A truly unsuspecting AYCE kbbq gem in the area. Everytime I go theres no wait, the service is prompt and frequent. Free soda with yelp check in and reasonable prices with good selection of choices. The side dishes are all legit and offer a variety to try. I loveeee eating beef belly with a bit of the salad and radish wrap, so so so delicious. The meats also dont have a tap water taste like other places.Ive been to all the other ayce kbbq in the area, but always find myself coming back to this place. Did I mention theres also free thrifty ice cream? Highly recommend coming here. Only con that I can say is its not going to be a place to go to for large parties. Only booth seats available for a maximum party of 4 adults or so.

My kids and I love this place. What made us continue to come was their popsicles. Which after our second visit disappeared or should I say they switched over to ice cream instead. The only kbbq that has matcha ice cream(yummy) my favorite and of the things I look forward when planning a date with my kids here. Weve made it a thing to come once a month because my son enjoys it very much and well we all do but this is kinda like his favorite from all the ones we have been to. Service has always been on point! Ambience is cool they have kpop playing on tvs and is not loud, you can actually have a conversation with your group without having to shout or scream. Love it!!!

I visited this restaurant sunday. I poured the sauce after ordering, but the bottle burst and the clothes and table were ruined. There were two people on the table in front of us and three servers right behind us, but they all just passed by and I cleaned it up myself, but I didnt mind. Long after the second order, no food came out, and after three re-requests, two plates of food came out. I ate one and the server came and took the other one saying it was another table food, and I gave it back to him to give to another table. After talking to the manager, I asked her to call the boss, and the young woman server next to me said that the boss was working in the kitchen and was busy, so I couldn’t talk to her. Then I talked to the boss. The boss said that even if it went to the customer’s table, it could go to another table if we didn’t touch it. the meat was on our table for over five minutes. It completely ruined our meal today. It was the worst. The service was very bad.

I had a pretty good experience at this restaurant. Id say about a 4.5. The prices were very affordable and the staff was good. Kim was very attentive. She even joked around with our table, which made it even a better experience.In the end, we were even provided with free ice cream and 10% off our purchase, which was an unexpected bonus. There was a good selection of meat, and we ordered mostly beef belly, pork jowl, and pork belly. They were all good. However, I wish they had beef tongue.They had a variety of side dishes. Kimchi was a little too fermented for me. Also, the pickled radish was a little too thick and sour imo.. however, the japche and Mac dishes were fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious, budget-friendly meal.

The place has undergone ownership changes, but hopefully current owner stays. The AYCE korean bbq joint brings the meat to your table.much like Gen. Service is great, with everyone seeming to cover for each other. Kpop is playing on a couple of TVs and there is a functional indoor moat! Not the quietest place for a romantic dinner, but great for cheat nights on your diet.

If you havent already been here, you must go. The staff is super friendly. All the food is so delicious. They dont seem to hurry you up. My favorite is the spicy pork bulgogi and the garlic pork belly. The steam egg is a must and miso soup, too. I love that they have the sauce at the table and are very attentive if you need more steam rice or vegetables. Ive been here about ten times. And they have complimentary ice cream after.

Ended up coming here after another restaurant canceled our reservation. We arrived at 8:10pm and thankfully they were still willing to serve us.Due to the updated C19 restrictions regarding indoor dining, we were seated in their newly created outdoor patio. It was a very nice set up, well lit, and they had outdoor heaters to help keep a warmer setting. I was also impressed at how they were able to still use table top grills for cooking our own food.The servers were very attentive, very nice, and even offered suggestions of different meats to try.I was disappointed and a little annoyed at our previous reservation being canceled and in the end grateful that it ended up that way as it was a really great experience. And we realized we enjoyed the atmosphere and energy of this place more. How does it get any better!?!We will definitely return here!😊

