This is a great family run pizza restaurant everyone is super friendly and you can tell they really care about doing everything the right way. They are using all fresh ingredients and cooking each pizza to perfection. I had a slice of the pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs it was so good definitely a must try. The stromboli looked amazing. The garlic knots, the meatballs, every pizza I saw come out looked great.

My boyfriend and I recently took a short trip to Laguna Beach and this pizza was one of the highlights of our trip. We ordered a plain (cheese) pie and it was perfect. True NY style thin crust and just the right ratio of sauce to cheese. I especially like the cheese blend used, a bit different from other places and absolutely delicious. It even reheated well in the microwave of our hotel room! 😄 We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Wow. This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time trying Brooklyn City Pizzeria. The first thing I want to say is… why haven’t we tried it sooner?!I’m actually enjoying some pepperoni leftovers as I’m writing this review.I believe this is a family run business. It was sweet to hear the cashier call another woman working behind the counter “mom”.Everyone was friendly. The prices are very fair especially for the enormous size of their delicious pizza.Speaking of delicious.. this is some of the tastiest pizza I’ve ever tried.Thank you Brooklyn City Pizza for your kindness and delicious food!- Happily Satisfied, Megan and Gabriel :)

Heres a bold statement. I think this is the best place for New York style pizza in all of OC. My wife and I drove about 40 minutes to Brooklyn City, and although the drive sucks, it was well worth it once we took a bite of the pizza. Weve tried many different pizzas here, but I think my personal highlights are vodka and speziata. I dont know what kind of ricotta they are using, but its absolutely incredible. The owners and the staff are also super nice and hospitable. Great pizza and amazing service.I highly recommend Brooklyn City Pizzeria. If youre a pizza lover, this should be a must-try on your pizza list.

This is the real deal. Best cheese pizza. Spaghetti and Meatballs were to die for. The Italian sausage was top-notch. They use fresh, quantity ingredients, large portions, and great prices. I give them a 10 out of 10. I am going to be a regular.

Unlike other NY named restaurants, this place earns the moniker. Pizza is exceptional for OC/LA. Crust is thin and perfect balance of crispy with a nice chew. Perfect flavor. We dine here regularly missing Manhattan life, for treat night. A must try. Just order early as it is often very busy. Staff is always cheery and helpful…okay so maybe that part not so authentic ;)

I am from New York and moved to California. I have to say I don’t even miss New York pizza because of Brooklyn City Market! This is hands down the best pizza in SoCal. I don’t even waste my time or calories ANYWHERE else! Authentic and the real New York slice a true east coaster will love! Do not waste your calories eating any other pizza. Everything is homemade, Gus the pizza man is a true connoisseur and rolls every dough by hand with love. everything is homemade from the garlic knots to the sauce and more. This is the real thing! Get the spezziata !!!!!

First off the store is very well taken care of and the service was incredible! We got the Stromboli, Meatlovers Pizza, and Caesar Salad. It was all amazing and so well prepared. This is the gold star of restaurant due to them making all parts of the meal in house with fresh ingredients. We will be back!

Love the food, but be careful with pre-ordering using Uber Eats or other apps. They canceled my pre-order made earlier in the day because Brooklyn City Pizzeria shuts off internet ordering when they get busy per their employee who answered the phone. I called at 5:00PM on Sunday to find out what happened.

This is a second review. While I still like the place I would recommend to not bother with the eggplant parmigiana. Actually, it was more like spaghetti and eggplant parmigiana rather than eggplant parmigiana with a side of spaghetti.Im pretty disappointed since eggplant is fairly inexpensive but they were very stingy with the eggplant and loaded up with the spaghetti. It should have been there other way around.I hate when a restaurant tries to make it look like you are getting a lot by putting a lot of pasta in place of the actual entree.Stay away from the eggplant parmigiana. Not worth it. Flavor wise, it was acceptable but not good enough to make up for the stingy portion size. If I wanted to order spaghetti, I would have. The worst part about this is that I am a diabetic so, I ordered the eggplant instead of a pasta dish but they have way more pasta than the eggplant.Stick with the pizza and baked ziti.---------------------This is the real deal! Finally, great NY pizza. Im so excited. I just tried some slices and they were great.You can tell this is real NY pizza because they sliced the sausage instead of crumbling the sausage like all of the fake NY pizza places in CA.They also have Sicilian pizza which nobody around here has. Thats what Ill be trying next.

