your staff, regardless of who is watching.I wouldn’t go back here because of this. The young lady saved the whole experience for us honestly.

Also tried the fried spring rolls, as those are my favorite from other restaurants, they were not good, only took one bite.I was sad by the food but not disappointed until i went to pay.Their prices did not match the menu they gave me.My pho showed 10 and spring rolls(2 pieces) showed 6.Pho ended up being 12.95 and spring rolls 9. It was just not worth the price...Staff were nice, but she did not care that her prices reflected different when asked. I feel she should have honored her prices until she updates her menus.

The staff were very eager to attend me and they were extremely friendly.I was going to dine in and stay but I ended up taking my order to-go because the place smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke (yet I didn’t see anyone smoking when I walked in). The smell was so powerful I started to feel a little nauseous (not great when serving hungry customers).When I took the food home I have to say the food was pretty bland, no spices or flavor at all (I added my own garlic powder and chili flakes though and did the trick👌🏻).I gave it 3 stars because the staff was so friendly. But I don’t think I’ll be going back there.

2023-01-09 12:33:15The Pho here is amazing!!! Broth is tasty and definitely is not over powered by star-anise or other spices. Perfect amount of noodles but would have wanted more meat in the soup. Environment is friendly and staff is attentive.

2019-09-16 19:07:58Always loved this place. If you havent tried pho its an insanely delicious soup and under 10 bucks for a large bowl. Drinks are great, it comes highly recommended for its low price, consistant quality and quick service.
