Fun and tasty dinner. There an option to grill the food yourself but we choose to order in. Toppings and goodies to add in the soups. Good flavor. Would recommend and go again

This barbecue restaurant is a true hidden gem! The service was incredibly prompt, and the staffs passion for their craft shone through. The food was good. However, it was really pricey compared to other Korean BBQ restaurants. You have the choice of cooking your own food or ordering pre made dishes. We chose to cook our food and ordered the steak and chicken for $27 and $37. The seasoned meat was good but there werent any sauce options. I rate this place 7/10. We left half full and ended up eating again 2 hours later.

The food portion was huge. We order combo tofu soup and bulgogi combo and the portion was enough for 2 people. The banchan was good, the amount of the banchan was little. The soup was really tasty and not too salty like some other places. The waitress kept checking on us and refilling our water. We were there around 3:30pm, the restaurant was spacious, not too busy at that time.

The food was delicious. We got bulgogi, short rib soup, and beef chapchae. However, it is definitely on the pricey side.The server I had to interact with was not pleasant. I understand they need to confirm your identity when picking up, and I agree, but she was insulting, annoyed, and even said my name was weird, as if I was trying to steal when I had my receipt and matching ID.

Dissappointing service, dissappointing food. Ive never left a Yelp review before, but felt that the service and food from Han Dae Gam warranted leaving my first review.Service (Pickup):We placed an order for 3 bimbimbap, 1 beef soon tofu, and 1 hae mul soon tofu for pickup. When we arrived, we saw the food sitting on a ledge, with no one at the register to ring us up. We looked around the mostly empty restaurant, and saw two waitresses, both chatting with tables (one was showing a table pictures from her phone). They both noticed we were waiting in the front area, but neither came over to help us. After 10+ minutes of standing there waiting, my aunt tried to catch the attention of one of the servers when she walked by. She sharply told my aunt to wait, and proceeded to return to chat with her table. After another 5 minutes, my aunt tried again, and was told again to wait. Finally, she came back and took my card. 5 minutes later, she came back with a handful of receipts and said just sign and left us. After looking at the reciepts, I realized she had handed me three different sets of receipts. Conveniently, she didnt mention that the merchant copies had checkboxes for precalculated tip, only to sign at the bottom (Another reviewer mentions that their tip was changed by the restaurant).Food:When we got home, we unpacked the food and noticed that while two of the bimbimbaps had kimchi & pickled radish, the third one (which had been packaged in a different bag) did not. All three eggs that came with the bimbimbaps were undercooked, with translucent whites. The soon tofus were even more disappointing. The beef soon tofu was swimming in red oil, while the hae mul soon tofu was had no oil at all. The beef soon tofu tasted like...water with a hint of tofu. The hae mul soon tofu was only slightly better, as the seafood in the broth added slight flavor so it didnt taste like we were drinking water used to rinse tofu. The tofu soups were so dissappointing, we ended up just scooping out the tofu + ingredients from the broth and eating that alone. I can honestly say that the take home BCD Tofu House packs you can buy for $3 taste 10x better than the soon tofu we ordered.All together, I paid about $100 for the 5 dishes, which is pretty pricey for bimbimbap (with missing components & undercooked eggs) and 2 cartons of tofu water.

Looked up Korean places to try while in town and this one was close by on uber.Got here at 8pm and ordered Galbi and Ramen with rice cake with kimchi plus drinks.The banchan was yummyyyyyyy. The crispy potatoes was my favorite. I couldnt get enough.Loved the saimin and ribs (wasnt fatty) I prefer fatty but my daughter doesnt. And we both enjoyed them.We ate it all, we left zero crumbs. 😅Its located in a small shopping strip with nearby market.You can tell a lot of locals come here so its one of those spots you dont know about unless you look them up.Check out this gem.

This is the first time I have been here since the new management, and the first time I have dinner. The bim bam bop is tasty. The spicy BBQ sauce has changed and feels less falvorfull. The bulgogi was dry and flavorless. Lastly the service was sterile and cold. While nothing specific stood out as poor it was a travesty of low quality.I am going to stick to the lunch menu from now on.

