I recently had brunch at the Cafe Terrace, and it was a truly delightful experience. The European-style ambience set a relaxed and inviting tone from the moment we walked in. In Mountain View downtown with not many outstanding dining options, its truly worth recommending a cozy café with a wide selection of dishes.The staffs attitude is extremely friendly, and the food is delicious. Even though we ordered the ordinary spaghetti, it was quite tasty.As for desserts, they are really sweet, so I would suggest pairing them with coffee, and their coffee is also quite good.If you go during meal times, you may need to wait in line.

The cafe looks really cute so we paid a visit.The service and the atmosphere was great! but the food is so disappointing.Loco moco, the fried rice and beef lacked flavor.Omelette is very ordinary. we also tried Croffle, it’s kinda dry and hard, nothing like the waffle we have imagined. The food presentations are great but not very tasty. The strawberry latte is also not impressive, the only item that was great is the coffee. If we go next time I will not order the same items again, hopefully it’s just the items I ordered that is not very good, but those are the recommended items from the waitress….

This place is a definite Bay Area gem! I opted for a citrus salad and pastas, and every bite was a delightful flavor explosion. Their coffee is also fresh and delicious. The staff members were very welcoming, and the ambiance had that perfect blend of cozy and inviting. I wholeheartedly endorse this place and cant wait to return for another visit!

I wouldnt recommend Cafe Terrace. The tap water they served had a dish soap taste to it. The ube latte had a chalky texture. The raspberry donut was more like a cake or pastry than a donut. The bulgogi rice was ok but nothing to brag about. The tiramisu croffle tasted good but was more like a flattened waffle and didnt have the flakiness youd expect from a croissant

We had a pleasant experience at Cafe Terrace. Their service was quick and the staff were able to accommodate our requests. We really enjoyed their lavender and orange latte. However, their food was just average. We tried their omurice and werent very impressed by the taste. Their French fries were slightly soggy and the taste was just average.

Cute and modern ambiance, great service, but the food could be better (especially for the price!)Got the bulgogi rice and although the visual component was great, the taste was pretty average. Salad was nice (vinaigrette was tasty), rice was kinda special (they mixed in some finely chopped veggies for extra sweetness), but the bulgogi was a bit too ordinary.Am still probably going to come back to try out their desserts. This place might be a good spot for brunch if you share the pancakes and desserts with a group of friends.

I came in to grab a cup of coffee and a snack and I really liked this place. The interior is nice and modern and it has a cool picture-worth rose wall right at the entrance.Their drink menu has a lot of good options for coffee, tea and special/signature drinks. I tried a few of their baked donuts and they were pretty good too.

Cute Asian cafe with breakfast and lunch items. Their Nutella croffle and mushroom + spinach omelettes were both delicious, as was the cappucino. Lots of indoor seating (and a couple of outdoor tables) with a nice ambiance inside.

We came here on a Sunday morning, the place got very busy very quick so it’s best to come here at opening. We got here at opening(10:00) and there were already some people waiting outside. By the time we left, almost all the tables were already filled up.We ordered the matcha croffle and the no coffee strawberry latte. The cream on the matcha croffle had the perfect matcha flavor, strong but also sweet. The strawberry matcha was also very good.The place is a tad expensive, but very reasonable. The ambiance was very good and was very lively. I wished it opened earlier for a cafe. 10:00AM seems a little late for opening.Overall would come here again to try the other dishes but the desserts were very good.

Glad I gave this place a shot! They have very good brunch options with cute ambiance and good service! We got the the strawberry craffles and Nutella craffles. So yummy! And I tried their delicious matcha latte and scrambled egg brunch option. All very good!

Great new cafe downtown- the only one with croffles and loco moco. Nice place for groups as there is a large selection of items from snacks to meals, cold and hot drinks plus a good amount of seating. Love the light and bright space with all the plants - nice vibe for brunch. Service was very attentive and friendly, space neat and clean.Only small items for improvement would be to have a little more lettuce in the Burrata salad (to balance the amount of cheese, love the addition of micro greens to add a little more flavor since romaine is fairly bland), adding some edible flowers for color and nuts/seeds for crunch would also be nice. Adding outdoor, dog friendly seating would be fabulous. If there were dog bowls outside for water and tables/chairs, there would definitely be more people stopping in for a visit as they stroll their pups around the neighborhood. Working with Julie Qs next door for some bike parking would also be fantastic.

Lavender latte and triple berry pancakes, minus the blueberries. They gave me the compote on the side because it has blueberries in it, so I was able to mix in as much as I wanted. Perfect balance of sweet fruit to pancake carbs!

This restaurant was FANTASTIC. I really recommend checking it out. We came for lunch on a Tuesday and I had a fantastic mushroom soup and my colleague had an omelette that was so giant she couldnt finish it. The atmosphere was really chill and beautiful and the service was excellent. I would keep here in a heartbeat. Other items on the menu sound so good I cant wait to come back.

I love this place, we come here often and I really want to give it 5 stars... But service has been consistently bad the last three times. You can obviously tell they are understaffed for their busiest time of the weekend (around brunch). And the last couple of times the pancakes have been drier than they used to be.Overall its beginning to disappoint, my suggestion is to go there and order croffles (my favorite item of the menu) to go so you dont have to deal with their service. I also like their Kenyan black tea.

