I visited on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch, and the place was surprisingly empty. One highlight of going there during lunchtime is the complimentary green/ black tea they offer.Normally, I go for the beef pot, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the milk cream curry pot. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, even though its appearance wasnt the most appealing. The sea salt cream in the broth really worked wonders.Service was efficient, and the staff was friendly. Street parking is widely available, and you might get lucky enough to find a spot right in front of Boiling Point.

Management needs to improve here!!! Its pretty ridiculous with the long line waiting outside and then with so many empty tables inside at the busiest time at noon. Although there are empty seats and tables set up, guests are still not asked to be seated. Had a candid conversation and asked the host and her explanation was that the kitchen cant handle this much..... Hm okay.... So I guess its better to have people standing and waiting starring at empty seats than letting people sit down.

Food was amazing, high quality ingredients at a great price. 20ish a person with drinks, and a serving size requiring a to go box is a great deal. Super clean inside, and the staff is great. They noticed our table wobbling and offered to move all our food to a different table. Highly recommend

Amazingly fast and friendly service. Although you do find yourself sitting with an empty glass from time to time. Just grab anyone. They are all very happy to help!The flavors were delicious and the food was popping hot. The garlic pork belly was really delicious but perhaps to much garlic and I mean barely. I’d order it and finish it again!Both broths were full of flavor but my brisket/beef fell way short compared to the original. The flavors coming out of that bowl were like ratatouille explaining the cheese and grapes combination to his brother. Just wow.

This place is BOMB!!! Flavors, portion, visual excitement. Only sad part is how tiny the place is ( and it was cold when we arrived). But food is just on point. The place was super busy, so not much service to comment on. And loved the people I arrived with so atmosphere is biased. But again tiny place, and you can tell they want to get you in and out quick. But the food comes out quick and it is a lot of it.

Boiling Point is simply the best hot pot in the LA area. I know what to expect when I eat here and I always leave satisfied. I got the Korean Bean Paste and my girlfriend got the Lamb. I wouldnt recommend the Lamb if you dont like gamey food, I wouldnt recommend the lamb but I personally like it. As you can tell form the picture, the Korean Bean Paste has A LOT of veggies. Its a good thing I also like veggies.

Idk why but I swear they make the food better at this location. Service was fast and friendly! They were quick with anything we asked for. They even offered to refill our soup twice, although we only needed it once it was nice. I usually only come here during lunch hours, Im not sure how dinner times are. My fav is the milk curry 😋

The Boiling Point here is far superior to the one in Rosemead. I highly recommend visiting this location. The flavors are completely different, and the service is notably faster. Just one little thing, customer service should be improved, more smiles when talking with customer. If you don’t want to wait for too long, come ealier in the morning before 10 mins of opening hour.

The food here was so delicious. This was my first hot pot experience. I ordered the beef soup with rice and it was everything I expected. Full of flavor and tasty ingredients. Beef, onions, tofu, fish cakes, spices, garlic...I will be coming back to try other selections. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine.

Hot pot is always amazing at Boiling Point. I love the Beef soup the most, but they’re all honestly pretty good. The sauces complement the hot pot well. Parking isn’t the best, and wait times can get pretty long... especially because this is a smaller store. However, the food makes up for it in the end.

Definitely one of my favorite go-to places for a hot bowl of soup 😋 I always get their beef bowl or their lamb bowl.I like this particular location because its very well-kept and clean with a hip vibe.For those who have never been, you just pick which bowl youd like, they would ask how spicy you would like it, and a choice of vermicelli noodles or rice.Their Hokkaido Milk Tea is also my all-favorite 😍 thats good considering the place is not entirely known for drinks/boba.Technically a 4.5 stars but docking it for a long wait time (not really their fault though) and ambiguous parking -- which I think you can behind the building...? But its kinda dark.

This place is a little small so get there quick but everything was really good, Ive been in Korea Town for the longest and I finally tried booking point and oh man Ive been missing out. Delicious hot pot😋 Most servers were friendly and attentive. Though, when we asked for side bowls, one server questioned why we wanted them and made an excuse that they were being washed. A couple minutes later, we saw some side bowls being delivered to another table; we never got any🙁 Also, the sauce containers at the table need to be checked more often to make sure that they are filled.

It was empty but we were helped 15+ minutes of us arriving, we were told to take a seat. They had alot of phone orders, they were bagging them and putting them on a rack. It was good but not the best flavor. Its fresh. I had a curry, but taste like watered down curry, soup curry. Never had that before, I guess each restaurant has their own style, and since it was my first time having this food, I guess it supposed to taste like that. Its not a place Im coming back to.

Good food, but the atmosphere/service is a bit lacking. I got the lamb pot, my gf got beef. Everything was nicely cooked and portion was worth the price. We were sat down at a small table inches away from another table, felt very cramped and In the way. Also had to literally wave napkins in the air like a flag just to get peoples attention for the check. It was a bit crowded so I understand maybe the staff were overly busy, but it certainly didnt feel welcoming. Id probably return due to the food, but not when it was so crowded that the servers ignore you.

This is such a great place for winter season feel good kind of meal. Every bowl hits the spot so there really is no wrong choice, just a matter of preference. Be sure to use the sauce to enhance the flavors of your meal. If and when your pot gets low in soup, just ask one of the servers to refill your pot for an added time extension. Any left can be put in a Togo container for midnight soup snacking. Totally recommend

I got the Taiwanese spicy pot. Soooo spicy. I will say the spiciness level is inconsistent; sometimes its fairly spicy and sometimes its melt-your-face spicy. Either way I like it. Service was pretty good and I went late so it wasnt very busy.

