They have a sign, line forms here. There was two people apparently having a slow conversation about what to order. Not moving. The cashier was standing at the end of the counter doing nothing. I wanted simply to buy a baguette which was immediately next to her.She refused to sell me the baguette and told me to go back stand in line behind the two persons who were still chatting and discussing their order with the other salesperson. Still while the cashier was doing zero, doing a second person came in, and she refused to sell him the single pastry from the case, immediately next to her.Ultimately I got my baguette, several minutes later than was needed.I would describe my treatment as Rude or dysfunctional.I will not return. Everything overpriced might be tolerable but horrid service is not.

This French-inspired bakery is not only lovely to visit, but the pastries and food are delicious! Whether you’re getting a coffee and a sweet treat, or a salad or sandwich for lunch, you’re sure to be satisfied! The staff are super-nice too!

I visited for the first time today. I am not one to usually write negative reviews. I ordered a chai and as I was ordering the staff were busy arguing. I almost cancelled my order then but my daughter was already excited for her cookie. I then waiting over 10 minutes for my chai. The entire time I was in there the staff were yelling at each other making the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. I finally got my chai and went outside. I was outside and one of the workers walked out yelled at a customer that had been in front of me in line then practically ran my daughter over while cussing up a storm and making a scene. I will not be back. Hopefully it was an off day for everyone but I was shocked by the unprofessional behavior in a pretty busy establishment.

I called and left a voicemail requesting a princess cake in 5 days and was worried about not connecting with someone to order. I was pleasantly surprised when they reached out via text which was really helpful just a few days later and made it happen.I paid a deposit and the cake was on.The cake was delicious and gorgeously presented we were super happy and the lady I picked it up from was SO nice.Ive had princess cakes from many bakeries and this one was top notch.Highly recommend this lovely bakery!

This is an amazing gem in downtown Grass Valley. The store is clean, and the smell of baked goods is divine! I had one of the best Oat milk Mochas I’ve ever had. The savory scone was also melt in your mouth tasty and fresh. I will be back!!!

Person who helped me was super pretentious and rude. Scoffed their way through helping me, seemingly annoyed at my lack of knowledge of French patisserie. I couldn’t read the writing on the glass case for some things and had to ask what they were. At first I didn’t even notice the dry-erase marker writing on the glass case cause it was dark writing and my eyes shot past it. I want to say that I was very kind through the entire interaction as well, not being tense or agitated at all.They also grabbed all of my ready-to-eat food with bare hands with rings on. Anyone who has a food handlers card knows that it is against health code (due to being a huge sanitation issue that can get people sick) to handle ready-to-eat food with bare hands. Also the same reason for wearing rings while handing food. Rings spread bacteria from the bathroom!Lots of cafes have tongs for baristas to use to grab stuff out of pastry cases, ultimately just good practice to take a sec and throw gloves on first!It’s also rrreeeaaalllyyy expensive while being underwhelming. I’ll probably just go to Daily Donuts the next time I want to get treats for my family as the environment is much sweeter and inviting.Honestly most other bakerys in town are a good alternative based on my experience today. I say Daily Donuts in particular because it’s owned by POC and all of their staff is incredibly friendly. I feel better supporting a marginalized group over a pretentious one.Overall just bummed I’m out $30 for this.

My mom had a shortbread raspberry triangle and an apple turnover that were so unbelievably delicious she said someone must have went to a professional pastry school and perfected these desserts. I had a regular and a chocolate croissant and they were by far the best croissants Ive ever had in my life. Weve been looking everywhere to find a good one and now weve found the yummiest bakery ever with the most gorgeous goodies!

If you are searching for someone to make a cake for a loved one, look no further.I was searching the area for a place that could make and deliver my sister a birthday cake for a special birthday. I live in the UK, otherwise I’d be making her one myself.I had only Google reviews to go by and contacted cake bakery and cafe. Christine replied to my message within 24 hrs and was very helpful. Within 48 hrs they arranged to turn around this cake (pictured) and deliver to her address. If they had a little more time chef could have made a cake with space for a personalised message, but this was not needed anyway - it looked special without it, and included a sign and a candle.Christine delivered the cake at a specific time on a Saturday, passed on my message to my sister and even offered my baking-mad niece a tour of the kitchens.Look not further for caring cafe owner who works with a creative and talented chef. The cake is being devoured this evening - I’m sure it tastes as good as it looks.Thank you Christine and chef for a great long-distance buying experience. My sister says she will certainly come check out your cafe now!

Popped in here really quick today. Had a great experience. Chatted with the owner, had an espresso (amazing) tasted an epic polenta/almond cake, And snagged a baguette. Deff coming back again some time.

This place is awesome and Christine, the owner, is a DOLL!! We were going to dinner and stumbled in and she had melon gazpacho on the menu and I was dying to try it, but, because we were eating shortly, I didnt want a whole bowl, she was kind enough to prepare a small tasting bowl and it was DELICIOUS!!! She then did the unheard of....she shared the recipe with me!!! What chef does that? The interior is spectacular and I cant wait to go back and try some of her amazingly beautiful desserts!!
