This is my partner’s favorite place to eat at. I started liking it too. I love their beignets… honestly they are better than Disney’s!! Last time I got those as well as a breakfast burrito with sausages. It was pretty good. It tasted really hearty, and the salsa made it taste even better. Their wait time is always long though. If you want take out, order online on their website! I definitely recommend this place! I can’t wait to go back!

In town for work, looking for a good eggs bennie! This was a pretty good experience, definitely affordable compared to most places around here. Our service was very good, nothing to complain about!I would definitely say the eggs bennie was FAR from traditional haha, it had a MUCH different flavor than you expect from a hollandaise - but it was still pretty tasty! Eggs were cooked perfect 👌🏼My only complaint was that the potatoes were pretty underdone lol. Like very undercooked, hard and grainy… not amazing lolI may come here again next time I’m in town, but I would probably stick to a classic like bacon and eggs lol.

This place is amazing! All their workers were sweet and served us on time. They were always checking on us to make sure we were tended to. Just the best. The food is amazing 👏 It was my first time trying Seafood Gumbo, ever and it was the best. Pure comfort food! I also tried their beignets and those were hot, fresh, and fluffy. The cornbread with butter was also a hit. For the drink, I had a raspberry lemonade and that did not miss. Overall a great experience, I already cant wait to go again!

Stopped in for breakfast before a flight out last weekend. They were pretty busy, but were able to get us in right away. We ordered traditional egg, bacon, and hash brown breakfasts. It was very good and eggs cooked perfectly. If I had a complaint, I would say my pancake was very dense and not that great. Otherwise, both the food and service was very good.

Very good Cajun food. The biscuit was amazing and overshadowed the meal I got (the jambalaya). Overall, they put some good dishes together, and the service is fast and attentive.

Vegan options available! I don’t know how much else is vegan cause I was only looking to see if they had a vegan breakfast burrito, and they did!I’m a big burrito critic because I’ve had tons of vegan burritos, this one was mid.It had too much soyrizo and the rest of the burrito’s flavors weren’t present because there was so much! I would’ve loved more potatoes and avocados. That would be my suggestion.The service was very nice! I took mine to go but it was a cute diner style restaurant inside and they had quick service. I recommend checking it out! Thank you for the breakfast!

Wow, what a great find! The chicken chilaquiles were so good, as was the omelette my wife had. We both shared the beignets and were pleasantly surprised; they were fresh, light and fluffy, which came with a side of syrup. Their coffee wasnt bad either. Id personally advise against the biscuits; they resembled dense dinner rolls more than biscuits unfortunately. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot; we look forward to visiting again the next time we are in town.

Possibly the best breakfast place in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area. Im filipino, and grew up with fried eggs with rice (like most asian countries). This place has that option with a wide variety to pair it with. I had it with catfish. How many places offer that? Here you get potatoes, rice, and grits all as options. Not just potatoes like most places. Highly recommend due to variety and deliciousness!

Great outdoor dining available to eat a gorgeous Santa Barbara morning.Portions are generous and delicious!If youre also viewing my food photos, know that the harsh red tinting is from the wonderful, sun-blocking, umbrella overhead that I failed to take into account when snapping some quick pics before digging in.And the food looked and smelled so good that I didnt even look at my shots until afterwards... But the CONTENT of the photos is valid and well placed.Server was courteous and attentive without being overbearing.Worth every star for this trip to Cajun Kitchen! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Juan the host seated us outside. We picked a table that needed cleaning. He was pretty rude. He threw the dishes in the box really hard and helped another group that came after us. The waiter turned everything around. He was very friendly and a great sense of humor. The food was very good. It was nice sitting outdoors on a Sunday afternoon.

Great brunch location. The servers are as attentive as they can be when the restaurant is so crowded. Almost all the employees know me by face and greet me like an old friend. The atmosphere is super casual. You get a huge cross-section of Santa Barbara in Cajun Kitchen, from rich to poor. The food is very good, with interesting specials every day. The omelets are so-so, but everything else is highly recommended. Their beignets are slowly improving and getting more authentic by the year. Definitely check this place out.

Our department has a monthly breakfast at Cajun Kitchen and for good reason. The staff is polite and always accomodating. The food is excellent and we have yet to have a bad experience. Weve been coming here for over 10 years. One of our favorite places in the world. The staff is a wonderful bunch of people. They consistently hire good people and make good food. We most often go for brunch on the weekend and expect a 20 minute wait. Theres plenty of seating and a fine view while you wait. I recommend the crawfish etouffee. Also solid coffee.

Great beignets and waffles! Fried chicken was extremely bland... like so bland that I wonder if they put anything into the batter which was also a strange texture. My friend got the salmon salad and said it was really good! Food came out fast but service wasn’t great (my water sat empty for most of the meal) and it took a long time for them to get the check which was fine cause we weren’t in a hurry luckily. That may have been because we sat outside.

