Over the top service. The food was delicious. Cant beat the atmosphere - right on the lake! They even brought out a Baked Alaska to the table because we were celebrating a birthday! Wonderful choice for our Sunday evening.

Breathtaking views and warm hospitality can be found at this lovely restaurant.Food was delicious. Rissoto was overcooked and overly milky, but the pesto for the pasta was excellent 💚The seafood, as well, was outstanding!

I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Visited with a couple of my friends and everyone of us really enjoyed our entree. The view was espectacular. Alejandra was friendly. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Definitely coming back.

Update: I bumped down the rating by 1 star because the quality of the food on a Monday night was not as great as the first time, however the service and view of the lake was excellent. The ambiance is always nice here! The service here is excellent and so is the ambiance. The restaurant is right on the lake so you get a great view but be careful when coming here during the middle of the day as it can get quite hot. I ordered the eggplant parmesan for lunch and it was a large portion, enough for almost 2 meals for me. It was delicious and had the right amount of breading and cheese but I wish it had a little more sauce. I would recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant serves very good Italian food, especially pasta and pizza. Our favorite include Chicken Parmigiana, Blackened Shrimp Pesto, and Beef Stroganoff. For dessert, we like their Baked Alaska (ice cream cake) and Tiramisu.

We dined with you this past Sat 11/04 at 2:30pm It’s always such a beautiful setting at your restaurant and overall we enjoyed the experience. I will pass along some feedback that my wife shared on the drive back home: she felt her Scallop Salad entree was way over dressed as was our Roasted Beet Salad appetizer. I would agree after she offered a taste. We’re not snobs or anything but we do believe in giving honest feedback if it might help improve your business. A little lighter on the dressing might help😊 Thanks !

My wife and I had our 4 year anniversary dinner here at Boccaccio’s yesterday (06-26-22) and it was one to remember. The food was really good and the service was amazing. I ordered the Salmon Piccata with capers and it was delicious with a side of grilled veggies. It came with tomatoes on it so I had them fix it because I have acid reflux and can’t have tomatoes and they remade it without any fuss or hesitation. My wife got the lobster ravioli and French onion soup which she said was also amazing and delicious. Overall, my experience was top notch here because of the food/service and the location is very beautiful sitting right on the lake of Westlake Village and the landing shopping center there. Side note: if it is above 90 degrees wear a dress or shorts because even with umbrellas it is hot sitting outside.

Service was not good. Main entrees took over 1½ hours long. When asked about the wait, our server, Juan, responded with, theres a large party, it will take much longer. Another server came by and informed us our food will be out in 3 minutes and will send the manager. 10 minutes later, no food or manager to speak to. There was a gentleman who we thought was another server, who was refilling our water, then walked away with nothing to say. When the food finally came, the person who refilled our water was the manager! He proceeded to apologize about the wait but not 10 minutes earlier when he first came over to our table. We were informed the food was being plated then will be out, but the food was cold. Great lake side view but food menu was overpriced. I can go somewhere else to get great service and better food for much less.

I’ve gone dozens of times to this restaurant, and it’s amazing! Great scenic views of the lake and mountains, a lot of outdoor seating, divine Italian food, a great place for a date or going out with the whole family. They have brunch specials in the weekends, complementary fresh bread and butter, and tasty drinks.

I had lunch here for first-time this past New Year Eve. The area is beautiful, free parking and the view is breath-taking. Service is great, food delicious and price is average, not too expensive. If you are looking for a good Italian food, this is the place to come.

Love this restaurant. We were celebrating a milestone birthday. Our server and wait staff were perfectly professional and attentive. The food was amazing as always. Great restaurant for celebrations. Ambiance galore. Wonderful dining experience.Everything was amazing EXCEPT the table of the four loud obnoxious women who seemed to take great pleasure in castigating the wait staff and our server for no reason. It appeared they brought several bottles of wine and a corkscrew to the restaurant and may have been inebriated prior to being seated and acted as if they were more important/entitled than any other patron/diner/customer. I just hope they called an Uber or Lyft because they could barely walk straight when they finally left.

I had high expectations coming here and they were definitely met. I LOVE the fact you get to eat outside and be right on the patio with a beautiful view of the lake. They have a great drink menu and always have wonderful daily specials. On my most recent visit they had a potato leek soup option, but I went with the French Onion instead. Even though it was over 100 degrees outside, I still got soup and it was delicious.They have a variety of items on the menu including steaks, pastas, salmons, and an entire vegetarian section as well.There is a lot of seating, but they do fill up fast so it is recommended you make a reservation which can be done on the website. They also host large groups and events if you give them plenty of notice.

