While researching some fun things to do for our anniversary I stumbled across Buckeye Roadhouse on Instagram. I’m so glad - the patio was perfect, semi enclosed and heated once the sun went down. The service from everyone was friendly and seemed genuinely caring. The food - so good. We had cocktails to start with Oysters Bingo and chicken wings. I had the shrimp and bacon salad, my husband loved the ribs, and we enjoyed fantastic key lime pie. Definitely hope to visit again.

Parking can be challenging. The restaurant is just off the 101 in Mill Valley. The food was well presented and tasty, but not deeelicious, if you know what I mean. The atmosphere is rustic and charming. The place could use a freshening up. The bar is fantastic. The service was excellent.

My wife and I had dinner here on July 3rd. We were welcomed by the host and seated at the banquet seating in the bar due to not having a reservation. We were happy to be seated and couldnt wait to try the food. We had been told by friends who live in the area that the food was great. The atmosphere was good the place was busy and the bar staff seemed to be on point. I ordered the petrale sole and was not happy with the flavor and the mixture of nuts and capers that adorned it. I know that some chefs can work magic with flavors but this was a complete let down. I wish I had went for the braised beef instead. The smoked wings were also a tad overdone. I have to say the cocktails definitely made up for the lack lustre food. Maybe we got the A team bartenders and the C team of chefs that evening but like I said it wasnt anything to write home about. I am open to trying this place again as the atmosphere was impressive. Hopefully next time therell be an improvement

One of our favorite restaurants in Marin. Super old school vibe smokehouse. The aroma along with the old wood feel sends you back. The steaks, the food is outstanding. The ribs and the mashed potatoes with horseradish?!? OMG! AMAZING. The wine list is fantastic. And if you get a seat at the bar? VERY COOL. The locals are so friendly. The bartenders are so attentive and end up being your best friend by the time you leave. Ha! Great times and great dinners/experiences in the Buckeye Roadhouse. Every. Single. Time.

This restaurant is the most overpriced, mediocre place I visited during my entire week in San Francisco. The single best thing I ate at Buckeye’s was the Truffle Fries. Highly recommend those. The artichoke was good but the sauce they serve the artichoke with is the star of the dish. The sauce is fantastic for dipping the truffle fries! I had the brisket for the main course. The meat was delicious and tender but they completely ruined the entire dish with a nasty, thick sauce they drowned both the beef and mashed potatoes with. I asked for a plate and salvaged what meat and mashed potatoes I could but that sauce was overbearing and gross. I mentioned it to the waiter and he did not want to hear it. The s’more pie was meh. A marshmallow, piece of Hershey’s and a graham cracker would have been a better dessert.I was there with my friend and we were splitting our ticket. That seemed to make our waiter disgruntled. Overall, my take is this is a fancy place for locals. If you’re visiting or a tourist, there are SO MANY other great places to go. This would not make the list for me. Very disappointing for the price!

Solid, slightly elevated comfort foods accompanied with great service and a cozy atmosphere. If the staff werent dressed for a fancy night out, you wouldnt think it was that upscale from just the menu. We really enjoyed how attentive our waiter was and the food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Happy to have stopped in for dinner!

Wonderful restaurant, beautiful interior. Our friends live in Sausalito and took us here. They had to make reservations 30 days in advance. Meats are cooked over an open pit (as I was told). Service and meal presentation were excellent. Between the 4 of us we had the Skirt Steak, Pork Chop and both ladies had the Roast Duck. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We split desserts with the Baked Lemon Pudding and Key Lime Pie. Both were fabulous. If you can get reservations you must try this place.

Beautiful structure, and landscape. Once inside you get the full aroma of the smokehouse. Make reservations either online, or by calling. Wished we sat out in the covered patio, but we were seated next to the biggest fireplace I ever seen. Front of House greeted us immediately after being seated. Drinks ordered: The Old Fashion 5 stars for how strong it was, Raspberry Tea sweet after adding some sugar. Appetizer: Crispy Calamari & Shrimp 5 stars, was delicious. Entrees: 1-Marinated Skirt Steak with Truffle Fries, 4 star steak was good but wasnt a whole lot of it. 2-Smoked Baby Back Ribs with fries, 5 stars smoked really well, and was delicious. Also ordered their Mac n Cheese with ham, 5 stars hands down the best cheesiest Ive ever had Dessert: 5 stars for The Smores Pie, WOW that was heavenly with the torched marshmallow. Last but not least our waitress, Miss Beverly. She was attentive, and very sweet! She was on top of everything the whole entire time, loved her!

