This is a nice Korean BBQ with traditional Korean foods. Great service. Clean restaurant. Good food. The staff are friendly and attentive. The portions of food are generous. While not the best Korean food I’ve had, it is very good, and I would not hesitate to return.

I had an incredibly enjoyable experience at one of San Diegos finest Korean BBQ restaurants. The menu not only offers seriously super delicious BBQ options but also a variety of other outstanding dishes. I was so immersed in the delightful flavors that I forgot to capture many photos of the mouthwatering dishes.I savored marinated beef ribs, cold noodles, and steamed egg in a stone bowl – each dish was beyond delicious. The attentive servers added to the positive experience, displaying genuine sweetness and kindness. They checked on us with great care, a gesture I truly appreciated.The restaurant boasts a spacious parking lot illuminated by super bright lights at night. The clean and recently renovated bathroom further contributed to the overall positive impression. I wholeheartedly love this place and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Korean culinary experience.

Parking is hard to find during rush hours and watch out for parking spots that are motel-only (its right beside it).The decor is very plain, 90s brown tones and red carpeting with tile, and the tables are semi private.We always get the beef galbi combo with the tofu stew, and its absolutely delicious. The stew especially, has some small bits of seafood in it that put it over the top for me. All of the sides (refillable ) that come with the main meal are also delicious and well put together - theres some pickled, umami, plain, crunchy and sweet offerings so youll be sure to find something you like.The service is prompt and courteous and we had no complaints in that department. This is one of our go-tos when were craving Korean. Give it a try, and it might become yours too!

Out of all of the Korean BBQ places Ive been to, this was probably the worst. There were 6 of us eating there for lunch. One of us never had kbbq before. We ordered off of the C menu for lunch, ($30 a person all you can eat). First we ordered beef brisket and balgogi, and then we asked the waitress for rice paper. She said how many, we said 6 because there were 6 of us. Then she replied we cant order that many because there is a limit.If you go to any other kbbq place with 6 people, shouldnt everyone get a plate of rice paper? She came back and brought out 3 plates of rice paper.. we had to share and split the three small plates of rice paper between the 6 of us.. we then ran out and had to use the pickled radish as rice paper..Also, when cooking the meats, the grill splattered oil and started popping near us, splashing us with hot oil .. they also never changed our grill after it was really dark and black..Also, we heard the waiter /hostess yelling at a customer really loudly telling him to back away.. we dont know the whole story, but the whole restaurant and every customer seemed threatened and on guard.Was not a good experience with subpar service.They never refilled our waters or gave us straws either, with their greasy oily meats.. I dont know how they are still in business operating like this.

Recently visited after the renovations and it was excellent. Fast service. Good food. Multiple staff checked on us frequently, which was very appreciated. I just wish the fish cakes were included in the banchan sides like the old menu. This is our favorite KBBQ restaurant.

It was mediocre at best. My son wanted Korean BBQ for his birthday. The waiter was very helpful and patient as the six of us tried to figure out what to order. The last time we went there was over 10 years ago and they didnt offer all you can eat back then. Maybe theyve chosen quantity over quality but the meat was just ok. My son wanted to do all you can eat so thats what we ordered - there are three different types, we got the least expensive one at $29.99. honestly I would have much rather gone to Little Sakana in Mira Mesa for sushi buffet for that price. Three stars because the waiter was great but we probably wont be going back there.

This KBBQ spot is a hidden gem. Seriously its pretty hidden, I missed the turn into this place because its located next to a merge lane right next to a freeway.They take reservations through their website. This is a spacious restaurant with lots of tables. I didnt notice wait on a Saturday night. I loved that the booths were spacious. At first we were confused why our server wasnt visiting us, but there is a button at each table when you need something. Service was really quick once we realized theres a call button. The ladies here are so friendly. Also plenty of parking here!We did the C menu ($30). Serving sizes here are small, but it helps with not over-ordering and feeling too full at the end. The meat is a lot higher quality than other KBBQ spots Ive been to. No frozen meat. Favorites were the beef belly, brisket, and the rib fingers. I wasnt a fan of most of the banchan but the meat quality made up for it! Their grills cook the meat better than the usual steel ones you see, and they dont burn out as quick.This might be my new favorite place to get KBBQ in San Diego, I highly recommend checking it out!