One of the safest options to eat at, but for some reason this location happened to have their ac on full blast at the coldest setting cuz it felt like walking into a cold storage room for poultry. What made the experience worse was we were seated right underneath one of the vents so our table and the surrounding tables were feeling very cold. I know because I overheard some of the customers around me express the same feeling with their friends. I had requested them to turn it down a few times but I think they just pretended to turn it down or just turn it down a little bit because the change felt unnoticeable as it was still blasting cold air throughout the night. When our food came out it got cold really quick so that made it difficult to enjoy our meal. I think the blast of cold air managed to even blow out the fire on my friend’s dish too. Pretty disappointed with that night. The only upside were the waitress and waiters who were fairly responsive when we called for them and made sure to give us refills on water or napkins when we needed any

The waiter told me the toilet wasnt working. I dont know what to do with my little kid. There was a tall young waiter with a bad attitude. They overcharged us for the meal. We asked him to fix it. He said we didnt understand what he was saying, thinking we didnt understand English, translating it into Chinese and saying we had poor understanding.

First I must say, my friend n I had not been here since before pandemic and service was alright then. Since then we returned back, food is ok, not as tasty as before, but service from the waiter after food was served was horrible. Trying to get attention from a waiter to ask for more soup bc the food had been boiling n we needed more soup broth or our food was going to burn. We were finally able to get the waiter attention and asked for more broth he was going to give more soup but in a quick second, turned around and said he couldnt do that. We tried to ask another waiter more like a busboy he walked by rudely said hed be back, didnt return back within a sufficient time our soup was gone. Then when he did come back to the table, he rudely kept saying are you done with this...Didnt even ask what we needed or how can I help you. My friend was trying to speak to him asking for more soup. He was Very RUDE n just ignored her request. Bad customer service and we will never come back! Just f.y.i. we did finally get more soup by another waiter, possibly may have been night shift mgr not sure, but our food was cold cuz we had to have the hot pot turned off bc the food may have burned🤨 A suggestion to the owner or whom does the hiring; Fire your rude waiters who have no customer service etiquette or teach them Customer Service 101.

Horrible service. I used to come here a lot and their service is getting WORSE and WORSE. They don’t follow the rules of first come first serve. They save table for group people even when your number is in front of them. Their waiter and waitress never respond to you, they all huddle in the back and chatting with each other, therefore you has to wave hands multiple times to get their attention. They are very disorganized, not sure how those people got hired at the first place.DONNT GO! NOT WORTH IT!

The soups taste good(unlimited refill for your soup when you dine in), multiple varieties including vegan option. Their drinks are not bad either. Service can be slow when crowded, but usually friendly. Lunch special include a regular green or black tea. However there is almost always a wait during meal hours. The dinner price has increased so much over the years though, I dont think its truly worth the price any more.

Good food, interesting type of spicy for hot pot, asked for mild, the soup tasted very spicy even for mild, for the average person who wants mild, would recommend to just ask for non spicy and add small amount of chili sauce / oil. When it is busy, restaurant feels very compacted, wondering if it has gone beyond maximum capacity.

Stinky Tofu hot pot? The only thing that STINKS here is the service!Very small, and not equipped to seat parties over 4. In fact, one 2-person table is just basically a half-booth facing the wall. I got to the bottom of my bowl and had to scrounge for cabbage pieces to eat since I was still hungry. They give you nearly enough protein compared to their spots. The beef in my bowl was actually really bad. It had a stringy texture that I couldn’t break down by chewing. I think it was because of the way they cut it. It was not tender and it stayed as a lump in my broth.Inside: somewhat small but they have big tables for groups. Freezing cold inside. Bring a jacket! This place also has one of the WORST SERVICE I have ever seen. The waiters and waitresses are rude, unfriendly, forgetful, and unhelpful. I went here during the weekday in the evening, so no lines or long waits. The smell reeked of stinky tofu (a good thing!) So I was pretty excited.I got the house special and my boyfriend got the lamb hot pot. The flaming spicy is perfect. Super hot but you can still eat the food without dying. The house special you could for sure taste the stinky tofu (not sure why everyone complains that you cant?) Its the stinkiest tofu Ive had in the San Gabriel Valley, so youll be pleased. Both hot pots tasted amazing. Thats really the only way to put it. Freaking delish. The broth is slightly sweet with lots of zest and flavor.The other hot pots do not have the stinky tofu.Our server was very nice. You do have to flag them down if you want more water but honestly, its not the pain everyone says it is. They are very prompt when you do ask and very polite.You get a complimentary dessert that is soooooo goood. Its a lemonade drink that looks like little tadpoles :P but theyre sweet and pop in your mouth when you eat them.

This is my go to BP. The Valley location is always busy and service can be hit or miss there but I like the Monterey Park location because it is small and it is easier to get the servers attention. I would advise anyone who cant handle spice to not even attempt the mild level, as its actually quite spicy. The portion is generous, and in addition to the included white rice, there are also glass noodles in the hotpot, so the carb content is really high! Its very satisfying to eat and leaves you feeling quite full.There is a free drink choice (black tea or green tea) during lunch, so I choose to eat during lunch every time!I used to order House Special, but today I want to say something different. I ordered Mild Beef. I suggest that people who don’t like spicy food don’t even try mild, it’s really quite spicy. The serving size is quite large. In addition to the complimentary rice, there are winter noodles in the hot pot, so the carbohydrate content is really high! It tastes super satisfying!
