Some of the best Korean barbecue I have ever had. The charcoal is superior over the low end gas bbqs at most other kbbq. The service is great, and I leave full and happy every time!

This place is currently my favorite Korean barbecue place in the Bay Area. I’ve been here twice and both times have been excellent.Service has always been top-notch, they use real charcoal, and the banchan is really high quality.This place specializes in marinated meats and you can’t go wrong with whatever you pick. My favorite meats are the kalbi and bulgogi. And I always like to thrown in the steamed egg and tofu soup.I recommend this place to all my friends and family for a delicious time!

Very delicious. Food is better than what we had in korea. Amazing service. All staffs are very attentive to customers. Because the cooking smell can stay on you for awhile, you should not make a important meeting after visiting this place :)

Dank KBBQ. No all you can eat options, but meat is high quality and flavorful. Limited non-meat options or appetizers (tofu soup and diff types of pancakes).Great service. We walked in on a Tuesday for a group of 4 and were seated quickly. Grills cook meat evenly and the smoke isn’t as bad as most BBQ places, but be prepared to walk out smelling like Kalbi 😋

Stumbled upon this gem while actually getting pizza nextdoor. Came back the next night to try it out and it did not disappoint! They have individual items as well as the 2-4 person menu items. Very friendly staff, fast and efficient, no long wait times. Family owned, welcomed and greeted us. We sat outside seating because we had our dog with us. Staff even brought out a bowl of water for our dog. Its not all you can eat but they refilled the banchan and anything extra we wanted without charge. We are only visiting SF, not locals so this place is definitely on our must-go for next time we visit.

Wonderful authentic Korean restaurant. It is Korean BBQ but please do not visit and expect it to be an All You Can Eat at an AYCE price. You can choose items to bbq a la carte like Bulgogi or Spicy Pork or Chicken. Also a la carte items with favorites like spicy tofu soup and Japchae. Pricier than AYCE KBBQ restaurants but the food authentically delicious.They still had their parklet open for seating. Although it was cold on Valentines Day, we chose to sit outside. They had a propane heater by the table and the table bbq also kept you warm. It was really wood charcoal! We really couldnt decide what to order, so when the server came, I asked if it would be weird if we ordered the 4- person dinner for two people. 😆 He said no but that it was a lot of food : it contained Bulgogi, galbi, spicy pork (or Chicken, but we chose pork), Japchae and spicy tofu soup. We also ordered the Korean Cheese Corn but for some reason we didnt get it, but we didnt remember we never got it until after we left. We were so full because we ate everything! The 4-person dinner also came with assorted banchan, steamed rice and lettuce leaves. We were in love with the giant bowl of spicy tofu soup. We ate it all, washed it down with a big bottle of Cass beer, and barley tea.If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant, dont hesitate to try Brothers.

Best Korean Food in the Bay Area. When I was a kid (20 yrs ago), we took my American great grandmother to try Korean Food here. Then this last weekend, my hubby took me here for Mothers day. It was an amazing experience this weekend just as it was 20 years ago. We cant wait to go back, and I wont wait another 20 more years before returning.We ordered the Bi Bim Naeng Myun (highly recommended), Bulgogi (over charcoal grill), Ojingeo Bokkom and Soondubu Jjigae. Everything including the banchan was incredibly delicious.

9-7-21:Made reservations for dinner at 630pm (glad they accepted reservations). Although they had a parklet outside, we decided to sit inside. Workers were all masked and it felt safe to eat. Service was top notch!Ordered the kalbi, spicy pork, BBQ chicken 🐓 (self grilled at the table), tofu soup and the oyster Jun. All were really tasty 😋. Would definitely come back again for more delicious Korean BBQ!The tofu soup was made very well. The jiggee always is one of my favorites. Traditional comfort food!One new thing that resulted from the pandemic is that everyone gets their own tray of salad, panchun, rice. That was actually much easier to eat than pre-pandemic days.Finished off with a Korean lager. Overall, five ⭐! Thank you for a great dinner.

We have been at Brothers for the past 35 years for a total of at least 40-50 times. This is BBQ at your table. Dishes are authentic. Service is quick and friendly. The place can get busy so arrive on the earlier side - 6:00-6:30pm. Atmosphere can be a bit smoky (many tables BBQing at the same time) and simple but primarily go for the food. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

BOMB mesquite wood charcoal KBBQ with outdoor and indoor seating! Amazing kalbi (beef short rib) marbling and quality. Oyster jun is delicious and juicy. Ssamjang is made in-house. Yum! Ive only had Korean a few times but this was a great experience! Clean, open space, friendly, fast, and attentive service, and most importantly great food!We had bulgogi and chicken bbq at our table over fresh mesquite wood. Both great flavor! Great Korean BBQ! It was our first time with Korean BBQ so we were a little nervous, but it was a very pleasant surprise and we enjoyed (almost) all of the small plates. The pork and the beef were excellent. Next time I will try the chicken as well. Very fun evening for a first experience, or for a regular Korean BBQ fan.