This place has changed hands from the grouchy owners of long ago. The food quality was surprisingly good and the service was really friendly and attentive. They have kpop playing on a TV. The vibe is casual so youre comfortable eating in your sweatpants. Theres a parking lot. That alone was enough to get me to try it.

This place just opened less than 2 months ago and all these reviews seem to be from older management I just want to justifies this place because they are awesome. They have the best authentic Korean food that just really Satisfies a Korean gals taste buds. The meat is super fresh and the side dishes are so yummy. The service was great and I love how If u want a little chat time with the buddies they help you cook the meat so it does not burn. Im definitely coming back!

I had the dumpling soup, and it was great! The meat inside was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the broth was perfectly seasoned!Their prices are a bit higher than I expected, but they have a variety of freebies that they give you with your meals so the value is still worth it. Most of their menu items are $20+, but they do have some items that are $13-15. Inflation probably contributes to that too...Hope this helps!

I had been going to this restaurant literally for over 20 years and have been returning after they had a fire and it was rebuilt and now after an apparent third owner calling it Brotherss.The layout of the restaurant has never changed. You can cook your own or have it prepared for you. I had Bol Gogee beef & chicken with Soju like I usually do but didnt care for the atmosphere now.The place seems to have degraded to a local traditional Korean restaurant to a cafeteria style joint. The waitresses are pushy and trying to up sale you to order dishes you dont ask for. I was double teamed by two women. Oddly enough I saw the same practice at the two othe patrons tables that came in after me.They now charge for TOGO boxes, which on the dining room floor you can see as it is a part of where they keep the inventory and it is clearly marked with different pricing plaques for different sizes.The food has become basic and pricy, bit you always get enough for two. I need to find another Korean restaurant to go to for another another w0 years.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in the area! Spicy tofu mushroom soup is my go-to and my partner gets the hot stone bibimbap. I always steal bites of his because both are so delicious. The bonchon spread is wonderful with lots of options and the best part is they will refill them for hungry piggies like me. Brothers BBQ is a must try if you like Korean dishes, even if youre vegan like us you will find something to please and the menu is quite extensive for those who want the BBQ side of things.

Ignore the negative reviews. Those are from the previous management. Under the new management everything is superb from food to service!I ordered the beef yukhoe to gauge the freshness of the meat. It was definitely fresh, not something sitting around in the freezer. Presentation was marvelous 👍

Best Korean food in San Leandro. Hits the Dolsot Bibimbap craving, which hasnt been satisfied since Maejoo changed owners. Tofu soup is on point. Kind of pricy, so unfortunately I have not tried the BBQ yet except for the Kalbi which is cooked in the kitchen as opposed to at the table. It was good though.

Restaurant has good ventilation, which is good no odor in the air, most of Asian restaurants has horrible ventilation and old smells which is soaked into the interior. Food is good, portions are big for that price. There are cheaper places, but this place has good space, so customers can seat comfortably. The only thing is, why if you buy a Korean wine, you cannot take it home?

I would give this place a zero if I could. I ordered a meal on doordash for a vegetable tofu soup and my mom ordered chicken wings. First impression was that yay! this place included side dishes!! and my second reaction was why is there beef and seafood in a meal that was described as tofu and vegetables?I was willing to pick the beef and shrimp and oysters out of my soup to eat it but the taste of the soup on its own was terrible. It had no flavor except for spicy, Im pretty sure they water down the base a lot since Ive had this before in other korean restaurants and it was always much more flavorful. My mom said the chicken wings were mediocre.I dont recommend that anyone ever orders from this place.

I come here whenever I can for dinner. The food is pricy but worth every penny. Im not a super emotional person, but something about their food just has me eating in bliss and wanting to tear up. The customer service is amazing, everyone is friendly. They even remember me when I come, and Im not a typical regular. I dont think Ill ever try another Korean BBQ spot again.

