A complete disaster. I normally dont write negative reviews.We went here twice - once for dinner and once for snacks. Both times the place had good foot traffic. We ordered Bhel, Samosa and Dahi Sev Puri. I dont know how someone mess up Dahi Sev Puri or Bhel. Bhel was Haldirams I suppose. All they had added was onions and they had assembled it with some spices. Their Samosa is definitely overpriced, overrated.For dinner we ordered Chole Bhature and the Malai Chicken Tikka. Man the Chicken Tikka was rubbery.Wont go here again.

This restaurant has a huge selection of Indian dishes, sweets, snacks and drink’s including mango lassi. We tried different kinds of sweets and loved bundi laddus. For dinner we ordered vegetarian biryani and paneer kathi roll. We liked the biryani. However, paneer roll can be improved by adding some more veggies and sauces as the paneer was a bit hard in texture and too much of paneer. I would recommend this place but not the paneer roll. They have nice indoor outdoor seating areas. Management was friendly and helpful.

One word - DISGUSTING!Ordered Tandoori Paneer roll and I don’t even where to start to describe how pathetic it was… I had to look for food amid food color. Zero seasoning, zero flavor, and absolutely zero marination. I should have considered other reviews that suggested to skip this place. People who work there don’t care. Never going back.

Stopped by to buy sweets. Chum chum and milk cake are good. Also got balushahi, peda and mini gulabjamun. All of the sweets are pretty decent. tastewise and also the feel. The sweets are priced nominally as compared to some other Indian sweet shops down in South bay. They were also selling ghevar, last time when I visited in August.

I have ordered falooda which is under beverages but was served the frozen falooda. When asked about it the person in the counter said that falooda was supposed to be ice cream not beverage and we are selling it as ice cream instead of beverage since 10 years.

Cafe Tazza used to be a great place to go for snacks & lunch. However lately they have increased the prices of items way above inflation. Simple items like Jilebis cost $12 per lb (soggy & in pieces), Kaju Rolls cost $16.99 per lb, & so on. These items are no better than at other nearby stores where they are cheaper by 30-40%. Also packed snacks are pricey, look stale & not appealing. Not going there again.

It was my first visit, was nearby and looked for an indian restaurant because we were hungry. We ordered vada pav, pani puri, mix veg pakoda, bhel, masala dosa and black forest cake. Except for vada pav.. food was good and for a change not sweet (which i hate the most in Indian restaurants). I will definitely go there again to try other dosas and some indo chinese.

Good food... I tried 4 items and all of them were great. Parking is also not a problem as there are ample parking spots. Only problem is that the service is not great as you can end up waiting for 25 to 30 minutes from the time you order to actually get it.

Rish and team were extremely helpful, and taught me some new sweets I didnt know about. Their tea is amazing- dont forget to leave with a cup! Line was short during mid afternoon. 10/10 will keep coming back, and this is my go to spot in the bay!

I really like the indo-Chinese food here!! Cakes are good! Veggie and egg Puffs should be served hot. They reheat it in micro oven but they become soggy. This place is busy.During covid it is better to allow few ppl at a time into the store. When ever I go it’s full that’s a bit concerning.

The place was maintained very poorly. We ordered dosa, chilly Gobi and chicken 65. The ghee dosa was good, but the chutneys served with the dosa were ice cold, straight from the fridge. The sambar was bland with no salt or tamarind. The chilly Gobi was good, the chicken 65 was very bad, stale chicken, uncooked and the masalas were not good. Also the chocolate cake was a disaster.

We ordered Paneer Dosa and Mysore masala dosa. Paneer dosa was the winner. Fresh stuffing and great tasting coconut chutney. The tomato chutney needs a little more kick/flavoring. But again their food is so close to authentic Indian cuisine, a definite place to go again. The place is clean, well lit along with good food. Oh and the chai, try that too.

I am not sure why they have an average of 3.7 star, as I loved the food here. We ordered egg Hakka noodles, Gobi Manchurian, chicken keema with pav and chumchum. All of them were delicious and chumchum was exceptional and very fresh. This store is possibly one of the best Indian restaurant in the tri-valley area.

