1st time! Great friendly patient staff! Food came out hot! Everything was fresh and delicious! I tried the breakfast burrito #2 add tofu Scramble! I am not vegan!! I thought I didnt like tofu!! The tacos were good I heard and the nordo?(🌵) has a good spicy salsa on it!

This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants. Everything Ive tried here is very delicious. The tacos on Tuesday are $1, so I try 5 different ones and they are all delish! Some are very spicy, ask if you dont eat hot foods. The Quesabirria is so yummy too! Their iced coffee is very flavorful and so is the cucumber lemonade and horchata. I highly recommend this place, even if you arent vegan. Ive brought a few different people here who are not vegan and they really liked the food also.

A homie told me about this place, and while Im not vegan or vegetarian, the idea of a fire Mexican spot without meat was too intriguing. I was stunned by how good everything was, from the friendly service to the agua frescas to the food to the authentically latino and cool young people vibe they got goin. The burritos are incredible, the birria was shockingly good as was the nopales and potato. Was mad impressed, say enough good about this place!

Unbelievably delicious. I was shocked at the level of taste. And it wasnt just “good for vegan it was legit GOOD, by any standard. I had the Cactus and potato taco, mushroom and spinach enchilada with green sauce, a cabbage taco, a breakfast taco special with yuca, and cauliflower ceviche. Unreal.

With so many great vegan and vegetarian options available at Borreguitas, youll hardly miss the meat.The bean, potato, and soy chorizo burrito with dairy cheese (in place of the vegan cheese) was on point. The nopal with potatoes also rocked. The vegan Al Pastor taco was good, but a little on the sweet side. The cucumber lime chia agua fresca was refreshing, but the sip of cafe de la olla I tried tasted more like cinnamon tea than coffee. Still good though.Prices are fair, the place was clean, and the staff was uber friendly.Im neither vegan nor vegetarian, but the food here will have me coming back — especially for another bean, potato, and soy chorizo burrito. Soooo tasty.

Tacos are definitely a must try.Taco Tuesday deal is $1 tacos- for vegan tacos!Now, I know people are skeptical about vegan food but these tacos follow such traditional Mexican recipes that you can genuinely not taste the difference at all.Try something new such as their all new breakfast tacos or stick to a classic wet burrito. Either way, you will not be disappointed.Located in Pomona, very close to the downtown area. This place is great for lunch, breakfast AND dinner.

The last time we came here they were located next door and are now in a huge beautiful location. They are right off the 60/71, not far from the 10 fwy. Clean environment, personable employees, and great tasting fresh food at a fair price.I was able to ask for the guacamole w/o onions and everything was just perfect. What a great way to spend the afternoon with my family.The ambiance was upscale, plants everywhere and very ventilated which encouraged us to dine in.We’ll make this drive more often, thank you.

¡Que delicioso! The food here is on-par with what Ive seen on reviews and heard from others. Laid-back atmosphere that feels like a traditional Mexican place, while having some youthful freshness that appeals to many generations. The dishes are seasoned with care, better than many tacos with meat Ive had before. My recommendation: los tacos con ensalada de nopales, tengo ganas de regresar especialmente por esos tacos. Give this place a chance, the servers are also very eager with their service.

First time here thought it was a birrieria but when walking in and ordering we had a surprise. All vegan. Gave it a try and fell in love with their onion curtido. The guacamole is amazing. The tostadas are stupid fire! Couldnt even tell if it was real meat in my vegan tacos. They have the friendliest most kind and alert staff. Wife and I highly recommend it.

I have lived in California for 15 years and this is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have ever tried. The food is beyond incredible and the employees are extremely kind and take pride in providing the best tasting food to their customers. It is rare to find authentic Mexican restaurants that refrain from using lard or chicken stock in their vegetarian dishes but at Borreguitas, everything can be made vegan. If you want to visit a homey, authentic, vegan, and women owned small business, this is the place to visit!

