So after a long week involving work look, school, AND moving. I needed food. I didnt want to cook.I really wanted Chinese food. Well. Doing a quick Google search this place came up with very good reviews.I to my son in and ordered to go.I really liked seeing the smaller menu. It allows them to focus on quality over quantity.We got combo rice, combo chow mein, Cung pow chicken, and the best sweet and sour chicken.They were all very nice and polite. The restaurant was very clean.The very nice lady, all smiles, brought the food out and verified our order.We got to our new place and made plates with a bit of everything. I shoulda asked for hot mustard. Oh well. Its all very good. Nothing is over cooked. . Its all very tasty. And Theres a lot of food. So leftovers will be scrumptious. Very plentiful, and all very good. Id love to make this my regular Chinese food place and try more options

We ordered food to go, and were excited to try a new place.We ordered broccoli beef, house fried rice, cream cheese wonton, vegetable chow mein, szechuan chicken, and broccoli in spicy garlic sauce. ALL of it was awful.The cream cheese wonton werent warm, just a fat clump of cold un-seasoned, tasteless cream cheese. The szechuan chicken is not at all spicy, tastes like cinnamon and vanilla??? And its a soggy, chewy texture and looked like pork when I bit into it (it wasnt pork). The chow mein was absolutely depressing. No flavor, no scent, and overcooked to mush. Spicy garlic broccoli was not at all spicy nor did it taste like garlic, it tasted like regular steamed broccoli, but had the coloring like it was seasoned and spicy. Ive never had broccoli beef look as skimpy or sad as what we got here. All in all we paid about 72.00 for all of these items, just to be completely shocked by price and depressed by the lack of flavor, and lack of excitement. This was the worst, and ONLY terrible Chinese food experience Ive ever had. Dont waste your time or your money here.

High rating is deserved. Food is quite good. Lots of veggies, and not over cooked (I see some ppl complain about “raw” but I like my broccoli to have a backbone) food comes out fairly quickly but obviously very freshly prepared. This place is really about takeout. It’s not really for dining in, but is very good. Prices cheap. Will 100 come here again for takeout despite living quite far.

Meh... Edible but mediocre at best. Decent price for portions compared to other places but you get what you pay for. Broccoli in broccoli beef was practically raw and the sauce was strangely sweet. Orange chicken lacked flavor but was pretty good. Pork fried rice tasted off and was too onion-y (should have ordered with no onions). Probably wont eat the leftovers and Im that guy that will pan fry and eat Chinese food leftovers everyday until theyre gone. Best part was the egg drop soup which was delicious and almost too hot to eat. The soup earned the 3rd star. Lol. Guess Ill eat that the next couple days. Not exactly sure why this place is rated so highly but to each their own. Wonderful Chinese at Sylvan Corners is always amazing but they dont deliver through DoorDash or Uber Eats.

The food here is amazing! They have all the classics for great prices. If you want to try something a little out of the ordinary, the cherry pork is delicious. Theyve had to switch to take-out only because of COVID, but theyve made it as easy and contact-free as possible. They give fast service and generous portion sizes. Im definitely eating here again soon!

Not the other places, we always get the best dishes no matter what we order! We ordered dinner here through Doordash. Portions were huge and price was comparable to other Chinese restaurants. The food was pretty bland. Not much flavoring at all. The sauces on our food was scarce. I will say that the honey walnut prawns were the best Ive ever had though! They were huge and had the perfect amount of sauce on them. I hope that this restaurant will read this and up the flavoring and sauce amounts on the other food though because I would love to order from here again.

I found this place on uber eats and it travels well. My family and I love the salt/pepper Spareribs. The cherry pork and broccoli with spicy garlic sauce are also great. Definitely worth the visit to eat

Update 3/2017: really gone downhill. Delivery orders consistently wrong (including no requested chopsticks or sauces), in house sevice slow, and food quality isnt like it was. Im not sure what happened, but a steady decline in quality and service over to past year especially. Still low prices, lunch special pricing, and still are good about my service dog though. 3 stars down from 5.Besides large portions, delivery, great prices... Review as disabled person with service dogs: The other night I was at this Chinese restaurant and felt so comfortable. I was treated the same as any other patron, seated without comments or even any staff paying attention to the dogs. It was quite refreshing to receive absolutely no special attention positive or negative. This is something all special needs /disabled folks need: feeling absolutely normal and comfortable to blend in.Okay, so the food I ordered came out quickly, hot, tasty, and larger portions than I was expecting. Same goes for delivery! Arrives hot and tasty!

I think people are exaggerating the food. Its totally edible, and, its nowhere near amazing. The walnut shrimp was a huge let down. Their shrimp are fully battered like deep fried prawns, and they only toss the cabbage in the sauce, not the shrimp.I ordered to-go and the portion size of the rice and noodles was notably smaller than other restaurants. Ill stick with lucky wok or green Jade. Its fine, but definitely not amazing.

