Most of the food is amazing and the coffee is good, we loved the cinnamon rolls and the sandwiches! (the bread is soooo good) But I wouldnt recommend the burritos. I got the eggs Benedict burrito, it was really over salted and the most of the potatoes inside were burnt. Had to eat around sections of the burrito, and for $15 a burrito that is a big disappointment. But Ill still be back for the other items, they really are a GREAT addition to the neighborhood. Cant stop telling people about the bread.

Service was great. Food was all cook really well, but it lacked flavor. Even just pepper and salt. Cinnamon roll was also cook perfect but the frosting also had no flavor.

Went for breakfast and was greeted with a very friendly staff. Got really great breakfasts that we took to go. They even gave us a cinnamon roll. It was incredible.Fast and friendly service with good food. And biodegradable containers. Well be back sooner rather than later.

Really very good food. Had a breakfast bowl with chard/kale base. The cut on the vegetables was professional. Omelet on top with corned beef was perfect. Topped with hollandaise sauce that was correct. Simply a fantastic breakfast.I miss the Chill Out Cafe, nothing can replace it, however this is a reasonable substitute. Friday, Saturday and Sunday only . This is good eating!

The staff is so friendly and the food was really yummy. The cinnamon rolls are a must have. The egg Benedict burrito was incredible too. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and the sauce put it over the top. The entire establishment is very clean, cute and fun. Can’t wait to come back for more

INCREDIBLE!! The freshness, flavors, friendliness of staff is fantastic. We came on Saturday and talked about it all day so we went Sunday too !! BEST CINNAMON ROLLS EVER !!! There maybe a line but it’s worth the wait.

Phenomenal breakfast/brunch spot! Cinnamon rolls will not disappoint!! Portions are HUGE and everything is made so fresh and hot. You can tell the biscuits are made from scratch. Breakfast burritos are packed with bacon-they definitely don’t skimp on filling their burritos. Staff is super friendly and service is always quick!

Yumm! Breakfast burritos are soo good (we got the Old Faithful with veggies, and Bee Friendly which was full of curry tofu scramble and crispy potatoes). And the cinnamon rolls!!Outdoor seating, family and small group friendly. Good vegetarian options — solid choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch!

If you’re coming on the weekend, expect it to be packed! Be kind while you wait for some great food from some of the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. The two gentlemen at the window and the woman who runs the counter offer some of the best customer service I have encountered in my 9 years living here. :) also their cinnamon rolls are the sweetest touch!

This restaurant is delicious! The cinnamon rolls and biscuits are everything you’ve ever dreamed of. The Eggs Benedict burrito is so well thought out. All of the staff are very friendly and it’s always fun to chat with Kim while she rings up your order. This is a great addition to Capitola! So glad to have found this gem.

The best breakfast in Santa Cruz, period. I can’t recommend this place enough! The service and quality are so next level. Everyone working here seems so genuinely happy to be working there, and that I so evident in their food. They make their own bread, their own biscuits, their own cinnamon rolls, and they are all to die for. The biscuit sandwiches and quantity of food are very unlike most other place in Santa Cruz. Busy Bee is a family owned restaurant and they sure make you feel like family every time you walk in. An oasis in the Santa Cruz breakfast scene!

The clouds parted and I could hear the angels sing the first time I ate at this establishment. I can honestly say I did not know what true love was until I ate their cinnamon roll. As a man with a child, Im 50/50 on whether i prefer my son or any item on this menu. A quick and easy pick up makes this a go to when Im being yelled at by my baby mama to hurry up. I love the fact I have the option to be healthy if i want or load up on calories if Im jonesing. Truly an amazing new nugget Ive found in Santa Cruz for some mega dank food.

Super welcome addition to 41st Ave!! I had the bacon Benedict burrito and it was the best I’ve had in a very long time, maybe ever. So flavorful and great portions. Cinnamon roll was just stupid good. It’s dangerous that the those rolls are sitting there staring at you while you’re ordering. 😩 Last but not least, the SERVICE! Mama Kim was so kind and helpful and the rest of the team had a great attitude. The spot is so clean too, which I always appreciate. Super stoked for this place to blow up.. Oh my goodness- those cinnamon rolls. I haven’t had one this good since my childhood, back when Cinnabon may have held actually pronounceable ingredients. These are sticky, divine, soft and full of cinnamon. Their sandwiches are well packed with delicious ingredients: I got the Midtown and my husband got the Capitola. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the cranberry walnut bread my sandwich came on, but my husband loved it, so I think that’s more a personal preference thing. The herb bread is quite herby so if you’re into more of a plan bread try one of their other delicious varieties. Their challah bread for sandwiches looked legit so we will try that next!

Order at the counter, grab your coffee, and pick a seat. Easy. Wait for a familiar yet different breakfast sandwich. I ordered the BLTA with egg, and my husband ordered a biscuit (made in-house) with sausage (which also seemed made from fresh grounds, not frozen) with honey chipotle sauce. We added a side of potatoes. All was delicious. We mentioned that it was our first time, and they gave us a yummy Cinnamon bun! As of August 2023, free refills of coffee (score!)! Hughly recommended to support this gem.

This place is excellent. I will be back! Mama Kim who was at the register was super super friendly. I felt like I was transported to a kitchen in my childhood, served with a smile. The cinnamon rolls were served to me for free. I couldnt believe it! God bless these people.Then the food...it was absolutely amazing. The flavor was distinct and detectible. My husband and I stopped in today, and we will definitely be going back!Excellent, friendly, attentive service, super clean atmosphere, and... best of all our sandwiches were Devine. I had the cheese, avocado, tomato, sprout on the most delicious ciabatta bread. One of the best, freshest sandwiches ever!! Hubby had the turkey, pear and loved it.Theyre only open Saturdays and Sundays right now, but weCant wait to go back!

There are moments throughout the course of your life that stick with you. Getting down on one knee, birth of a child, winning a game of Catan against your best friend who wouldn’t trade a sheep with you the whole game… etc. Eating the Reubenito Burrito at Busy Bees is on that Mount Rushmore. The Sistine Chapel and the Reubenito have more in common than any other breakfast burrito you have ever had.Oh… and ask for extra thousand island on the side.

Got two bowls, the basic and the builder. I’m a vegetarian and I LOVED how veggie-forward this meal was. My husband also loved his meaty meal. Can’t wait to come back. Too bad they’re only open on weekends! They were hustling inside and looked to have a solid operation. Great job! Great meal!

WOW is all I can say. I have been there every weekend since it’s opened because I am hooked. Most incredible breakfast iv had in Santa Cruz. The flavors, the freshness, the consistency is something you don’t find often. I have pretty much tried everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The cinnamon rolls!!! Omg the cinnamon rolls are not only huge but so tasty and don’t leave you feeling overly gluttonous, the perfect amount of sweetness without being too much. The avocado toast is absolutely to die for, the tomato relish on top is out of this world. The biscuit with honey omg insane. The flavors are so well done with each dish. I wish I could eat there everyday, fresh food, sweet staff can’t beat it!
