Cute eatery. Fantastic service along with a fabulous choice of food. The specials board helped me make my decision of the 3 tacos along with the mango margarita for only $5! Each of the tacos were distinct in flavor. The broth that accompanied the tacos brought it altogether. My friend had the nachos and devoured it with my broth. I didnt think he could eat the whole thing but he did! It was enough for 2 people but he said the carne asada was so tender he couldnt stop eating it!

I Really Very Very Strongly Recommend this California Cocina. The First, Taste is Special Good. Second, the Price is Very Reasonable. Third, All of Staff are very Friendly and they prepare ordinary Cutlery.I especially recommend Seabass (Barramundi) Grilled or Cajun served w/ Two Sides in Daily Specials. This menu is on a Whiteboard. I always mainly order Grilled one and choose Salad and Pilaf (Rice). Then I try to make a Hand Roll with a Flour Tortilla.Cut One Quarter of a Big Flour Tortilla, then put on some Stuff. After that Make Hand Roll of Just like a SUSHI !！TASTE is MARVELOUS !！Of Course, it is Possible because of their Yummy Food !！Here in the US, I could eat Delicious Mexican Cuisine the Japanese Way !！So in my case, it is a kind of Fixed Menu that Grilled Seabass and Fish Tacos.This is the reason I dont know much about Another Menu.ーーーーー日本語は今度に。

Who doesnt love a good taco? Well, the Blackened Salmon Tacos are excellent! Paired with their Brussel Sprouts, which are also very flavorful, not much beats that for a lunch or dinner in my humble opinion.The ingredients have always been fresh, no matter the dish that Ive ordered. The their salsa is also fresh and offer mild, medium, and hot!Most of the time I order food here, its the blackened salmon tacos with Brussels. Im eating here about 1x a week right now, probably for the past 3-4 months.

Good food, great selection of proteins for tacos. Battered fish, chicken and shredded meat are my favorite tacos. Two beers for $7.50 are a great value. Nachos with cubed chicken is a meal for two. Friendly counter service. I wish the salsas had more flavor and at least one was more spicy. Parking will be challenging during Peak times.

By far the freshest mexican food Ive tasted. Had the shrimp platter with black beans, chips instead of tortillas. Fresh salsa bar available for you to get as much as you can consume. Every bite was delicious. Daily specials available. They offer alcoholic drinks. Horchata, Jamaica, variety of sodas. Small seating area but service is so great they get you in and out quickly. Offers postmates and grub hub. Worth tasting, its great!

I liked this place! Absolutely much better than the Mexican restaurant that used to be there. My wife and I went for an early dinner (5pm on a Wednesday) and there was no wait. I ordered cheese enchiladas with green sauce and rice and black beans. The green sauce on the enchiladas was delicious! The beans were good but the rice was plain white rice. Huh? Why a Mexican/Hispanic restaurant would serve white rice is beyond me. I dumped a bunch of salsa on the rice and it got better. My wife ordered the meat nachos which was a massive portion and also delicious. They also strangely give you the option to order sides of french fries, sweet potato fries, and........ brussel sprouts. Huh? Maybe the chef is a brussel sprout expert and wanted to add it to the menu LOL! Anyways, the food my wife and I had was delicious and we will return again for sure. (Not 5 stars because of the white rice)

A couple months new but these guys know what their doing. Omg. The roasted brussel sprouts with balsamic vinegarette and coarse salt is too die for! If you like Brussel sprouts then you have to try it here. And if you dont, it might change your mind. Also, the chicken and steak tacos are very hearty. They have a cajun fish plate that looks really good and I will try that on my next visit. I love the complimentary chips and the salsa bar. The place is nice with the big windows so you can take in the street view. They also have outside seating right near the doors. Come soon, because word of mouth is spreading of this diamond in the ruff and later youll have to wait in line to eat here. I wish these guys the best of luck! And say Hi to Alberto. Their Cajun style grilled fish platter was perfectly cooked, really tender & moist mild fish seasoned with savory spices. I had it with the salad with their champagne dressing. The salad had lots of quality ingredients, including candied walnuts, dried cranberries, heirloom cherry tomatoes, cheese and spring greens, not just a wad of iceberg lettuce like some places. Their salsa bar had excellent salsa choices. The red and green salsas had a nice kick and a lot of flavor.

I found a new go-to place! My daughter invited me to try this new place and I love it!! I got a salad that was tasty and healthy. The dressing was light and just right amount, and I love all the ingredients they included. It is a small, casual place, but the food is incredible!

