The food is so delicious here!! The fries were crunchy, the meat sweet and flavorful, and the sauce was good! The tacos are delicious too especially the spicy ones. At the end we had a donut for dessert and it was warm and sweet. Perfect to end our dinner. Our waiter was very amiable and attentive. He gave us suggestions and was very nice! Definitely will be returning.

Choose Korean fried chicken for dinner. Ordered fried chicken half & half. Half soy sauce and half spicy. Also ordered tteokbokki. Tteokbokki was spicy. Quality and the taste of the food was good. At the time of visit the store wasn’t busy and was able to get the sit right away. The quality of service was good. Didn’t had bad experience and would visit again.

I dont think this place needs another review because it gets busy! The food is incredible, the fried chicken and just everything. The staff are really nice. Parking can be an issue.Update:First, customer service is excellent. I spent a good amount $ on the 40pcs that come w 3 sides. People dont waste your money! Just order the chicken BUT NOT the combos w the sides! The size is a joke considering is supposed to feed at least 6 people. Im posting the pic here, the rice container was half full juat spread out in the container to appear full.

We went there for dinner. The place was full on a Tuesday night, but the wait wasnt long. Overall service was prompt and attentive. Food was great! We ordered the medium combo (wings and drums) half & half. I loved the soy garlic flavor; the spicy one was a bit too spicy for me. We also tried the zucchini fries and the bulgogi taco (forgot to take a pic of this!!). Everything was delicious! I had a soju, green grape flavor ~ oh so good!! If you have a good tolerance for alcohol, you gotta try it! Casual and relaxing ambience. Recommend for a casual night out.

I really like those chicken wings and chicken thighs. The flavor of the sauce on it makes it very good, and the crunchiness also adds flavor to it. I had a good time there. There was a bar inside that had drinks if you wanted it and the service I cant complain.

I drove a distance just for this Korean fried chicken. I first had it in Georgia. My newphew treated me and the family, and I loved it. The chicken is super crispy with a sweet spicy taste, and the rice is very good as well! Its worth the price!

Service was snappy and good. Food came out surprisingly fast. The portions of seasoned fries is huge! There isnt enough ketchup for all the fries. :(As always the fried chicken is delicious and the spicy has a little bit of heat to it. I ordered a lunch wing only combo and got some drums with it. Very odd, but Im not arguing. The wings and fries were a touch too salty this time, I found myself drinking lots and lots of water during and after my lunch.

I ordered the medium combo of 8 wings and 4 drums plus soy garlic dumplings. For the chicken pieces, I ordered soy garlic and spicy. My dad loved the spicy, I didnt it burned my mouth too much. It did have flavor though but the burn was too much. I ate all of the soy garlic it was soooo good! It tasted like the discontinued Asian BBQ wings from Yoshinoya. I want to come back and try the other flavors.

Just wow. Worth 1 hr of traveling. The chicken skin are super crispy. I have never eat chicken wing to the bone til tonight. 8 piece is perfect for 1 person. They are super busy but still got my wings fast. They also got bar style seat to eat and drink. Wish they have one in Rancho Cucamonga.2nd time, got more stuff.

I came here for lunch on Presidents Day and it was packed. There was a bit of a wait but the waiters were all really courteous and made sure I were served. They quickly responded to any additional requests or questions.We ordered the wings lunch special, seasoned fries, pickled radish, and pork buns.The fries were delicious with or without ketchup. The pork buns were full of flavor and tender, balanced out with cole slaw. The picked radish were cut in small cubes and had just the right amount of sourness. It paired really well with the wings. The wings were the most popular items so it came last. It was piping hot. We ordered the wings in half-half, half spicy and half non-spicey garlic soy. The skins were as crispy as Lays chips and flavorful. The spicy ones definitely had a nice kick to it. We ordered additional spicy mayo and it went really well with both the fries and chicken.Definitely a bit pricier than other Korean fried chicken, but I wouldnt mind a monthly visit.

Went there because our daughter likes fried chicken wings and we loved the korean fried chicken we ate at ktown. Not a good decision.Ordered fried drumsticks and wings. Both half and half. Flavor was ok but nothing special. Ordered the zucchini fries, the zucchini was so thinly sliced that you cant even see it or taste it, all breadings. The flavored fries was ok, my daughter liked it or maybe she was just very hungry because our orders took a while to come out. The beef bulgogi was mediocre too, first time to see mushrooms in bulgogi not crazy about it. Made it look like they are added to make it seem theres a lot of meat. Flavor is ok.Service is so, so. They took time to take our orders even if there was only 3 tables with customers (including ours) and also took time to serve our orders (orders came one at a time, after one order is finished, only then did the other order was served.). There was a guy who is really good in customer service (curly hair with stache) and made up for the lack of others.

