Fantastic food. Small little place.
Honestly this place is great. I love the youngins’ working there, they are always polite. Tonight, the young girl working made me a carne asada burrito and it was awesome! I asked her to grill the burrito a little bit, and she did a great job, exactly how I like it. It’s a win for me, my belly is happy! I’ll definitely be back.
Nothing but 5 stars for this place and their employees! So kind and excited to see people coming in. The food was amazing and their playlist was equally so. Came from out of town and was not disappointed!

We were looking to cater food for a party, but changed our plans because we found the chicken undercooked. Even so, the owner inexplicably decided to increase the price by almost 30%. We looked for a different place with better food, and importantly, better ethics.
Owner is very respectful and always has a smile on his face. The Veggie burrito here is pretty awesome. They stir fry veggies in the burrito which is very cool and adds a unique flavor in Burrito. Pretty reasonable prices and It’s my go to place for Mexican food :)
Really great experience getting food here. I came in with an injured knee and the crew saw my cane and immediately scrambled to try and make my life easier. The time and effort they take to make your food the way you want it is amazing. Its like if Chipotle was authentic and not rushing through a line of people like a high school cafeteria. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Excellent place for a quick lunch or dinner. The burritos are great and so are the tacos! The place was clean and the food tasted great! One minor inconvenience for me was the fact that the mild salsa was spicy so I can only imagine what the spicy ones are like. Overall great experience, good prices and excellent food!

Worst burrito I’ve ever eaten in y life! The place was empty and no excuse why it was so terrible! Where do I begin… it the burrito was about the size of my pinky finger, the tortilla cold hard and was not not even warm! In fact the Cheese was not even melted!the rice was firm and undercooked over! I was starving as was completely let down and in need of some real food somewhere else! I will Never eat there again the rest of my life! I give it a 0 of 10 and give it a 1 *. Google won’t let me give a zero
Decent place if you are looking for a Chipotle alternative. Ingredients here are pretty fresh and fairly tasty. They dont charge you extra for a glob of guac neither, which is definitely a plus in my books. The only complaint I have is a few times Ive been here the workers here didnt change gloves / wash their hands between handling money / cash register and making your burrito. Guess what doesnt kill you makes you stronger, right?
Best Fish tacos in the east bay. Delicious Cajun prawn burrito cant go wrong if you like spicy. Fresh food made on daily basis. Extremely friendly. Enjoyable environment.
Nice little place. Its only that its hard to find a smaller place that also makes chili rellenos, other than a sit down restaurant. (Which do offer take out.). And the rest of the menu is also very limited. But food was good and and the employees were very nice. I would recommend them.🙂.
I have been going to Cal eats since they opened a few years ago. The food is always consistent the facility is always clean and the help is always great. Their food is better than Chipotle its fresh theres no preservatives and its delicious. I highly recommend this for somebody who wants quick Mexican food that is a good quality and fresh. They also have a punch card so after you get 10 burritos or quesadillas or whatever your meal is you get a free one. There is plenty of parking, its very convenient, and I love the food. Everyone who I brought their have become fans too.

Had the blackened fish tacos and street tacos, everything was fresh and tasted excellent. Best fish tacos Ive had yet, has an entire piece of tilapia. Service was great and place was clean, Ill definitely be back to try more items from the menu.

I got the carnitas burrito which had no flavor. I would put it on par with Raleys taco bar. Not bad, but not authentic. Also, I paid extra for guac but there was a chunk of avocado and I could pairly bite into it because it hadnt ripened fully. Definitely bummed with my experience.My boyfriend got the fajita burrito bowl and it was really good, 4 star quality. Good flavor. So I would say this place is inconsistent, definitely not more than 3 stars.
Id give it a 3.5 if I could. Salsas are pretty bad and thats a big disappointment for me. Lots of affordable food though, and nice variety. They have black beans and brown rice. Very cheap kids burritos. Good shrimp meal, decent quesadilla.
My experience is that it is less fresh than advertised with bland food and hard rice. It is about as authentic as Taco Bell. Great staff and very clean place so that deserve to be mentioned. If you are looking for Chitpotle(ish) food, give it a shot!
Really good, a gem in the suburbs. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors popped right out, the whole burrito was a delight.The staff is very nice too. I can only recommend it.
They recommended fish tacos when we walked in then recanted and said, were out of those. Ordered a burrito bowl instead and couldnt believe how small the $6.50 bowl was. Its insulting that they think its ok to charge that much for so little. Girlfriend ordered two chicken street tacos for $3.50 and got more food including chicken. I hate sounding trivial but they were completely comfortable ringing the register and under- delivering. There are better choices but we thought wed try this overrated establishment. Your mileage may vary.