Enjoyed it as always. It had been over 3 years since Id been back and things have changed! They have upgraded options to included a all-you-can-eat option!There is a $30, $35 and $40 level. The $30 and $40 option per person also includes shrimp along with meat. Not all types of meat are available on these specials, so ask if you care. I didnt try it, but next time well take a stab at it. I dont believe booths are available to the all u can eat people also as they screened us upon arrival. But the service quick and friendly and the meat and prawns were tasty.

I’m reviewing cold noodle (냉면). Cold noodle is better than spicy cold noodle. The spicy cold noodle’s sauce was so-so and I recommend the regular version here. I like the noodles; they’re chewy and thin. The short ribs was ok.Beef short ribs soup wasn’t as good as last time. It could be one off this time.

My favorite BBQ place in San Diego. The meat quality is good and high, I love beef brisket the most, and it’s soft and tender. I also love the steam egg and bean soup.price is ok for 2 people to order a combo.Environment is spacious and clean, and I never have to wait for a seat when I eating here. What’s more, when eating there, they don’t have too much lampblack.One thing about the waitress is that they help us to grill the meat, but they cook too fast. What happens is that our speed of eating can’t catch up their grilling speed.😹😹

This is personally my favorite K BBQ spot. My girlfriend and I come here as often as we can afford. I recommend the marinated pork neck and the sliced brisket. Ridiculously delicious. Take care and enjoy.

Delicious cuts of meat! We came in a Saturday afternoon and got the C menu, the prices have gone up do to Covid which is understandable they had a sign explaining and thanking their costumers for their loyalty which I thought was super thoughtful.Why only four stars and not five? Well we waited ten minutes until the host came up front. The host was also one of two servers so they were understaffed. Waiting ten minutes to get the sides and water after being seated and kept having to ask for the same things over and over again. We pressed the button on the table but no one ever showed up when we used it. Overall the food was great like a good kbbq should be.

By far the best Korean BBQ I ever had in San Diego! Quality meat, amazing service, even the banchan (side dishes) tasted better.So, my friends and I ordered Combo 3 which had the brisket, rib eye, pork belly, fresh & marinated short ribs, marinated rib meat, and shrimp. It even came with steamed egg and tofu soup. The egg was fluffier and the tofu soup was spicier. The short rib will melt in your mouth. I love how they constantly checked on the table and helped cut the meat for us.Will definitely take other friends here because I know they will appreciate the food.

I did all you can eat B course, and I love Ji-mul-ruk, and marinated kal-bi! The garlic pork belly was not that great, but their hang-Jung-sal was good! Their side dish such as raddish, rice wrap, and corn cheese was pretty good! I like that side dish order comes one person portion size, otherwise it would be too much to eat when I am doing all you can eat. Their atmosphere is also good, feels like Korean restaurant! I would like to bring my friends over next time!

Do not come here if you are not hungry. On the other hand, if you are, then definitely come here. We ordered the marinated #1. Which includes many delicious sides and 4 different meats.Some of the sides included, kimchi, fish cake, garlic bok Choi, pickled egg plant, and a few others that I can’t remember. All of them were tasty. The meat was well marinated. There was plenty of servers coming around to help you BBQ. This was our first experience at a Korea BBQ and felt that with the help they gave us we were able to suffice. We also ordered traditional Korean wine which was a little sweet then saki.We came on a Sunday around 5pm. Not going to lie the food is delicious however they’re getting a 2 star from me. They were slow to bring out the sides and the meats but that didn’t really bother me. The thing that really bugged me about this place was that one of the waitresses followed us to the restroom and pressed us about the tip. First of all, the waitress that came to complain about the tip didn’t serve us or didn’t interact once with us. We personally tipped cash to the waitress who served us from the start BEFORE HEADING TO THE RESTROOM. If it’s really an issue how come they just don’t include the tip on the bill? I always have a habit to tip personally so this other waitress coming at me is insane. Rude people. Felt offended and creeped out. Never coming here again.