Definitely some really good wings.I tried the Korean BBQ and Spicy. The BBQ wings are sweet and delicious, the spicy wings give you a subtle heat and then a kick before fading, really good flavor.Kimchi coleslaw had a nice heat but a little too much slaw sauce, I prefer my slaw not drown in sauce.Garlic Parm fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned well.The sides of dressing are overpriced and do not complement the wings well. I would skip those next time.Service was friendly and attentive.

I’ve been to two Korean fried chicken places in my life. First one was cheeks so I was kind of worried about this place but this turned out to be literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I loved how crispy the skin was. The soy garlic sauce was savory. Service was great, friendly people and super clean bathrooms. Will definitely come here again.

I ate a fair share of Korean fried chickens while living in Korea. The fried chicken offered by Bonchon is nowhere close to the street corner or fancy fried chicken restaurants that I have the pleasure in tasting. I ordered the garlic sauce drumstick/wing/tender special. I barely can taste the garlic. There is no sweetness to the sauce. The chicken, especially the tender, is beyond salty. Two large cups of water is not enough to quench my thirst and to reduce the saltiness. And unfortunately, chicken in the United states, while big and meaty, lacks the flavor. Two stars goes to the excellent service and the crispyness/texture you would expect from a Korean fried chicken place. 1/2 star more for the flavored fries. I like the fries so much more than the chicken. The fries are very delicious.

I got the fried rice with kimchi bacon, bolgogi and chicken... It was super good. The kimchi adding a tad bit of spice is complimented by the sweetness of the bolgogi beef and the tenderness of the chicken...The fries were also fried to a almost perfect consistency with the chicken strips half and half combo being the final dish ... Korean style fried chicken!! Fried with no batter so the skin is crispy and very flavorful. The Soy Garlic version is mildly spicy while the Spicy was ~ Spicy! The bibimbap was very good as well.** An important noteAs it clearly states in the menu that it can take up to 30 minutes for the chicken, therefore patience and time are needed.

My wife and I are huge fans of Korean fried chicken and we visit k-town frequently just for that. We found out about this chain restaurant and finally gotten a chance to try it out.There were about 5 2-seater tables along the sidewalk. They are there for you if you prefer to eat your food hot and no service will be provided. It was pretty easy to place an order at the window and our order came out in about 20min.We ordered 10 piece boneless chicken and Bull Dak. First of all, their boneless chicken pieces are huge and they were white meat. We were pretty much full after finishing it. My only feedback is that they could put more sauce when mixing them. Bull Dak is rice cake stirred fry with chicken in hot sauce (came with white rice on the side). Its very flavorful with a good amount of spicy, just how we like it. I only wish they can have a bit more rice cake and less rice.Overall, its a very solid fried chicken place. I would say its 4.5 out 5 stars.

Bonchon Chicken (Korean: ; Hanja: 本村) is a popular South Korean-based fried chicken restaurant. The word Bonchon is a Korean word meaning My Hometown. Its SGV location is located in a midsize plaza on W. Las Tunas Drive and S. Mission Dr. I was knackered after a long drive and craving for Korean chicken. Thus, Siri directed me to Bonchon. I arrived and was greeted by Jason, a young male host. I perused their takeout menu. And I opted for boneless 10 pc chicken strips with coleslaw. He said it will take 20 mins so I summoned Siri to set time. Long and behold my order was ready in 12 minutes so I was elated. I love my boneless chicken! And you will too, trust me. ;) lol. Its sweet crunchy on the outside and tender juicy white meat on the inside. Its like being touched for the very first time. Moreover, their Coleslaw taste good. Prices seem reasonable. Parking lot was full when arrive; I was lucky to get a spot. Overall, I had a great takeout order experience and I highly recommend this Bonchon location.

Bonchon is my favorite wing restaurant! Their wings are huge and juicy, unlike other wing places like Wingstop or B-Dubs. Theyre perfectly seasoned with a soy garlic glaze (also available in spicy) and theyre cooked in the korean way of double frying, which gives them a unique crispiness. The glaze isnt too heavy or too salty either.I usually order the medium combo to split with one other person. It comes with 10 wings & 5 drumsticks but theyre humongous! Like seriously, they might be using GMO chicken but I dont really care since theyre so good! The medium combo is definitely good enough for 2 people and comes out to $24 total. The fries are also great cause theyre thin and crispy. Regular fries are $4 and seasoned fries are $7.If you come on a Saturday, I recommend that you show up 15 minutes before opening (so at 11:15am). I managed to get the last available table and a huge line formed immediately after. I would estimate that the waiting time was an hour long after me.Parking can be hard because its in a small plaza with other restaurants, but there is free street parking.

