One of the best poke places Ive ever eaten at. The fish is very fresh and the bowls are hearty in size. I ordered delivery three times and forgot to take pictures because it looked so good. So all you get on this one is an empty bowl from a satisfied customer. The avocado was really good every time.Update. This place is so good that I had it one more time before I left San Diego. I managed to get a picture halfway through my meal.

Hands down, this is my go to pokē spot in all of San Diego. While the cost may be a tad high, I can say with absolute confidence that its absolutely worth every penny. The fishs freshness and the precision with which my usual order is prepared consistently impresses me. The ambiance of the place is undeniably modern, and I must emphasize how exceptionally clean it is. The staff is incredibly approachable, especially if youre a first time customer trying pokē for the first time. What sets this place apart even more is their generous military discount, making the experience even more accessible for those who serve/d. Needless to say, the foods freshness and overall flavor are nothing short of amazing. A solid 10/10! I love how Blue poke provides the perfect opportunity to customize your preference to your preferred health requirements, dietary restrictions, or even personal taste. They have so much protein selections from fresh cubed salmon, tuna, scallops to name a few and with a wide variety of toppings and sauces to choose from, you can definitely craft a bowl or pokiritto that suits your taste buds to perfection here! Its a little expensive depending on what you get, but its SO good. Plus the bowls are definitely worth the price. Any time I want to treat myself, I go here. The ideal time to go is during the summer when its especially hot. You get a delicious and refreshing meal in a very clean and cool place. Definitely recommend it!

Yes, we came back for Round #2!!******Bring a jacket! Its really chilly on the inside! First step in the door, and we knew we were in for a great experience. The whole building was cold 🥶. The service was exceptionally fast. The server had no issues when we asked for 2 different bowls for separate flavors. The poke (Salmon, Albacore, and Tuna) was portioned well with ALL the toppings you could imagine!

Ok so this place my favorite poke place. The food was ok, nothing impressive, but pricier than most poke places to begin with and then they nickel and dime you over the simplest ingredients. Like an extra $1 for eel sauce or imitation crab🤦‍♀️ When you take out the ingredients that are $1 extra, you are left with basically nothing, not even a third of what other places have.The place was cute, but also super cold so we had to rush our lunch and get out of there.Overall a disappointing experience.

I have been here many times in the past and from my perspective the quality is a little bit down maybe because of some staff members. White Rice wasnt cooked well and it was still starchy. The octopus was cut down too much couldnt tell it was there. Customer service I give it a B just because the lady seemed to be in a hurry when I was reading off a list while I was the only customer inside. The atmosphere inside is a bit gloomy There were no lights on.

The food itself is fine, but the service isn’t great I made an online order for 2 regular bowls. I got an email saying it was ready to be picked up, but when my husband went there, it wasn’t even started yet. Later when we opened our order at home, both bowls were incorrectly made. The different items we chose were mixed up between the two bowls. Fortunately we don’t have any food allergies because this situation could be worse.

I ordered in person to go from this place for lunch and yes it was pretty packed but the employees were amazing with welcoming along with keeping everything organized and giving me what was the best for my bowl being a first timer. Yes it can be pricey but it is seafood at the end of the day plus the amounts of toppings and good portions sizes they give but some items can cost just a dollar extra. Really good poke with large portions. The small comes with two scoops of protein- I opted for salmon, which was very buttery and fresh. I also noticed that there were vegan options as well, such as tofu and plant based tuna. They do charge an additional $1 for certain add ons, such as imitation crab meat and avocado.My favorite part was the option of quinoa as a base. Ive replaced rice with quinoa in my diet, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that. First time I’ve come across a poke spot that offers quinoa!The interior is clean and spacious, and theres ample parking.

Customer service could be improved. The lady did not seem to want to be working there and had an attitude because it was our first time there. Also, I heard the other 2 workers in the corner that sounded like they were gossiping. Saying she is scared? Or not. Because me and my husband were sharing a bowl and wanted to take turns picking out the ingredients.The large comes with 4 scoops. I picked 3 out and she thought I already picked 4 and had an attitude again...the portion size is a lot smaller than all the other poke spots I had in SD. A large is equivalent to a small when compared to my go to spots. Not worth the price at all but the hot poke sauce is really good. Fish could be a little better quality but the customer service just ruined the experience there.

Prices are comparable with other poke places. However, they just recently increased their prices. They have a good variety of fish. They have abacore, tuna, salmon, and yellow tail. Youll have to pay a $1 more for the yellowtail. They have plenty of different options and toppings. Their house blue poke sauce is pretty tasty. It has just the right flavor with just right amount of spice. They dont have eel sauce though. The overall place seems clean and the decor feels modern and hip. I would definitely come back.