The food is great here and they provide a variety of tasty condiments/salsa that you can help yourself to. Portions are generous and I can easily fill up on two ala carte tacos. The only downside is that the parking lot gets full at times but its not difficult parking nearby and walking in.

Delicious! The shredded beef hard shell taco was exactly what I was hoping for! It was so good. Also, it wasnt soggy at all and I had ordered To Go. We also tried the shrimp taco, it was HUGE! It was stuffed full of shrimp and had an awesome creme sauce. It was delicious. Added bonus, the chips are great and they have a mini salsa bar! Ill definitely be going back.

Taco Tuesdays here are hard to beat. At $2.25, you get a decent sized taco with great quality ingredients. Really appreciate that they do hard tacos as well! Salsa bar is pretty standard but checks all the boxes. I come here just about every Tuesday.

Very nice staff -- but the food dissapointed us. We had the days special, enchiladas mole, and the mole was overly sweet without the nuances of many other flavors that a good mole should have. The rice was just bland steamed white rice, and the entire platter was not piping hot for some reason. We also had meat nachos, which were subpar because the dish came to us with lukewarm melted cheese and big, grisley, tough cubes of chicken.

I came in for lunch while staying nearby for work and had the Cajon fish taco and shrimp taco combo plate with rice and beans. DELICIOUS!! Amazing value as well as the plate comes with a soda (I had the pineapple cream flavor…again, delicious) and it just hit the spot while sitting at a table on a sunny day and watching cars drive past! The worst Mexican food Ive had. Went today for the first time for taco Tuesday and will be the last time. The crispy shredded beef tacos were horrible the shredded beef had no flavor tasted like it came out of a can of water to where it dropped out water and made the taco shell super soggy. The taco shell looked and tasted like it came premade out of a box. I ordered 3 didnt even finish 1 1/2 of them. My wife ordered 2 chicken 1crispy and 1 soft both the same as mine HORRIBLE

We really like this place. Workers are all very nice. Love the Mole Enchiladas. Their tacos all taste fresh. Kids love the baja fish tacos. Chicken and carnitas are faves too. Lots of meat. Just lettuce and tomato and cheese for toppings. Salsas are yummy!! Disclaimer- the tacos are like healthy Americanized BUT sometimes you need a healthier taco. The salsas and mole are not American ized. They taste like the real deal. We could eat their chips and red salsa all the time! They dont have all the extras that my Mexican husband likes but he does like their food. Probably because he knows they are better for him...wink wink! Last time we were there the cashier said they are doing their own homemade chorizo tacos now and it was so good! Not greasy like most chorizo and it looked like real meat. Came here with a friend and got tacos and brussel sprouts. I cant recommend the Brussels sprouts enough! Dont stop in here without getting those.For the tacos, we each got three and that was a little too much food with the Brussels. My two favorite tacos were the Cajun fish and the vegetarian.Interestingly, the vegetarian comes with black beans, white rice, avocado, lettuce, and pico. It was a cold and rainy Sunday Feb 9, 2020 afternoon, when we decided to visit the California Cocina. We live about 3 miles away, and have passed this location many times, but never stopped. This time, as we got out of the car, at the small parking lot, with our umbrella, we closed it before entering the corner restaurant. We walked up to the Public Counter and I ordered the special of the day..Sea Bass and my wife ordered the Shrimp dinner. Both were excellent, the dish included tortillas and two side orders. The order taker was friendly and answered our questions as to what was included in the order. He gave us a number to put on the table, and brought the food to us. We got a visit from the chef, he checked on us to see, if every thing was ok. We told him, it was great ! . We noticed a salsa bar with three different strength salsas and other condiments like onions and Cilantro. We took advantage of the onions and the mild salsa. It was mild for my Albuquerque New Mexico ( a Green Chile eater from birth ) wife, but it was hot for me ( my Mom did not cook with Chile ) . We noticed the tables are cleaned, immediately when the patrons leave the table. Everything was clean. The soda fountain included a couple of extra different drinks...like Agave Vanilla soda...which i got, it was good.There was a single old timer adjacent to us, who over heard our conversation. He knew it was our first time there. He comes to this restaurant often and advised us to get the business card that get a punch out every time you order a meal, when you order the 10th meal, one of the meals is free. Dont forget that punch out card, if you are going to be a regular at this restaurant, like us.I gave the casual, order at the counter type Mexican food restaurant a five...in this restaurant category.