How does this place have so many high ratings? Literally the worst brunch I’ve ever been to. Awful coffee, awful food, awful service. I’m convinced that the entire restaurant is just a scam.1. Ube latte had no ube taste. Literally tasted like vanilla syrup with red and purple food dye.2. Croffle was cold and stale and slightly burnt. Also it’s terribly sugary.3. Tiramisu pancake is burnt crisp. Tastes just like sugar.4. Omurice was literally not omurice!!! Just scrambled egg on top of rice soaked in barbecue sauce.5. Food took forever to arrive, including pancakes!! Over 30 minutes at least. Also pancake and croffle were both cold when served. Absolutely awful.6. The service is awful (servers are super inexperience and didn’t refill our water, didn’t even lay out utensils). Utensil was also broken.Not entirely certain if this place pays for the good reviews 🤮

The first time we went to this place, everything was great. Service was kind of slow but the pancakes are amazing. However, last time we visited the service has gone downhill, the service was super slow and the quality of our food was poor. The pancakes were dry and didn’t taste fresh. On par with Darla, our other new fave brekky spot.I dont understand the bad reviews. Maybe they ordered the wrong things and the restaurant should consider paring down the menu to only their best items.We had a pasta (mushroom) and an open faced sandwich (chicken pesto) and both were delicious. Not the best I ever had but solid. The pasta was softer than I like but still edible, there was so much truffle we could smell it even when the dish was being brought to our table, and there were tons of mushrooms. The croffle texture was denser than expected but not sweet (a good thing for a savory sandwich imho) and overall the elements together made a tasty bite. My tiniest complaint would be that some of the lettuce was not appropriately sized for the sandwich and I felt like one of those Disney Epcot prehistoric ride animatronic dinosaurs trying to chew this big leaf.The desserts looked too deadly sweet so we skipped those. Also skipped the donuts because they looked like cake donuts which are not my thing. And good thing I didnt get the citrus salad because I read it had added sugar on it which is baffling as its a fruit salad and not a fruit dessert.Service was attentive and not overly hovering. Ambiance was chill, place was clean, and it wasnt very busy (can get crowded on the weekends). Due to lack of soft decor the noise level was a bit high considering how few people were in there, making conversation a little difficult. Also wish they had longer hours.Ill be back to try their drinks.

I want to give the place a 3 but it has a lot going for it. The lemonade is fantastic. I had the citrus salad it was beautiful and very tasty. However, I was hoping for a salad that was filling until dinner. It lasted me less than an hour. It had a full SUGAR coating on the citrus, this made the beautiful delicious citrus salad UNHEALTHY for me. Yes, the food is delicious. There is a lack of protein to go with the salad except there is salmon which I won’t touch at a restaurant.I went a few days later for a late cup of coffee at 9:30 they weren’t open yet. A place with coffee should open early like 7 in order to catch the work crowd for coffee.I would say this is a very nice try for a restaurant. It is $1-2 higher than area restaurants. The lack of protein, the sugar and the late opening give me pause for recommending it. It is adorable on the inside.

Definitely try the omurice and the other fusion dishes. If you want good omelets, go to Crepevine. Service does suffer a bit when theres a slight rush. We witnessed staff delivering wrong orders to both tables sitting to either side of us, and the table next to our left--oof. Overall staff are nice and responsive.

Went to try this place because of the high Google review rating (4.9 stars at the time), but Im confused why it was rated so high without any negative reviews...- Extremely long wait for a couple items (30+ minutes) that were cold by the time we got them. It wasnt even particularly crowded at the time we ordered.- Croffle looks fine in photos but is nothing special. Just tastes like a very sugary waffle.- Pancakes were burnt (I dont understand how anyone who saw the dish was okay with a pancake thats black and very clearly burnt going out to customers...), extremely sugary, and otherwise didnt taste any different something youd make from a generic pancake mix at home.I generally enjoy sweet and sugary brunch, but the amount of sugar in all the dishes I tried seemed way over the top.At most, Id go for the pastries but there are many places on Castro where your money would be better spent (Paris Baguette if youre looking for something quick and cheaper, Maison Alyzee or Alexanders Patisserie if youre looking for something a bit fancier and it wont even be more expensive). Any of the other menu items dont make sense to me considering that I think your time and money would be much better spent getting a meal almost anywhere else on Castro.

Waited 1 hour only for a wrong, pricier coffee to arrive. Another couple and another guy who ordered full meals got served, finished, and left before my coffee came. Seemed short-staffed on weekends during Week 1 of opening - Many tables were not cleaned promptly. Host openly signaled me to sit at a smaller table which I moved away from as it wasnt cleaned initially. Couldnt help but felt a bit discriminated against.Interior decor was nice and food looked innovative (didnt order though). Wanted to invite Stanford friends over to try out this place as a group but this horrendous 1-person trial experience ruined all expectations.Some other guests seemed to enjoy the experience, because they were served, with at least a glass of water.

This place has potential but the food really lets it down. Ordered an omelette advertised as “bacon, zucchini, paprika mozzarella”. It was literally a pile of onion and sweet corn inside a plain egg, no zucchini, paprika or cheese in sight, no flavour. Also was served with a side salad of plain lettuce, and cold fries. Very disappointing and no excuse for serving something like this.

Cafe Terrace is a clean, quiet, and lovely addition to the Downtown Mountain View restaurant scene. When I dined-in, most of the patrons were on dates or having brunch/lunch with their family, which means you are able to have a conversation with whomever youre dining with without having to yell across the table. I look forward to coming here again because the customer service was excellent and the food was delicious!

We ordered coffee and tiramisu pancake. Coffee was good but the tiramisu pancake was just whipped cream and chocolate chips on top. Tiramisu pancake should consist of mascarpone cheese and coffee, not whipped cream and choco chips.

I visited this place three times and at first all the food tasted good and the service was very good. I returned once again and it was a total disappointment, everything is very poorly organized, the food is terrible and the service is not to mention very bad. They brought us some super cold and hard pancakes. I admit that they looked pretty but we were disappointed when we tried them.They started well when they were there but they are in decline, I think they need to restart with better administration.
