I have the admit the name caught me off guard the first time I saw it. Thought it might be purely a kid friendly joint. Glad I walked in and took a closer look. Good looking menu, friendly service and good food.Tried the Cali Classic, fries and a drink. All were delicious. Loved that they were keeping things local to the East bay from the Alameda sodas to the beer selections (altamont, drakes, 21st Amendment). I will definitely be back and would recommend

The food was nothing special, the buffalo cauliflower was a little salty / over-seasoned. However, the service was beyond wonderful, and the place was beautifully decorated. The staff was nice. The milkshake was amazing!

A friend recommended this place for their burgers. Turned out to be even more with their salads and of course, milkshakes! Most importantly, they serve Angus beef with no hormones and their ice cream is organic. Highly recommend the blue grass barbecue and the goddess greens and I added fried chicken.

I always pass this place when going to the outlets and have never gone, until now. So glad we went it was a treat. The burgers were awesome. Fries 🍟 were 👍👍👍. Its so rare that I find a place that has Portobello mushroom burgers and they were 😙🤌.

I rarely go out to have fast food but this place has some good reviews and I decided to try. Actually I came for fries but ended up liking the vegetarian burger better. Fries are just okay. On the vegetarian burger the only option is the mushroom and if you dont like mushrooms, there is nothing for vegetarians. The mushroom can be a bit slimy as was the case with mine. Their sauce makes the big difference especially their spicy sauce. I wish they had some options for a real vegetarian patty. The service is very attentive.

A little pricey, but quality is there.Ordered the Angus Cali kid burger. You can for sauces (ranch).Loaded fries are frozen but caramelised onions were great.The onion, pickled lettuce and velvet lettuce gave the burger great crunch even after leaving out for a bit.Shake is too creamy personally.

It’s literally one of the best BURGERS I’VE had in months! Make sure to add avocado and a fried portobello mushroom to it.Even their salads were so fresh, loaded, and delicious! So I was really excited for this place. It was good, but they messed up my whole order. They put sauce on the burger and changed it out before I got to the table. But they messed up on my fries, I asked for criss cross and I got regular. I also asked for My burger well done and it was medium. Be nice if the cashier listened to my order.

First time here and it was a wonderful experience! The people were friendly, the service was great and the food was incredible. I had a double beef burger, happy hippie style with onion rings and a vanilla shake - great comfort food. My wife had the taco chop salad and she was amazed at how good it tasted. I counted five (5) times that she told me how good it was! Its a little far for us but we are going back whenever we can!

Cali Kid is a good option when shopping at the outlets. They have a nice selection of smash burgers, sides and shakes. The onion rings were very impressive. The soda selection is also good — refreshing and a perfect match with the burgers. Smash burgers are always good anytime.They have seasonal shakes so there’s always something new to try.

Stumbled upon this place on my way to the outlets and I remember seeing posts on IG.Got the fried chicken BBQ blue grass style it was good. The fries were ok and the pickles are more onion strings with a bit of zucchini so I think they need to change the name of that hahaha.Other than that I will have to come back and try a burger.

My son saw this on Instagram and we had to try it. It did not disappoint. The food was really good and fresh. I enjoyed my burger (BBQ bluegrass) and the house frickles. My son got the Cali Kid burger, chocolate shake and loaded fries. The shake was made with all real ingredients from what we could tell. Will go back for sure.

Delicious food. I ordered the chilli smash burger and the loaded fries. Both with a whole lot of flavor. The burger had some spice with some sweetness from the grilled onions. The loaded fries were as advertised (loaded) with bacon and grilled onions. All in all delicious food and a great relaxing environment.

I really like this place. Love the avocado theme. But to the actual important part, the food: their food is amazing. Their strawberry shake is absolutely incredible. Their fries are a very good portion and nice and crispy. Their homemade ranch is also very nice. We were craving for burgers and I did a quick Yelp search. This new place came up and immediately caught my attention. I realized I had gone to Meet Fresh previously and had totally ignored this place. Came here on a weekday afternoon and it was mostly empty. Good - I don’t like to wait in line or fight for a table anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to see draft beers available. Since I upgraded my burger to a meal to get fries and a drink, I didn’t need to get beer. Their beverages look interesting. An ad said that the beverage ingredients were all organic and cane sugar was used. Menu was pretty simple and I had already examined and selected what I wanted the day before.Although many of the burger styles were enticing, I ultimately picked Hangover Helper. It’s got thick-cut bacon, aged white cheddar, waffled hash brown and an egg. I was pretty excited until I got the burger. It was smaller than I had anticipated. For $11, I was expecting something that would fulfill me. I liked the flavor of the burger, but I felt something was missing too. I realized it was veggies. It needed some lettuce or arugula to cut through the richness and fat of the ingredients. I took a bite of my wife’s Green Dream. It had griddled mozzarella, avocado, arugula, and house pickle mix. She also added a fried egg. This flavor was much better as it had some greens to balance the rest of the burger. They had some good sauces. I tried the Cali sauce and my wife had the Cherry Bomb. The Cali sauce reminded me of the In N Out burger spread.My meal was about $15 pre-tax and pre-tip. Even with a side of fries and a drink with refills to complement my burger, I still did not feel satiated. I wanted to try their shakes too, but perhaps next time. I would come back for their burgers again, but just wish they were bigger.