I always been wanted to go here. Its literally the house turned into a restaurant... very nice ambiance, beautiful, warm and vintage also red n romantic. The food was so delicious and different. I tried their crab benny, it was great. The eggs were cooked perfectly, The potato croquettes comes with it was awesome too... the crab was so fresh even tho its not in season. Their begniets with coffee cream sauce and homemade raspberry jam was great.

Had reservations- waitress made her rounds but never came to our table. She checked on other tables and did not give any eye contact. I was with two Asian people who said they felt like she did not want to serve them. I will never know because we left after waiting 30 minutes. The host did call to ask what happened and that was a nice gesture. However, being there was an awkward experience. It really felt like we were being ignored on purpose. All tables were being served except us. Normally, I would have said something to gain her attention but she was always at other tables and then moving to the back and disappearing. When she walked passed us and asked the table behind us if they wanted a second drink, it was too late, not even worth getting her attention. We left- not worth it.

The food and atmosphere were outstanding. The service was pretty good, except that my server not once smiled at me throughout my lunch. His service was adequate, but he also kept giving me these weird looks like I was going to bail or something. In fact, for most of my meal, he stationed himself right near my table as if to watch over me. It was a bit uncomfortable, but nothing Im not used to. (Im black.) It wasnt until after my payment card was accepted and he handed me the merchant slip to sign that I got a smile. Meanwhile, everyone else in the dining room - all of whom were white - received smiles, and were treated like normal patrons, throughout their meals.

This was our first visit to the Buckeye Roadhouse. It was a special occasion for us and we had heard that Buckeye Roadhouse was very popular. I was warned to make a reservation far in advance to guarantee a table. We got a reservation for 6:00pm without any problems.The decor of Buckeye represents a mountain cabin with a large fireplace,The service was good. The atmosphere was nice but noisy. It is a smaller restaurant with an upper level and some limited outdoor seating. The hard surfaces of the floor and walls contribute to the noise.The Buckeye Roadhouse is a well known local eatery and most guests were dressed casually as if they were frequent customers.The food was excellent and presented well. The wine list, while not very extensive, had a very good selection at various price points. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and will return on another special occasion. $$$$

Two years ago I noted that it is a good idea to have a reservation at the Buckeye Roadhouse. That is true today. So, plan to eat at the Buckeye! The outdoor seating is excellent, the food delicious and the wait staff courteous and conscientious. What an amazing experience at Buckeye Roadhouse! Stopped in after a hike in Muir Woods. Service from Jack at the bar was incredible, he made one of the best Flying Sombrero (mezcal paper plane) and Naked & Famous cocktails (mezcal paper plane w/ Chartreuse instead of Amaro)Food was exceptional. Ham & Jalapeno (added) skillet Mac and cheese. The bartender recommended adding the cheese stuffed pasilla pepper from their chicken dish to the burger, which is completely mouthwatering. The burger was on the rare side of medium rare, which is how I prefer it. Side of spinach was also awesome, shallots instead of the usual over-garlic oily spinach.Amazing experience! Will be back with friends! Also huge shoutout to server Alex for stopping by and checking in on how my burger was. The wait staff were phenomenal. The atmosphere is pretty high stakes so maybe don’t walk in wearing pajama/comfy workout pants like I did. The food was just okay. For the price of the food I expected it to knock me out of the water. The mushroom crostini was sautéed in a little too much wine. The filet mignon came with a sauce with capers. Which was probably the highlight of the steak but also was just mediocre in flavor. The potatoes au gratin had very little flavor as well. I’m wondering if their cooks know where the salt is… honestly so much could have been better by adding a little salt before cooking. The saving grace was the chocolate mouse. It had a nice rich dark chocolate flavor to it, with a hard chocolate outer layer and the mouse being within. The sticky toffee cake was also decent although I wish it had came with a just a dash more butterscotch sauce because it was a smidge dry. In terms of delivery the “plating” was absolute trash for a place where I’m spending $65-70 a person . Cider was from a can. I wish they would list that. I can’t stand paying $10 for a can that I could have picked up from BevMo. That I then have to pour myself. Our waitress was a dream. I don’t think the service could be better in this life or another.