This is the best vegan Mexican food that I have been to so far!Update: the restaurant is open for dine in. Its been remodeled and its beautiful!with the most amazing service.I have been here many times, but didnt remember to do a review. Why? My mind was all crazy about the food and finishing them. You feel so satisfied when you finished the food that you forgot to do anything else! And of course, I forgot to take the pictures. Other peoples pictures are pretty accurate. The rice and bean picture you see is the leftover that Im saving for dinner! 😁😁Food, the wet burritos are huge. Street tacos are good. The cactus plate is good. If you dont eat a lot, potato tacos plate is good enough. This place has pretty good beans and rice.The refried bean is amazing.I would not recommend the posole. I personally would not recommend the vegan cheese because it has chemical taste to it just like other vegan products on the market.For the service, Jackie and I believe two others are awesome! They are always cheerful, welcoming, and helpful! 😁😁I believed I met the mother once when she was taking care of a homeless around the corner of the street! She is a kind person. ❤️I havent been slimmed down since not eating meat because theres so much yummy food to discover and this is one of the places!Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone who doesnt eat meat to satisfy the craving for Mexican food. Found this place doing a google search for vegetarian food for my wife while in the Pomona area. Im not a vegetarian but man is this place delicious!!!!. It taste soo good that I am willing to drive out from Riverside for lunch on the weekends. So far everything I have ordered has been 5 stars good. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place for lunch or dinner. The staff is super friendly and food is outstanding. Portions are generous and you will not leave hungry. Beans and Rice are great!!!

Omg this is a dynamite spot. If you want good Mexican food and for it to be vegan?.. Then, this is that spot. I ordered a vegan wet burrito with steak protein inside. The spice of the red sauce is so yummy, it gave me the itis. My daughter ordered the tosada and she said it was so good, we also ordered Horchata and Jamaica.. Absolutely fantatsic!!

This is a place where everything is veggie, but omnivores will be satisfied too. The wet burrito was giant, and delicious with potatoes, rice, and a protein of your choice inside. The guacamole 🥑 is worth the trip by itself.Staff is friendly and eager to help you figure out what to order their recommendations were perfect.This is definitely a place well revisit next time were in the area.

Im not vegan, but my daughter is. Took her here for her bday. Food was really good and not expensive at all for a vegan restaurant. If youre vegan and want tacos, taco Tuesday is the day you wanna go on.Only complaint is that the door was kept open, and I got destroyed by mosquitoes.

The food was ok nothing special, the meat choice was good had a little sweetness to it. The burrito was huge But there wasn’t much rice and beans that came with the tacos. Their standards went down they don’t serve your food on a an actual plate. The seasonal Ague Fresca was not too sweet and had a perfect natural taste to it. There was Flys in the restaurant too but thats how you know it’s authentic.

They have added new items to the menu😋IYKYWhere to begin....This little family own restaurant has some of the best agua fresca & street tacos in SGV.I use to go to another closer restaurant but since trying to Borreguitas several months ago it has become my go to for agua fresca and street tacos.I have never liked the taste of nopales but the nopales potato and jalapeno street taco is 💣it goes perfectly with agua is Jamaica and guyaba.Big plus the family is kind, courteous and sweet.If you know... You know deliciousness 😋You know that the food is when people are using their boot as tables outside. The wet papa soyrizo was lit! The only thing the burrito was missing was pickled onions.

Had the wet carne asada burrito, a spicy grilled eggplant burrito, papas and soy chorizo taco, and the hibiscus guava drink. The cashier was very helpful and understanding when taking our order. It was our first time there and we had no idea what to get. She told us to try the spicy grilled eggplant which we got in a burrito. The spice was just right for me but some might find it a bit too spicy. Loved the potatoes that were in it. They still held their crisp even though they were in a burrito with everything else. The potato and soy chorizo taco was very delicious, would have been even better with lime or salsa as is it was still great. They do 99cent taco Tuesdays so looking forward to coming here and trying all their tacos. The hibiscus guava drink was very refreshing. They also had a cucumber lemonade which sounded strange to me but I think it would be good just like everything else weve had here so far. If youre considering this place try it for sure!