Im Korean American and I have been coming here all my life. Nothing in the states rivals this place for KBBQ (even in LA). The galbi is marinated very well and is so juicy and the charcoal grill adds a great smoky flavor. The doenjang jjigae is also very good here and goes excellently with galbi.

Old school Korean place. Only place in SF that you can get meat jun (bulgogi jun) which is a Hawaiian Korean speciality. Imagine a super savory beef pancake. Thick egg batter and good slice of meat. Amazing service and we got a complimentary tofu soup due to the cold.Def coming back here again!

Delicious Korean BBQ! The meat is delicious, especially the pork, which was covered in a flavorful, tangy sauce. The side dishes are plentiful and a good variety; some of which reminds me of authentic Chinese food which was a plus. Definitely the best Korean BBQ in SF. Banchan is good and unlimited (as it should be). Stone pot was really tasty and so was the complimentary tofu soup! Wood fire to grill at the table makes all the difference in the taste of the meat. Service is also spot on. My friend dropped a chopstick on the floor and they brought over with a new chopstick before he even started to ask. They also have a call button at each table that allows you to quickly summon a waiter. Pictures are of the wood fire that goes under the metal grill.

Would totally have walked past this place as it looked so unassuming if the high reviews had not directed me here specifically. And it is every bit as good as it sounded.Both the service and food were wonderful. Outdoor seating was not cold at all as they had good heaters and put on the bbq fire even though we did not go for the bbq (will need to come back to try it!). Banchan was plentiful, barley tea was comforting, and I highly recommend the doenjang soup as they make their own soybean paste which is particularly flavorful and complex! 👍🏼

We just wanted Galbijjim so we saw this place when searching for the dish.The service and staff were great and the food was really yummy. Had to dock a star because the Galbijjim had no sauce. It dried up but it was good. The meat was very flavorful and soft, but not falling apart.It was served on a hot plate which dried up the broth.Other items that were good were their banchan and the BBQ items.The Hae Mul Pa Jun was fried well, also yum!!

Charcoal grilled kbbq tastes different than gas stove grilled kbbq. Try for yourself and see what I mean!For two people we ordered, two orders of Kalbi, Kimchi Tofu Stew, and Oyster Jun Pancake. This was way more than enough food for two tbh. But, everything was soo delicious that we ended up finishing everything. Kalbi was high quality, fresh, and flavorful. Kimchi Tofu Stew uses really fermented kimchi and good quality gochujang. The oyster jun pancakes uses fresh enough oysters and battered so well that every bite comes with a slight crunch but also a mouthful of oyster. Also they have such a wide variety of banchans, and all are delicious.I am drooling at the thought of reviewing this food. I cant wait to go back when there is an occasion to celebrate because the prices are a little on the steep end.

So much extra food they bring you, soup, rice seaweed and lettuce wraps, it was amazing. Some of the best Korean food around. A little pricey but thats the usual thing about Korean restaurants in general. The food is great, fresh, with great pickled condiments. The downside is that its quite smokey in there from all the table-top barbecuing. Even when theres a few customer, the lingering K-BBQ smoke is pervasive and gets in your clothes and hair. Youll be wearing the smokey scent for awhile after the visit. We would like to return for the food, but only if they address smoke removal. Their smoke extraction system is poor and ill-designed.

Absolutely amazing authentic Korean BBQ with 33 years of family flavor! The boneless short ribs were the best Ive ever had in San Francisco! The flavor was delicious and was perfect!! The spicy pork was cooked crispy like I asked and the flavor wasnt over powering! You actually get to taste the pork and spice without burning your tongue off! The coleslaw and dressing was yummy, the rice cooked perfectly, the housemate kimchi was to die for, the fish and jalapeño mixture was so unique im thinking about it as we speak, all the Banchan was everything you wanted with a korean meal. The kimchi fried rice has so much flavor, it was honestly the best ive had in SF. Everything we ate including the potstickers were wonderful! Right now during covid they have an amazing outdoor seating area set up so cute you forget your in the middle of Geary Blvd eating. Its enclosed, socially distanced, hand sanatizer offered and great service. I highly recommend this Korean BBQ place when you are in SF. You can cook everything yourself at the table OR they will prepare it for you in the back. We chose to have it prepared in the back and it came out quick and hot! My husband and I will definitely be back to try their other options!! What a wonderful hidden gem!

