One of me and my wife’s favorite tacos spot. We live 3 1/2 hours away but when we go to Cambria, CA that’s where we always try and go. Try because sometimes we get there to late. Check their hours. Always fresh tacos. There al pastor with pineapple is our favorite. They have a (Trompo) vertical rotating spit. Sometimes there is a wait but they get to you fast. The wait for your food is usually under 15 mins. This is on weekends when I feel they are the busiest. Even my son likes their tortillas.It is a destination. It is small place where they make the food but it is delicious. They have a few tables to outside to eat.
Great place! Grew up in socal and Ive been to Mexico and this is by far the best around. Highly recommend the al pastor.

Called in my order so, I thought I was not going to wait long. I got there waited in line, paid for my order and it took as long as if I just order at the window. The people in front of me got their food before I did. I had to remind them about my order. They do have great food.
We were starving after being on the road for several hours, Google search for food led us to this place and it did not disappoint! Food was fantastic and the service even better. Worth a stop if in Cambria.

This is the breakfast we get to go when traveling through the area. Some of the best Mexican food around, I always get a breakfast burrito with potatoes and chorizo and a mini taco with al pastor in it. You can not pass up the Al pastor if your ordering, one day Im just going to order all of the meat and eat it while walking through main Street that might make the antique shops more bearable.

First off, I think I’ve maybe left 5 reviews in my life. This place is fire! Stumbled onto it on a whim. We got an al pastor burrito and a couple tacos and everything was 10/10. We live 20 min from the border in San Diego and are inundated with amazing Mexican food, so we’re no strangers to the real thing, but if you’re even just passing through Cambria, do yourself a favor and stop here… even if you’re not hungry.
Incredible $2 mini tacos, $3 gorditas, and Mexican coke. What else could you ask for? Skip the standard Mexican restaurant fare down the block and check out the authentic street food at this wonderful food truck on main street in Cambria. Perfect for lunch when you dont want a whole plate of beans, rice, etc. Limited outdoor seating only.
Great mexican restaurant with lots of variety. I have never had a rice and beans burrito with pineapple, but it is very tasty!! We eat here a few times a month.

Great food, reasonable prices, cooked hot and fresh as you watch and wait. During off season their truck is set up downtown only on the weekends, so dont miss your chance! I had the chicken taquitos and they were perfect. Tasty, crunchy, with the insides soft and moist. Their rice is also really flavorful. Yum!

Wow! We stopped in the town just for the food truck. And we are happy we did! If you can, go there and get the burrito Al pastor. But take a big one - you will love it so much, medium wouldnt be enough! Oh but be careful, the address here is wrong. Its a good truck right on main Street. We drive to the shack first but there was a sign telling us where to go!

Carne asada burrito is my go-to. The red salsa is delicious and spicy . Also the flan is delicious. Everything here is good you wont be disappointed.
Drove out to Cambria just to try Bonis, as a recommendation. Heard about their taco truck. Definitely worth it! Ate the solid Super Burrito on the beach and enjoyed every bite.
Bonis Tacos is located in Cambria, Ca. Its located midway on Main St. and has the most authentic mexican food!!!! From tacos of Asada, Al pastor (original....shaved from a rotating skewer) chicken (when available), to tortas, burritos etc. You will surely enjoy what you choose to eat!!!

Absolute MOAB burrito. From the first bite of my al pastor burrito to the last I was smiling. Theyve done it right and damn well. If I ever come back to this part of Cali Ill have Bonis Tacos for lunch again.

My only recommendation to the owner is that the sauce is not in ice trays because the weather there is usually very cold, and with the cold sauce the taco cools down very quickly, the pastor is very delicious, but the tacos are a little salty, the meat If they added avocado sauce they would be much better, from then on they were delicious😊😉

2023-07-24 23:21:28So tasty! We stopped by today after Hearst castle. The pastor and pollo tacos were so good. The tortillas are made fresh right there and everything is so flavourful. The guys were so accommodating even though they were just about to close. To boot, they even threw in flan for us. We will definitely be going back again.*7/24/23 update* So tasty and delicious. We love stopping by here after going to Hearrst castle. This is my third trip here and it wont be my last. I ordered the carne and pastor tacos. So good!

2022-10-14 03:46:00Was told about this place so on my morning walk I dropped in and purchased a couple burritos, carne asada andal pastor. There already was a crowd, so took a little while to get my order. When I got home my wife and I savored these burritos. They were delicious, believe me I have had burritos all over including Mexico. These are the bomb, next time I will try something else, a great place for Mexican food, prices are reasonable.

Ive never been a fan because theyre always hit and miss in other places but these are THE BEST Ive ever had. Well worth the visit.I ate my food too fast to take a picture but my tummy will always remember. Absolutely recommend them.

2020-11-29 01:44:36The pastor burrito is great! Pastor is definitely their specialty. The tacos al pastor are also really good. I would only add more pineapple to them. Then I also tried the chicken taco and it’s good, it is seasoned with chipotle. Carne asada and Chile verde tacos were ok. I ordered them to go and ate them at the beach. The prices are fair too, so I definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for tacos and you want something affordable.