First and last time I will go there. We waited for 30 minutes before she took our order. Than another 15 minutes before she brought us something to drink. We were there anout an hour and 15 before she took our order. Than found out she was rhe waitress and the cook. Felt bad for her but they should never have opened if they didnt have enough people to work. She got our order wrong and charged us twice. The bill for 12 of us was 461 dollars. Plus her tip she put down for 69 dollars. Never again.

There was a long wait for everything (taking food orders, food to come out, getting a check, paying for the check). For example, the waitress went away twice while I was trying to pay. I thought perhaps because were in a group, the mandatory 18% gratuity means that they dont care about providing timely service, but the service wasnt that good in the past either when I went there with fewer people or by myself.I wont come back. Came here because of the good reviews. Immediately after placing the order online we got a call saying we needed to come right away because they’re closing in a few minutes. When we arrived the food wasn’t ready. When we were given our second bag (and after giving a $20 tip) the lady told us that was everything so naturally, we left. A few minutes later we got another rude call from the lady asking why we left because there was still one more item. Food was good but not worth the terrible service. I have eaten at this restaurant several times. It is located in this sort of isolated mini shopping area. Food is good. Korean corn tea comes free and your meal is served with a wide variety of delicious kimchees.Service is average. A lot of Asian restaurants dont really have the custom to check with you how your meal is. The second time you see them is when they bring you the check. So dont expect impressive service at this restaurant, however, they are not rude either. They offer lunch at a much more discounted price than dinner. Your dinner could end up costing you twice as much. For example, the BBQ Pork for lunch is around $9 whereas dinner is $18. The most annoying thing here on my last visit was the loud Spanish music they were playing in the kitchen. Apparently there were a few Hispanic workers and they were allowed to play some Mariachi Spanish songs at a volume high enough to make my eating experience uncomfortable. Spanish music at a Korean restaurant? That didnt feel right. I felt I was eating Mexican food that tasted Korean. Anyway, I talked to the waitress about the situation and mentioned that that would be bad for business. Apparently the owners have very little control of that kitchen and workers can do whatever they want. The owners ought to do something about it.

The first thing I noticed was that they dont have an AYCE option here! D: However, they do provide your standard legit Korean fare here in San Leandro, in a corner where there arent many other choices for good Asian food. They have a pretty spacious interior and could seat quite a few guests, although it was fairly calm and quiet when I visited for a late lunch. Prices were fair (lunch specials~) and the banchan typical. The Korean mama running around seemed somewhat stressed and rushed at the time, but maybe she just had something going on that day... otherwise, a great place to grab a bite to eat!

A decent Korean restaurant in the middle of San Leandro. What I really like about them is that they open until 3pm for lunch, so when I got stuck on a late or meeting or something I can still swing by here for a bite to eat.One thing I like is they serve naeng myun, which is the buckwheat cold noodle. And when they say its cold, theyre not kidding around. Youll see ice cubes floating on the soup. Its so refreshing during hot summer (yall know how hot summer in the East Bay can be).Their other menus are standard korean dishes like bi bim bap, pork bulgogi, etc. Theyre all delicious and served with plenty servings of banchan (side dishes). Love it.

Two of us went to eat all you can eat.However, we do not provide the meat that the customer wants, but rather the beef brisket.Since there are two people, they say that after eating pork belly and brisket first, they will give you brisket...So, I ordered pork belly and brisket, but didnt eat the pork belly, put it aside and ate only the brisket. When I asked for the brisket, he said he couldnt give it to me because he didnt eat pork belly.Then he said that I shouldn’t use the phrase “all you can eat.”The landlady said it was her heart,,,I was charged $3.00 each time I ordered lettuce because it wasnt included in All You Can Eat... Its a waste to even give this place a star. I had to give it a star, but the writer gave it reluctantly.....Its a place I never want to go to again...

The waitress is very rude I went there and she was very impatient and rude when we were leaving the restaurant the waitress kept saying that we should give her tips very bad indeed the cooks are Latin but the service is very bad very rude Asian apart from spending a lot of money they want A percentage of the tips are crazy, they dont deserve anything because they dont treat people well, but the food is good.
