2023-09-05 14:41:43Excellent tasting - blackened halibut with seasonal veggies & rice. Just really flavorful too! Prices are decent here too. 8/21/23 update - had the seared trout plate. Definitely a satisfying dinner! 9/3/23 - Blackened Mahi plate. Another flavorful dish!

2023-06-23 20:32:40This is a great place to get seafood. The atmosphere is great, some tables have views of the ocean! The service is wonderfully friendly and helpful. I ordered the swordfish sandwich and loved it. (I took this picture after already eating half of it.) The best part is that the prices here are very reasonable for something so close to the beach!

2023-07-29 20:04:40Live nearby, the place is my go to choice if I want to have some REAL fresh and quality daily catch. It looks like a bar at first glance ;however, the chef is outstanding, the seafood always in high quality.

2023-12-02 21:31:17I visited during their happy hour and ordered a quesadilla and other items from the happy hour menu along with a drink. While the drinks were enjoyable, I was disappointed by the quality of the happy hour food.

2023-11-29 23:28:55Ill caveat my review with - had I made a reservation, I might have had a different experience. My wife and I wanted to grab an impromptu dinner last Saturday evening, so we stopped at the front door and placed our name on the list and were told that the wait was a reasonable 45-60 minutes, or we could wait for a spot to open at the bar which is open seating. There were a pair of high-top tables that were empty, so I asked if those were considered to be part of the bar and were told that they were reserved. No problem, we placed our name on the list, received the confirmation text with the link to Yelp to track our spot in line, and proceeded to visit a couple of nearby galleries while we waited. We returned to the restaurant when we were third in line and noticed that there were now three tables in the bar area that were open, but were told that we were still on the waiting list. While we were waiting however, another couple walked in and went to the bar, ordered drinks, and took them to one of the high-tops, where they proceeded to grab menus and order dinner. At about the same time, another party walked in and placed their name on the waiting list, after which one of them inquired about one of the empty tables and after some banter, they were given the table. Curious about the two parties that had come in and had been seated before us, I asked the hostess about what had happened, and she seemed surprised that someone had paid been paying attention. She then somewhat begrudgingly seated us at the remaining high-top. At that point, we should have just passed on the table, but we were hungry, so we ordered cocktails, the guacamole as an appetizer, and our entrees. The drinks were great, but the food was somewhat bland and the service was very slow and inattentive (which I excused as a residual of being in the bar area). Overall not a great experience.

2023-08-13 04:27:48They had a whole branzino and shrimp chile relleno for specials and we got both. The waiter mentioned that they were developing a new concept with their remodel and these plates would be on their new menu. Both were excellent!

2023-12-04 04:06:45We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. Luckily we arrived during happy hour and they had several options- food and drink- to choose from. We had their fried fish tacos, blackened fish tacos, hamachi crudo, street corn and flan for dessert- and it was all delicious! Service was great and our server Matt was very accommodating and helpful. If you like Mexican cuisine and youre in Laguna, dont pass this up. Highly recommend.

2023-04-17 22:14:19Best seafood restaurant in my life so far! Unplanned visit but the experience here was like a surprise gift; professional staffs, awesome atmosphere, modern design, excellent tastes, reasonable price.3 people with 5 dishes left 2 to-go boxes. What I ordered are followings:- Fish and chips (upgraded to Halibut with $6 option)- Seafood plate (with the first two choices of available fishes, sidedish as house salad and coleslaw)- Skirt steak (as medium, sidedish as house salad and seasonal vegetables)- Sailors pasta (with 2 pieces of jumbo shrimp)- Two draft beers (Lagunatics, Southwest sth)The total price was 115 dollars after the tax - and all were 5 star just right tastes as they are, and in proper temperature. The staffs were so kind when we asked about the menu or names of the food (as we ordered two beers but Lagunatics beer was our favorite), and theyd never bother us but willing to serve with pride. We were there at around 5 to 6 oclock, and the weather was so good to have sunshines on the table. (There are some places inside with no windows, too.) Their restrooms were modern, bright and clean.

2023-05-06 20:34:38The food is absolutely delicious! My husband and I went to have lunch and it far exceeded our expectations. I had the Laguna tacos and omg every bite was so savory. I’m from Texas but these are seriously the best tacos I have ever had! My husband had the seafood nachos and they were absolutely delicious as well! We couldn’t stop thinking about them on our way back home. This is our new by the beach spot!

2023-07-25 04:38:50In the picture is a full size bowl with shrimp that compared to lobsters. This is curry with Seabass, skirt steak and monster shrimp. The staff works really hard and is very accommodating which was a huge bonus after the horrible dining experience we had last night at the Hilton restaurant in Carlsbad.