Parking is provided by complimentary valet. This is a beautiful 2-story restaurant. Our bill came to about $125 before tip. The service is fantastic. The oysters bingo tastes like oysters Rockefeller but better. It is served warm with cheese and spinach. The scallops entree sat on a bed of fresh creamed corn. The scallops were seasoned. The spinach was the best weve had- taste of lemon and garlic. The macaroni and cheese with ham was okay. My husband loved his smoked brisket- meat fell of the bone. The baked lemon pudding for dessert was absolutely refreshing. We should have stuck with just our entrees and oysters. The two sides was too much to eat. Well definitely come back.

What a Marin County, CA gem, such is The Buckeye Roadhouse Restaurant in Mill Valley, CA. The longtime staff is attentive to your every need, yet unobtrusive and discreet. They note your request, and provide it without judgement (only end pieces of Bread - YES, only a splash of water and five lime slices - YES). The food is meat - centric, as the name of the establishment would imply, but there are healthier and fresh options too. The wine list is approachable to non - snobs, but something that (considering the tier and price point), would not disappoint a connoisseur. Walk up the wheelchair accessible, and winding ramp, past lush succulents (winter), or blooming spring time buds, to the enclosed porch overlooking the Bay Area, to the hostess station, and something just says home. Stop by for a few booth seating options up front to keep it casual, or take your time to go to the back, more formal fireplace dining room. Even Valet Eric rushed to get your car, with complementary valet parking, and from start to finish, a lovably dining experience. Clean, wheelchair accessible, gender - specific bathrooms. Buckeye is top tier for Marin dining. Best experience is in the bar (if you can get a booth or a seat at the bar!). Love that you get the classy 50s roadhouse vibe and can watch a game. Eating in the dining room or patio is very nice as well. I can’t NOT order the Oysters Bingo, it’s delicious. All their food is pretty spot on, especially off the smoked section.

A place I stumbled across looking for somewhere else. Working office location is Oakland but, never stay in Oakland, I head to mill valley. So when Im not traveling to construction sites and/or pre construction site visits, Ill stay near the Buckeye Roadhouse. The food is good but, expensive for a guy on per diem, bartenders are outstanding, because I tend to eat evening meals in bars. We stopped in randomly last Wednesday night looking for some good food and the first thing we noticed was the packed parking lot and bar! They were able to take us and put us in a cute little booth upstairs. Our waitress was super nice and very quick to come check if we needed anything and refill drinks when needed. The absolute worst baby back ribs Ive had in my entire life. I could not in good conscience recommend this place to anyone, my wife had a burger and it was just so so. Theres absolutely no view, The place is noisy, and seating outside is not great. Certainly not worth the price that they charge.

Already went to buckeye a couple of times, and it is ok. The best thing: oysters bingo, and the steak frites with chimichurri.This last time we got this file mignon plate and it was a little bit overwhelming with the potatoes and all the parmesan on it. I would substitute the scallopini potatoes for arugula salad maybe. Overall I would give 3.7 stars.

Tried the artichoke and the ribs. Im not sure which was worse the food or the service. The place was busy so maybe its just me but the corn was burned and cold on the other side and the ribs were dry and tasted like cardboard. The artichoke has no flavor. My son asked for a toothpick because he got corn stuck in his teeth the waiter said they have them downstairs but wouldnt bring one. If you want ribs and artichoke go to Houstons aka hillstones. We left half of the food over and the waiter didnt even bother to ask if anything was wrong.

Love the Buckeye for eat in, but it gets poor marks for take out. They really needs to improve their process. Twice now our food order was prepared 15 minute before its scheduled pickup time. The food is just sitting out on a bench by the hostess getting cold, so it is really not appetizing when you finally get it home. Composted otherwise delicious food after a few bites. Pretty sure that isnt how its supposed to work. Not good for a top of the line restaurant to keep doing that. They can easily do a lot better on take out.

