2023-11-10 22:34:31The place has a clean and elegant appearance that makes you feel welcome the moment you step in. The food isnt just delicious, but its also presented beautifully on the plate. Theres a charming backyard area with green plants, adding to a more relaxing dining experience. They also have a cozy bar with a really friendly bartender. Overall, the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the service at the restaurant all leave a lasting impression. Im definitely going to visit again, looking forward to another great experience there. And the best part? Theres a large parking garage right next to the restaurant, so no worries about finding a spot.

2023-11-22 16:29:36The Blue Whale Restaurant and Lounge is a great spot in the neighborhood. The place looks modern and clean, and the patio has a relaxed vibe. Service is okay but the food, especially the XO thin noodles with duck, is tasty. The cherry blossom cocktail is a must-try!

2023-11-15 20:53:39WOW! What a beautifully designed space, serving Chef Boon’s take on modernised Asian cuisine, with a focus on his Malaysian heritage - street food such as Rojak (which sadly but understandably has its shrimpy flavour toned down), and Rice roll (made me miss my childhood) took on an elegant setting. The Malaysian red snapper was definitely the highlight, with all the spices and aromas you would associate with a roadside charcoal ‘ikan Bakar’ (literally means grilled fish). We also had their black pepper duck stuffed into pumpkin balls - my partner’s favourite! They also weren’t kidding when they put wasabi tiger prawns on the menu, because the flavour was straightforward and intense - in the best way!!Tea selection is pretty solid albeit tad bit pricey, but each pot can go through 2 rounds of steeping so it works out fine.Service still seems a bit shaky but it is a new restaurant so benefit of the doubt should be given :)The menu is also big enough to warrant a few more visits!! Already planning for the next one

2023-12-09 06:24:12Really sad that this place didn’t live up to my expectations. Appetizers started out good, but the main course was dry, bland, and without flavor. This place seriously disrespected the duck. To make matters worse, our server didn’t check on us once over the course of 1.5 hours. We ended up not getting one of the dishes we ordered and told the staff that we would just take the check. Will not return.

2023-10-28 21:27:43Wonderful cocktail and food with Malaysian influence. This is at the level of Mechlin one star. We enjoyed it more than Emperoresss boon or Hakassan, more delicately seasoned and contemporary. Loved duck salad, duck pumpkin puff, rajat salad, duck noodles, halibut and red snapper
