The place is super, nice atmosphere and the food is amazing. We seat at the sushi bar which is the best since you can interact with the chef. Service is terribly slow. We arrived and we were literally blocked at the entrance of the restaurant. The place deserves five/four stars I was about to give 3 for the only two waitresses there that are not enough, but the sushi is high quality so 4 ✨🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Great red snapper and some wonderful fresh options makes this place you could return to on a regular basis. This place sees a crowd but the wait staff is on it so this is a nice option for sushi in the neighborhood

The food is absolutely delicious. Has been a favorite of mine for years but if you dine inside, the spot lighting might beam you right in the face so choose your table wisely. Maybe someday they will change to lower wattage bulbs. But delivery is great! 👌🏽

Im from the OC & was visiting the area with my girls. Came across this gem & was not disappointed. Some of the best sushi Ive ever had. It just melted in my mouth. Will be coming back for sure.

By far, without a doubt, hands down the best sushi. Tom is absolutely incredible with bringing out the best flavors for all the different types of fish. He’s creative and his skills with texture and flavor are unsurpassed. His staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Must try!

Quick service but sushi doesn’t taste good. They also put check in the middle which made me feel disrespected. If I’m at a restaurant with a guy you should give check to the guy, as a woman I feel very disrespected. Not coming back.

Ive been following the chef/owner, Tom, fo a number of years now. Since before he opened up Boss.There is no questioning of the quality of the fish he brings in for the restaurant. His creative dishes exhibit the many global influences hes been exposed to and shine through without use of the dark & sweet teriyaki sauce.His fusion style is true to the word while still maintaining a sense & style to his Japanese roots.

This is one of the best sushi joins in LA. They have an amazing selection of all types of rolls, and their specialty rolls are delicious. Its priced moderately, but the food is well worth it. The service is incredibly friendly, and they remember you when you return. One of my favorite places in LA!

Long wait to be seated (as well as the few parties who arrived ahead AND after myself and my friend) and a bit of a wait for service. When finally seated and when the service started, it was attentive and on time. Everything we ordered very quickly came out and was very very delicious. So, the service at Boss sushi, once it it starts is as good as the service of restaurants twice as expensive as Boss sushi which is quite affordable.

From the moment you come to that restaurant the waiters give you an enjoyable feeling. Very comfortable hosts, it is a nice place to enjoy with friends or with your date. tasty cooking, professional chef de cuisine, good price and generous service. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a nice, decently priced sushi restaurant to go to. If youre looking for that as well...DO NOT GO HERE! I looked up the Yelp review and it was rated 4 stars with 2 dollar signs so I decided to give it a try.So we walk in and the hostess points at the table we should sit at. Once were all seated a waiter comes and tells us that its reserved and we must move.Then, it takes a good five minutes until someone hands us menus.It takes another 5 minutes for the waiter to even approach us.I open the menu and see RIDICULOUS prices. $16 for a roll with shrimp, barely any crunch, and basically no sauce. Every other roll was at least $16-$22. Also, 4 pieces of spicy tuna rice cake is..get this..$20. Okay no.So we receive our rolls. We ordered the I love Tracy roll and me and my boyfriend both agreed it tasted odd. I wanted some extra eel sauce and as if paying $20 for an overrated roll wasnt enough, they wanted to charge us for sauce also.I am now sitting at my table writing this and NOT ONCE has the waiter came up to us asking if were doing okay. And not to mention that theyre not even busy.Ive been to countless sushi restaurants and never have I had this worse of an experience.Please save yourself the time and money and go to McDonalds.

Its not easy to find parking around it. The restaurant has its own parking lot, but its small and packed. All streets around it are mostly permitted, so the best place to park is 1-2 blocks south on La Cienega.Sushi are good in terms of freshness of the fish, but theres no OMG moment. Some of the rolls were very pretentious and looked really good, but failed to deliver on taste.Pricewise, its not too bad and on average it comes to $50-60 per person without alcohol, but there are plenty of other places that are much tastier and a bit cheaper, but I guess the location dictates the price.Restaurant decor was a bit strange - some parts of it were tastefully done, the rest felt like a cheap cantina. Maybe it was the lighting, maybe something else, but there wasnt much of a flow.Not coming back there.

Creative rolls are excellent and full of flavor. I love The Japanese, The Nate Blondes, Second Love, King Ken, and more! And I love their veggie miso soup. This place taught me to LOVE sushi. It sets the bar high for any other sushi restaurant! This is one of my and my boyfriends favorite meals!

I stumbled upon these reviews yesterday while looking up the number for Boss so I could make a reservation. My entire family was in town for Moms 85th birthday and my niece (who traveled from Suriname) upon getting off of the plane announced she had two must do items while here. Boss was the first one. I had to laugh at one review that said it was passable sushi. Let me just start by saying that if you are looking for that strip mall, all you can eat sushi bar, this is not for you. If however you are looking a unique, fine dining sushi experience, come on down. I have yet to bring a newbie to Boss and not have them call me the next day to lament how are we ever going to eat sushi anywhere else after Boss The unique composition of their rolls and the accompanying sauces, citrus, chili etc make this the most exquisite sushi experience you will have. The quality goes without saying. We never even use the wasabi and soy sauce provided since each item has its own flavor that needs no enhancement. Essence of Leah, Fire de Koz and the four way chefs choice are some of the must try items. When you make your reservation, asked to be seated in Nicks section if possible. He, without a doubt makes the dinning experience unforgettable. His knowledge of the menu and his ability to guide you through it (with just a few pertinent questions about your likes and preferences) is amazing. He makes dining at Boss a special experience. This is truly a five star dining establishment.

Was meeting one of my friends for dinner, what a big mistake going to this place! My breaking point is when they pull out a can of tuna to put in my blue crab roll...In what world does blue crab come in a can...