Pav bhaji lacked salt. When we added salt to bhaji, it tasted fine.Chole bhature was fine. They give 1 big bhatura. More like a big poori.Hakka noodles did not even look like hakka noodles. Whatever bad reviews they had in the past they have completely changed. The food was amazing - we had everything including fish pakora, dosa, namkeen and gobi manchurian. The staff was very friendly, helped us pick what to order and made sure we were happy with our food. Great flavor and portion size.

Oh my goodness. how can i explain. this is the experience we had for the last 2 visits. So I have to write a review.We all got very upset with this shop in the recent days and decided to move out of this choice in the future. This used to be a our preferred quick shop for snacks and dinner. But not any more.Delay Delay in order:We ordered for 1 paneer puff, 1 Pav bhaaji, 1 dahi poori. And it took more than 45 minutes for a dine-in order. Do you believe it?Dahi sev poori will normally take not even 5 minutes and pav bhaaji wont take even 10 minutes. But safely they put a notice that our order will take 30 minutes time. Knowing how much time which dish will take it is ridiculous to wait for more than 45 minutes.We also tried ordering online and pick up so we can save time. The funny thing is they start the order only when you go in person and tell them about the order. which mean you still need to wait for your pickup.Food Quality:Ok even after 45 minutes we thought ok we got the food, but it turns out that the pav was old... and the poori in the dahi poori was having a smell like old poori. we can hardly see the dahi in the dahi poori. they used to be good but we all felt they are not good anymore.There are better place to dine-in around this restaurant. I love Cafe Tazza food! My favorites are their Naans, chettinad chicken curry, egg puffs, Sambar, chole bathure and almost all Bakery items like garlic kulchas, butter cookies, banana walnut cakes etc. Have seen huge crowd during Diwali for their wide range of sweets. Prashanth and Shiva were very helpful with bakery orders. Must try!

I ordered Uber eats and we are purely vegetarian. I ordered chilli paneer with noodles and they sent us chilli chicken. My kids ate a bit and they were like mom it doesn’t taste good. It’s different. Like we tried the chicken Manchurian yesterday, it was just very blah dish with no flavor.But their Butter chicken was decent. Dosa is also nice, special mention of the sambar which was good.Not a fan of the sweets here. Straight to the point;The serving amount for the high prices we pay are ridiculous. Unfortunately the food is good so I had to pay it anyway. (Speaking for the chole bhature). Theres a huge selections of sweets and snacks and the entire restaurant has finally been remodeled so theres more space for the long lines and more seating/tables for the diners. The bathrooms are still a mess, their products are all over the floor which made it feel unsanitary. The customer service is still the worst Ive seen. so if you want Indian food go elsewhere like Chaat cafe.

I was here today, ordered Dahi Bhalle, Pastry, Water, Gobi Manchurian, Uttapam, Paneer Pakore. I paid & I was given a red token with number. I was expecting them to say Order Number from their Red Token, but no, just they just yelled Pastry. How do I know its mine when there are 3-4 more customers there? Same thing happened with other items too, whats the point of giving customers that red table token if they are not going to use it?Coming to food, Dahi Bhalle was just mashed bhalle with Dahi, ice cold. No masala, chutney, salt or any garnish on top. It looked like they just placed it in my plate from serving bowl. Uttapam was too thick, n nothing to be spoken of. Sambhar was tasty. Paneer Pakore was anything but pakore. They should call it Paneer Sticks. No filling, pepper, and certainly not the shape.Bread packets had no manufacturing date or best-before or expiry date.Staff was also almost rude, not friendly.I will think many times before visiting this place.

Indian sweets are pretty good, probably the best in Pleasanton/Dublin, a little pricey per pound, but I would say if you need a little Ludo in your life, its worth it. Weekend spicy chicken is very good but on the extra spicy side. Overall everything Ive tried is pretty good and would recommend Cafe Tazza for a quick snack or meal.

