Good ambience, good Burmese food. Their tea leaf salad, and tofu veggie dishes are rock solid. Their chicken dishes could use more work though, but I’d def come back for their tea leaf and tofu dishes. Would recommend overall! It gets quite busy during the evenings, so I’d recommend reserving ahead of time.

In LOVE with Burma Love! There’s a reason this restaurant has expanded to several locations and with more casual (Burma Superstar) and more upscale (Teakwood) versions of the menu. It’s consistently one of my favorite places in SF, with a unique and authentic Burmese menu.If you haven’t tried Burmese food before, I’ve heard it described as a fusion between Thai and Chinese — which I think fits great. The menu is full of curries, noodles, and stir fries, with varying levels of spice. The entrees can get a bit pricey, but it’s clear that the cost is covering high quality ingredients.Favorites from the menu include the chicken curry soup (think a Burmese twist on the classic American soup), the Burmese curry with beef (not too spicy but still full of flavor), and the Eggplant (probably our number one — garlicky, sweet, with a great texture and mouthfeel). The rice is also surprisingly flavorful (opt for the coconut version, as the sweet nuttiness of the coconut milk really adds - unique dimension to the meal). Just be prepared to order it as a side — rice doesn’t come with most of the entrees. The cocktails are a bit underwhelming for the price, but the wine selection is lovely and pairs surprisingly well with the rich dishes.Reservations online are recommended, but they also accept walk-ins — we called two hours before and were able to get a weekday reservation for three, though the restaurant was still completely packed when we got there! This place is clearly a local favorite and one worth coming back to again and again.

Service was solid and most of the food was amazing. We takeout from Burma Love regularly but this was my first time eating in the restaurant. The tea leaf salad, coconut rice, and platha are all must-orders in my opinion. Each are consistently 5/5.The broccoli is also a good way to get some greens in the meal.We deviated from our usual order and tried the pork belly and garlic noodles with shrimp. We were impressed and will be adding them to our rotation, though liked the pork belly over of the garlic noodles.Unfortunately the chicken was over cooked and as a result was not tasty. We’ve ordered this many times and have not had the experience.Starting off with the ginger tea was also nice. It was a little too sweet for my taste but my fiancé enjoyed it.We’ll definitely be back!

The roti paratha and soup were quite good. The stir fry beans and tofu were delicious. The cocktails are an absolute must try!

Ive been a fan of the Burma Club/Love/Superstar family of restaurants since before the pandemic. Theyre one of my top go-tos that I like to take friends to.Service is great, and staff are prepared to recommend what to order and accommodate dietary restrictions. The Laphet (green tea leaf) salad is a must on the menu. They mix it tableside, which provides a creative visual experience that precedes the delicious gustatory experience that follows. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Its rare that everything at one place tastes delicious, but this place is the exception.

First time visiting Burma Love and Im a huge Burmese food fan. Their sambusa soup ( samosa soup ) is out of this world ! After a cold day and a long hike, this soup hit all the right spots in spice, quantity and taste. 10/10 would recommend! We picked paratha and dip and tea leafe salad and spicy noodles with chicken and all items were excellent!

Delicious food and great service. My cousins glass of wine tasted off and they quickly brought out a new bottle and had her taste a new glass to make sure it met her expectations. Definitely gets crowded so recommend getting an early reservation so you dont have to yell to hear eachother!

Overpriced cafeteria lettuce, prison portions, paying 20$ for a salad that small hurt my soul. Chicken was soft and not flavorful. 70$ for two teeny salads and a side of chicken, fool me once.