Went for a nice holiday dinner with the girls. Haven’t been here for a couple of years and they have updated. Huge windows with views of the lake and nice muted ambiance.Good food - I had the scampi and it was good and had lots of scampi. Also the Ginger berry rumtini was quite interesting. Gingery and sweet.They also have an outdoor seating area which is nice for brunch. Nice staff too - Freddie was nice and attentive. Would have given 5* but dinner took a while to show up and the bathroom is outside from the restaurant.

Nice views but unfortunately the entire experience was awful. We had a luncheon with 20 people. We felt like we were not welcomed. They threatened and executed ridiculous fines that merely generated revenue for them, not for any cost recovery. To top it off, the food was not tasty and ridiculously over priced. There are other establishments that will treat you better and serve good food.

I had a reservation at 1pm on a Sunday and we came on time but we were told to wait as other customers came earlier than us (so whats the point of having a reservation) after about 20 mins we were seated but no choice but to sit inside with out the lake view otherwise we will have to wait further more. Our appetizer came after 40 mins and by that time the waitress already saw that Im unhappy so she sent the manager to at ease us by removing the appetizer from our bill and giving us free desserts. How nice it was by the mngr. but still it wasnt a good experience for a first timer like us. I ordered Linguini Pasta Suprimo and I think it was dry. My wifes steak was ok. We will still comeback and try the other dishes, the place is beautiful with the Lakeview.

The food was ok. I had chicken parm my wife had a salad my wifes mother had fish. They both really enjoyed their meals. I was very disappointed in mine. My chicken lacked seasoning. The sauce on the pasta that was the side dish was very tasty. However, the sauce on the chicken was tasteless.Despite the fact we had reservations and specifically asked for indoor seating. When we arrived they said they have no record of us asking for indoor seating and no room indoor because of a large party.Outdoor was warm despite being in the shade. The view is great. The biggest issue with being outside is all the birds. The birds were annoying and you needed to be aware they do not take something from you.

Went here to celebrate birthday. They honored my request by placing me at a table near the lake. Make a reservation. It was in october. Go by 5:00pm to see the sun set. I recommend the lamb very tasty and seasoned. It was busy because of covid. The only drawback was there is only one unisex bathroom with one stall. Price is good also for the location.

Hostess made it happen! Had reservations and we requested a water view table. We asked the hostess and she was working on it. The waiter came and quickly told us it wasn’t possible (while he didn’t know the hostess was already working on it). He was polite for the rest of the experience but we noticed he was hostile about it in the beginning. Other than that, food and atmosphere was great!

Quite unique setting on the lake - especially if you manage to get one of the tables outside in the front.The food is decent - burrata and seared tuna appetizers were tasty and well portioned. But not something to write home about, given the price.We had tasty and enjoyable entrees: sea bass (make sure to order the sauce on the side; it is quite flavorful already) and the duck.Highlight: good and well priced wine by the bottle.

Right on the water with stunning views.Ivan, our server was excellent.Husband got mixed seafood in a tomato broth and it had an abundance of seafood; he loved it!I got the shrimp scampi and enjoyed it. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The sauce was a bit bland.The table behind us got chicken parm which look delish!The highlight was the complimentary Baked Alaska for my birthday. The presentation w as awesome.Did you know that you can pull up your boat near the restaurant & the waiter will come to you. Wow!This place was packed with 40+ tables full and I tasted why.

What could be better than great company on a warm September evening than dining al fresco at Boccaccios.Our group of 5 had a great lakeside view at sunset. The menu was appealing and during COVID it was pretty crowded.Everyone enjoyed wine and cocktails from their exhaustive selection and our meals were delicious.I chose the Ahi Tuna, however it came encrusted with way to many sesame seeds for my taste. After an attempt to scrape and cut those off, my meal was tasty but I would not reorder or recommend it. The rest of the group enjoyed their meals, and at the end I had just enough room for a yummy creme Brule.If ever in the area again, I may revisit. However, Im not someone who cares for animals/birds at my feet during my dining experience.