I can’t describe how good this burrito I had was. I went in for breakfast and really want to go back for happy hour/lunch/dinner because the whole place has an awesome vibe and would be a great place to have beer and conversation (as an accompaniment to flawless vegan food that won’t seem “vegany” to omnivores—it’s awesome normal/not lab created food that happens to be vegan). This is a review during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I can see why everyone is giving this place great reviews. From the moment you order till you eat the food, it has been a great experience. Glad me and my family were able to find this Vegan Mexican Food place! Now I don’t have to drive all the way to Baldwin Park!I first called to see if they were open, and the lady that picked up was super friendly. She also gave suggestions on what are the most popular dishes.FoodI wanted to try so much! Ended up ordering these:Wet Burrito with Al Pastor- very good with the red sauce they have. Not spicy.Loaded Nachos with Half Pastor and Half Asada- the chips that they have seemed freshly made. This was so good, I just wished there was a bit more chips inside!Asada And Al Pastor Street Tacos- these two were great, but I would recommend the Al Pastor, as they taste very similar to real Al Pastor with the pineapple.When you arrive, since there is no dine in, they have a side door where you will be able to pick up your order. Keep note that they do take credit card and Apple Pay, but they will need to take the card or device inside to a register, so I decided to just use my card instead of giving my phone. They also take $1 charge for credit card transactions, just so you know. You can park off the street right close to the window.Like I mentioned earlier all the food was delicious. I can now add my rating to the reviews and recommend this place for Vegan Mexican Food. They did say they had 5 different types of street tacos, including cactus, and chorizo and potatoes, will give it a try next time. One last thing to note is that they have Uber Eats in case anyone wants food delivered. I have a feeling I will visit again very soon. Until then!

The food was delicious, the burrito sizes are huge. Don’t ask for spicy sauce if you can’t handle spicy, I did and even tho I eat spicy it was way too spicy! But the taste was really good. Definitely will be coming back if we are around.

If you are craving authentic, vegan, budget friendly Mexican food, GO HERE! The food is absolutely amazing. I have tried their fries, nachos, enchiladas, and vegetarian tostaditas. I absolutely loved them all, my favorites being the enchiladas and tostaditas. The workers are always so sweet, and they really make cleanliness a priority. I also tried the torta-had plenty of vegan meat-definitely filled me up. I actually saved it for dinner since I was full after having the tacos. My sister got the nachos-I had a couple bites-very good with the potato option. She enjoyed it and she isn’t a vegetarian. We also had the banana shake and horchata to wash it all down. My coworker and I go here quite often now!! Wonderful vegan mexican restaurant! I love the vegan/gluten free casadilla with spinach and mushroom, omg fantastic! But my go-to is the asada style burrito with vegan cheese instead of rice. I love their beans and their a la diabla sauce is soooooo good. I would recommend ordering by phone for pick up to avoid any wait. They are popular for a reason! Incredibly nice staff, always friendly, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Where has Borreguitas been all of my life?This place is amazing. The staff is so friendly and family owned. I love that they are more on the authentic Mexican food side rather than the americanized mexican food.Their tacos are so delicious, and its all vegan! Oh, and Tuesdays they offer $1 taco Tuesday!!! Both the carne asada and al pastor tacos were incredible. There is a taller woman with short hair, and she seems to be either the owner or manager, but I want to say thank you to her. This is the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel comfortable. The women who helped me today was so kind and patient while my girls and I decided what to order and the food was absolutely phenomenal!! We had chiliquilles, nachos and a burrito. I have driven by this place multiple times, but one day a friend took me here. As a non-vegetarian this place has such amazing food. The food was delicious and filling. First time visiting this place and loved it! I visited on a Tuesday for their 99 cent street taco special. I had the al pastor and carne asada. Very flavorful and filling. The best place around for vegan Mexican food. Oh my gosh the flavor is incredible. Their salsa Verde really had me eating hardy. I ordered the chilaquiles and their breakfast quesadilla. My wife ordered a burrito and their noplaes. Everything was packed with flavor and care. Vegan Mexican food is pretty hard to find and this is truly a gem in the community.

Ive been vegetarian for 10 years, and finding a good vegetarian/vegan spot is challenging. I moved to Pomona about 2 years ago and was so lucky to find this gem a few miles from me! Perfect restaurant for people who are gluten free and have celiac. My mom was diagnosed and thought she couldnt have all her favorites Mexican foods that she grew up eating and making. Thankfully she found this place now whenever she wants to treat herself we go here. We found out that the owner is also Celiac and my mom felt very confident and secure in her food would not be cross-contaminated. They also offer Soy meats. The food is great and made with love and care. The aguas frescas are very rich in flavor and refreshing, made directly in store. My favorite is the limon con peppino. And the servers are great, theyre willing to explain and you can tell they KNOW their food because they have all the answers. They have great patience, understanding, and great service, the food is just a bonus to the great environment. Defiantly recommend 100/10 family owned restaurant.