My parents are from Queens so we are always on the search for great pizza. On a recommendation we decided to try out Brooklyn City Pizzeria last week and were not disappointed! The pizza was fantastic and one of the closet New York style pizzas weve ever had out in Southern California. We ordered the classic cheese and the speziata and both were absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is very small so keep in mind you may have to wait for a table to sit or better for takeout if you live nearby. The service was great - they cleaned a table for us right away and the pizza was served in a timely manner & was fresh & hot. We will be back to try other items soon!

I absolutely love this place. I’ve spent most of my life in New York and Philly - where good pizza is abundant. After moving here, I’ve recognized that having great pizza is a delicacy. Brooklyn City is the absolute best pizza I’ve had on the West Coast (and I’ve tried almost everywhere). Best pizza in Cali we have tried yet, and it’s not even close. Wife and I moved out here from Philly where we lived our whole lives. So, we have had some of the best pizza from Philly and NY, and when we came out here we wanted to make sure we found THE spot. After many attempts, we found it! Hands down best Pizza in Laguna Niguel. The Sicilian pizza is phenomenal, crispy undercarriage and chewy and the cheese and pepperoni meet all expectations. The classic pie is the perfect cheese pizza. Again, perfect undercarriage, crispy and yet chewy and the sauce, cheese are exactly what I want in a classic NY slice. The crust isn’t too thin and holds up well.

If youre in the OC and want pizza, this is it. I chose the gold standard of NY style pizzas to test the quality... plain cheese pizza. This place knocked it out of the park. The crust was fresh/hand tossed and perfectly cooked with a nice flop. The cheese was just the right amount and the sauce was amazing. It would do well in NYC. Id put Brooklyn City on the same tier as Mulberry Street pizza in Beverly Hills. Theyre the two best Ive had on the west coast. Please dont ever change a thing because you guys have something special here.

As a native NYer, I can confidently say there is NO better pizza anywhere in the entire state of California. Brooklyn City Pizza would compete well in Brooklyn- their local competitors have no chance. Its only a matter of time until this becomes the only pizza for sale in South OC. THIS is what pizza is supposed to be.I have tried both their Regular and Sicilian slices/pies. Both are 10 out of 10.The dough is delicious. The sauce is perfect. The cheese is so fresh and consistent. The pizza is prepared and cooked to the perfect minute. The crust is both crunchy and soft, with just the right amount of charring.If you are ordering from anywhere else, you are not eating pizza.

As an East coast transplant, this is THE BEST PIZZA Ive ever had in South OC, and California in general really.Their pizzas are 1 size (I believe large) and I think theyre priced very fairly.We ordered a chopped salad as well and the portion we got was MASSIVE for only $8.50.I cant recommend Brooklyn City Market enough! I moved from NYC to Newport Beach a few years ago. One of the things I had missed the most was NYC pizza.I stumbled across Brooklyn City Pizza on Instagram. My friend who is also a transplant from NYC, we decided to try it when they first opened. Lucky for Laguna Niguel residents - we now have 2 of the best kept secret restaurants in the same plaza. Brooklyn Pizza opened recently in the same plaza at Taste of Greece- the best Greek food in California. The pizza is REAL New York pizza which is the what pizza should be! They also fresh salads packed with ingredients (NOT a few a things on top of a bed of boring lettuce) with a yummy house lemon vinaigrette! It is a small place you can miss it driving by but do not judge this book by its cover. I dont know how they make such light and scrumptious pizza dough- All I can say is WELCOME to the neighborhood and thank you for opening your Pizza Place in Laguna Niguel!!

Honestly blown away. I’ve been hearing about this place for a while now and we FINALLY ordered tonight. We got a meatball pizza and added spinach. We also got the chopped salad. All take-out. I had to call. They weren’t accepting online orders at the time. I almost bailed. I would have really regretted all my life choices. This will be entering our regular rotation. There’s nothing close to this place in terms of consistency and quality that I’ve found in south OC.As the other NYers have pointed out, this place delivers the taste of home. Service is exceptionally friendly (which is very different from most NY pizzerias 😂).