Superb food and great customer service !Place is located in a strip mall with a lot of parking so it was easy to find a spot .Ordered the below dishes for 3.Butter chicken - It was delicious, The chef totally nailed it, had the nice juicy home made taste and wasnt the usual sweet commercial taste like most of the other places .Mutton masala - was a perfect blend of spice, I dont like hot chilly stuff and I usually always say mild but this time I forgot and to my surprise in was just perfect the normal way its served .Naan - well done and just right !My wife ordered the choley bhature and it was gone before I could even taste it . Bad Attitude shown by sales man at the sweet corner!I purchased the 6 pieces of Guzia from Cafe Tazza today! The salesman has always shown an attitude to customers. I was purchasing this as gift to others and one of the pieces had lot of sugar crusted coating and also had lost the shape compared to others. I asked Can you please replace this one piece? and he refused and he said that he will not replace it He said it will go to waste and I did not understand his logic as I had not touched the piece. I requested again and then finally had to remove that one sugar crusted piece in front of him and left! While leaving I saw that he promptly threw it in garbage!I always think that if you are salesman than you should be able to first please your customers with a smile and greet them! This gentleman does not like his job and is arrogant with his customers!

Going to be completely honest. I’ve been going since 4 years now. Use to be a good place. Chefs change all the time and food is different every-time we go. It has become ridiculously expensive. The bill comes out to be around $80 for us. I’ve realized I’m paying full expensive price for SNACKS and APPETIZERS. If your bill comes out to be more than $50 Be smart with your money, & go to a authentic Indian restaurant. You’ll get good food, service, & better satisfaction. Better to spend there than here. I have been going to this place pretty often to buy some snacks tea Mango Lassi etc. Main items etc., if you ask for to go they try to cheat you these days. Today I got 4 itemsSome items doesn’t have prices, they will just give out verbally. I purchased as usual onion pakora - they did not have enough in their bin and I ordered 1pound to go as I did not have time to sit and eat. Usually they ask for here or to go, today this late afternoon around 4.35 as it was late I said I want it to go.I came home and measured it on my food measuring scale it was only 8.82 ounces. Usually the plastic also weighs a little bit as they put ot in a plastic clear ho container flat ones. It was supposed to weigh 16 ounces. No it did not. Why do you have to cheat your regular customers where you earn your bread and butter from them. Not only that the owner seems to be very greedy and money hungry. The front girl who is by the register is an owner herself or a family member not sure. She speaks Hindi. Man this place was so honest and truth full when the first two owners owned.But the latest owner who ever it is? These people are very greedy and big time cheaters. Lots of people go there to eat.and what a rip off, stealing money by cheating their regular customers. No excuse for these kind of thugs. People should stop going to their place to give them business. I am sure definitely there are many who will curse them so bad because we work hard and money doesn’t grow in the back yard. Definitely there comes a day where they will have to shut down their business. I am a Very very disappointed customer today.They are also very rude in their attitude and behaviour. Update Mar 20, 2022: came back to downgrade this 5 to 2 stars. Both quality and quantity have gone down. 20 minutes wait for one during non rush hour, skinny paan and I spot it out. Dry and bitter. Horrible.Paan!! Delicious new addition. Loved it so much that picked some up for some guests but we went through them so fast didn’t have time to post a picture of the paan itself. Biggest paan in this part of east bay and reasonably priced. Very tasty and fresh. I put mine in the fridge until it was cold (cafe Taaza people, I like you guys and a lot of your food options, hence the five star but your service leaves a lot to be desired. Please work on it.)

The bad experience is due to the bad service for phone order. They have to ask me wait in the queue even if the food is ready to pick up and I confirmed. The logic explained to me was phone orders are not paid and you have to wait in the queue. After 15mins waiting I have to ask for again and finally got it. This review is not about food but the bad service for the phone order. Hope they make it efficient so that other customers can benefit.

We went there for dinner yesterday and were totally disappointed with the food, service, and seating. The Spring Dosas filling had no taste, no salt and was falling apart. The Veg haka noodles were almost cold, the Bhatture were too oily. For service, the food came one at a time, The Bhatture Chole and one of Dosas came about 20 minutes later when we were finished with our food. This was not only for us, I was observing the same thing for other customers. The chairs were dirty, and finally the pricing, they charge rates of full service restaurant while providing zero service. You have to go to the counter to order and then go to pick up your food each time. I had heard great review of this place, but will not go there again to eat. It is like Viks chaat which has become overrated. I have had their Mithai and all those are extremely good.