After my fiancé and I’s favorite KBBQ place shut down we decided to give Bullgogi a shot. We had no expectations before dining, only empty stomachs & hoping the food was good. Both items were crossed off as the restaurant had great options to choose from that satisfied our hunger. Even after we finished our meal & left all we could think about how good the food was. It was very frustrating because we went on Fathers Day. It was supposed to be a special BBQ treat to the special man of our house but our experience was not pleasant at all. First, after we got our orders, we were ready & excited to start grilling but there were no BBQ thongs on our table. We kept calling our server so we can start cooking but we had to wait for a while until he gets back to our table. We didnt even have table napkins, we also had to keep asking for the appetizer while waiting since they only serve so little at a time, it was supposed to be all-you-can-eat. We can tell our server was overwhelmed. Another thing was, the place is so dark that we had a hard time seeing our food while we were grilling, we cant tell if the meat is already cooked. They should brighten the place so customers can see the food while theyre grilling or eating. My suggestion is they could have prepared the table ready ahead of time and placed everything that was needed on the table before seating customers so it could have been a smooth flow and customers can enjoy their visit. The worst part was, we kept waiting for the server to check on us & when he was back he kept forgetting about our requests. The server was a bit older but he was very nice and helpful, we truly understand his capacity for serving especially on busy days. This restaurant should put a younger server especially when its a busy day so this business will foster for more years to come. Overall, they just need to be mindful of the to-dos, especially on busy days. Not sure if we will come back. You can make it better guys!

This is my go-to Korean BBQ place because its all you can eat and its buffet style. I love being able to get up and grab my own food without having to flag down a server for more meat or side dishes.They have beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, muscles, squid, and a variety of other protein for you to grill up along with a large selection of side dishes and some prepared food.

Majestic place. Had the Korea House B.B.Q Buffets tray for 125. Lots and lots of smoked meat and sides. We easily fed 4 adults and 3 kids. Meat is so tender and flavor, mmm that flavor os divine. Get your own food cook it and eat it. I never had any problems and lunch ends at 3 p.m. so as long as you arrive before 3 you can get the lunch price

It was sooo slowww, they didnt have enough servers for all the tables they had. They kept letting people but clearly didnt have enough staff to service. They shouldve hire more servers or limit the number of tables can dine in. We waited a while to even order food and no one came back to us after the 1st order, we tried to call but got ignored. And the portions were too much, as though they put a lot on the plate so they dont have to go back and forth, thats nice for a table of 4 but just the 2 of us, we got tired of just 1 kind of meat. The food was good though, well probably try to come back another time when it isnt so crazy.

STAY AWAY.We dined here Sunday 11/6 around 7:45pm.If I could give zero stars I would!!!At first we were happy with the food and had absolutely no complaints. We had been seated as soon as we walked in it was not busy at all. We had to keep asking for water and they would forget to bring it to us which was annoying. The man who was bussing tables we had to ask him and he immediately brought us water. When we were done eating waitress asked us from super far away if we were done which was super awkward because we couldnt hear her and she approached us and asked us again. Once we received the check we were still picking at our food and we had a child with us who was still eating. She approached us 5 times looking for the check without saying anything which made us feel like she was rushing us out. When we finally were ready to leave she grabbed check and went to the front to ring us up. We did half card and half cash. My friend who paid card was putting how much she wanted to tip and once she handed the receipt back the waitress asked if that was how much we were really tipping. She was really hard to understand so we kept having to ask her what she was asking. She kept saying service bad? Tip 10%. After all that I was putting my change in my wallet and she was staring at my wallet and my cash the entire time. It was so unbelievably uncomfortable. I’m still in shock and disgusted by the behavior.I have never been asked why Im tipping what Im tipping. It was very uncomfortable and super unprofessional. Needless to say we will never return here.

Absolutely my worst experience at a Korean BBQ place. The service was neglectful. She sat us down and never came back. We made eye contact multiple times and even called for her so we could order more. We sat at an empty table for about 5 minutes. She kept looking at us and not coming over despite our attempts to get her to come over.On top of the worst service, the food was subpar. Each meat was the worst cut, and in gigantic pieces slopped onto the plate. They only had 12 choices, gave very small portions of sides (half or less of the small bowl usually given). The salad had no dressing at all. Thank goodness we only got water because that was never refilled.When we finally were done waiting, we walked up to the register where the lady continued to ignore us. She finally gave us the check without a single word. At this point, Im pretty sure she was just being racist or discriminatory.100% Do NOT recommend. Will never return. I highly suggest you to drive down the street in any direction for any other kbbq establishment.

