Excellent combo deals. I loved the tempura onion & veggies. Made for an excellent lunch on my way to a movie at AMC Topanga, and better choices compared to what you can get at the Westfield Topanga mall and Topanga Social.

Trying this place after driving by sooooo many times. Tried the beef bowl & 5 piece calamari tempura.The beef teriyaki was tasty, smoky & tender. Large amount of rice. The sauce was a little sweeter for what Id like. Price was average.Fried calamari tempura also came in quite decent size. The tempura batter was a little dense. Price was average.Will consider reorder when cravings for teriyaki hits!

I’ve been coming here for 13 plus years for a reason. Great food great prices and even better staff. They know me by name and always have a smile to greet me. Great place to grab a quick lunch if you work nearby. I highly recommend the #49. Great teriyaki chicken on a bed of rice with steamed veggies and 2 delicious California rolls on top.

Website says they open till 7:30 they wouldn’t answer the phone at 6:30 lazy employees had to drive there to order in person witness the guy hanging up on customers won’t do business at this place again

This was my first time going there. I got the spicy pork plate and it was delicious! The portions were large which made the ten bucks I paid well worth it. I was stuffed and still wanted more because it was so yummy. Ill definitely be going back to try other things. I hope my experiences are about the same. The parking was good, the traffic wasnt bad. Staff was friendly. I got my food in about 6 minutes after ordering.

Only negative point was the 15 min longer waiting time than shown in tracker (total 35 min from online order to ready for pickup). Else great food, good portion size. We had Beef bowl very good and fresh; baked salmon roll very good; 2 other fresh rolls and some tempura gyozo. Food freshly prepared, decent price. Exactly what I expect from a take out sushi shop. Sitting area ok.

If you ever been to California Bowl then you know what your getting. Service is good, not to long of wait times but I noticed they have different portions compared to other California Bowls. I order the Tempura California Roll as a go to and they serve exactly that a California Roll Covered in Tempura, the one on Balboa serves a roll twice the size. I will go here if Im in the area but there are possibly better options.

First time ordering take out for lunch from there. The menu photos were great for choosing lunch. Thought I may be taking a risk since it looked vacant when Id drive by but the place was busy as well as from taking orders by phone. The guy at the register was very friendly and funny as he joked with the girl taking the phone orders. Great 1st impression. Will def try again.

I called in an order the lady said 15-20 min I can about 25 min after calling when I paid and the lady told me 10 more min and they had not even started my order. In a nutshell this place doesn’t seem to be very organized. The service and food has been better in the past. Hopefully the food will be ok.

Reasonable, nice variety, fairly fast, knowledgeable staff, and the food is good. Went back at 8:45 to be told theyre closed already. Huh?! I thought businesses locked their doors when they closed. Smh....I think the cook just didnt want to cook anymore. 5 stars just got dropped to 3.

Rude workers due to the fact I just wanted to state the order name while the other person already purchased the order and was at the side of the register while the lady told me can you wait over there ( in a angrily tone that showed no respect). What is even wrong with people? Cant anyone show respect in this establishment to show regards and sympathy to having customers. This review isnt the only one that represents the reputation is hurt because of how careless and disrespectful the workers can be to customers. Especially me when I preordered.

It’s always a treat to visit this place; love the food and the service. Can’t beat the prices; a must go to place for lunch or light dinner. Staff is limited during rush hours so be patient; it’s worth it. Try the menu item Number 49- teriyaki chicken, white rice, vegetables, and two California sushi rolls- definitely good!!!

The food is great, but the staff decided that they want to go home, so they don’t answer the phone after 7pm. You guys close until 7.30pm, I think you should be able to answer phone before you closed.

Called to place an order thinking this was a different California Teriyaki and Sushi. When I asked for a Calamari roll the lady said she didnt know what that was. She didnt say sorry we dont serve that here, she said I dont know what that is like she doesnt know what Calamari is at all. Anyway, I eventually realized I had the wrong resgurant but decided to order from here anyway because it wasnt too far from where I lived and because I was already on the phone with this lady. I got a dragon roll and a California roll because Im basic as hell. When I got the food, the rice was waaay over cooked and the fish was not very fresh... I didnt get food poisoning though so thats why Im giving 2 stars.

Best teriyaki spot in the valley. Bento boxes are a great bargain and delicious. For $12, you get a protein, California Roll, tempura, rice, salad, miso soup and medium drink, cant beat it. Habe been going to this location for over 15 years.

Not the best sushi, but it does suit any sushi craving you might have. This is a fast food sushi joint, but you have the option to dine here if interested. The menu is not too shabby, but I will come here once in a while.