Whenever I ordered I thought it would be just another burger, but I was wrong. The burger was delicious, light and on point. After I finished eating I felt satisfied but I wasn’t feeling bloated like I usually fell when I eat other burgers. The strawberry milkshake was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place. Pros: Friendly Cashier, local sodas and juices instead of the usual Pepsi/Coke products. Salted Malted Caramel Shake was GREAT. Fries were crispy.Cons: They try too hard to be creative instead of nailing the basics. Their pickles aren’t actually pickles, but a mixture of zucchini and onions. If that’s what it is, just call it that. They have 6 artistic burger styles, which if you’re into that, that’s great…but if you want to just order a burger with what you like on it, it proves to be a challenge. Burger was also small for the money.Bottom line: This place would be 5 ⭐️ if they nailed the basics down, like basic burgers the way you like them, bigger patties, and having pickles that are actually PICKLES. I don’t regret eating there on my work per diem dollar, but I can’t say I would spend $26.13 on a burger, fries, drink, and shake of my own money.

They had great food and their employees are really nice. You can get a burger with the choices of angus beef, chicken, or portobello mushroom along with an array of unique and delicious sauces for your French fries. Their shakes are also very beautiful.I highly recommend visiting this place at least once and I was told this is their only location after recently opening 6 months ago during Covid. This burger joint is an absolute hidden gem in Livermore. Located right by the San Francisco Premium Outlets, Cali Kid Burgers is an amazing spot that serves up great shakes, burgers, and fries. Some of my recommendations include the Hangover Helper (burger w/ hash browns, bacon, egg, and tabasco), the Chile Smash (burger w/ pepperjack, charred corn, tortilla strips, and jalapenos), the house frickles, and the Strawberry Shortie milkshake. For the burgers, I love that you can choose which meat youd like (chicken, angus beef, and vegetarian options) and that you could get it with a lettuce wrap or no bun based on your dietary restrictions. I cant state enough how fire the shakes here are as well; theyre an absolute must. Some of the other positives include the ample parking, super friendly staff, and the many TV screens playing live sports during the day. Definitely a spot Id come back to when Im in the area.

Cali Kid out strips them all.Cali Kid looks like one of those places that knows it will make money because its near the mall; you know - clean, refined branding with a kitchen designed to efficiently doll out anything on the menu. The burger was excellent. The zucchini & fried pickled onions were way too salty, though. The slices were so thin that they were VERY crispy, which is great, but I couldn’t taste any onion at all. The only thing I could taste was the breading, which would have been seasoned appropriately for thicker slices.I would certainly eat here again and get onion rings, since those are sliced much thicker.

Would’ve gotten more stars but received cold food/rude customer service. For Valentine’s Day we drove a hour to try it out from Lodi. Was asked for my name and number. Was told I’d receive a message when it’s done. Time passes by and no message so I walk inside and the guy says “your food is right there”. I would’ve gone back to get my food remade but had 5 minutes left until closing. For 50$ I’d expect it to be hot. My cousins and I had literally NEVER heard of this place despite growing up in Cali! It really reminded me A LOT of Shake Shack, down to the colors and designs! This place is so so good! Best burgers I’ve had in Livermore, hands down! Every single option on the menu sounded so flavorful, but I settled on the Hangover Cure style in the end, and it did not disappoint! High quality ingredients came together between the buns so well; fried egg, thick cut bacon, angus beef, hash brown, pickle mix, arugula, avocado, tomato, “Cali Sauce”, Tabasco! Anytime a burger comes with the Tabasco already on it, you know it’s legit!!We came in with a large group and everyone got something they ended up loving. The shakes were scrumptious, I recommend the strawberry shortcake or the vanilla (they come with a donut hole on the straw, nice tasty touch!) Ate at Cali Kids for the first time today and was very happy with our meal! I had the portobello mushroom burger which came as a nicely portioned patty along with all kinds of fresh ingredients. My wife had the Happy Hippie burger, which she enjoyed. The Manager suggested and asked if I liked the spice level on the spicy cherry bomb sauce to which I say it was on the spicy side yet perfect for the Southwestern-like set-up for my burger! So he was right and Cali Kids is definitely worth checking out imo!!

The overall experience with our food was really dull. Nothing stood out for us. One of our burgers had a burnt piece of paper stuck on the melted cheese. Our family stumbled upon this place, and so glad we did. The food was great. The burgers were cooked well, not over done. Their fries were well seasoned. And their drink fountain is a treat offering other than the typical Cola company products.Their sauces are a great alternative to ketchup. Must try their spicy sauce with their fries. Can’t wait till our next visit. Everyone was eyeing their salted caramel shake on the menu.The staff was friendly and professional. The place is small for seating, but I can’t imagine the wait being too long. Plus there is outdoor seating as an option.

This is my new go to burger joint in the East Bay. I got tired of In-N-Out and Five Guys so I was happy to discover Cali Kid in my area. Delicious burgers that you can customize to your liking. Fries are seasoned and crispy. Milkshakes are good too, but honestly all milkshakes taste good to me when using quality ingredients.Now I dont have to hope for a Shake Shack to open up near me with Cali Kid around.

Great! Very friendly staff here at Cali Kid. I really like their Angus Beef BBQ Bluegrass burger. Everything seems to be made with quality ingredients and the burgers are charred nicely. I also notice that there isnt a smell of grease in the restaurant and everything is kept clean. However, I wouldnt recommend their artisan sodas though; they just taste like watered down versions of popular flavors. Probably best to stick with the burger and shakes.Really good start for a restaurant, I think. Lets hope the quality and atmosphere upholds in the future!

I was extra happy when i seen they use a local source for their PURE CANE SUGAR FOUNTAIN DRINK SODA. PCS soda is always so much better. Their food is fire! Very quick service and friendly staff. Just don’t rely on them to make accommodations the first time. This has happened on three separate occasions: the first where I added bacon to my burger (which cost extra) and got no bacon; the second where I asked for no grilled onions on my loaded fries and still got onions; the third where I asked for no tabasco sauce on the hangover burger and still got some. Other than that the food is amazing.