There are many issues with the place. The chaats they sell are sub par. If anyone claims they liked the chaat here then probably they dont know what a good chaat tastes like. We have tried their chaats many times to give them the benefit of doubt but have always felt disappointed. Tried their food/dosa only once and didnt like that either. Their sweets used to be pretty good, best in the trivalley, but recently the quality/taste of the sweets has gone down as well.

On Feb 2nd, I ordered Pakoras, Pav Wadas and Jalebees. The Pav Wadas were ok, the coating seemed to be a bit too thick but still tasty enough. The Jalebees, however are old. I asked for a pound, and once again just like last time, the guy at the counter directed me to the ones in the clear box. He said they were fresh and ready to go, big mistake. Brought the Jalebees home, and they are old, they have no crunch to them and are soggy. Dont fall for the its ready in the box bit. They keep the fresh ones for later and pawn off the old stuff first. It is not good customer service to unload old food on paying customers! Very upset and disappointed.

We live in San Ramon and Cafe Tazza is our favorite destination for the last several years to have some tea, sweets and light snacks in the evening. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean and we like the outdoor seating (made a big difference with Covid restrictions the last 2 + years). It could get crowded at times during the weekends with longer wait times, otherwise there is not much delay or waiting. This place is a hit or a miss experience. I have given multiple chances because there is hardly any other option. Vadapav is very ordinary. Its basically south indian aloo bonda put in the pav. It doesn’t work that way boss! Bhel puri chat was mediocre at best. The tamarind chutney is basically tasteless. You need good quality chutney if you want to up your chaat game. What a wonderful surprise this Cafe was! I was at the Dublin dealership waiting for my car and decided to walk to a local Cafe for breakfast. To my surprise it is a Cafe with all Indian food, which I also love. I asked for suggestions on nibbles that werent too spicy. She suggested the Vegetable Puff and Egg Puff, and OMGOODNESS they were DELICIOUS!!! So good that I ended up going back and buying ten more so my husband could try them. (He loved them, too). They also have an incredible selection of baked goodies. They have a good selection Indian fast food items at a very reasonable price. The only down side is that the quality of their food has been slowly declining over time. Their pastries used to be really moist and juicy. Not they all taste pretty bland. They make decent chaat and South Indian tiffins. The portions are big for the price. Overall a decent place to grab a quick bite.

The food was so so spicy! I ordered 9 dhoklas and they filled it with so many chilies that the weight of the chillies was equivalent to 2 more dhoklas! They did that to make extra cash. And the dhokla itself was sooo very spicy that I could only have 1. And when I ordered my burger (at the same time), they took 15 minutes to make it and no one was in the store!!Highly recommend you find another Indian Restaurant to go to. The quality recently seems to be worse the keema was very bad pasty, strange taste, and not dry like keema should be.Paratha was very soggy. I have been a regular for baked items at Tazza for the past 7 years. Taste has always been good but this was my first visit after the COVID lockdown. The wait was 40 minutes to pick up couple of items but I was ok. What I was not ok with was what happened in the store for those 40 mins.The restaurant management and the customers really need to catch on with times...some serious violations which could really help spread the disease1) Social distancing - the floor is marked with 6 ft markers but the crowd doesn’t care about following people. People standing close to one another and in between the two lines for baked items and pick up area is commonly seen. The crowd doesn’t care about this and neither does the management.A lady literally poked her head over my shoulder and asked for her order 3 times. She never respected my space and the lady at the cash register never bothered to tell her to wait and keep distance. I had to be the rude guy to let her know to keep her distance during these times.2) Mask enforcement - people with mask below their noses, pulling masks down while on the phone, not wear masks at all and use a piece of cloth to cover their face. Zero enforcement of mask policy.3) Food sampling - two guys wanted to sample a bunch of sweets before buying and the folks behind the counter continued to hand them sweets with bare hands. Food handling and sharing during COVID with zero thought for safety of others. The guys were eating right where food was being bagged and no one seem to care.4) The lady who handled the register did so with no gloves, then used the same hand to insert into the brown bag to make it bigger and proceeded to put my baked goods in it. “No gloves in time of COVID”. Prior to packing my food she handled cards, cash, other people’s foodstuff.I got the food back and had to rebake the food to ensure whatever germs she had transferred through the bag were killed.Overall they are running a restaurant with either low knowledge on mode of viral transmission or just the callousness to not give a damn if someone gets sick visiting their store.I wish I could go there often but will stay away for foreseeable future. Just wanted to warn people who are careful to watch out if you plan on going there. The risks and stress may not be worth the food.Giving 5 stars for food and 0 for the experience

