This place was wonderful. My family and I walked here for dinner, and when we walked in, it was only a few minutes until we got seated. The food was wonderful. My favorite was this crispy sweet and salty shrimp. The skin was so crispy, the glaze was perfecr, and this place is the best. I love it!

Our favorite spot for peking duck in SF. The crispy skin and thin wrappers are UNBEATABLE. We’ve tried several other spots and Boiling Beijing just knocks it out the park. Their other dishes are delicious too - love their dan dan noodles and shredded potatoes as well.

Best Peking Duck I’ve had outside of China hands down. Glassy skin served separately to be dipped in sugar, pancakes like tortillas for wraps as it should be. Duck also comes with the choice of either soup or stir fry for the bones and leftover parts, so be prepared for a large meal.

The Beijing duck here is AMAZING! We had lunch here and it was the most satisfying food I had recently. I’m so glad we tried this place. We had a small Beijing duck combo. First time I had purely the skin with sugar (which is one of the way they suggested to eat), so crispy! Loved it! And I also made the rolls with duck meat, cucumbers, green onions and sauces, they’re so delicious! Not mention the duck soup, absolutely yum! The small combo is a great portion for 2 people, we finished half of them and packed the rest for dinner.Highly highly recommend! If you’re interested in Beijing roasted duck this is the place in Bay Area. I’ve tried different places in South Bay, east bay, sf, this one is the best!Tips: we called them one day in advance to reserve a duck and make an appointment. Make sure call them first and enjoy your duck!

Came here with a reservation for 3 but was seated 10 minutes after our reservation time. They were packed here for a Wednesday night and many come here to do hotpot (will need to come back to try!) but we came to eat a traditional family-styled meal. I loved the flavors in the appetizer dish and had a kick of spice that I really enjoyed. The duck is amazing, a bit oily, but uniquely eaten with the flour-like tortillas and veggies. The fried chicken was also solid. The pork dish was a bit on the saltier end, but better eaten with rice. Soup is huge with yummy vermicelli with the rest of the duck we ordered (which you have to preorder by the way!). We took a lot of this home for another meal the next day. Service is a litttle chaotic since it’s a two or three people for the whole space, but the food is solid. Definitely want to come back to try their hotpot.

They have large ($79) and small ($59) duck options. We ordered the large ones and its good for 3-4 people. However maybe because the duck is too big, its a little undercooked and some portion of the meat is still raw.Nothing really stands out other than the duck.

One of the best Peking Ducks in town. Crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Wrapped by steamed wraps, Peking Sauce, scallion and cucumbers. It was just pure perfection. Every dish was done right. Staffs were super easygoing. My Beijing’er friends showed me this place as a hidden gem in San Francisco and I’m glad to have the honor of trying it tonight! Very orthodox, very authentic as though I’m physically in Beijing. Way to go!

Very authentic Chinese food! 松鼠桂鱼 is super good, one of the best in the bay area! The peking duck is also good, though a bit cold when we got it.This place is very popular, good to arrive before 6pm on weekends. Also, parking is not easy, may need to park a few blocks away.

Duck was ok, crispy skin but prefer the buns than pancakes; also they charge $6.95 extra to Cooke the duck bones. Also ordered the pork ribs bad bland and dry; the fish was as expected good flavor not greasy and good crunch. Order the mochi, red bean dessert but it came out the same time as the entrees, so was cold by the time had it and I had better.

This place has amazing food. My Chinese friend took me here and explain how the hotpot here is different from other types of Chinese hotpot. The pot itself already looks different. The soup is on the milder side yet flavorful. The lamb meat is very good. We got all other dishes as well. The duck is particularly my favorite. We got a big bill because we ordered like we dont know what hungry means lol. Anyway, it was joyful and I would love to visit there again.

Amazing service and delicious food. Ordered sweet and sour fish, black pepper garlic beef, combination chow mein, chicken fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. All of it was so good. Decor inside is really beautiful and all the staff was very nice.

I had a great experience at Boiling Beijing, a restaurant that specializes in authentic and unique Northern Chinese cuisine. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and flavorful. I ordered the fish fillet soup, which came with thin slices of pickled vegetables and cod fish. It was a feast for the eyes and the mouth. I also tried the Spicy Chicken Hot Pot Combo, which was a huge pot of spicy broth with chicken, vegetables, tofu, noodles and more. It was very satisfying and warming, especially on a cold day. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves spicy food and wants to try something different from the usual Chinese fare.