The wings are good here. Has crunch with lite coating of flavors. Bull Dak was good and spicy but they just need to add more rice cakes and not serve rice with it. Literally only 4 pice of rice cake, a ton of chicken and a side of rice.Only downsides are parking and service. The parking lot is tiny and shared with a bunch of other eateries. Cant do much about parking. Service is almost non-existent unless youre sitting at the bar.

I really like the korean fried chicken of this place. Comparing it to the other korea fried chicken places I’ve tried such as Hot n Sweet in Arcadia, the texture and flavor stands out much more.Texture: very very crispy outside yet very very moist and soft inside.Flavor: if you get the wings, the marinade/ sauce penetrates the meat of the wings fairly well.I always get the half and half soy garlic and spicy. Although I enjoy spicy, I find their soy garlic much more flavorful.

Korean fried chicken wings and drumsticks. Kind of like an Asian version of Wing Stop but higher end. It kind of has a sport bar vibe. They have two large screen TV above the bar. You can sit at the bar, watch the game, have a beer and some wings. Only down side is it hard to find from the street. The restaurant is behind another building.

The fried chicken they serve is artery-clogging, flavourless, and only vaguely reminiscent of the authentic Korean chicken.It doesnt take much to get a cuisine right, and this place doesnt. I just got back home from picking up my food. I had to wait 10 minutes for my food to be done, so I assumed it would be hot. The fries are cold. Like theyve been out of the oil for over 20 minutes old. The chicken is coldish and hard. I got plain and spicy. The plain chicken tastes...like chicken. Theres no seasoning on the bird or in the batter. The spicy one looks like someone tipped a teaspoon of spicy sauce NEAR it. Its not at all spicy. Never tried Korean style fried chicken before, and Bonchon Chicken is excellent place that I am loving it. This place has good parking area, and we dont have to wait a long time which giving us to make decision for our dinner. Based on chicken wing and drumsticks, it is juicy and delicious especially in soy garlic style. Also, House Fried Rice, Seasonal fries is also good in my opinion. Based on service, staff is very friendly and having quick service too. I will definitely come back here for other food as well.

We drove from West Los Angeles to check out Bonchon in the San Gabriel area & it was well worth it!! Hands down the best chicken wings Ive tried EVER! We ordered several items from the menu & non disappointed. Portion sizes are generous. The atmosphere is was very laid back. The restaurant was spotless. Music was playing in the background & over sized TV’s in every direction. Thank you to the staff there as they were extremely polite & very attentive. Id highly recommend Bonchon to all those that are in search of good comfort food!!!

I love this restaurant. I thought I owed more money than I did and the guy was so nice about it. I am going to go once a month because I live in Woodland Hill but my son goes to USC for Chemo once a month. I am from the East coast and my brother told me about Bonchon because he visits the one in New Haven CT. Ao I promised my son we would go after every chemo appointment. It makes me feel like we are at home. The staff is amazing and the food ad well. The way they are handling this epidemic is great. I dont eat out because my sons immune system is low from the chemo but I will take him her to Bonchon I feel its safe for him to eat there. They are very clean.

Do NOT come here. ZERO STAR!! Me and my boyfriend arrived there 15 minutes before they were officially closed. They refused to serve us and sit us down because they claim that the kitchen was closed. I ordered 20 wings today half/half and most of the wings were hard to chew and a couple wings were too hard and dried up to eat. Disappointing service today that ruined the entire meal.Went in for lunch. Most of the staff were helpful.The food was good but a single moment ruined the entire day.Ordered a bulgogi dish, they charge $17 for a half plate of bulgogi with mushrooms and rice. Then ordered some lunch specials which were alright.My girlfriend asked for sauce to go with the chicken (something like spicy mayo to dip) and instead of politely offering sauce one of the staff ( an older lady) was extraordinarily rude to the both of us. She pointed at the chicken and then told us that they dont offer sauce to go. That it was on the menu (as if we cant read) and then went to the front to pick up a menu while yelling to her staff that they dont offer sauce to go. She then brought a menu and shoved it in my face and pointing at the policy where they dont provide sauce. We explained that we meant spicy mayo or something like that she very tersely said that we charge for that.Honestly, the food was alright but this was extraordinarily rude and uncalled for. She acted as if we were idiots and did not provide helpful/productive statements. Maybe she was having a bad day but she shouldnt put it out on the customers.