I absolutely adore fresh seafood and sashimi so I was really looking forward to this event. It was my first visit but it wont be my last!I was greeted by the droves of great customer reviews posted from Google and Yelp; I didnt cheat and look before coming in. I got even more excited. I had purchased poke before but every shop has their own little twist. The young lady was very kind in explaining the offerings, including plant based tuna (?) and let me go crazy. She was very patient, as I changed my mind a few times over.The result was a scrumptious and delectable bowl of heaven! The original poke sauce is similar to eel sauce that got a huge kick in the pants - delicious! I asked for a couple of items on the side and she was quick to accommodate me - so gracious!And heres how fresh the seafood is... while I was sitting there, a batch of fresh fish was delivered! If you love a sushi (not rolled) and fresh mix of salad with the best seasoning all in a bowl, I strongly recommend find this quiet, no crowding most delicious way of healthiest filling up the tummy. Amazing! Food selection is always fresh. I always mix it up, never get the same thing and Ive never had a bad combo. Whenever I crave a poke bowl, I always come here. Restaurant is clean and well kept. Staff is accommodating and their texting feature to communicate is so convenient. I left my ring in the bathroom once and through texts, I able to let them know the urgency of finding it. We mistakenly came before doors opened 2 days later, knocked and someone actually came to open the door where others wouldve waived us off. Thank you so very much!

I had an amazing experience here. It was my first time yesterday. The proteins dont have that unpleasant fishy smell (thawed out bloody smell) and I was impressed by the cleanliness and they offer wonton chips, spiraled cucumber and even quinoa!!!! Very nice!I also noticed really inconsistent reviews on here complaining about worker attitude... I didnt notice any bad vibe from any of the workers and it was extremely busy yesterday. They worked super as a team and no attitude was being thrown around at all, so it looks like some of the negative reviews are vindictive and fabricated.However I did see a lady dish attitude to a worker yesterday, who remained very calm and explained the extra sauce or extra crab and mango charges, which seems fair as it is their pricing menu. Then she and her friend walked over to the table and had no shame in talking pilau (dirty) about the worker thinking they cant be heard. Really shame how people treat businesses especially after a pandemic.Most times, it is the customer who is rude first so if the workers dont bow down on hands and knees to you because you had a bad day, check your emotions at any door you enter. Its not fair to the business, especially when they follow all health and safety guidelines and are very amiable and professional.Thank you to the Blue Poke team 💙for being so patient when serving the customers. Came in to pick up an Uber eats order and was not acknowledged for about 5 minutes, even though their wasnt anyone else there besides me and the 3 employees. Take in note that they did not even know I was an Uber driver what if I was a regular customer? Used to come here all the time but wow this time I came they are trying to make more profit by charging everything that used to be free...1$ on imitation crab, spicy imitation crab, avocado (this one I understand) but mango and eel sauce!!! C mon thats ridiculous...their excuse cause prices have gone up...but all other poke places have not tried to charge extra for those exact same items....not coming back. NEW REVIEW: After the owner had contacted me to assure me that the mistakes in my order were due to low stock of items at the store and a busy lunch rush, he had issued me a full refund of my original order as well as a $50 gift card to give them another try. After ordering again this weekend I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my order. After seeing how the workers prepare an online order I would recommend going into the store to order. They have to read off of a small receipt for online orders and make space in the assembly line while other workers are working on other customers orders. Also ordering in person ensures that you have no missing items because you are telling them what you want as they are making your order. Overall my experience was much better than my last.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had ordered 4 poke bowls online, thinking that ordering ahead of time might be more convenient. ALL of the 4 bowls that I ordered were made incorrectly with several items missing from each bowl. The crab salad, cucumbers, carrots, edamame, spicy tuna, cilantro, and masago were items that were missing from ALL of my bowls. I can even see the items listed on the receipt and yet they were no where to be found. This made the meal laughable and not satisfying. ON TOP OF THAT, after trying to get in contact with their customer service team I am met with radio silence. Maybe think twice before ordering here as there are many other poke places around San Diego that offer better service.