Ordered shrimp fried rice, a appetizer platter and general tso chicken. Nothing was fully cooked, my shrimp definitely wasnt cooked all the way bc it was soft and mushy and had an off taste. The appetizer had shrimp in it and the breading was cooked all the way but it looked old and the shrimp inside was soft and mushy. Shrimp is supposed to be firm and kinda crunchy like fried chicken or something. The general tso chicken didnt even come with rice, it was a whole container of chicken and it was barely edible. Everything was super greasy, not fully cooked or old. The only thing good was the cheese wontons bc they were fully cooked and had cheese inside. I feel like I might get sick off of this and will need to recook it to make sure. There was also egg rolls with the appetizer and they were mushy inside. It seems like they just flash cook the food or something. Worst food Ive ever eaten and Ive had pretty bad food. I called the order in and they said 30 mins and they called me back in 15 saying it was done, I shouldve known from that call that the food wasnt going to be good. And the whole order was $40! I couldve bought and cooked my own food for that for the whole week! They should be one of those restaurants where they prep the food but you have to cook it at home because this was basically the case. Mmmmm I love food poisoning with my Chinese 🤣

My husband and I tried this place on a whim. We were a little unsure since the place was empty. The interior was rather no frills, which didnt faze me a bit.We were pleasantly surprised. My husband ordered the General Tsao chicken and it was wonderful. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it was amazing. Probably the best Mongolian beef Ive ever had. The hot and sour soup was also great. The service was welcoming and prompt. We will definitely be back soon!I only wish we lived in the delivery radius.

After our food was chucked at us as, I am writing this review. . If you value customer service this is not the place to enjoy a meal. The front woman was so incredibly rude I cannot believe it. I treat strangers on the street better than that. No one deserves to be treated so disrespectfully. And no, the food didnt make up for being treated like I hit her. Nor the fact that there was no eating utensil in the bag. All around bad.

The service is always very friendly and quick. Ive visited many times both dining in and carrying out, and it has never disappointed. Ive had many different dishes, and all have been delicious. The eggplant with garlic sauce is a surprising favorite. I also love the general chicken, war wonton soup, hot and sour soup, sizzling rice soup, happy family (delicious sauce!!), and crab and cream cheese wontons. There are others too, but these are a few favorites that come to mind.

I love going to Blue Sky. I am somewhat of a regular and they know me by name. Their food is always good. They have lunch specials during the day and decent prices during the evening. The staff is always courteous and quick to get your order done in a timely fashion. I frankly havent had a bad experience with them and have been going for about 6 Years now. I highly recommend their sizzling fish dish and their chow mein its always great!

TAKING ADVANTAGE of us AND the PANDEMIC. I was once perhaps their biggest supporter. They closed during co-vid, but they STILL wont open their restaurant. They have a few small seats inside, but they bring everything to you with NO PLATES... its like carry out and you get to sit down. They are just being LAZY and or illogically FEARFUL of sickness. They bought the lie and are still living it... and making the most loyal of customers suffer for it. I can no longer support them and encourage you so shop elsewhere until they are ready to put the customers 1st again. If they dont open by this summer I am deleting my photos and advertising for them. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of views and advertising for them... and now they treat us like this. So sad. Prices 9-12 per item. Wait time short.we ordered black bean shrimp, Hong Kong style beef chow me in (fried noodles), and salt and pepper spare ribs. Food was good and the presentation was nice amounts were good. Our waitress was new and the condiments were sticky (soy sauce salt pepper) and the edges of table werent cleaned. This food will satisfy your craving, or at least its where I go to get my fix. The staff if friendly and the service was quick. I also heard them on the phone due to someone not getting something they had ordered and they immediately wanted to fix it. They offered them a meal comp for next time and to fix the problem now. I never leave a negative review, but you ruined my Mongolian beef by smothering it with onion. It overwhelmed the entire dish. Had to open windows to get rid of onion smell.I really dont understand . This is a great little restaurant in Carmichael. A lot of people order their food for pickup or through or through a food delivery service. I recommend the Hong Kong style noodles. The sauce is phenomenal. I have eaten the egg rolls and a chicken noodle dish. Both of which were all right. I would not order them again but the Hong Kong style noodles are fantastic.

We have been eating at Blue Sky for many years, we love Eva, she is wonderful, super great customer service and the food is fabulous. But I had a problem with the person at the front counter today. I went in to place a take out order for myself, my daughter and my 6 grandchildren. There was one person in front of me, and the man at the counter was on the phone with someone trying to place a take out order. He told that customer that they need to come in to place their order and hung up the phone. Then he seated the man in front of me. He came back to the counter but received another phone call on his way back. Another customer order. I was annoyed but waited. As soon as he was finished taking that phone order, he said just one minute to me and walked in the kitchen. The phone rang once again and he came back to the counter asking them what can he do for them. I looked at him and said are you kidding me, you are going to take another phone order when I am standing here? He knodded his head as if to say yes. I was boiling by this time and said, forget it, and I stormed out. I was getting into my truck as the man came out the door and said mam, just dont come here. I said, I certainly wont when you are working here. Dont worry, I will talk to Eva about it. I got to my daughters and called the restaurant. How he knew I was calling, I have no Idea, but after the phone rang about 30 times, Eva answered. I told her what happened, of course she was very apologetic. I told her he is going to ruin her business and I for one will never come back if he is working there. She said she will text me her private number and to call her when we want to come in and she will take care of us. Its really a shame, employees can make or break a business, depending on their attitude.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Sacramento.I live closer to the one on El Camino and truxel and I travel all the way to Fair oaks blue sky Chinese restaurant because it tastes way better and they give you a egg roll as an extra side instead of chips and the flavor its just 10 times better the service is a hundred times better just all-around better definitely recommend! Best location for the best Chinese food!

