The customer service is great! I wish I obtained the young mans name that was at the register while we were doing self order. He was very pleasant and attentive. I ordered the catfish, white rice and rosemary zucchini. I didnt care for the Zucchini only because rosemary is strong. Spent $21

Fish and chips was crisp and very tasty!Loved the Lime-cilantro slaw!! The Rosemary zucchini was also a nice flavor combination. Service was a bit slow, but no other complaints. Would definitely return.

I ordered a shrimp bowl with cauliflower rice. The shrimp was good, however the rice was super mushy and watery. It completely ruined my meal.I really wanted to like this place but considering that cauliflower rice is over $2 extra and cooked down to pudding I won’t be coming back.

This place is fantastic. Came here for fathers day and I forgot my credit card at the self service kiosk. The young man at the register, Michael, was extremely helpful, and was willing to drop what he was doing to help me manually upload the whole order to his ipad to receive my order with cash, with a positive attitude as well. That kind of service is above and beyond what I would expect anybody to offer, let alone someone who sees customers all day every day.Asides from the already positive note about the service, the actual restaurant is fantastic. The restaurant is clean, the system is fast, they are well staffed, and my goodness the food. We ordered giant shrimp, sea bass, calamari, barramundi, tacos, everything and it all came out quickly and plating was nice. The food flavor was fantastic, and I couldnt imagine a more bang for your buck experience. Nowhere else that I know of does seafood this good this cheap.They had a young woman who just cleaned and prepped tables, carried trays for people, and was in general just very helpful! Almost felt like tableside service. I cannot emphasize enough how pleasant our experience was. We have been going here for years at this point and we have never had anything less than a stellar experience, just today was so great I finally wrote a review.Pictured is the seabass with tomato and feta and white rice.

The fish grill needs to decide if they are a sit-down restaurant or a fast food joint. The food is great, but they make you order it using their kiosk. So, with no training using their system, you have to order your food. This creates a backup when ordering. Then, you have to pick up the food when they call your name. I wont mention they still ask for a tip for fast food service.

Ordered the salmon plate with brown rice, which was extra. The brown rice was significantly undercooked to the point where it could possibly damage your teeth. I talked to an employee about this and they said brown rice is rougher than white rice, which didnt make sense, but they offered a side of white rice.I could not enjoy my meal because the brown rice grain was everywhere. The salmon and zucchini were good, although every bite was like biting into tiny rocks due to the undercooked rice.This is my first time trying CFG. I may not be back for a while.

Im from the Pacific Northwest. I love good fish and chips. Unfortunately California Fish Grill underwhelmed. The breading was light and crisp, but lacked any flavor. The fish was listed as white fish instead of cod and had a heavier texture to it than cod. Before arriving, I mistakenly thought the grill was a restaurant, but it is actually more of an upscale takeout place. There is seating but you order at the counter. Many items on my order were forgotten and I had to keep returning to the counter to get both items that were forgotten as well as items that should have been included automatically (like napkins and utensils).The clam chowder also was nothing to get excited about. Overall, everything was adequate, but not a place I would go out of my way to return to.

Food great! The price is awesome for fish! And kids food is great! Only thing I wish they had for kids was more veggie options maybe broccoli?But other than that no complaints! Love itOkay 11months later...And now the review is different.From 5 stars to 3 stars.Price is still good. But the taste is a bit plain, my wife, son and I immediately realized this once we started eating.The skin on my wifes salmon was a bit too burnt for her taste, but I did ask for well done salmon.I ordered the Sea bass, not bad but not enough sauce from the new hawaiian BBQ sauce. Speaking of which. OMG must ask for the Hawaiian BBQ Glaze!!! I dont know why they dont have this as a sauce to put over the food! But It does come as a dipping sauce for the new shrimp but yes! A totally must have to try if you havent.Little of a let down to be honest from a family driving 5 hours to visit and going out of our way to grab delicious food.We will give it another try in the future, but hopefully next time it will be better!

We ordered four orders to go: two catfish, one salmon, and a giant shrimp. We used the app when ordering, and our meals were ready in the time promised. Everything was cooked properly and tasted great. I opted for the premium side of asparagus and was glad that I did. Our only quibble was that my sister would have preferred that her shrimp had the exoskeleton completely peeled off. But that minor issue did not detract from our meals and we will certainly return.

What happened. The portion size of the kids fish, was so small. Guess theyve cut back on portion size. Will need to consider ordering the adult portion in the future, that is if I order again. Never has the kids portion been so small and not only small, but broken pieces.