On a Thursday night, with reservations at just before 6 was a great time. The attention and service was on par. As the restaurant filled, the charm of this lodge faded with the robust noise of patrons by 730pm. It us noticeably quite louder. We all are different items off the menu. The rib eye seemed to be the favorite and prepared very well. White bean soup with bacon aioli also a hit. The deserts were hit and miss. Lamb shank was ok. Oversaturated the flavor with seasoning and messed up the couscous. Overall for a celebration, was a fine choice. Looking forward to warmer weather and eating outside. I went to this place on a whim because it was my wifes birthday and she saw it on the side of the road and wanted to try it out.Both my wife and daughter liked the atmosphere of the place as well as myself. The new server never came back to check on anything at all for the whole meal, including if we needed refills on anything or about anything whatsoever, he just vanished.This new server only reappeared after our dishes were taken away by the busser and just threw some dessert menus onto the table and promptly forgot about us again. After about ten minutes of being ignored and forgotten about as we sat at the table with no further intention to get dessert, I had to get one of the ladies from the front entrance to help me. I let her know that our server just disappeared and she said she would find him.Well she found him and he didnt even bother to apologize and just asked us what we needed him for, like we were some burden, so I told him we wanted our bill. I took my credit card out to pay and had it in my hand held up once I saw him walking back with the bill. However, instead of taking my card he just threw the bill on the table, turned around immediately and walked off. I had to call him back as I had no intention to stay at this place longer if Im going to be treated like Im having a meal at McDonalds.The whole birthday dinner was my wife and daughter was pretty much ruined by this new server as it doesnt matter the quality of the food if the service is horrible.

I’ve never eaten here before, but I do deliver for them through a 3rd party. The entryway is always very clean and tidy, and their landscaping is very well maintained. The employees are also very nice and efficient. For being more of an upscale restaurant, I definitely don’t feel any sort of “snootiness” from anyone who works there. I’ve also never had to wait for customer’s food like I do at some of the other restaurants in the area. They seem to really be on the ball every single time, which I appreciate. Their food always smells great, too. Their outdoor dining patio area looks like it has a chill vibe, and their bar area has a chill atmosphere as well. Last night was our second visit to Marin in two months, our last being a spur of the moment overnight trip on Valentines Day. Wed heard good reviews but with restaurants only having outdoor seating and it being a holiday, finding reservations last minute was a failed attempt. So we opted for takeout and had a romantic fireside dinner at our hotel. Ive never had upper scale dining to-go, as the ambiance is a big part of the occasion. I must say, we had no regrets however. The skirt steak was phenomenal and the butter lettuce salad was a lot bigger than we expected. We had our own wine and made the most of it.Fast forward to last night and we were able to get an 8pm reservation, last minute as we had a later than expected departure from home. The host was gracious and let us sit at the bar until our table was ready. We enjoyed a delicious Old Vine Zinfandel and talked a bit of baseball with the bartender (my favorite team literally just threw their first no hitter as we pulled into the parking lot). From there we were brought out back to the beautiful patio. I imagine on a warmer summer evening, without the tents, its an amazing atmosphere. The food and staff lives up to their reputation. It was excellent! It was enjoyable to be eating at the restaurant, watching people laugh and share good food, drinks and overall company with one another. And while the masks were present, and social distancing was in full effect, this for once felt like a bit of normalcy had returned. Im glad we made our reservation and look forward to our return. Next time, we must save room for dessert 😊

It was like a tomatillo something sauce... it was also green and they should put THAT with the steak as thats how I found the steak to taste better.I cant speak for the other dishes but hubs said the burger was very meh. It was NOT wagyu quality. He said hes had better at habit and they dont even have wagyu... My daughter had the fish and she said it was OK. So no one had a spectacular WOW dish.Now for the service: When we came in, they asked if we had a reservation. I said no. There was an older couple behind, leaning (kind of) against the wall behind the computer station. Maybe he was the owner because the two young people looked a little stressed. There was another Hispanic male who brought us our appetizer and bread, he was very nice also.UNFORTUNATELY, our waiter had to leave as we were in the middle of dinner. The person who replaced him, a heavy set Hispanic male. He sounded pleasant but I never saw him back on our floor until he dropped off our dessert menus. That was after someone came by and took our plates, brushed the table from crumbs without saying a word. Ive never had that happen at any upscale restaurant. They will usually ask permission first. At the very least he could have said excuse me.Now, the dinner menu. NO prices on the desserts, only on the wines. Thats weird... are they free? That cant be right. We sat for 10 mins, not a soul was nearby. Then the young lady who sat us came by with a tablet and was (Im guessing?) counting tables or people or something. She was tip tapping on it but I dont know exactly what was on the tablet. I asked her over and then asked if the desserts were free to which she said no. Then we said that was fine, we were fine with getting our check then. We explained that we had been left stranded for 10 mins. She apologised then went to find our waiter who came over, took our menus, dumped the check (not placed it, dumped it) and was hurrying off before my husband grabbed his attention to take the card he was ALREADY holding in his hand raised so the waiter could see it as he dropped off the check.Again, this guy never said a word. Not an Im sorry. Not an I didnt see you holding the card. Nothing. He just took the card and the check, left us stranded another 5 mins. Came back. This man must be a mute. He never said a word. I dont know if he cant speak English, if hes rude, if hes mute, or special needs. But that soured our dinner.The icing on the cake? It was my birthday dinner. Hurrah... Yeah, were not coming back to this place. Go to outback, save yourself serious $$$. Go to the Texas Roadhouse if youre up that way. This place? Unless you like pretty buildings, its a pass.

