2023-11-29 05:01:15I wasnt going to write a review of this spot in the layfayette shopping center but no way this is a 3.9. It is much better than that. Sushi here was very good, so was service. Dont listen to the haters!

2023-09-19 02:52:08I have always had good sushi here. Fresh and decent portions. Expensive. The spider roll is solid, no imitation crab or filler. I love Ebisu in the inner sunset and for the far east bay, this is the closest to it that I have found.

2023-04-03 22:12:28Consistently fantastic food, atmosphere, and staff, whether you choose to eat in-person or pickup your meal.My family has been going here for 5+ years and its part of the regular rotation. The appetizers, meals, and sushi selections are all delicious. No idea why previous commenters would complain about a fish smell in a fish-based cuisine establishment...

2018-05-31 16:09:06Small quiet sushi joint, perfect for a date night. Went at 8 and sat at the sushi bar. Server was very nice and friendly. Had really good cold sake(had a little ice chamber to keep it cold) miso soup and tofu to start. The sushi rolls were made quick, and they were amazing! Reasonably priced too. We both really enjoyed our dinner date. Will be back

2023-01-13 23:53:11Fiancé and I came here on a whim. Its a really cute little place and the employees were so friendly and sweet. Unfortunately it smelled extremely fishy upon entry-- and not in a good way. Fiancé got the seafood ramen and said it tasted very off, like bad sea water, and also a bit like ammonia, which is a sign of bad fish (tends to naturally take on this taste when it has expired). He ended up having food poisoning all night into the next day.We really wanted to love this place, but perhaps there needs to be a new system for the incoming seafood ingredients. Probably need to make some freshness adjustments if customers are getting sick.Though we love supporting local businesses, this was a red flag for contaminants, although the grilled rice balls were delicious. We will be steering clear for now. Maybe it was just a bad day for fish.

2022-08-19 16:31:47Everything good to excellent and very nice wait staff. As a first time visitor I would have liked photos or more detailed descriptions on the menu but my companion made some really good choices.

2018-01-06 02:13:39Normally this wouldnt be a problem, but as this is the second time Ive had this experience, I am leaving this review. My family and I made a take-out order and were instructed to wait for twenty minutes. We returned after that time, payed, and continued to wait... For half an hour. At this point there was still no sign of the food (or a that there had been any progress to fulfilling our order), so we asked for a refund and left. Again, if this were a one time occurrence, Id give them benefit of the doubt, but it appears there is a problem in their order handling. I hope they solve this because the food they serve is superb.
