Super delicious authentic Thai food! Their Pad Thai Noodles the best! Their Spicy Papaya Lao Style is at the right spice level because we always order very spicy and this is the only place that give the right spice! Love their dessert, Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice and the Curry Salmon Soup too! Cant wait to return to try more dishes and have more of the Pad Thai Noodles!!

Had the BBQ Thai Chicken with Thai Iced Tea, excellent, best thing Ive eaten all week. I will for sure come back and try more things on the menu. Only thing not to my liking was an optional chilli sauce in a small jar, but I was expecting more of a sweeter sauce, which the dish did come with.

Its a cute little place. Friendly enough service (takeout). I had the veggi egg roles and chicken pad Thai. Rolls were very good. The pad Thai had a different flavor.....which I couldnt place. Not a fan. Kinda had almost a fish like odor.After taking a bite of just the chicken...I found the off flavor. Not sure if it was the chicken meat, or it soaked up the seasonings......Ill assume it was the seasoning, given all the positive reviews.....maybe the chicken was near the fish or......

I have been eating here for years. I even buy lunch here for my office frequently. Troy, the owner is always there with a smile and truly takes pride in his restaurant and the food he serves. Its a tiny place that he makes very welcoming. The food is authentic and fresh always. I am vegan with a peanut allergy which Troy never forgets. This is one of my favorite go to restaurants.

Ive driven by this place a few times on my way to jobs. The name always intrigued me and we finally had an opportunity to try it out! There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, so you shouldnt have to worry about having a walk to get there. When we walked in, we were immediately entranced by the cozy feel and ambiance that awaited us. There is not a whole lot of seating available, but it is a small area and they have done the best they can with the space they have. No complaints from us! The owners are a husband and wife and they were both extremely friendly and welcoming. When we looked at the menu, I was very surprised to see how many vegetarian and vegan options they have, so if that is something you are being conscious of, this is a great place for you to check out! I got the drunken noodles and my boyfriend got the Tom Kha in a pot. Getting the soup in the pot was amazing as he was really able to enjoy the soup without rushing so it wouldnt get cold. Its been a constant gripe for him at other places. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and surprisingly light on the stomach, compared to other Thai places we have been before. I ate my entire plate of drunken noodles, and I am notorious for taking half of my plates home with me everywhere we eat, so that gives you an idea of how delicious and light it was. This is very much food that you would expect if someone cooked for you at their home. Its also a very nice touch that they bring out a carafe of water so you dont have to get a refill every few minutes. The only gripe is that they only have soda cans, but thats something that my boyfriend alone is picky about in our circle, but be prepared in case you are expecting to get a soda while you are there. I am very glad that we decided to try it out and this will definitely be a lovely spot that we will be visiting frequently! The food was great, the service was awesome and very friendly, and it was all at a very very reasonable price! We will definitely be back soon!

Delicious food, I tried Mango Chicken Curry (Red curry simmered in coconut milk with chicken, green beans, bell pepper, chili, basil leaves and mango) and sticky rice with mango for dessert. Good prices, excelent service. The place is small and its feel and look is cozy and unique.

This is the very best Thai food in San Diego county - by far!It rivals the food in Thailand and yes, Ive been there.The place is a small but clean and very cozy little restaurant.The owners are extremely friendly and very accommodating.I cant handle a lot of spice but there was a spicy dish I really wanted to try so Troy the owner tweaked it for me and it was just perfect. My kids wont eat vegetables ( :-( ) so Troy removes them for them.My family and I have eaten here many times and eat here at least once a week now...its so darned good! Not only that but the cost is far better than every other Thai food place weve eaten at here in San Diego.Everything is super fresh, the place is cozy and clean, the owners are friendly & accommodating, and the price is excellent.So if you think you have eaten the best Thai food ever, but havent eaten at Busy Bee, then you havent yet tasted the best, and need to try it before too many people find out about it and you cant get in the door.Now for a side note:Before posting this, I read a single bad review about this place - the only 1 star review of all these reviews - and they complained of someone mumbling on the phone and hanging up on them, then some fax machine was all they got upon return calling.The owner Troy had a major medical emergency around the same time that review was posted and he was working when it occurred. He was taken by ambulance and hospitalized for over a month before he returned. It is likely this reviewer called at the time this emergency was ongoing, and if so, then thats not a fair review. I tried to call in a phone order around the same time and got a fax machine. When the place re-opened I asked Troy what happened and he told me he had a heart attack at work. He said they fixed him up and hes back to work and as good as new now.So look at all the other reviews and then go give Busy Bee a try.

Good things come in small spaces! I used to love dining in here, but you can still take home the deliciousness while social distancing is in effect. The menu has been recently updated, and my new favorite is the green curry!! Perfectly balanced heat and flavor. My other go to items are any of the rolls/wraps or the tom kha soup... so good on a rainy winter day. Bring your vegan, veggie, or meat eating friends, theres something for every palette!

This place was my favorite Thai place Ive ever been. If I lived here, I would go here every single day. Service was amazing and quick, and they were so nice there. You could just have a conversation and really have fun with the server. The place is also in a great location, and the restaurant is really cool inside. If you like Thai AT ALL, then head over to Busy B Thai Cafe and you will be hooked.