I really hate rating this place one star but it is such a disappointment in food taste and service on multiple occasions. I ordered Rava dosa and it was a mess. Soggy dosa with over cooked potatoes resembling mashed potato. I can’t believe that someone has so little pride in their cooking that to send out such garbage to a customer. No one cleans the tables and ordering process is so disorganized and slow. So sad that the owners/management is blind and has no pride in their establishment. We go there pretty often, once in 10 days, and have found the food to be good. Their masala chai is the best. A plate of dokhla, gajjar halwa, masala dosa, egg hakka noodles, chole bhature, samosa, dahi papdi Chaat - are all our favorites, and partaken of many many times. Be aware that there can be a substantial delay before you get the food - first due to order line, and then as food is always freshly prepared.

Ive a very mixed feelings about this place especially because of couple bad experiences I have. While the food you get there tastes good, the billing lines are long most of the times. Some of my bad experiences are:1. Half/Full size sheet Cake for my daughters birthday party is given just on the sheet with no cover/box. When they dont carry the big size boxes for cakes, not sure why they take orders for big cakes. Moreover they dont tell you when you give the order.2. One time I ordered a single item that my wife is craving for, 30-40 mins before their closing time. But when I went to pickup the item, everyone started searching for that item finally to find that the cook/chef left without making the dish. Of course they offered me take something like pakora, etc. for free, but I denied as that will take away my right to post this not so positive feedback.

Owner, or at least guy who claims to be an owner, thinks he is better than all of his workers. His superiority complex prevents him from being civil and dignified. When asked to add a recycling bin, his response was Indians dont care about the environment. Why insult the 90 percent of the consumers at your business. They ran out of an item. Ive visited this establishment three times and tonight was my last, heres why:The first time I came in for a small treat with a friend after dinner. Turns out, the machine was just faulty, card was accepted after another try, no apologies of course for embarrassing me in front of everyone. But whatever, it happens right? My friend was pretty enraged, but I just brushed it off.Tonight I came into the store for two samosas. Once I ordered, the cashier communicated what Id ordered to the associate next to him, then the cashier proceeded to the back. The associate continued filling orders and the family in front of me received their food. After that, I was the only person waiting, for TWO samosas. A family came in after me and the associate filling orders stopped what he was doing, took their order, and filled their order. The couple ordered two samosas and two red velvet cakes. He looked in my direction several times and never even acknowledged my presence.Shortly after, the cashier who originally took my order came back and filled it for me. I was so hurt and appalled. The young man never even apologized. The cashier gave me an extra samosa, but that in no way excuses the associates behavior tonight. I didnt make a fuss, I just left knowing I would never return. I really hope this is not how you treat all of your Black customers.

Been coming for years all the way from Stockton. Despite the long wait was always a faithful customer. Brought my parents first time to the place yesterday. The guy who took our order was very rude and had tons of attitude while taking our order. Spoke to the manager, who handled the situation smoothly. But parents never want to come again, neither do I. Cafe tazza lost a customer who valued everything about the place for years, just because they had unprofessional staff who had HORRIBLE manners.

I love Indian food. When I was a student, I used to eat at Indian restaurants in London and spent 1 month on a study trip in Delhi. All customers that we saw at this restaurant were Indians. Food, in my opinion, was also less Western than in other places. I had biryani and mango lassi. Had to wait, and the food was a bit too spicy, but otherwise it tasted really good, and the portion was very big.
