The coffee I enjoyed. The chicken tamal not so much. I ordered two. The tamales were cold and not to die for honestly. Both tamales were brown, the chicken was brown like it was past due. This isn’t a place I would go to eat tamales.

It all started last night. I woke up around 3 AM. dreaming of having the perfect bowl of MenudoUnfortunately, it wasn’t realThen I woke up this morning, knowing that I had a purpose…I had to turn this dream into reality. I didn’t know how but I knew today was the day. I did my regular morning routine made it to work and then around 11:35 AM today I got hungry I began to hunt for the right restaurant then I stumbled across this place,What caught my eye at first in the menu was that they sold tamales hereI was shook impressed and baffled, but relievedI had found a place I had found my purpose I walked in around 2:13 PM. I ordered a bowl of Menudo with a side of one Tamale.Around 2:25 PM I received my food the service was fast and they made me feel at home reminded me when I was back in MexicoMichoacán,As I was finishing my bowl and I took the last spoonful I then knew my life was complete. I was filled with joy, happiness, fulfillment, hope, gratefulness.I would 110,000% recommend this place.

Came here to pick up some tamales and had a great time. The tamales are absolutely to die for!! Their champurrado is also phenomenal!! If I visit LA again, I am 100% visiting this place for breakfast again.

Ordered a large menudo which taste real good and clean. The tamales were also a good size and real good for $2.50 each. My only complaint is the tamales were $30 a dozen which seems quite high especially when you can go up the street to Marias Tamales and get some that are just as good for $22 a dozen.

Omggggg what a lovely hole in the wall! Amazing authentic Mexican food made on the spot and with love. Got chicken enchiladas and they were soooo good would definitely recommend!!

Cafe Tizon was our choice for our office Christmas party fare this year. Their pork, chicken and cheese tamales were VERY good and we know good tamales. Very nice staff gave us chili to go with the tamales - it was delicious!!!!

The menudo and pozole were really good. Tasted authentic and not store bought. There agua frescas were good as well. Im definitely coming back if Im in the area.

This place has the best tamales. They are stuffed with so much filling and the masa has sauce mixed into it so it is not flavorless. If you want a delicious tamale this is the place to go.

THE TAMALES ARE OK. A BIT DRY N NOT THAT MUCH SAUCE. I GOT 7 TAMALES AND A CHAMPURRADO FOR $26. I FEEL OVER PRICED. ID PREFER TO STAY AT MARIAS BAKERY. REALLY MOIST N FULL OF MEAT FOR ALMOST HALF THE PRICE.

Cooked needs a day in advance, or sometimes they can make exceptions (order their daily tamales when they open).2. Meat, Vegetarian, Vegan, Custom. Vegetarian sweet tamales are only made for weekends. Custom tamales takes 2-3days advance.3. Frozen RAW tamales 2hours to steam. Frozen COOKED tamales 45min defrost, then 10min steam.Amazing for camping! We home froze the COOKED tamales. And took it to burning man this year/August. It was a hit!

My wife loves their menudo from here. She said is the best take out menudo shes ever had. So I make the drive for her since its around 15 mins from our house to get it for her when she wants it. They have really good tamales and I love the salsa that comes with them. Pozole is good too. I love their breakfast burrito, it has that home cooked feel to it. All of their food has that home cooked feel to it.

I shouldve taken pics but it wouldnt have done this place justice. Small family owned business and OMG!!! the tamales.. Theyre big, soft, and full of flavor. The best one I thought was the chicken but the pork was just as good. We also had the Pozole, which was also good... Must give this spot a try... I definitely will be going back and putting in my future tamale orders here

This place is amazing, very small, but cozy and if you love grandmas home cooked meals. You will get it here. Had some pozole with all works with my dad this morning and I gotta say, I am surprised they dont have a lot of customers. They even have free wifi. 5 stars all the way.

I have been living in front of the establishment for a couple of months and I always see a lot of people consuming.I have come and eaten a delicious tamalito de rejas and a café de roca. All delicious 😋.Its staff is friendly and efficient.Today your staff was so kind to me, they helped me get my kittens back. Thank you eternally for that.

I just order tamales and they are soggy, looks undercooked. I dont recommend them at all. The tamales seem raw and they are a batter, you open them and they are completely beaten, they have no shape, it seems that they are stewed instead of a tamale. I do not recommend them.