The new management made the menu a lot bigger. The meats, chicken, and seafood were the only thing my wife and I really enjoyed. Get rid of the fried stuff, its not great and bring back the glass noodles. Might also want to rework your miso soup recipe because it tasted terrible. The service was just like the miso soup. They took way too long to even bring us water. This was me 🙋🏽 waving for 20 min waiting for someone to get us food. We can understand it was busy but the table in front of us was getting served amazingly (the busser guys checked on us way more...maybe because we were fellow Latinos). My Family and I would frequently go to this place Korea house BBQ before it became bullgogi Kbbq and we never had any issues with the service, this Saturday we decided to try out the new and improved restaurant, and everything was bad, from the moment you come in, they have no organization as to how or when you will be seated, it took nearly 20 min for anyone to acknowledge us in the lobby area, when we finally sat down our server was apparently having a bad day, he would ignore us of our food requests, they didnt have the drinks we wanted, multiple times we asked to get more sides just to get ignored some more, the food was ok, not much to say about average food, but the service we received alone was enough for us never to return to this place, which is a shame really, we were excited to try out the new place, needless to say, it didnt live up to the expectation, a restaurant isnt just about the food but the service you are provided, Time to try a different place.

DIY Korean barbecue, buffet style. While their selection of meat isnt as big the standard AYCE place, this spot still offers a good variety of quality meats and seafood for grilling.No more tiny little plates of sides or meager portions of meat. Just walk up to the buffet and load up your plate with as much kimchi, rice paper (rolling paper?) and pork belly as your heart desires.And of course, free ice cream. This place used to be my go to KBBQ buffet for 20 plus years. Its all you can eat but not a buffet anymore. The change is not for the better. My last visit was just OK but a little disappointing. The side dishes were subpar. The kimchi was over ripe and was not a good kimchi to start. The cucumber kimchi was almost too old to eat, not very good. You have to ask for the sesame oil/salt dip which goes best with the brisket. The kalbi at least was good. They did not have enough servers so the one guy server was running the whole time, trying his best to keep up with all the requests. The dessert option is fresh fruit, which is just orange slices and Popsicles. We realized also that the only Koreans at the restaurant besides the ones at our table was the manager/possible owner lady who was helping the server. Sadly, I probably wont go back, especially since its not a buffet. I will have to find another one in the area that is buffet. Too bad, I used to come here in the 90s after going to Disneyland.

Their meat is marinated perfect so when you cook it it brings great flavor to your mouth. I really liked this place, good service and clean eating area. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is the selection of variety in their salad bar and meats bar left me with wanting more choices. I went for a late lunch during the week and the place wasnt crowded. Prices arent bad, $14 for my lunch and dinner is $23.

Let me get started we were having a good time with the family and all and at the end they charged us like 120 dollars including a tip. We were cool with that but after we left the lady who was helping or one of the ladies that was helping us still had the Audacity or requesting a tip. She said we had to leave a 15 or 50 percent of a tip. I told her you had charged us 9 dollars for a tip and ur still asking for a tip?? I think even though you get a service you have to be ok with the service you get and of course depends on you if you want to leave a tip. But requiring a tip? Sorry but that’s wrong and I’m being the most respectful way as possible. Not racist or anything as well. I love Korean bbq and love the people but I’m just being honest about this. Thank you guys.

Me and my family went to go eat there at first we got good service. After a while me and my family saw that the gas of the stove was lower than before. Ive visited this place for many years to dine in with my family and it never fails to impress me with the wide variety of raw meats and seafood they offer. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfy, and I love the fact that you can easily grill everything yourself at your table. Always great kimchi, hot sauce, and rice paper.Update: This is now under new management, Bullgogi Korean BBQ. Pork Belly was delicious, thick juicy cuts. Stablishment now has TVs, 3 on each side. The food is delivered to your table, 2 options per order. It is no longer Buffet. Attention to customer was great, the music was a bit loud, but overall it loooks a bit more modern and appealing. The sides are salad (very delicious dressing), kimchi (i do suspect it is not home made), cucumbers, grilled tofu, and the stringy noodles. There is only one option of hot sauce and it was very thick. The sweet pork was one of our favorites before and it did not dissapoint, however, it was less sweet than before.Overall, it is a big atmosphere change from previous setup but we still loved it. Will be back. Oh, and I think theres a place for karaoke? Not sure.