Not great value-for-dollar at dinner. Not at all. Ive had lunch here numerous times and felt that was a much better value. They dont offer anything moderately priced on the dinner menu. My friend said her Pad Tai got cold too quickly and was very lackluster. The Bento Box was not a good value at all for $24, when 40% of it was a boring salad (see photo) and another section was 10 cents worth of Rice. The Mongolian Beef was COLD and server didnt bring the included miso soup... and 2 of the 5 spaces in the Bento Tray were left EMPTY. (See photo) again, for $24.00My Wedge Salad was good, however, but $13 for 1/4 of a head of iceberg and some bacon & tomatoe?Really?Um, NO.I felt ripped off.

I have never encountered such rude, sarcastic, unfriendly, erragant staff at a restaurant!!! Ever!!!!Granted we went there with no reservations on a Monday night.9/11/23 7 pm. They had a few lake side tables available. However the unfriendly hostess refused to sit us at o e of the lakeside tables. Those tables Sat empathy all night!!!Their veal Marsala and shrimp pasta salad, our food was good! The servers including the boss boy all had an attitude, were full of themselves and were sarcastic and rude when asked to take photos etc. My friends took me there for my birthday. If I wasnt a guest. I would have given them a piece of May mind then. Around 9 pm they clears some of the tables. Still there were 4 tables of 4-5 guests eating. They brought a tray of food for themselves and sat at a big table to eat. They were in face time with someone and were so loud and disrespectful to all the guests still eating at the restaurant. I do t think there was a restsurant manager on site. But the staff had no respect nor courteous for the guests still having dinner at the restaurant....

For this kind of restaurant, the service and the food could be much, much better. It was a pretty cool evening, and we had to ask for the hitter to be turned on several times. The person who was doing it was kind of annoyed, like he was doing us a big favor, and placed the hitter right in front of one of the guests and wasnt happy when we asked to move it to the back. After two minutes, the hitter was off. We were waiting for a while until someone came and tried to turn it on again. It was the same annoyed guy. He couldnt turn it on and left without a word. We were waiting for a while until our water showed up and let us know that they were bringing another hitter. Finally, the same annoyed guy brought another hitter and placed it again in front of the guest. The waiter didnt really know what he was doing either and didnt speak English very well. In the end, he brought us the wrong receipt, which was twice as much as what we should pay. He was nowhere to be found and we asked another man (waiter or manager) about it, he told us that waiters are lazy and dont make receipts for the split payments. And he couldnt also get us our receipts and assure us that we have nothing to worry about. So we didnt know how much we were charged. The appetizers were ok. I ordered Cioppino, seafood pasta. It tasted awful! Sause was like water with a bad taste. I barely touched it. Our friends ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, which they didnt like either. My husband ordered the rack of lamb, which was OK. The only good thing about this restaurant is the location by the lake.

We just had a baby shower luncheon for approximately 32 people. Morgan was our main point person for our event. Her and her team were amazing! They were so attentive and she was always making sure everyone was taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious! We’re actually going to book a family brunch once the weather gets a little warmer. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Go to Boccaccios and eat lunch by the LAKE! This is the perfectl outside dining place. Delish food, but its the atmosphere that makes it shine. While youre there, youll experience gentle breezes, sailboats on the lake, and youll even see ducks and geese hanging out on the nearby lawn. Boccaccios also have very close by curbside parking spaces. This is one of 3 side by side restaurants for you to enjoy. I LOVE it here! (plus great food)

Just be mindful if you reserve the closest table to the lake the sun could be too bright and the reflection from the water can be a bit bright. So be mindful when you go with your eldery so they could be comfy. Overall great atmosphere, great service. Plenty of parking on the parking lot.

We have lived in the area for seven years, but have never tried this restaurant. The setting is gorgeous! At night, on the lake, you could be anywhere in Europe. The food is spectacular! The portions are huge and quite delicious. My daughter and I had the tuna. It was cooked to perfection and more tuna than you could ever have imagined! my wife had a Pasta, which I cannot remember for now, but she said it was delicious, and also the fried calamari. She is very particular about her fried calamari and this was amongst, the best she’s ever had. The pear, goat cheese, arugula, salad was exquisite. The dressing, a thing of beauty. The restaurant was very busy, and the service was very pleasant. we are definitely going back.!!

