As someone else mentioned, it is absolutely absurd that this small chain and especially this location do not allow dine in! All that wasted space that could be used for a restaurant that could seat many guests! I like to dine in or go into a place and order my food to go unlike so many who are too lazy these days to do that. I do NOT do drive through or curbside pickup, not one of those lazy people! On a good note, they have a good Chinese chicken salad but cant enjoy that anymore and be able to refill my iced tea or their yummy lemonade. Unfortunately, this place has just become a service dedicated to providing food for stupid delivery services for lazy people that I will NEVER use. They might as well just close shop and open one ghost kitchen for delivery services so that the real estate can be used for something more useful!

There’s something divine about this brand. Great wraps and great value. HOWEVER utensils cost extra. Pita was a good value, only $0.15 for extra, and sauces are free.The wrap itself felt like a gift from God. Excellently mixed together with all the right vegetables, it was a beauty to behold.

If you want to operate a ghost kitchen then go get a space off of busy Ventura which should be filled with restaurants and spaces people can actually enjoy.

Really kind and efficient service. I felt terrible about not knowing they had updated a menu item to include an ingredient I hate. Ramon went above and beyond, insisting he’d fix it. I’ve never seen someone go out of there way to make sure a customer is happy like that and it’s good to know great customer service still exists!

I went for the salad ( veggie ) but fell in love with the chicken wings . absolutely will be back again. You can watch the fresh salads being made while in line . brightly lit. Flavor syrups for your tea. Very clean and barstools are adjustable for comfort when dining in.

Love this place. Some of the saff is a bit rude.Updated March 19, 2023It’s almost like they do this on purpose. Completely ignore what you write on your order. Just the little things like the correct dressing I asked for especially when I live about 20 minutes away from the nearest location and I’m a sauce guy. The sauce literally makes or breaks what I’m eating. This is beyond aggravating.

They do their best to stay organized when taking online orders. I had placed an order through Grubhub and did curbside pick up. It does get very busy after 5pm, so beware. I had ordered a veggie salad with hot dark meat, and they forgot it... I had to call Grubhub to get that taken out of the order.

And if youre vegan like me, the VEGAN crunch wrap on wheat is amazing and I use their green salsa, not the dressing that comes with it. Is great Local spot for lunch. Place your order and they have curbside pick up so you dont even have to get out of your car. Works great for that quick on the go lunch grab when youre working. Even though they have a ton of different wraps my favorite is still their classic chicken combo wrap with the side of their broccoli salad. What a perfect combo. Oh and did I tell you.... their broccoli salad is unbelieved.

We really like the food however every time we order online (only way) the order is wrong. Mainly missing items yet the receipt print out is correct. No phone number to contact anyone like a manager if there actually is one. The menu isn’t that large to have so many mistakes. It’s like you need to pull over check your order before heading home. Pretty sure you could do better if you care about the neighborhood that is supporting your business.

California Chicken Cafe is so hard to rate - the food is great but the service is absolutely awful. Ive been coming here for about 8 years now and they manage to mess up the order about 8 out of every 10 times.Come on - How do you manage to forget to add chicken to a chicken salad???It has to be a management and training issue. The location is great, from the neatness and cleanness of the place which is a must in a food establishment. The variety of bowls, wraps and salads. The indisputable freshness of their food items is something that glorified since most places, nowadays, claim to have fresh produce but in reality they dont. The customer service experience is one of those where you are immediately bound to repeat over and over again. This is not only about the food but the visuals, the amazing taste, the flexibility, the location, and extremely important, the quality of their product and their customer service and let me be clear. I used to love this place so I wanted to enjoy some good food inside their location but they are only doing take out. The tables inside are not being used for anything and the employees forced us to order outside in below 50 degree weather. Apparently, they closed indoor dining due to Covid but now years later no one is wearing a mask nor wearing gloves when handling food inside but they still won’t allow for indoor dining.