Terrible service! We came on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We arrive around 10:40 and was told there would be a 25 min wait for a table for 2. No problem! They took us in to be seated 15 min later - ahead of schedule... great! Someone came by as soon as we were seated to take our drink order. Seems like a great experience so far, right? We thought so too. But then it all went downhill.We waited around 20 minutes for our server to take our order and when he finally came by, we exchanged pleasantries and then he made some comment about having just eaten and how hes all full now. You dont say that to hungry customers that have been waiting for more than 20 min to order. I understand that servers need breaks, but maybe dont seat customers in that section until he returns or have someone cover for him. I ordered pancakes (combo with 1 egg and bacon) and my sister order French toast with Nutella and fruit.Our food didnt come until 11:40. That is 45 minutes after we were seated. And there were just two of us. When the server dropped off the food, he made a comment about almost forgetting it. I honestly wonder if he was high. He called the butter we didnt use ice cream and said it was the best part. WHe was just weird. The pancakes were good, but the rest of the food was slightly cold and nothing to write home about. I am giving 2 stars for the guy who took our drink order and also cleared some of our plates. He was also great about refilling my water glass.I wont be back.

We were staying at the Marriott around the corner for three days. After the first morning, we had to come back 2 more times for breakfast. Had the basic eggs and potatoes, toast. Being a stickler; these folks nailed it each time. I always request crispy potatoes and tanned toast. I am usually successful with the spuds, much less so on the toast. Both were cooked to perfection every visit. Service was quick and responsive.

Service was great. Surprisingly, two of us were able to get seated at a patio table right away on a Sunday morning at 10:30 am, perfect brunch-y time. There might have been a wait time for larger parties, however, because there were people waiting around outside.I mainly came here for the beignets ($4.25) and I wasnt disappointed on that front.They had several options of Smuckers (orange marmalade, concord grape jelly, seedless boysenberry preserves, and strawberry jam), along with a few hot sauces. I tried some boysenberry with my beignets, which were delicious. (Note: Smuckers second ingredient listed is high fructose corn syrup, so I avoid generally avoid those except when treating myself.)My friend tried the Belgian waffle ($9.50) and made it a combo (+$2) which had two links of sausage and one egg any style. She ordered the egg over easy and the egg came out perfectly and was even satisfyingly round. The sausages were a bit tiny even for breakfast sausages, but still good.However, if my friend hadnt ordered the combo, she was literally getting a whole plain round waffle for $9.50. That is definitely not worth it at all. It came with syrup and some butter, but really-- $9.50 for a plain waffle. Strangely very expensive price point when everything else on the menu seemed like typical mildly expensive brunch pricing. Would come back to try their specials or eggs benedict, though.

Bad service, I went for breakfast, waited for a while for the hot beverage I ordered, then finally someone came asking what kind of tea I ordered, I was so mad because not only they ignored me for so long they asking me for my order again. People came long after us got water and their hot beverage, I was soooo disappointed in the way I was treated, especially my two children witnessed how this place was bias against us. I ended up leaving because I Will not support a business that treats people differently because of my skin color.

Ive always liked Cajun kitchen because its a Santa Barbara staple. Im only giving a 4 out of 5 because there are a few menu items that are good but arent as good as the others. that being said, its not like the items arent good; theyre just not exceptional like some of the most popular items like the crab cake Benedict, huevos rancheros, seafood gumbo, or fried chicken Benedict. I would give it a 4.7 out of 5 if possible though. Great food, great wait staff, and great atmosphere. Also, definitely get some beignets.

This place is meh. Service is okay. The food is very bland. My boyfriend ordered the jumbalaya and eggs which had a good amount of shrimp but lacked flavor. At least there was creole seasoning to save the dish. I wanted to get something but there are no non-pork meat options and I didnt want to pay full price for a good chunk of my meal to not have a substite. The beignets are good which is what I had along with the coffee (i dont recommend the coffee -- tastes kinda sour). Afterwards I went to McDondalds to get an egg McMuffin.

I was excited to try some Jambalaya here, and its always nice to take a break from the drive along the ocean.I tried the Jambalaya and eggs, and the dish wasnt as hearty and seasoned as jambalaya should be. The dish did have a lot of shrimp and a decent quantity of meat, but overall lacked flavoring. The cornbread was also lackluster. The dish couldve use more cajun seasoning and also put more on the eggs.Props for serving novelty food, just needs to kick up the flavor a notch.

This is the older Hollister Ave location of Cajun Kitchen in Goleta. It is showing its age, vs. the shiny new location on Calle Real near Fairview. The food is just as good, though the coffee seems not quite as good to me as at Fairview. One advantage: not nearly as loud inside. The Fairview location inside becomes deafeningly loud during busy times; so much so that I avoid the location unless I can get an outside seat. The Hollister location doesnt have that problem.

Website assigned a different time after online purchase........ when I showed up had to wait for the hostess who had me go to cashier - waited for that cashier and then saw the order was sitting on the counter so she walked it to the back and place the order while I was standing there...Would not trust the website time given or if you are in any kind of hurry. Disappointed and will never do that again.