Very disappointing and expensive New Year EVE at the Buckeye Roadhouse! If they were not staffed to handle it, they should have cancelled the reservation and close for the night.We were expecting to have some kind of new year celebration but instead it was a really expensive mediocre meal with barely any service. We were rushed out to order our dinner and all the dinner courses being served at the same time. Our reservation was at 9:30 PM and by 10:30 PM, we were left all alone in the restaurant without even a waiter to check on us. The New Year celebration being advertise with special menu was nothing but a really expensive flop. For over $200 per person, you would at least expect some kind higher end service.

They have a nice full service bar and a good wine list. Our waiter was knowledgable enough to recommend a beautiful wine to complement my entree`. Used to go there all the time quite a few years ago and always enjoyed it and just revisited last week. Im afraid the food has gotten rather undistinguished. I certainly didnt enjoy what I ordered which was the brisket, and my friends orders of the scallops and cheeseburger didnt look much better. The margarita I had was good but perhaps I should have stuck with the drinks and maybe ordered from the appetizers which sounded better.

We ordered meals to go this time. We were told that the pickup would be ready in 30 minutes from our phone call. One hour, and 30 minutes after we arrived, the meals were still not ready and the worst part of this was that the hostess totally ignored us and appeared to be more concerned with conversations with her associates. Not a great way to treat very long term customers, our any customer. It seems that a fresh customer relations talk should be given by management. But, the meals were are good as always, once eaten.

Only put four stars instead of five because the parking is atrocious (valet or a hard-to-access lot) And the access ramp to the front door is very narrow and clogs up easily from foot traffic with anyone else on it at all. Our family used to love this place. We dearly loved the food, the ambiance and the service and used to come up with excuses to go here. But sadly, all of that has changed.The Service: The last two times we went, the service was horrible. The waitress was pushy, impatient and rude from the moment we sat down. We let it slide and figured the waitress must be having a bad day. But the next (and last) time we went, the service was the same. We had a different waitress this time, but she had the same attitude. We were celebrating my late grandfathers birthday and didnt want to have it ruined like before, so we requested another waitress. It seems they are adopting a trend of stuffy, rude customer service and the stress of having to deal with that isnt worth it.The Food: Our absolute favorites were the Oysters Bingo and the Smoked Beef Brisket. Thankfully, the Oysters Bingo stayed the same, but the Smoked Beef Brisket has drastically changed. In the past, whenever we ordered the brisket, the meat was tender and buttery. It was smothered in a delicious savory sauce and each bite would melt in your mouth. Thinking about that version of the dish still makes my mouth water.But the last time we went, we ordered the same dish and were presented with a cheap thin steak piece that was bland and covered with a brown sauce that tasted nothing like what we had before. We couldnt believe it. So we asked the waitress if the chef had changed and she said that it was the same chef and the same recipe, which left us wondering what happened. That same night, we ordered a few other of our favorite dishes like the Braised Lamb Shank and the Bacon Wrapped Petit Filet Mignon. We are sad to say, their portions have shrunk significantly and we were left hungry. Something seems to have gone terribly wrong with the quality and quantity of their food! As former loyal patrons, we feel really let down.For the same price range, you can go to a number of restaurants in Marin that offer better food and better service. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with rude staff and disappointing food.