I have being eating CCC for over a decade!!! But lately CCC Encino has get a 90% of my order wrong! And to call back it just a hassle! I order food from them probably 4-5 times at month or more, I love their food and that’s why I keep coming back ! First thing first. Three words that sum up California Chicken Cafe for me would be Fresh Ingredients always. This is most definitely a go to lunch choice of mine. I try to partake in a California Chicken Cafe salad at least one to two times a week. Very large portioned salads are to be had here. There is basically five salad choices that you can add to or subtract ingredients to suit your taste. Additional vegetables, proteins, pasta, and many other ingredients can be added to your salad for very low additional charges. I usually tack on about three dollars worth of yummies to my salad. My favorite go to salad would be the California Chicken Salad. Another plus is that the dressings are always served on the side, so the salad travels well. Meaning you can eat it later after driving it back to work, home, etc. California Chicken Cafe also prepares about eight or so wraps with white or wheat pita bread. They also specialize in rotisserie chicken and offer about a dozen sides to accompany a chicken order. You must try one of the five homemade juices featured at the California Chicken Cafe. My favorite is the lemonade. Downloading their App makes ordering easier by keeping your favorite orders stored. They really shuffle you through quickly with their curbside food delivery service. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

This location is awful. They cant get the cars to pull up well. My order is always wrong, like if I add extra broccoli, they put it in my friends salad, etc. Just really rude in person. The orders are late, too. Like if it says my food will be ready at 1:40, Ill get there at 1:45 & be waiting another 15min. Its 2 side salads, which you got wrong, & mashed potatoes. I used to live in Encino 15 years ago and the best place to eat healthy, fresh and delicious was California Chicken Cafe, I used to eat at least two times a week and the food was always GREAT and the place very nice and clean. Recently I was in the area and decided to make a stop at my favorite spot, the Encino store and grabbed a meal for my whole family. I noticed the menu has great new choices and still very affordable. As I expected my order was completed on time and the quality of the food was the best, I would recommend the new Mexican salad. I keep coming back after all these years for the excellent food and the great costumer service especially at the Encino store.

I absolutely LOVE CCC, but was just told by a manager that the chain NEVER plans to reopen for indoor dining…huh? The logic is that it’s “too fast paced” and “there’d be no way to fit everyone inside”. I’m not sure what that means, as every restaurant in LA has been reopened for indoor dining for at least a year. It would be nice to sit down and eat a salad inside a restaurant like a normal human. Very sad and, frankly, illogical. It might be great for CCC’s bottom line but leads to an awful customer experience.

The food tastes great, but they seem to mess up my order every time I come in. Last time they forgot to give me my side dish and this time they left the feta cheese off of my salad and a very small portion on the avocado. I also think the the prices have gone up. If you are going to raise the prices, you should at least continue to give the same portions and make sure your orders are correct. I was also told my order would be ready in 20 minutes, but it was more like 40 minutes. I would consider this place to be better than a fast food restaurant, but the service is really lacking.

Im a fan of the Asian slaw, but enjoy whatever I pick. There are many locations, but the Encino location features good parking and a comfortable seating area.

Been going to California Chicken Cafe almost since they opened. Never understood why the didnt move this location to one with more parking. They seriously need more parking. It was crowded around lunch time, but thats to be expected when the food is so good. I had the combo wrap, on wheat pita, with green onions. Delicious. Also got the nashed potatoes and gravy side. My surgery center team orders from here at least 3 times a month. super disappointing to find out that now there is a charge for pita and salsa even if you buy a whole chicken. i bought a whole chicken and when i asked for pita and large salsa they said i had to pay and extra $8.50. this place just lost the business of 30 plus employees of ever ordering from here again. they are being petty and penny pinching when we give them so much business. we are ordering from zankou chicken from now on. zankou chicken gives you a whole package of pita bread when you order chicken without asking for a penny. goodbye california chicken cafe rip off.

Parking is limited however so be prepared to be patient for a spot to open up in their lot or one of the metered parking spaces on the surrounding streets. I went into this place with a friend of mine... we both ordered at the same time. His food came out in a timely manner. I sat there and sat there... after 20 minutes I asked a bus boy if he could check on my food. He did and said it was coming right out in 2 minutes. This location is not on top of it. I love CCC but the Encino location just keeps messing up orders or they just dont care. Ordered a salad and it was about 1/3 full. On a different day, ordered a chicken rice wrap and they gave me one with no chicken. A friend went and waited over 45 minutes for an eat-in order and it was because they lost the order and didnt even apologize. I treat myself sometimes and go to the Westwood location and avoid Encino.

I big disappointment since I believe that “ the dressing makes the salad” I called CCC and talked to the manager who graciously offered to replace the salads today or tomorrow, I rejected the idea due to the fact that I was on the other side of the valley and thanked him for the gesture!Kudos for the manager!Not so much for the person that prepared the salad who’s by the way has the initials “BR”I’ll be checking my orders from now on!!!P.S.Only one star for this order only!!!
