2023-07-29 22:12:02First time checking this place out and let me tell you we were not disappointed. Not gonna lie but everything on the menu sounded so good that we ordered several different items to try out. Wings, pot stickers, udon noodles, bulgogi plate and chicken katsu (dont judge me😋 ). Now we like spicy, but man the spicy wings and pot stickers had a kick!!! Bulgogi plate was on point!! Super flavorful!!! You will not be disappointed!! Dont hesitate to try this place out!

2022-05-27 14:57:06Absolutely loved my first visit to Bonchon Fountain Valley! My bf and I were craving Korean fried chicken and happened to find Bonchon on Yelp. Theyre not too far from where we live and happen to be right across from the mile square park we visit often so we were familiar with the area.We ended up stopping by on a Friday evening to have dinner, upon arriving a gentleman greeted us right away and let us choose where we preferred to sit in the restaurant. He came by with their menus and got our drink orders right away. He also told us that when we were ready to order they have a call button located at the tables so theyd know to come by our table. Its a nice convenience to have so you dont feel pressured.Customer service was great! The gentleman waiting on us was very friendly and attentive. Whenever we pressed the call button he would come over right away. He was always quick to get something if needed also. They have such a big selection on their menu, its hard to choose just a few items to try! I already knew coming here that it would take a few visits to try everything that looked good. But for our first visit we got the following: Pork Buns, Small Half & Half Boneless Wings and the Bulgogi House Fried Rice! honestly I enjoyed almost everything. The only thing I will mention is that the wings were a bit dry and needed more sauce on them. Pork buns were probably my favorite out of everything. The pork was so juicy and delicious. The fried rice was also a nice pairing with the chicken. It was packed with flavor too.Overall I think my next visit I might try the bone-in wings. Maybe the boneless just isnt what theyre known for. They also have a bunch of other items I look forward to getting in the future. I will definitely be back!

2023-12-07 17:39:55Bonchon is a must try! The Fried Chicken (BBQ and Spicy) and Beef Bulgogi were amazing. The staff are friendly and accommodating They were really great both over the phone taking the order and in person, even when busy. They even call you once your takeout order is ready.

2023-10-17 20:26:16Ate there 10/16/2023.Recommend door alarm. Was the place busy? No. There was 1 already seated table and 1 table that came in after us. It took us walking up to counter to get noticed vs just walking in the door. We were seated and handed menus and plates. We had to ask for water. Food came out quick and fast and hot!!! Delicious!!But the service. Two employees. Both nose glued to phones. Then one was eating their meal and watching phone. Second one later too was eating their meal and on phone. So that uncomfortable feeling of I dont want to bother them while eating. But I should. But ... Had to interrupt to get refill of water. Had to interrupt to get bill. One table walked in and seated themselves and waited to be noticed... But eventually stood up and had to walk to counter to get their menu and such. The servers acted surprised to see them as they hadnt even noticed they walked into restaurant. They were very quick and attentive to food deliveries as they had to walk up to counter. Thus - food was great n fast and hot. But recommend as take out only to not interfere with phone time and their meal breaks.

2022-09-02 00:46:46Crispy chicken wings that satisfy flavor to texture the moment you bite into one. Can either dine in or take out when ordering from their pretty simple menu. This KFC (Korean fried chicken) spot is a must try and will definitely come again if I need a simple good mouth feel when I order. The sides and other dishes deliver as well but I know the tteokbokki could be spicier.

2022-04-15 22:07:48Medium (mixed 10 piece wings + 5pc drums) - pickled radish = $28.95TTEOKBOKKI - 12.95Bulgogi House Fried Rice - 13.95Bulgogi Korean Tacos - 12.95Total... about $75 for dinner with 3.I came here on a thursday evening.. about 7pm. To my surprise, there was only another group sitting in the restaurant. Its pretty small. Maybe it seats about 40-50 people. We ordered the above. Ive never tried tteokbokki.. but Id seen it on alot of Korean Dramas Ive been watching on netflix. So I thought Id give it a try.The fried chicken is beautiful. It tastes good to great. The spicy was abit too much for me (I guess on a scale of 1 mild and 10 hottest).. its probably a 4. Im weaksauce when it comes to hotness! Skin was crispy and tasty. I really liked the garlic sauce more. Again.. chicken was tasty and moist. This includes both wings and drumsticks.. they were moist. (Id had issues going to buffalo wild wings.. and even Vons where the wings were DRY). Bonchon delivered on moistness.Oh yea!... as for the Fried Rice and Tacos.I liked the tacos. Id try it a gain... sweet and tasty. As for the fried rice... it was not bad. Maybe for me.. (I like it salty).. it was a little bland and not as flavorful as I was expecting it.Services was really good (probably because there was only my group andanother family).By the time it was 8pm.. it got crowded and was maybe at 50% capacity. Finally the tteokbokki. I thought it was interesting. Alas, I think Im not a fish cake person.. the first ones were interesting.. but then after eating more and more.. I could pass.Price is abit pricey, but its a nice fusion type of place where I can get korean food as well as korean fried chicken. Again.. I would try the place again:1. didnt get to try the seasoned fries2. didnt get to try the glass noodlesI also like that they have their menu readily available online through their website. They also have a family meal.. at the window of their restaurant I read the price wrong. But the deal seems pretty decent.42.95 FAMILY MEAL XL12 wings (bone-in or boneless), 6 drums, choice of 2 double-portioned sides and choice of white rice or plain fried rice.

2021-09-19 21:59:58Some seriously delicious Korean fried chicken to be had here. The crispyness of the skin and the juicyness of the meat is almost unreal. Definitely want to check it out. The tacos with bulgogi were pretty perfect as well and so was the sesame tofu salad. The fries and potstickers were also really good.

2020-09-29 17:27:53Bonchon recently opened at the Fountain Valley location. Overall their outdoor seating was very nice and big. Their portions are accurate as described on menu. We order the 1/2 soy chicken and spicy chicken. The spicy was kinda too spicy to me, but I’m the worst at eating spicy food lol. Very friend staffs. Will come back.