It was ok for a small mom & pop restaurant. Did not have the capacity to seat party of four or larger without moving and combing tables, had a large round table in the back of the restaurant, they use that table for their own use. Food was ok, portions were on the small side. Spicy items were not spicy, they use MSG and flavor was a little lacking. The beef and mixed vegetables looks and taste like the vegetables and tofu. Honey walnut chicken was over battered and lack the amount of walnuts. The service was on par. Would rather try another Chinese restaurant next time.

Horrible customer service! The Chinese lady that is there is rude and unfriendly! I called to get an order to go since I dont like to eat alone. Well my husband happen to be on his lunch brake and close by so I decided to get my order to eat there. When I got there I told the lady that I apology that we were going to eat there and al she did was roll her eyes and walk away. When my husband got there she just ignore us so we sat ourselves at a table. When she saw us sitting she came and said didnt you get an order to go out my order in the table and walked away. My mom and I love coming to Blue Sky. Its family owned and ran. Food is amazing, so is the service. Its small but thats part of the charm. Portions are ample. My mother and I order the Mandarin meal, it included soup, 2 entrees, eggrolls, cream cheese wontons, and rice. A favorite for dining in Carmichael. Seating is limited but worth the wait. Takeout orders are also available.

Hit or miss. Food was a little more authentic (as much as American Chinese cuisine can be) than typical deep fried massacre. However, the second time I visited, sweet and sour chicken tasted like it was a day or two old- batter was completely soggy and falling apart, and chicken was dry. I dont think Ill go there again.

Chow mein with beef tasted good. But not so many vegs in it comparing with others. The beef tasted better than those others instead. No soup included in chow mine unlike green jade. And the supervisor wasnt friendly or even smiling at all. The place didnt look clean at all too. The price was very reasonable though. 6.30 for beef chowmein. We ordered two beef chow mein one beer one cocke and it was 16.60 dollars. So i say good choice for getting a very fast chowmein with low price if u are not a picky person about manners and neatiness.

LOVE this place. Fresh, hot food, friendly service, good portions. Food is delicious. Its our favorite place for Chinese. We get the Mongolian beef, well done, extra caramelized. Oh yum! The lemon chicken is my favorite!! The spicy tofu and veggies is so yummy. Others favorites are kung pao shrimp, beef chow fun (extra beef), and pork fried rice. The stuffed wontons are super yummy too.

This place has good food normally, we dont eat in the Restraunt now because everytime we are there we see things that would make us not want to come back so we figure if they deliver we cant see the stuff that goes on lol the place needs a update, the kitchen is d i r t y. But the food is good and its better than the new rice bowl express across the way. And huge plus they deliver to our house since we are in the delivery range.

This consistently the most delicious Chinese cuisine in all of the Sacramento area. The Honey Walnut Prawns are amazing everytime, so its not a fluke, its everytime. I just enjoyed the General Chicken for the first time this evening 8/5/2017 and it was full of flavor obviously very fresh and so succulent! I could go on and on... But please try this little sleeping treasure of a restaurant in Carmicheal and may your experience s tgere always be as great as mine have been.Thank you to the owners, chef and anyone else who makes this spot a 110% plus for me.

This place is amazing besides the amazing food their prices and portions dont compare to any other chinese restaurant in Sacramento!!! No wonder they are first place chinese restaurant in the area told by Sacramento News Review!!! Also they do delivery for those lazy days to where you dont wanna drive and go out! They do get really busy so dont forget if they are running behind some days. Either way this place is awesome and the owner really cares about the food and the customers.

This place is amazing! ive been coming here for almost 3 years because i love it so much! its a wonderful price point when you want the lunch special and dinner isnt crazy expensive. its a lovely atmosphere with good music and the service is excellent and their food is top notch and consistent im not sure how authentic it is but i can tell you one thing you will not be disappointed. unless you need to go places that look all fancy then this place isnt for you but i say step out of your comfort zone and go check it out, other chinese places will charge you an arm and a leg and the food wont even be as good! i want to continue to support this restaurant as long as im here because i dont want it to ever go out of business and then well be STUCK with rice bowl across the street. now THAT food is disgusting. but seriously blue sky is amazing.

Been looking for a new Chinese restaurant since Hings closed. Food is delicious. I had cashew chicken, chicken chow mien, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, general chicken, szechuan chicken, szechuan beef, kung pao chicken and much more. Restaurant is small maybe 8 - 10 tables in all. But so worth the amazing food. Highly recommend