We decided on a whim to eat at the Roadhouse - an establishment that has been around since 1937. To offer some ambiance, we did not visit the dining area, yet quickly and luckily obtained a booth in the bar. The setting is dark wood paneling, soft lighting, and one small flat panel television, over the right side of the bar, with college football showing. The wine list is impressive, the beer list is excellent (I had a local Pilsner), and the menu is an outstanding selection of Western European Public House food with a wonderful focus on French Provincial ingredients and flavoring. We shared the Dungeness crab croquettes and the butter lettuce salad (our waiter was kind enough to serve the half salads on two plates). My date had the butternut squash and ricotta ravioli and I had the roasted lamb shank. Presentation, preparation, and taste all outstanding. Finally, our waiter Anthony! A perfect gentleman with a wonderful French accent. Anthony was patient, attentive, allowed us all the time we required to relax and enjoy, and is an artist with the beer and wine list. The takeaway was the worst takeaway that I have ever had - the portions were so small for the sides and the ribs were so tough - everything seemed ice cold and I even ordered a slice of cake and it wasnt even in the bag when I got home. My husbands brisket was nicely done but its sauce lacked any interest. For the price you pay, plates should come with a few vegetables -- I found that annoying. I liked the wine, though it was very high in alcohol. Overall, not a bad choice but a few minor changes would have improved the meal enormously.

Used to be our favorite place to go when we lived in Marin. excellent service (one time I was trying to get some ketchup out, this gentleman who wasnt our server, went to kitchen, brought a butter knife to get ketchup out for me), some really good stiff drinks (martinis are good) and excellent menu. Sunday brunch what a delight! Five different dishes 5 great meals. I personally think that the Huevos Rancheros were the best, but others ones that they choose well. Pretty sure you cannot go wrong. This filet tastes like generic on-sale steaks from a grocery chain, its tough and has no flavor. This is ABSOLUTELY abysmal and maybe they do better in person but my to-go order was worse than a $15 steak from Texas Roadhouse. This place is an embarrassment and owes me $90 - 60 for the terrible price itself and 30 for having to eat it.

The Buckeye is a wonderful place to go and celebrate whatever youd like to celebrate- even if its as mundane as getting off of work and needing to have a cocktail at the bar. The food there is beyond amazing, the cocktail selection is trendy, and the service at the Buckeye is truly of a top-notch caliber - executed by some of the best people working within the restaurant business. Sit at the bar if you can. Hopefully Bryan will be there to greet you with a zesty gin martini. Buckeye is straddled right side of the hwy, parking is best between crowds of elders for lunch and dinner. This place is a landmark in the marin county. There is a valet service in front (dont forget to tip the guys, as there is no charge for parking). Make reservations. Otherwise, the you may need to wait a while. Great place for special occasions, a date, etc. The food is excellent. The place is very comfortable and inviting. The service is great. Over the years Buckeye has been one of my all-time favorites. I have always had a great lunch, casual dinner with friends, special celebration dinners, you name it.Last week we went for a late Valentines Day date (a week post holiday) with reservation. Upon our 7pm arrival we were promptly greeted in the parking area by the valet and off we went. There were several people waiting for tables as we walked in and it was quite loud. Not an available table in the place as I overheard the wait was 2+ hours.We were shown to our table, but werent quite sure which person who had come to the table was actually our server. When we asked the gal who was standing at the table if she wouId be our server she seemed insulted/offended.Maybe there was another term she preferred we use, I am not sure but from that point forward we felt like we were bothering her and the exchange each time we spoke was uncomfortable.We ended up leaving drinks behind and taking our food to go.Had it not been so busy I would have asked to be moved to another section, or for a new server. This restaurant has a great reputation for delicious food and typically good service. I am not sure what happened last week but I dont think Im willing to drop another $150+ to find out.What a bummer! Those oysters...5⭐

It was okay, but it really wasnt cooked as expertly as Id expect for the price - no caramelization on the outside, and the cut I got was somewhat gristly.Dessert on the other hand was fantastic - Im still seeing the smores pie in my dreams.For what we paid for dinner, I dont think Id go back.

Rare to Medium Rare came out well done, last time, and a table of 3 steaks and one fish, all were MR with zero pink in them. These are Fridays and Saturdays too, so their A-team must be working. I am not sure whats going on there, but its frustrating. So back to the lower priced meals, or a bar table littered with endless starters... we love all those apps!

Buckeyes looked nice with a great atmosphere when we walked in but we were very disappointed when we were told the kitchen had closed early. It was 10:15pm and the kitchen was posted to be open till 11pm. And it was Friday night! The hostess said it was because it was slow but the barroom had at least 10 people in it. We drove quite a way to eat here...not serving food during the posted hours for a place of this caliber is very bad business in my opinion.

This place is great, but make reservations or forget it. First time there I had the brisket and it was phenomenal, this time just good. Wife had the filet and temp was perfect, but over charred. Will definitely be coming back, with reservations.