Our family visited on May 16th, 2021 about 12:45 pm.As soon as you entered the restaurant, the server instantly greeted with us and provided the table. We ordered the signature galbi and all of them were very delicious. I am from JeonJu, Korea, the town is well known as the city of taste and very high expectation about the food. Their meat was great quality and their special bean paste soup (deonjang Ji-Gae) was great. The owner told me that they made their Kimch and bean paste by themself. Love the flavor of their Kalbi! Underneath it the charcoal grill sets the atmosphere. Next to it several side dishes offer many different combinations I can make with it. I went here on a Valentines date and boy was it a treat. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is really sweet, and it was something new and fun to try! Now, mind you, it isnt a super cozy kind of atmosphere, there are lots of people so it is quite loud, but I think its a perfect place for friends. I visited Brothers after reading other reviews, and Im very pleased with my decision. Everyone in my party of three enjoyed the food. We got a menu for four, with a grill on the table, at a very good price that included more food wed like to admit. The staff was friendly, and they even got us a couple can of soda on the house for no aparent reason.There is no decoration to speak of, and the ventilation gets very noisy, so its not a place for a quiet or romantic dinner.The only complaint is that in spite of the air extraction system, we smelled strongly to the food. I guess that its just what you can expect when you order a grill on your table.

This is one of my favorite Korean places in the city. Their family style meals seem to be worth the price, but I mainly come here for the myriad of banchan side dishes. My brother and I came here after an event for dinner, and we were surprised at the number of side dishes that came out (16+). I LOVE this restaurant. Ive had the best meals Ive had in San Francisco here. The first time I came here, I came with my boyfriend. Were both from Vancouver (although hes originally from Seoul) and we were so in love with the authentic charcoal grills, homey vibe, the awesome banchan, the great quality of the meat, and the really cute ahjummas who were so friendly and served us very well. The prices are also totally reasonable. We ordered galbi. My boyfriend said the flavours were the most authentic hes tasted outside of Korea. After a while (a week) of not having Korean BBQ (KBBQ) and vacationing in San Francisco, I went to Brothers with family and friends for a really enjoyable experience.We ordered chicken, beef, ribs, spicy squid, rice mix, omelette w/chives and seafood omelette and 2 Saporros just to sample what this place is really made of.If youre used to KBBQ where the waitress does the all the grilling and other preparations of foods for you, you may not experience that. What Ive never seen in a KBBQ place was the use of charcoal on the grill and unfortunately I overcook my own beef which was perhaps the most thinly cut Ive ever seen in a KBBQ. The Chicken on the other hand was perfectly moist even though burnt on the surface. The soups and spicy squid was not too spicy nor salty and omelette was on the bland side which was perfect with the use of sauces. The mixed rice on the other hand felt a little too moist in consistency but the red sauce was perfect for taste. Kimchee was generous with turnips, bean sprouts, dried seaweed, cucumbers, potato and to finish the meal off, they provided a really nice cold sweet rice soup.The bill totaling $190 for 8 people including alcohol is fairly inexpensive considering a similar KBBQ meal in Flushing, NY would have easily been the same price for 4-5 people. Much to our surprise, they threw in 2 clam tofu soups on the house.This place is usually packed and you may have to wait if you didnt make reservations and it is not a fancy looking place though certainly a busy place.

The only food you cook yourself is the bugogi and kalb on real coals just like the old country, everything else is done in the kitchen. But, service is outstanding and additional ban chan is readily available for the asking. This was a sibling dinner and we had a long leisurely evening and were never rushed. My VA Dr. told me she was from SF, I was station there from 11/88 until 04/91 and I couldnt remember the name of this unbelievable kbbq place, being a Pvt in the army I could only eat there once a month, but was convinced the food had crack in it, because 1/4 my $657 a month was gone in one place. When she said bothers, I screamed like a little girl, YES, YES, THATS THEM, and my mouth started watering over a taste I have tried to find in my kitchen and through traveling. Disappointing service. You cook your own food but it is confusing what exactly you should be doing to cook and how you should be eating your food. I did the grilling at your table and the waitress would put meat on the grill then walk off. I wasnt sure if she would be cooking the food or me. Sometimes she would come around and flip the meat or take it off the grill. Sometimes she would not come to the table to cook the meat so I took over cooking. They also did not tell me what sides to eat the meat with (there were about 12 sides).