It was seriously that good. You walk in and you can smell the goodness and the you just know youre going to sit there in a food coma. I came here with my boyfriend and we ordered a cajun shrimp burrito, shrimp and steak bowl, and 2 blackened fish tacos. The servers/cooks there were really friendly and helpful, they helped my indecisive self decide what to get or else I would have been standing there an eternity before I could decide.Fish Tacos: This was superb. The fish had so much flavor, the tortilla was soft but held the taco together, and the sauce and the toppings were fresh. If youre gonna get one thing here, then get this because like the guy at the counter said to me and boyfriend, youre gonna want more, trust me. He was totally right.Cajun Shrimp Burrito: Large pieces of shrimp and the burrito was filled with them, every bite had shrimp. The shrimp was also spicy! A little bit too oily for my liking but I really liked the flavor.Shrimp and Steak Bowl: Thank you to the guy who told us to get in a bowl because it was really good in bowl form and I cant imagine it as a wrap, I feel like you would get less of the food stuff and more tortilla. The steak was the real star because it was bursting with flavor. I feel like this was the dish that showcased their mastery of the grill.The prices were reasonable, their portions were great, and the service was wonderful. I hope they keep it up because they are an excellent choice if youre in the mood for fresh mexican grill!
The food here us absolutely excellent and dont forget to have the Burrito in a Bowl which is my absolute favorite ensemble from Cal Eats! The staff here is also great! You wont be disappointed!
Good good. Not my first choice but not bad in a pinch. Get the steak and shrimp saute as a bowl. Unfortunately bowls can be a bit runny with the pico. Free water cups and condiments.
Good service and i like the fresh fish tacos. The steak and shrimp burrito was okay because its too wet and not wrapped tight enough, so made it pretty messy.
Great spot for good Mexican food with a little Cali flavor. Build your own, kind of like Chipotle, but I like the flavors here better. Very friendly staff as well, I highly recommend this place!

The only taqueria I eat at in Fremont. In fact, my favorite taqueria Ive discovered in my 37 years on this noble quest. The fish tacos are the best Ive had anywhere. The salsa has good flavor and IS NOT that watery, flavorless red liquid fire you get at the other taquerias around town. The service (particularly by the owner) is top notch and on par or exceeds the high standards set by San Francisco and other food meccas in the Bay Area. The place is off the beaten path and isnt overly crowded at lunch or dinner time, which is another bonus. Great food and friendly service. We had the fish tacos, chicken burrito and chicken quesadilla, and all were delicious.
Slow service. There were 3 people working and from my observation they were helping a family of 4. It was taking them 15 minutes or so serving them and still helping them after my family and I decided to leave. No sense of urgency and no acknowledgement when you come in. The restaurant was not busy at all on Sunday around 1p.m.
The Cajun shrimp burrito is so good. They have great salsa too. Quick and nice service. This is our go to burrito place

My burrito was soupy, service was painfully slow (5 minutes per person in line). Other than the soupyness the food was decently flavored, a little bland but not bad.

I’m looking forward to trying the other things on their menu. Restaurant was also clean and the service was perfect.

2023-10-10 13:39:23We were a group of 4 and they willingly split checks. The food was delicious. I had the crab cakes. They upcharged me for a salad but then put it on the same plat as the crab cakes...could have been a separate bowl. My partner ordered the large salad with blackened chicken and blue cheese. He said it was delicious and he is not a blue cheese fan.

2023-07-06 13:59:35Went there for lunch and the owner was super friendly. Willing to customize or suggest different toppings. Its a hidden gem. Great prices for quality fresh food. I got a drink as part of the set meal and it seem like the entire lunch was a steal. Their chips and guac are also really good. One of us got a salad bowl and another a fish bowl. Their pineapple salsa and cabbage slaw are highlights you def want to get!
