We had a very odd experience here that made me never want to come back. Im choosing my words very delicately because Im not one to throw accusations around but Im not really sure if this was racism, negligence or dishonesty. Either way it should have never happened.We had a table of 6, Mexican/black and one white woman. Not that it should matter but Im giving you a visual. We were celebrating a birthday. We noticed first that getting service was difficult here and our waiter was frustrated with us because he kept forgetting basic things we needed and we had to ask him. We just figured he was very busy. But then we started noticing that he was giving very different qualities of service to different people. Once again, we thought it was coincidence. An example of one incident was like, my refill was automatic but the black women at the table had to keep asking. I received ice in mine. They received just soda and had to ask for ice. It was very odd and we really tried to not overthink it we thought he was just a bad server or very busy. We had a $650 tab that myself and my friend (who happens to be a black woman) split in half. $325 each. I made sure both tabs had been signed and gratuity was on there and I double checked them both before leaving. As my friends went to the bathroom as we were leaving, their boxed and bagged leftovers were thrown away which was almost 3 full rolls because they barely ate. They asked for replacements for the thrown out food and ended up having to argue with the employees. the employees decided to check the garbage to make sure we were telling the truth. They then told us they checked the garbage and agreed we were honest so they made new rolls and sent us on our way. The next day my friend is looking at her account and it says $400 was taken out instead of $325 like mine. I urged her to go back and find out why because it seemed fishy to me. Turns out they charged her for the rolls they made to replace the ones they threw out. It also wasnt the same rolls we originally ordered. They charged her for something she didnt sign for in a very sneaky way and for that they get a one star review from me. Their food was pretty good. Their atmosphere was hot and uncomfortable but it was a pretty place. Service was bad but they were also busy so I give them some credit for that. But the dishonesty at the end was not okay in any way and I dont know what fueled it I just know somehow we noticed this odd feeling all night then suddenly her card is charged extra and not mine. Very suspicious.

Best sushi in roseville so far that I tried. The fish is still not as fresh as I want tho but still much better than nearby places. Can be crowded with up to hours wait, avoid going in at peaked hours or call in to check first. Reasonable price and good services. Lots of variety of rolls.

Blue Nami is our absolute favorite sushi spot! Always delicious and fresh! Love the atmosphere there and the service.I took a pic of the BBQ Albacore (appetizer) soooooo good! 😋 😋 😋We devoured our roles so fast that I forgot to snap a picture. Lol

The decorations, atmosphere and staff were great. Unfortunately the food I ordered was the worst sushi I had ever had. I ordered a hand roll with real crab. The crab was either so old and or dry that it tasted and the texture was like dried crunchy noodles. They also only had very limited gluten free options. This was literally twice as much as other sushi restaurants that are nearby with much better quality. Unfortunately I will never go here again but hopefully other food choices are better than what I got. I rated it a 3 because my boyfriends roll looked much better than mine so Im sure they have some good options here, I just did not have that experience personally.

Very bad eating experience. Ive been to other Blue Nami locations and this one disappoints me. The sashimi has fish scales and I’ll attach a photo as proof! My group ordered several items that were listed with no spicy indication and we got dishes that sent a person begging for water refills and jalapeños with jalapeño marinade on the assorted sashimi. Our waiter was very nice, but the head server Keith was pretty rude and acted like we were out of line for asking for new dishes without spicy flavor… when we originally ordered non-spicy food. We kept a menu behind to make sure we could order more later and I double checked, there was no red “S” to indicate spice. Keith came to our table personally, acting like we were absurd for asking for new sashimi without the jalapeño oil all over it and told us to just pick off the jalapeño slices. When I said I’d like 2 non-spicy pieces of sashimi, he took one of our drink menus and stomped off, visibly angry and slapped the menu on the reception table on his way to the kitchen. I could understand if it was a busy time, but he glared at us like we wanted to fight even though we were apologizing several times for the trouble of remaking the dishes. It felt like our very existence was a pain in his neck, we we really won’t be eating here again. Other waiters said they had trouble with the menus in the past with the labels and indications of sauces and spiciness, so I don’t know why he acted this way to just us.

Trendy fusion Asian foods and sushi. Food is delicious. Sake don was more generous in potions. Have never seen sushi served Flambe!!! Really fun dish! Direct competitor for the popular Mikuni branded restaurants. Fun, hip, trendy atmosphere with friendly, and fast servers. Bathroom are clean.

Sushi are fresh and delicious, big variety, they melt in your mouth. Highly recommend this place. We came on Thursday around 7 pm, no wait time, no reservations needed. Our waiter was friendly and he provided great service in a timely manner.

Good food. Good sized portions. I had enough leftover from my bento box to have another meal later. The California rolls and beef teriyaki were delicious. Decent prices and friendly staff.
