Best breakfast and lunch in the area, maybe even SoCal. Ive been here a few times. Food is outstanding, never had a bad meal here. Food is always on point, fresh ingredients and good portions. I highly recommend this place.Service is great, you order at the counter, get a number and they bring food to your table.Plenty of outside seating too.

Great cafe spot. Came here for breakfast with my family. It was recommended. We ordered the tri-tip eggs Benedict, French toast with a side of bacon, and two kids pancake plates. Wife gave the Benedict a 10/10. I wanted something different so I went with French toast. I really enjoyed it. Not overly sweet, but you can sweeten it up if needed. Bacon was crispy and made to perfection. Kids loved their pancakes. I recommend this place.

Café Topes is a cute location, but I am surprised it has such a high rating given that the food itself was not amazing. The atmosphere is very nice as youre close to the ocean, and the interior is decorated very cutely. I ordered the pork belly Benny and the cinnamon roll, as well as a Mexican mocha. The pork belly had a lot of fat and was very chewy, definitely ranking on the lower end for pork belly Benedict for me. I prefer the pork belly jabanero Benedict from snooze a.m. The eggs were good, but everything together was just alright. The hashbrowns tasted too oily and bland. My Mexican Mocha was alright, but lacked flavor. The cinnamon roll was the most disappointing. I ordered it dirty, which means it came loaded with cream cheese icing. The portions were nice and the food looked beautiful and was plated very nicely, but the taste was sort of bland and not something that would make me want to come back. The cream cheese icing was not sweet and tasted more like something savory rather than a dessert item. The cinnamon roll itself was rather dry, and I was disappointed overall. The service was nice and the atmosphere was very nice as well, but I was disappointed by the flavors of the food. I would not recommend this place over others, and I am a bit puzzled by the high rating. Everything looked picture perfect, but the quality of the food felt sacrificed. Overall, it was good for a quick bite, but I would not come back to this location.

Absolutely delicious. Both sweet and savory items on the menu are equally strong and flavorful. Everyone will find something they like here. The avocado toast is delicious.

The restaurant should prioritize managing the long lines efficiently and consider not taking phone orders during peak hours. I observed employees occupied with their phone while a line formed, and an empty cashier went unnoticed. Moreover, a warm welcome with menus for first-time customers would enhance the overall experience. Theres potential for improvement.

Cute little cafe. The staff were so friendly. No kids menu but it was still pretty kid friendly. Food was great!

Im currently on vacation from Wichita, Kansas. This place was recommended by my sister in law who lives here in Carlsbad.Wow! Was my wife and I extremely impressed.I would highly recommend Cafe Topes.Awesome Place!

This place is definitely a must go to breakfast spot. The food was absolutely amazing and service was great. Just be aware you order as you walk in so be prepared. Enough food in one order for two. Maybe even 3.

Had the eggs Benedict and it was phenomenal. Also had the Iced Thai coffee and was absolutely delighted with the entire meal.