Really yummy pad thai. I ordered through Postmates for pickup, so I couldnt specify the heat level. Next time Ill make it a little hotter. Picture is after I had been eating it for a bit. I would like more shrimp, but I dont think you can ever have too much shrimp. One good thing is that they dont leave the tails on.

This is my new favorite restaurant in San Diego! Nothing to fancy but it’s just right. It’s very unassuming from the outside, just a small very missable restaurant in El Cajon but the atmosphere inside is what I always hope a restaurant will be... quiet with beautiful soft music playing (I can actually have a conversation with the person I’m with), very attentive friendly service and great food.We went for lunch on a Sunday and there was one couple beside my friend and I and a few people came in and out for pick up orders while we were there. We shared coconut shrimp with this amazing sauce, had some hot mango tea which complemented the meal very well and I had pineapple chicken fried rice which was seasoned very well so that I could taste all the different flavors in the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and recommend it to anyone looking for the hidden gems in San Diego! :)

The restaurant was pretty full, and since it is tiny, we thought first, do we really want to go in. We decided, we are here, so what the hack. Boy, was that a good decision. The food was delicious. We had two starters and two mains. Enough for us. Very inexpensive. I would have eaten more, but there wa no more space. The Owner served us, since the waitress had a ton to do for a big party. I’ve been ordering here since 2016. I’m so happy it continues to exist. It’s a small little restaurant but the taste is exquisite. The prices have gone up a bit but I have allowed myself to justify it for now because of how delicious it is. They have a nice selection of vegan options and they are soooo good! Just went there today and it was sooooo good . portions a little small for the price but it’s very yummy. I have come here twice and both of my curries have been excellent! Today I tried the green with tofu and it was delicious. Its spicy but not nuclear which is good for me, and the texture and blend with the coconut milk is superb. Spring rolls with ginger sauce are bomb too. Great atmosphere, service, and cute little spot; I will be coming back here often.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. They have a delicious dedicated vegan menu and they can make almost anything else vegan if requested. Really nice little place and great service! The best Thai food I’ve had! Would recommend the yellow curry, veggie fried rice, eggplant, and pad see ew although everything is good here. Adding fried tofu takes it further to another level! I see they even added mock meats a while back but I haven tried those yet since I’m hooked on the fried tofu.

Food and service were outstanding. The portions are plentiful and food is tasty, fresh and aesthetically well prepared. It is a small venue, but spacious and clean inside. Great lunch spot for jury duty service (or anytime, but its walking distance to the courthouse so thats an added bonus). I had the yellow curry with tofu and it was delicious. Just the right amount of spiciness. Thai iced tea refreshing and tasty. We have tried many other Thai food competitors but none are anywhere close to the same authenticity or quality. All food from Busy B Thai is consistent, fresh, and to reiterate, AMAZING. Used to eat here semi often about a year ago. Always ordered the same thing, vegan fried pineapple rice and vegan rolls. Ordered for the first time in almost a year tonight, same order. I get home and realized it’s a lot of lettuce that I don’t remember being in there before. Menu doesn’t say lettuce included but definitely couldn’t notice any curry sauce on my dish. Called and informed him I have a bunch of lettuce and no curry in my dish. He states he opened my plate before giving it to me and saw the curry but clearly that’s not true as that’s the 2nd main reason I wanted this dish, 1st is cuz of the pineapple which was hardly any. The man states the cook can sometimes be heavy handed or light handed, I can drive back and grab some curry to add to my meal and never mentioned anything about the lettuce. I just said have a good night sir. Food definitely tasted way different than I was expecting. Never returning again. Tired of giving my money to places who think they can do whatever.

The owner here is super rude and entitled ! Walked in to grab an order and when you walk In the door he takes forever to come to the front so I sat In a chair to wait when he comes up I get up and push in my chair and because it wasn’t perfect aligned how he had it he told me to push it more he doesn’t like them moved. So with my foot I aligned it to how he had and and then he told me I’m kicking his stuff like if I’m a child. I didn’t even grab the order I was so annoyed. If you have a ocd problem and terrible customer service you should hire someone to work the front. I literally live around the corner and my husband and I have supported this business for more than a year now and he has always had terrible customer service. But he’s older so I’ve always let it go but I will never support his business again.

I got the Spicy Noodle dish with tofu from the Vegan side of the menu. Great dish! However, I choked on pepper and was struggling to get it down. The lady just watched me choking and waited for me to speak which of course, I couldnt. I thought it was cruel. If I seen someone choking I wouldnt hesitate to give him/her more water. Im not sure if they were just having a bad day or what. It was on Friday the 7th. Yes it is very small, but we sat at a table and there was only one other person there sitting at the counter. The woman gave us the menus and it was the last time she spoke to us. She was dashing between the kitchen and the register cashing the to-go orders out. She brought the order for the other customer, and when he had 2 others join him they had their drinks ordered and brought to them. We waited an additional 15 minutes after that before I told my husband this was nuts and we left. 20 minutes wasted and they will never see us again. We ended up going up the road to Thai Time.