For someone who can eat a lot and does multiple servings, twice is not enough. So part of my meats had to be cooked on a black dirty grill which brought the whole experience down. Best BBQ Buffet. Lots of variety of meat and seafood to choose from. Lots of yummy side dishes. Their customer service is friendly and well trained -they are awesome. The best part about this restaurant, though, is that you can go pick and choose your choices of meat and/or side dishes you want to serve yourself. Its not like other places where you wait for the waiter to serve you the restaurants side dishes, and than you pick your meat and you wait for the waiter to bring you the meat. By waiting on the waiter, sometimes you might get a lot of the same meat and you dont have anymore room in your stomach for different kinds of meat. Some places charge for wasted food. This place does, too, but thats the good thing about YOU, as a customer, having the choice to make your own decision on how much you want and what it is you want to get. I love the freedom of choice!! Their food is great. Ive gone back over and over again to this place whenever I visit Garden Grove, CA!

The place itself-the location is descent, but is missing Music and TV entertaining, so quiet. The service is bad, not once did they offered to change our grill. And they were nowhere around to be called upon. The lady would show up randomly and not when needed. The food was not sliced or chopped, huge pieces of bulbogi. The lady just wanted to place the meats down, she hovered them above our Side dishes, we had to make space fast cuz it seemed she just wanted to place them down fast, anywhere, I did not appreciate that with the meat juice dripping. The noodles and salad are good. We ran out of water and nobody ever refilled, and like I said, they were nowhere around. I think there was only 1 lady running the whole show. And some guy on a bike came inside the restaurant, I don’t know if he was a worker or not. For $23.99 I expected more, it should be $17.99 . The food is so limited, really not even egg soup. The lady is not the friendliest, or welcoming, definitely shouldn’t be the one to greet people at all. Slow service. There are only three servers for the entire restaurant. This restaurant is buffet style but servers take food orders and bring them to the table. I appreciate that there are some Korean buffet place like Korea House BBQ Buffet still operating. We wanted meat and we were granted with our wishes. Their short ribs were excellent and even their chicken gizzard was good. I know I will bring this out repeatedly on this review but there was a sign with empty tray all night long that confirms the existence of oysters. For two solid hours of eating I have not seen them once they refilled the empty tray of oysters. I was even recommend by my friend who raved about their oysters so I was especially more disappointed. Yes, I am bitter. Other wise, I would of gladly give this joint 4 stars. Their neng myun, which the noodle were so tangled for sitting dry, was surprisingly good.

KHBBQ has gone down in quality from a 5 to a 3 now, in all of the years we have been coming here. Where the quality lacks is in the selection(s) of meat, seafood, vegetables, and salads to choose from. It appears to us as if they have taken out a LG serving station and replaced it with seating. However, the KHBBQ still has excellent customer service, is handicapped accessible, and offers the standard Korean BBQ experience. You choose the meats and veggies you wish to grill, take it back to your table, and grill on the enclosed grill. The server will come back and help you with this. I always dislike their help, as Im worried about cross-contamination as I have a weakened immune system. The server uses the same pair of grilling scissors (each table gets its own pair) to cut the meat. I didnt eat any more meat after we had just started grilling the chicken, as the server cut the raw chicken with those scissors, and then cut the pork belly and beef that was grilling. My husband didnt get sick, but I was worried that he would after the server used those scissors on the chicken, then the beef. Yikes! Regardless, this was one of our early K-BBQ find, and we hope they readd the missing food station and expand their offerings. As of now, theyve become just another run-of-the-mill K-BBQ place. Handicapped accessible, beer and wine, credit cards. Located in a busy strip mall with difficult parking at peak times.

Ive been dining at the Korea House BBQ Buffet for at least 30 years. I was introduced to it by Korean American friends who lived very nearby. It is my go to place for out-of-town guests who cant find Korean food at home. I prefer buffet style for Korean bbq for the variety it allows although I mostly eat kalbi. The service is always courteous and some of the staff I remember from decades ago (and they recognize me). There are a dozen or so different proteins from land and sea to choose from, many marinated. An ample, very fresh, Western salad bar is flanked by typical Korean pickled/marinated veggies: kimchi, namul (spinach & bean sprouts), daikon and lettuce for wrapping meat the traditional way. In addition theres fried rice, and some tempura style vegetables: onions, pumpkin, carrots and etc. Of course there are numerous condiments, and on request, white rice and ice cream.I would have given it 5 stars but over the years the selection & quality have diminished a bit, probably to keep prices down. In the past there were raw oysters for grilling, raw salmon sushi, and the chap chae had a little meat, shiitake mushroom slivers and more vegetables in general.