I wanted to give them 6 stars, but unfortunately I took a star off because they use styrofoam (for to-go boxes) and disposable containers for dining in.Im from Claremont, but live in Oregon. My whole life (before and after going vegan 6y ago), I did not think I liked Mexican food until I ate here. The first time I ate here 1yr ago, I returned the next day because it was so good. Lets be real-- if you know about Borreguitas but havent tried it yet, what are you doing?? This place is the best. I live down the street from a couple different vegan spots in Upland but I’d much rather take the drive to Borreguitas for their prices and customer service. They were crispy on the outside, and the potatoes on the inside were great. I really loved the pickled onions and salsa that came on the side. I also had a wet burrito with the papas con chorizo. It was huge! The green sauce was fabulous! To wash it down, I enjoyed a hibiscus and guava agua fresca. It was incredibly refreshing.They are currently remodeling inside. This place is so yummy.We got three burrito types, all their taco types, and a torta.The flavors burst, the salsas are perfect, the nopales are clean and not all slimy, and I cannot pick a favorite item because I love them all. Great tasting food! As a non vegan / vegetarian, I’m always skeptical how meat substitutes will taste, but the vegan Asada was excellent. I had a hearty wet burrito, and the flavor and sauces were fuego. ¡que sabor! I will be back

Their tacos are some amazing veg tacos.On the real, everything else is pretty ok/good, feel like for being a Mexican restaurant many of the food is missing flavor. Sometimes mostly salt.But the owners and workers are the best and I love them and the tacos.

Bomb tacos. good price. i recommend the burrito extra meat, they can be a little skinny sometimes. love the salsa, my favorite is the green just the right amount of heat and sour.just tried the banana desert and it was so good.

They have great friend and friendly staff its a family ran business. Ive been coming here since theyve opened but the last three times Ive gone for taco Tuesday I found weird things in my food (plastic and something that felt like a bone). I tried to get past it to support a small business but it was too gross and happened too often to ignore.

The vegan loaded nachos with asada is amazing. The service is friendly and the aqua frescas are cold, refreshing and delicious. Definitely A+++ food. Cant go wrong with any of the tacos or burritos either. Yummmm.

If 0 stars was an option they would have earned it. We were there for an hour it took 45 minutes to get 6 street tacos and nachos that were soggy, smelled weird, and had no flavor. The service was HORRIBLE I had to ask for a drink, had to walk up to get my own check and ask for a refill. We had to stop 3 different waiters to get what we needed. If you dont want to waste your TIME and MONEY go to Just Vegana down the road. A round of applause to the first place that ruined vegetables congrats Borreguita!👏👏

Randomly discovered this place by seeing groups of people who clearly were not from that neighborhood waiting in line lol. I slowed down and realized it was a vegan Mexican food spot. I gave it a shot and it did not disappoint! My girlfriend loves the carne asada tacos and I love the al pastor tacos. I plan on trying the rest of the menu eventually. Great prices and great quality ! (Im a big meat eater very far from vegan but Im open minded - give it a shot it wont disappoint)

Great Vagan Authentic Mexican Restaurant... I live in Rancho Cucamonga and its definitely worth the drive. I had the al pastor & cactus w/potatoes street tacos, it was very flavorful and tasty.... along with a asada burrito. Sorry forgot to take pictures.... that’s how delicious it was. Will continue to visit and try the entire menu.

My new fav place! Borreguitas is an amazing vegan/vegetarian restaurant. I have a big appetite and 3 street tacos ( $1.25 each) fill me up. Love their sope too! If you are planning on doing take out, please call first. small venue and it is majestic. They should have more locations.

Omg.. Best tacos EVER! We have tried the chicken, carne asada, and pastor tacos. They are all delicious but the carne asada and pastor tacos are our favorites. The service is fast, and more importantly the food is delicious. Good vegan Mexican food is hard to come by, but Borreguitas nails it. The texture of the fake meat is very similar to real meat. I recommend their tacos on ataco Tuesdays. Their ceviche is one of my favorites, especially on a hot summer day. Not only is the food vegan, but drinks like horchata as well. You can eat in or order to go. Its convenient when you have a short lunch because you can place phone orders, and as I said earlier, the service is fast.

We have come to Borreguitas several times since the first time that we found it. Everytime we come we are always happy. We have tried both types of breakfast burritos, the breakfast quesadilla, the al pastor burrito and tacos, and the asada taco. Everything is vegan and delicious. Oh yes make sure to get their jimica! The most fire authentic vegan / vegetarian Mexican food, makes my heart n soul content. growing up vegetarian in a Mexican household left me out of a lot of home cooked Mexican soul food, this spot fills that void hahah. the best !!!!