The meat was definitely tender.That said I still rather go for some good all you can eat places because for some cuts of meat the difference can be negligible.The quality and variety of the banchan here is good. I especially enjoy the marinated tofu.SERVICEHere they grill all the items for you. I personally rather grill everything myself because that makes the experience more fun. But of course that is my own preference. I can imagine other customers enjoy and appreciate that level of service.The service here is good. Dined here with family and food was good but service was poor and slow. They had quite a bit of staff on board so it couldn’t be slow service due to shortage of staff. The servers we had were rude as well. It’s like they get annoyed when you flag them down to request for more meat or more rice or more of anything period. First and foremost, I shouldn’t have to flag anyone down if they were coming around often to check to see if everything was okay or if anything else was needed.There’s always room for improvement Buga Korean BBQ Restaurant. The service is slow，we press the bell for like a thousand time！This place has 2 hours limit time to order，but we are waiting for an hour（the dish are also seldomly）. We picked the cheapest menu, $29.99 and $16.99 for kids 4-9 😋 while there are other cheaper locations, the menu is a tad different from others In the area but has staples like bulgolgi and chadol. Buga Korean BBQ was purely delicious. I went with a friend from seeing such high ratings on Yelp and was sat immediately when other places had waits over an hour. We were surely not disappointed with our experience. Our server helping us out was Dylan, he was efficient and kind to bring out our order as well as suggest good recommendations. They have 3 tiers of various all-you-can-eat meat selections you can choose from varying from $30 - $50 per person. We found that the grill flame can be sensitive and watching over the meats to cook them evenly was crucial in making sure they were fully cooked well. We ordered: 1. Spicy Pork Bulgogi 2. Marinated Shrimp 3. Spicy BBQ Chicken 4. Spicy Beef Bulgogi. They were all delicious options, especially the shrimp which does come with a shell but is easily removed once cooked and has a delicious marinated flavor. There was a great selection to choose from as well as a great ambience. You don’t get fine service like that from just any Korean BBQ restaurant! Thanks for the service and delightful Dinner.

This place is amazing. We did a last minute birthday dinner for 5 and we had no more then a 20 min wait for a table without any reservations! They have the cutest outdoor setup towards the front and back of the restaurant equiped with portable heaters so its super comfy. Their customer service and attentiveness was on point without needing the push service button (normally avail for restaurant dine-in at each table). Their waitresses are so willingly to bring you anything your heart desires from the menu. Our group will definitely be returning!!!!

This Korean restaurant is not located in Convoy street where a lot of Asian restaurants are packed and which is notorious for parking. Buga has plenty of parking spaces and that is my favorite thing.The food is good and the portions are generous. Although this restaurant has a specialty in bbq, there are a lot of other menus too.

We kept getting service from atleast 4 different servers at this point. I’ll have you know that we were mindful. We understand there is restaurants with not that many workers. Around the first of October my daughter and I visited San Diego. Next door to our motel was the Buga Korean BBQ. Having recently been watching K-dramas this year I was fascinated by the characters who would often eat at their local BBQ. This was our very first experience at a Korean BBQ. We walked over, and didnt have to wait long to be escorted to our table. Im glad we went early because the restaurant filled up pretty fast. We explained that this was a first for us and so our waitress graciously made a few suggestions that would give us a wide experience. She answered every question we had as she cooked the meat for us. It was a fantastic experience and I can honestly say that there was not a scrap of food left except a little piece of onion when we were done. Our favorite parts? Every time I go to a new Korean restaurant I always try their bibimbap. I got their hot version which is great however it felt like they skimpped on the meat and my friend who got the same dish agreed. My husband and I went for dinner and bought a bottle of wine that we could not finish. When we were about to leave, they told us that we couldnt take the unfinished wine with us. We told them that according to California Vehicle Law 23225 the opened bottle can be legally stored in the trunk. Bad customer service they told me that they didn’t like my tattoos then proceeded to make me wait 20 minutes for water and when I asked them they said (hold on I told u to wait ) I couldn’t believe it they stared at me while I was eating like I was going to steal something and told me that I eat to slow . And to top it off when I went to pay they told me that I’m a fake Mexican and go back to my country ..... keep in mind that I was born and raised here I speak no sort of Spanish and I’m not even Mexican I’m mixed so I just thought I’d let everyone know that this place is garbage