We went for peking duck and were pleasantly surprised by their other dishes as well.Pecking duck is to rage for, as expected.But their lamb soup, potato appetizer, stir fry chili lamb were all very delicious.We went for dinner on a weekday and it was still packed so beware. Parking is also quite difficult around the area but we were able to find one parking spot at a nearby lot.For pecking duck, you need to order at least 2 hrs in advance so make sure to give them a call before you go.

I had no idea that this restaurant is popular because when I walked past the place every week I assumed it caters to non Chinese or Cantonese who are usually not big on authentic Beijing food.However when I tried it for the first time with friends on the weekend I saw a decent line waiting while we were dining. Every table was occupied during lunch time.The food is definitely Beijing style as it has a lot of lamb dishes. The copper pot is kinda small compared to authentic food from Beijing and its decent. The lamb spine was pretty good although not superb.Interestingly what blew me away was the fried prawns. Its super delicious and even the shell was fried to perfection. I think its even better than Japanese tempura for other prawn/shrimp aficionado.

I have eaten Beijing duck in Beijing China. So I could tell the Beijing duck here is very traditional. The soup we ordered is very fresh and good as well. I think it is called 冬阴汤. highly recommend. The other dish with beef is good as well. 5 ⭐️

Best Beijing food in the Bay area. Im from Beijing and always miss Beijing duck. Tried ducks from other places but this one is the best so far, the flavor brought me back to beijing. The whole atmosphere in the restaurant also reminds me of Beijing a lot. Recommend it to my friends and will come back again.

We heard about this place because Mikey Chen visited this place once. We got the boiled fish with Sichuan peppercorns and dan dan noodles. Very flavorful! The fish was super spicy and tender. If you are looking for something mala (spicy and numbing) to eat, the fish is delicious. You can also drink the green broth that comes with it. Glad we got to check this place out!

I did not get peiking duck or hot pot as peiking duck requires then to call 1.5hr before your arrival. So I ordered all the other good stuffs.. fries chicken with red chilli, pork belly with jalapeno, boiled whole fish, Angus black pepper beef, dun dun noodles, spinach.. mostly disappointed.. Angus beef was good just like any other good steak would be in any corner store, does not take much to cook that.. the spinach was ok..but had corns which is weird.. typically corn is not most popular Chinese vegetables .. rest of the stuffs - not so much.. not going back all the way to San Bruno frok south San Jose - contrary to many some reviews I found this restaurant ordinary.. there are other choices out there, specifically if you are szechwan food lover and not obsessed with northern Chinese food..

Not the absolute best peking duck i ever had but it’s definitely authentic. The soft thin pitas was a welcomed change to most peking duck’s thick bread.We ordered 2 ducks to try the duck bone soup and the salt pepper duck bone. Located across the street from Artichoke Joe, parking can be challenging. For authentic Peking style duck, this place is a must try (pre-order only). You have the option of having the duck bone made into soup, porridge or salt and pepper. We opted for the salt and pepper but the porridge or soup wouldve been a better option. Another must try is their rendition of fried shrimp. The Hot and Sour Soup, we asked for mild, but shouldve let them serve as-is. Their Beef Cube was tender and tasteful. The noodles cold-style was different and takes a bit getting use to. They do have fried dough with red bean inside. It was tasty but bit too greasy for after dinner dessert.

My family and I visited for the first time on the first Friday evening of February 2023. My wife learned from her FB food group prior to our visit that you must pre-order your Peking duck before coming to the restaurant, so the duck and all the fixings, thin pancakes and vegetable strips to make wraps, soup made from the carcass, came quickly after we were seated. The waiter insisted that we scan the table-specific QR code on the lazy susan to access the menu to browse dishes and to order. Be warned; the app is in Chinese only, as far as we could figure out. The menu was not user-friendly, organized in unexpected categories on multiple windows. My wife, who reads and speaks Mandarin fluently, had to finally demand a waiter to take our order with paper and pen. The northern Chinese specialties that we ordered were delicious. I loved the tender steak cubes in a dark savory and sweet sauce over whole garlic cloves. And dishes we saw going to neighboring tables looked beautiful. Just try to insist on ordering with a waiter.

One of the best roasted duck in California. Top 1 in Bay Area! Must to try!Here is what I ordered: a small size of roasted duck ( serve for 2-3 person), the rest of the duck can be cooked as a soup( I think this is free). So in total it would be $65 in total. Reasonable and it definitely worth it.