I absolutely love Bonchon Chicken, they might be a hair bit pricey for Korean fried chicken but it is very worth because the wings (which I usually get) are crispy, not crazy saucy, and delicious. They also come with a side of pickled radish. The only thing is that if you plan to order to go, it might take about 15 min so you can order ahead and pick up.

I think Im a fried chicken expert... Bon Chon had excellent flavor and pretty good texture. We also have the kimchi fried rice which I personally enjoyed but would say its pretty standard to most Korean restaurants. While I would love to give Bonchon a higher rating, I just cant. I enjoyed the food, but the service was atrocious.Dont get me wrong. I went there because of personal recommendations from friends to get the Korean fried chicken, and they werent wrong. I had one other place, and Bonchon blows it out of the water with their exterior and the chicken tenderness. However, the main thing that bothers me is the service provided to me at Bonchon.I went to Bonchon and ordered 3 items: 20 pieces of soy garlic wings, the seafood udon soup, and the bulgogi house special fried rice. Each of the items had something wrong with it.The fried chicken only had 19 pieces rather than the 20 I was promised. While I do realize this may not be a huge problem, I still would like the full amount that I ordered since I am paying the money for it. Aside from that, it was fine. However, we also ordered the soup and the fried rice. We waited about 10 minutes for the fried chicken -- which was good, but that was probably because everyone else already had their orders so it wasnt busy for the kitchen. When we finished the chicken, which was in about 20 minutes, the fried rice and the soup didnt come out yet. We waited about 5 more minutes before asking about it. When the waitress came out, she claimed that it was in the process of being made, but we could tell that they didnt even start on either of the orders.After about 7 minutes, the fried rice came out. To be honest, the fried rice was okay. There wasnt anything special about it since it is just fried rice but with bulgogi in it. In my opinion, it is a pretty standard dish. The only problem that we had was that it took such a long time since they forgot about our order. When we finished the fried rice, we waited another 4 minutes before they brought out the udon soup. When it was brought out, the server wondered whether it had seafood added into it and said they would check. We decided to not touch the soup since we thought that they would come back with a reply. After about 4 minutes of waiting, we decided to ask about one of the servers whether the udon had seafood. They came back and said that it did. I think that was a terrible customer service on their end since the server said they would check whether it had seafood or not. It wasnt until we asked about it that they confirmed for us rather than coming out and saying whether or not it did.In totality, the fried chicken was good while the udon and the fried rice werent anything special. The main caveat; however, was the horrendous customer service. I dont plan on going back just because I dont want to wait for a long time just to be served poorly.P.S. The time approximations were due to watching the basketball game and using the clock.

My first time at Bonchon chicken, and I was really impressed. I am a pretty big fan of Korean fried chicken, so it is not a light thing for me to say that Bonchon was one of the bests Ive had. Flavorwise, it tastes pretty similar to KyoChon, but the pieces are bigger, and the chicken more moist. The skin is perfect, very crispy and airy. At the San Gabriel location, I had two flavors, the spicy and the soy garlic, which were pretty awesome. The garlic fries were also pretty outstanding, which you should get with your fried chicken.So if you are in the San Gabriel area and are craving fried chicken, then Bonchon is the place to go. I havent had Tokyo Fried Chicken yet, but some say that Bonchon is actually better. Hopefully I will find out soon. He walks to me and says “I am sorry about that. Let me get your refund”.No attempt to genuinely apologize to me. And I dont make this statement lightly, because I saw it first hand from my mother, who tired their wings for the first time in the Philippines. I actually heard the name Bonchon at LAX after I picked up my mother. Those were one of her first words to me. At the time, I had no idea what she was talking about. But she spoke about their wings the same way a tourist would talk about seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, or the Pyramids in Egypt. Needless to say, I eventually tried their wings and it was really good. Like several notches above other wing places. Some facts about this chain. Bonchon means my hometown in Korean. In all of So Cal, there are only two locations (can you believe that?) compared to hundreds in the Philippines. They serve more than just chicken (yes they serve memories), but they also serve several traditional Korean dishes as well. And they have several beers on tap. But what makes their wings amazing are their unique flavors and the way they double fry their wings. Check this place out. And expect to see a crowd. But its worth it.