Love this place. So beautiful, so elegant. The views of the island homes and lake are superb! Eating on the patio is wonderful but inside is beautiful as well with the cream colored high back chairs. Views take me back to Italy! The food is great but somewhat limited menu. My husband loves the Lobster Ravioli here, it is the best he has had anywhere! The only part of the visit that was okay were the drinks, thank God.As we ate our mediocre bland dinner, the manager and several staff were inside with us and must have forgotten we were there or maybe they just didnt care because they were going on about love lifes and not holding back on any details. The manager (male) was especially boisterous and completely unprofessional. I made some noise to give them the chance to maybe realize they had forgotten about the customers in the room, but that didnt phase them. We couldnt get the check fast enough.Weve lived in Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks since 1994 and have never had an exceptional meal at Boccaccios. After that night and considering what a great location their at, I can only hope the owners sell the restaurant or go out of business so a much better establishment can take its place. I just cant believe its been there all these years. What a waste of space.

We tried to make a reservation but the website indicated they don’t take reservations on Saturdays. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation. We mentioned the website said we couldn’t make a reservation. The hostess snipped at us and said they were full. We thought that meant we couldn’t get a seat. However, she started to walk away with menus-since we didn’t follow she gave us a terrible look then said we had we to follow her. We then said the website wasn’t clear but she continued to be extremely rude and sat us in a very uninviting table. We were also told that there was no inside seating yet when we went to the restroom the inside dining had folks (with empty tables). We continued to watch people without reservations get seated at much better tables. Food was very underwhelming and we didn’t feel welcomed. We will not be returning nor will we recommend this place. Bocaccio has a nice menu, serving a mix of Italian cuisine with Asian influences in several dishes. There is a focus on seafood and pasta, with surf and turf and vegetarian options available. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna (main)...sesame crusted with a soy based sauce over bok choy and mushrooms. The cioppino is another well prepared dish with plenty of seafood in a slightly spicy tomato and garlic base. Personally I am less enthused with the appetizers...though their salads are not bad. Desserts are all at a flat price and while perfectly ok, nothing is amazing. The service is excellent: it is easy to get hold of service if needed, but the staff are attentive and frequently stop by to refill water and check if everything is going well. Prices are expensive but reasonable for the food and service...expect to spend around $50 per person excluding alcohol.

We were very disappointed we ordered two Ahi Tuna dishes the meat was dry one just didnt have enough sauce in it we ordered two parmesan dishes the eggplant was not cooked enough and was bitter and I ordered a fillet I had to fight to cut it with a regular knife that never brought me a steak knife. Our water kept getting warm because the sun was hitting our table we asked for a nice bucket 45 minutes later the manager was able to provide one.Overall and horrible experience this would never have happened in the past I dont know whats going on this place is going bad Im not happy with the experience we have especially of my fathers celebration day.

(Under pressure, dont recall whether restaurant included sales tax in base amount (a trick) on which tip is based. Restaurant was not crowded, so no excuse for poorly prepared food. Also, food was salty and overseasoned. Ceasar salad was a joke. And flourless chocolate cake on NYE menu, but they did not have it. We should have complained about food but did not. Very disappointed and will alert our many friends who come here regularly that its no longer dependable. A very over-priced meal that left the invited couple wondering about my judgment, since I had talked them out of a superior Studio City restaurant with regular priced (NOT NYE fictional priced) menu; we could hae spent the same amount at an elegant, highly rated restaurant.

This restaurant has fell off over the years. The food quality has significantly decreased, the service is below standard, and there is no one there to look over the restaurant. I saw roaches running around and it absolutely disgusted me. I wish they would maintain this place better.

We’ve wanted to try this place for a long time.What a disappointment!!Some of the worst Italian food we’ve ever had.We started with Caesar salad which was just okay and very small.I ordered the blackened shrimp pesto. The shrimp was as tough as could be and did not taste like a pesto sauce. My husband ordered the Angel Hair Pomodoro. Zero flavor and seasoning.The only thing worth wild was the setting but not worth a return trip.

The location, view, and most food is 5 stars. The view at sunset cannot be beat. The burrata was the best thing we had all night and maybe the best burrata I’ve ever had!The service was a little slow but they were super busy. The waiter was very friendly but wine didn’t come out at right time to pair w food etc.My scallops were subpar which was disappointing because all the other dishes were so good! Scallops were chewy/hard and the pasta was too aldente without a good flavor.Recommend the veg ravioli or other menu item over scallops. Don’t miss the burrata

A beautiful restaurant to share a special occasion with the setting outlooking the lake. The servers are attentive, patient and friendly. The food was delicious, particularly the ziti. We were celebrating the beginning of our wedding weekend with our friends and our server brought us a beautiful Baked Alaska, which was so thoughtful and incredibly yummy! Only downside was we were a large group needing to split bills and they would only split it in five ways, which was a little inconvenient.

