I like this little cafe, my only complaint is probably next time, I would love for my home potatoes to be more crunchier. cause the ones I got were really saggy. Other than that the waitress was very attentive and she kept refilling our coffees..

Woah, what a difference change of ownership makes. Haven’t been here for years due to past experiences. Now, the staff has put this on my go to lists for meals.Leslie helped us that morning. Ordering and receiving are food was quick. We ordered the pancakes, two egg breakfast platter and guess what?! They have vegetarian AND vegan options, so I had a vegan breakfast burrito. Very enjoyable. Loved the food (thank you chef) and service (thank you Leslie).Street parking.

Nice little spot to grab breakfast or brunch with a homey feel. They have very limited seating, as its a small dining area with only a handful of tables. I enjoyed their portions, not too much food. Coffee was good and the service was quick and efficient.

Came today on Saturday, August 26, 2022 @ 10 AM to dine alone for breakfast after an early morning hair appointment nearby. Ive never been here before. I ordered the meat & eggs breakfast. I had a burger patty, scrambled eggs with cheddar & green onions, side of bacon, country potatoes and an English muffin. Its my first visit and Im impressed. Everything was fresh, delish and hot! The servers are very sweet and attentive. I would highly recommend this cafe. Parking is hit or miss but worth a few circles around the block. Im coming back and soon!!! 💯

The menu isnt special. But what they lack in avocado toast they more than make up for in quality. Just a simple farmers breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and coffee was the best of each. Quality and properly cooked. The coffee was not watered down. Im looking forward to making this place a routine.

Found this place on the fluke looking for some breakfast. I had the meat lovers omelet and it was delicious! I have found my new favorite breakfast spot. It was really busy when my aunt and I came in but the owner was working hard and made sure we were seated and taken care of. Definitely will be back!

Me and my boyfriend had late breakfast and the food was wonderful! Very satisfying and great tasting! The coffee was great! The staff is amazingly nice. Oh and I loved the bathroom decor especially the Irish Love🍀! Definitely an awesome place to eat at! Thankyou for what you do!

I am still giving them 5 stars. That said things seem to be slipping a little lately.. My pancake today was flat like it was yesterdays batter. Im hoping this is just a one time thing. I will return. I returned and it was great as usual. Recmmended

I always picked up a strange vibe in this place. Like they should be located in another city, maybe a Sundown town. Recently, my feelings were confirmed. Not only did they display horrible customer service, but decided to call back to yell at me elderly mother when she asked a question about the freshness of their food. Never in my life have I seen a resturant call back and cancel and order. On top of that, the food is extremely underseasoned and sometimes undercooked (My mother likes this place, not me), and so is the staff. Its 2022 take that backwoods food and attitude back to wherever you came from.

This is a hidden gem, wrapped up as a neighborhood storefront. The key is high quality but traditional favorites. We had breakfast, huge portions, fresh ingredients really made for a great meal. This was complimented by friendly caring service. All and all a winning combination.

This place is like an old fashioned diner. The food is not fancy & it is delicious and plentiful! We had lunch sandwiches & were full through dinner time. Its the neighborhood joint we are all hoping to find. Cant wait to go back & work our way through the whole (huge) menu.

I had the worst experience today, we have been coming here for many yesrs, its been our breakfast spot, today it was a lady heavy set, she was rude and unkind as soonest we walked in the door, i am disabled and on a walker, she left us standing to wait for her to clean a table, never a hello or greeted while she smiled and spoke to anyone else, we are hispanic and for the first time we really felt unwelcomed, when it was time to pay, the bill was 40 dollars my husband handed her a 100 dollar and she refused to take it, made my husband leave me at the table whiile he went to the gas station to ger change, she was extremelly rude and very careless, not friendly, we all pay the same so we should all be treated the same

The food was great. We had the #17 with French toast and scrambled eggs. We received the best service with that down home feel. The owner is friendly and kind, definitely service with a smile. I wish I lived nearby to eat here all the time! I cant wait to go back and try more items from the menu (cheeseburger is next).

Maybe we hit on an off day, but the food was overpriced and mediocre.The waffles were thin and bland, worse than store bought frozen eggos. There is no coffee selection; just a pot of black that they can squirt a flavor into.Outdoor seating came with flies and rickety tables. We took our food to go rather than sit there any longer than we had to.The staff was kind and friendly; kudos to them.

This place is around the corner from my house and it is a great little diner to go to when I dont feel like cooking at home on the weekend. The new owners are doing an amazing job with the place and the food was tasty and cooked the way we asked. This is a small place sure but the size, the service and food make you feel like your just at a friends place for breakfast, or lunch, and you have your own private chef!

I came in to town on business. Casually looking for a spot for breakfast, prior to my appointment, I found this place on the search results. I was greeted and offered a beverage. The service was good and the omelette tasted very fresh and home made. Overall, the place had a nice homeey feel to it. The little details like the large tea selection, the Bluetooth speaker pumping out soft jazz, and the nice pictures on the wall were what really made it a great place.Recommended!Note;Dont let the outside appearance sway your opinion. It is really good.

Ill start on a positive note. The pancakes were the Bomb. Perfectly cooked. Really good quality bacon. Now for not so positive. I ordered a shortstack, eggs and bacon. My husband order 2 Egger w/grits and bacon and a side waffle. This took 45 minutes to be served. Im not sure if it was just a bad day, the cooked called off, but what ever happened, I was truly disappointed that although the wait staff appeared quite friendly, No one came to apologize for the delay. Only just before serving were we alerted that our food was on its way. This was our first visit. My husband wanted grits for breakfast. I googled where to get grits near by, this place popped up. We decided to give it a try. Examining the menu grits arent listed. I inquired with the wait staff and was told grits were available. I wish I had not, hubby was so disappointed. I tasted the grits and they tasted microwaved, and not thoroughly cooked. If its not what you do, dont do it. There was also some kind of hostile verbal exchange between employees in the kitchen that was quite noticeable to the patrons. A young woman I presume was in charged asked everyone to stop and take a deep breath, which seemed to regain some order. Im torn because those pancakes were DELICIOUS, but the wait and negative experience, Not sure if its worth it. Hence the 2 Stars.

This little place came up on our usual search for breakfast places. this is a small place in an old building on McBride. Very plain. Dont be mislead. Both of our breakfasts came out quick and hot and that included the toast. Joes Special is loaded with ground beef and a fair amount of done - just - right very fresh spinach. The Denver omelet was pretty standard. Coffee was offered immediately when we came in as well as water. Good standard diner food with good service. We didnt do lunch so no knowledge there.

Its easy to miss Cafe McBryde. Its a small, hole-in-the-wall off busy San Pablo Avenue with no big signs, no splashy displays. This is an old-fashioned no-frills interior kind of joint. But it has the two most important things we all look for in a restaurant: good food and good service. The Asian lady (owner?) who waits tables and sometimes cooks is a delight. Shes friendly, attentive, and luckily is very tolerant of children.

Classic cafe with great variety on the menu. My parents have been going here religiously. Beware, it is indeed addicting with the many different options, including breakfast served til closing at 3 p.m. doesnt get any better than that! I dont understand why reviewers are so critical with their ratings. Someone gave a 4 star rating yet had nothing negative to say. Its OK your business is unwelcome here anyway. Find another diner thats been open for 20+ years and has phenomenal service. A must see!