Admittedly, they used to be 2nd for me but something changed and I think theyre the best in SD, definitely in national city.Their customer service is usually prompt, courteous, and friendly. Their portions are great, but it can be a bit costly. Granted, prices went up because of inflation and covid.Otherwise the ingredients in their poke are always refreshing and tasty. With poke becoming the new hot food, I am seeing dozens of poke bowl places open up all over San Diego. There are maybe a handful that are distinguishing themselves as legitimate places to go. One of these is Blue Poké.Location is easy. My wife tells me that this place can be a beast to park at with limited parking spots, I had no problem. We didnt go during normal hot hours. Walking in, first thing I noticed is that its easily one of the best looking places around. It has a cool artsy vibe that reminds you of the ocean. I dont know if its because this place really hates doing Uber Eats orders or what, because ordering through the app, gives you an abysmally terrible quality of food everytime Ive ordered. The times I have gone to eat in person, the food was always fresh and delicious. Yesterday was not the case, and has nailed the final nail in the coffin for me on not eating from here again. I had ordered 2 Blue Poke bowls with the same proteins and items. Many of the items I ordered, were missing from the bowls, including items I paid extra for. Whenever I ordered through the Uber app, this would ALWAYS happen. Asked for several specific sauces, and none were mixed in or added into the poke bowl, making it dry. Again, this always happens when ordering through Uber. However, the third issue was the worst problem.Right after our food was delivered, my coworker and I began eating our food. Throughout half way, my coworker would stop chewing and would spit into her napkin. She complained of a bad, bitter taste in the food. She smelled her bowl and noted that it smelled different than usual but thought it was her new meds affecting her taste buds. About 75% into my bowl, I began tasting something foul as well, and found I could not eat the rest of my food. We both had gotten the same proteins and items. I tried figuring out what was making the bowl taste so off, and chewed on individual pieces of the salmon. The salmon did not taste fresh at all, and had this old fridge taste to it. We threw our stuff away and head back to work. About an hour later, I get a text from my coworker asking if I was feeling ill or had a stomach ache. I had begun feeling unwell and became sick at work, along with my coworker. I have loved Blue Poke for as long as I had lived in the area. But it has become too apparent the quality difference between eating there in person, and ordering through food apps. This time it caused me illness, and so its time to eat/order elsewhere.

I never knew you could customize Poke like this. I was very pleased with the customization they allow. I always bought the plain poke with just fish and rice. I’m happy to say the fish in this restaurant smelled fresh and tasted fresh, the extra ingredients you may add also tasted fresh. The staff that handled my order followed procedures handling food properly and their work environment look clean, I’m pretty serious about cleanliness when it comes to raw fish and will rate any restaurant accordingly. The staff that prepared my poke was also very polite and kept eye contact, good customer service for my particular experience. Overall, I would recommend this place to try out.

It was an uncalled for situation especially since he is a manger and the employees handled it more professional and apologized to me for him . Employees are Friendly. To me, California Style Poke is super-fresh fish combined with a super-fresh base of greens and choice of rice type. This same attention detail transfers over to the proteins and produce being served. While my poke was being made, I peeked back to the prep area (its fully open) and saw a lady taking greens from a bag and washing them. I was impressed. Not because people were washing produce, but the greens came from the type of bag youd get from the farmers market - not a mass sourced food supplier. That was a nice touch.If there are any cons to eating here it would be the toppings. But this was all on me. My preference is to choose my base then my proteins and then all my toppings go on last. Im sure they would have accommodated this request if asked. Next time I will because I will definitely be going back again and again and again.

Decided to pass by this location for the first time already being in the area and not wanting to drive to Eastlake to PokeBay where I usually go. Walking in I was surprised at how much more expensive the bowls were.. but again I didn’t want to drive the extra 12 miles for what I’m used to getting. Now half of the time I couldn’t understand what the employee was saying with talking so fast so when I would ask “I’m sorry.. what was that” she seemed to get annoyed repeated her words. Later I asked if there was anything similar to a spicy mayo and she said only the sriracha sauce to later find out there was a chipotle mayo having preferred that. Once paying I still left a 15%+ tip and asked for soy sauce, to then notice it was never put in the bag along with not getting a receipt or offered one either. In the end I winded up paying almost $16 for a small bowl when I normally pay $11 for a medium bowl somewhere else. Finally once opening the bowl I noticed how small the potions were with sides and protein compared to the base. It was practically half of the bowl full of quinoa and everything else seemed like a spoon full. So overall after first trying this place it’s definitely my last time.. the customer service was not the best but not horrible either and the quality is good, but comparing this place to PokeBay there is a HUGE difference in the quantity and the price.

The workers behind the counter all used gloves while serving the food which is what is expected, however while eating my food I observed a gentleman who had been working on a laptop on one of the tables go behind the counter and make himself a bowl.