This place has one of the best and most authentic Chinese food I’ve had. The servers are very helpful and friendly. The Beijing Roast Duck Combo was amazing, especially the soup. Horrible service! Called before hand in the afternoon to see if I can make a reservation. They said no, just come in early. Did not warn you that you have to reserve for the duck or practically anything on their menu that is their specialty. Drove an hour with my whole family to make it there right when they start dinner service. After sitting down, they said they we had to reserve the duck and other specialties! We got up and left. Had delivery from here, and it was very good. The lamb fried rice had nice cumin flavor. I also ordered the orange chicken, and without me asking they put the sauce on the side so the chicken would stay crispy, bonus points for that. Wow. We had a decent size group but the service was incredibly slow. They served one initial dish but then nothing for another hour. Then after, asking 3 times, food slowly started coming out. We ended up being there for over 3 hours in total, vast majority spent waiting. Save your money (and your time) and go some place else better, like k grill down the street. It was also uncomfortably warm.

In 2016, this was one of the best restaurants in my mind. But since then, they changed a lot. Quantity of food has been getting smaller and smaller. Previously, two dishes could feed two people well. But now we two can easily make $100+ orders but still feel hungry. Service also varies a lot depends on the owner is showing up at the restaurant or not. Food still tastes good in 2020, but now this place is so expensive to eat.

Felt rushed to order something cause staff said the chef leaves at 3p. I was there at about 2:40p. I didnt see a sign saying that they close in the middle of the day. Other locations post morning and evening hours so its easier to decide whether there is time to eat. Their menu may as well be a list of food, cause it gave no description of what was inside or served with. They had a lunch menu that was just as bad. Some items listed had an asterisk, Im going to assume they meant they were spicy since thats what Ive seen other restaurants use. Overall you need to have eaten at other chinese restaurants before going here. Ask if the chef is about to leave, you need to be there at least an hour before they leave if you want to enjoy your meal.

We like boiling Beijing. We like their noodles. The food can get spicy. Service is attentive and genuine. People create a good atmosphere. Place is clean but not modern. I saw a lot of shabu shabu. Definitely not expensive. It is conveniently close to the San Bruno Bart station.

The pickled vegetable and lamb soup was HUGE and delicious. The pork and cabbage was also good. The mapo tofu was ok. The cumin lamb didnt have much lamb, so not worth it. The fuchifeipian (beef and tendon appetizer?) didnt have much meat either. Chive pancake was also just ok, not very flavorful. We also had some kind of tofu skin wrap mince meat thing that I didnt really like.

I love love love chinese food. Its my #1 favorite cuisine ever.Going to this place made me realize how much I really love it. This place is specifically Beijing style dishes and traditional old fashioned chinese hot pot and definitely worth trying!This place gave me the feels. I felt so at home since it has that old school chinese restaurant vibe. I dont know if it was the carpet floors or the wall decorations but this place just reminded me of childhood. The restaurant is decently large with plenty of large tables to accommodate families of 5 or more. Right in the front table, you can see all the beautiful pots that are intricately designed used for hot pot. You dont get one of these pots if you order hot pot but its still cool to see how fancy they are.THANK GOD FOR PICTURE MENUS. Im a visual person so anytime there are pictures I am grateful. Almost all their signature dishes have pictures so you know what youre ordering. Their hot pot menu is separate from the menu book. There are so many dishes to choose from but we (my boyfriend and I) ultimately picked the lamb hot pot, sour cabbage and pork belly, beef pancake, and a side of rice.The food came decently fast so we didnt have to wait long :)Beef pancake: LAYERS. This pancake is layered with dough and beef. It was crispy, flavorful, and greasy deliciousness. I recommend dipping it in some chili and vinegar for added flavor but this was a great appetizer.Sour cabbage and Pork Belly: FAVORITE. This was easily my favorite dish. Cabbage never tasted soo good and it never hurts to add some pork belly ;) The flavor profile of this dish is amazing. Its got a hint of sour with the salty and savory works really well. It was to me the ultimate umami flavor. SO GOOD.Lamb Hotpot: they didnt have the lamb ribs... so we settled for the hot pot. This place is known for their lamb so cant go here without getting something lamb. The lamb was tender and sweet. The meat would just slide off the bone. And It really flavored the broth it was in.Overall, their dishes were spot on and would come back here all the time if I lived closer.

Worst service ever. They gave us the wrong dish, and we asked for a change. The waitress started to harass us ever since because the dish was in the pot when we realized.