My chicken piccata was very good but my friends didnt think highly of the eggplant parmesan because the flavors were not distinctive and strong. The presentation was lacking; the portion was heaped on a too small dish. Service was good and the outdoor dining setting is very pleasant. I would come back.

I had my daughters bridal shower at BOCCACCIOS yesterday...I can not say enough about how wonderful it all turned out..the room was beautiful...the food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable...Ricky was our main attendant ..he was truly extraordinary...he worked so hard to make sure ALL my guests were happy. First time I dined in this elegant restaurant, I instantly fell in love with the food, service, and ambiance. We had an anniversary lunch back in May and it was fabulous. Today, Im having dinner with family and this place never fails to impress. Never thought I would find a place where I could have very good herb and garlic butter escargot. Last good one I had was in Florida. Im so happy I found a restaurant that can make it so perfectly.This will be my go-to place for very special occasions. Simply one of the best Italian restaurants around. Period.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER & RUINED BIRTHDAY!We went to celebrate my daughters birthday. We had reservations and were seated promptly at an outdoor table with a beautiful view, our drink and appetizer orders were taken within a reasonable amount of time. However, that is where anything good about our dining experience ends. Our waiter took our orders and then he NEVER came back to check on us. He never refilled our water or other beverages. Never checked to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. Twice we had to flag down other staff to ask for our waiter. Our food was presented within a reasonable amount of time, however our daughters filet mignon, which she ordered rare/medium rare, was overcooked to medium. We again had to flag down someone to get our waiter. He took her plate and said they would make it right. Mind you, she ordered her filet rare/medium rare which should only take about 3 minutes per side to cook properly. 25 minutes later her replacement plate arrived, and the filet was cooked to well done this time! Absolutely ridiculous! The waiter had her cut it in front of him and he didnt know what to do, so we asked for the manager. The manager, Julie I believe her name was, came over and we explained the situation to which she rolled her eyes and proceeded to argue with us about everything! She took the plate, said she would take care of it, and stormed off with a terrible attitude to us. After an additional thirty minutes of being ignored, I asked my husband to please find the manager and figure this out. By this point we just wanted to pay our bill and leave. My husband went to the area where the manager could be found, and she proceeded to argue with him and roll her eyes at him and basically refused to make things right. My husband asked if the owner was in to which Julie said he had just left, but that she had already spoken to him and that he also agreed with her that the filet was not overcooked. She continued to argue and have a bad attitude. My husband then asked for the bill, and Julie removed my daughters order from it. He asked her to please add the ruined dinner back to our bill, as this issue was not about the money but rather about principle, horrible service and customer service, and a ruined birthday dinner. We paid the bill and left, and we will never go back. Honestly, the food the rest of us had was decent, but to be treated so poorly by the manager is just abhorrent. We are not really picky people, we understand that everyone has an off day, but this was bordering on abuse. All my daughter wanted was her filet mignon cooked rare/medium rare (not medium, not medium well, not well done). None of us deserved to be treated with such disrespect.

The food was amazing. Its the service that bothered me. I ordered chicken marsala, but the server brought out veal marsala. They took the veal away and prepared the correct dish. However, my boyfriend was enjoying his veal parmigiana while I waited for my meal. That didnt bother me...I wanted him to enjoy his meal while it was still hot. What bothered me was the fact that the restaurant didnt even bother to offer us any sort of compensation for their mistake. Another thing that was strange was that we had several servers. I think our server was a male....but a female asked us if we wanted anything else so we ordered dessert...but then the male server comes by a few minutes later and asked if we wanted anything else....we told him we ordered dessert. It was a bit confusing.

This restaurant is not take out friendly. I approached the hostess and told her that the parking spots for take out were occupied with parked cars. She replied that they prefer that you walk-in because it is hard to figure out which car you are in. So I guess those designated parking spots mean nothing.She handed me the bag which had 3 boxes because I ordered food for two people and I did not see utensils. She said they were in the bottom of the bag. So I left and later discovered there were no utensils or napkins.Otherwise, the food was good, not great.

It was so beautiful because you can request grass seating so youre overlooking the Lake. They also have boats you can rent just a few businesses down the road.
