The food was fresh and made perfectly. We had a decent sized group with all ordering different dishes. Everyone loved their order. The staff was kind and attentive. I went 2 days in a row. I cant wait to go back.

My first time here.Cashier was very nice, offered us their strawberry mint drink which was awesome...I had the jumbo shrimp with the rice and brussel sprouts.. very pleased.. my hubby had the salmon with rice and fries everything was superb. Will be definitely going back to try different meals.

Good food well cook fast service when ordered by phone . Place was clean . Relatively newer . The portions werent as they should have been they are getting tigher however still a better deal than chipotle . Expect to pay 12 to 16$ ish per plates depending the fish your order . Its on the pricey side but everything taste fresh . Rice was very buttery and well cooked . This specific location has a dine out area ( which is good if you have a dog ) however your view will be the parking lot . Plenty of parking space around

I had the Cajun fish tacos with brown rice and zucchini with rosemary. The fish was mild tasting with a very sturdy yet pliable corn tortilla and delicious slightly spicy toppings. The green roasted tomatillo salsa was tasty and not too hot. Red salsa was also not hot. The rice was plain but had a good flavor. I also ate my husbands beans, which were good and nicely seasoned. The only problem I had was that the zucchini was cold and not salty enough and the rice was barely warm. I dont like taking food back so I just ate it. They had a good selection of sodas snd tea at the beverage bar, including root beer and creme soda. A staff person came and asked if I wanted them to take my tray away when I finished, which was very nice. The next time I go, I will ask them to make my sides hotter and also plan to try the grilled and seasoned asparagus, which is an upgrade but looked delish.

I ordered from this place thru Postmates. I have to say everything traveled pretty well but the fries. We got the fried catfish combo with sweet potato fries and street corn, then the Atlantic salmon with regular fries and white rice, some clam chowder and also The Stubborn soda Agave Vanilla Cream soda. I enjoyed everything but my soggy fries. The soda seemed questionable but it was surprisingly really good.

Ordered food, when it was ready the salmon bowl and dynamite fries were cold. They had it remade and offered a free starter for the problem which was nice but declined. When food came back it was hot and made fresh, had not been out in a microwave to reheat

Came here for the first time with some friends. Neither of us had been here so we didnt have many expectations nor did we know the menu. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and patient. I liked the small hit of spice to my specific meal, as well as the nice presentation. Food was great, and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is into seafood. Looking forward to going there once again. They also happen to have an interest selection of sodas, Im not in particular a soda drinker, but the different availabilities were nice.

The reason for two stars is because the salmon meals I ordered were over cooked, salmon should never be over cooked, the fish was very dried. The meal was to go, so I could not complain since I was already home, so I basically ended up throwing my meals away. That was a pricy little trip.

Food is pretty good, but their service is so disrespectful. a common courtesy for delivery orders is to include cutlery and sauces in the bag. Our order of 5 items did not include a SINGLE piece of cutlery, and the food was so dry because it needs sauce, which normally comes included at any California fish grill location. The service here needs to be better, and they should be ashamed of themselves honestly. We ordered delivery because we work night shift at a hospital and theres no access to cutlery anywhere.

Getting 2 stars because the food I received was cooked correctly and to order. Dont bother coming here, Ive been here multiple times and had a problem with my order EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Last straw was today when they told me my to go order was ready by text (and I was sitting directly in front of the counter) but the only bag on the counter wasnt mine. So I got a call, had to turn around and go back, get my order... and when I got home the upcharged Brussels sprouts I ordered werent even in the bag. Every time I come to this one, somethings missing, something isnt done the way it was ordered, etc. Literally drive the extra distance to go to the one in Redlands, the staff is actually attentive and makes sure that your order is correct the FIRST time.

As many of the other commentators have noted, there are serious problems with customer service at this location. While the food itself is usually ok, it is significantly below the standards of the other locations. It is highly advisable to check on the status of your order here, and always always always check theyre actually giving you what you ordered. With the pandemic I try and be understanding and recognize when people are trying their best. However the servers are not even trying to perform basic customer service, and care even less if they make a mistake. I would strongly suggest visiting another location.

Usually a great experience. However, I was disappointed in my kaleslaw. They OBVIOUSLY changed it, and lessened the kale, but had the audacity to tell me it was on the bottom, which it was not. If you have to search for it, then dont call it a KALEslaw, but coleslaw garnished with kale. Then it wouldnt be misleading, therefore a disappointment. Still love you guys, but lets get back to things.

I also asked for my fish to be fried harder than usual, but that wasnt done either. The food was REALLY good. We tried the fish taco, beramundi, and the fried catfish. We got for sides, the brussle sprouts, the street corn, the sweet potato fries and the dynamite fries. We did also try the clay chowder. Everything had great flavor! The best things out of everything we got was the brussle sprouts and the clam chowder. The clam chowder was thin but the flavor was on point and creamy. I honestly think its the closest to real clam chowder Ive had here so cal. The flavor was buttery and creamy and was some of the best Ive ever had. We will be back for sure.

Sweet potato fries were good but not crispy.There is a patio area if you like sitting outdoors. The setup is walk up counter and order off the menu above. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready and you pick it up at the counter.I ate in the restaurant but was still given plastic fork and spoon set when they had real silverware available. I ended up getting the real silverware myself. When I asked for an additional plate, the lady behind the counter acted annoyed. Maybe because it was later in the day but the ladies working werent friendly. I guess I just miss customer service...

I have been eyeballing this place for a couple weeks now when i go to lunch, I finally decided to go check it. Am I ever glad i did it was outstanding, I had the grilled shrimp and swai combo with Chipotle and cajun sauce. It was like angels made it!. My first impression was good but a bit pricey for fast food. Yet Ive come back three more times in the past year. Everything is prepared well, the portions are highly satisfying, and the staff is very attentive to customers. My only critique might be that the sound level at the registers is a bit high. A few times the person who took my order has misheard and had to correct it afterward. This, however, was done without hesitation and they were very quick to fix the order. The sauce bar has a wide variety of choices to customize your meal, among which I particularly enjoy the house remoulade. There are plenty of menu choices - even some great alternatives for the one person in your party who hates fish. I dont drink alcohol, but the six choices of craft soda at the drink fountain are excellent. But going back to the main attraction - this place has the most seafood choices of any restaurant where you dont order at your table, and so far all the ones Ive tried have tasted better than the nicer places and cost less. Definitely worth a try if youre fond of fish, and I wager youll most likely come back for more.

The food here is good, the only complaint would be them rationing their specialty drink to half a cup. Realistically to make the drink cost less then the price of two drinks. Lets exaggerate and say less then 10 drinks. The amount of the specialty lemonade they make they made their profit after 30 minutes of opening their door if they have a steady customer base. (I have never seen an empty CFG). I believe the half a cup or the unwillingness to give larger sizes is a bad idea.

My husband and I loved going to this place until recently. We went for a much needed date and ordered almost $50.00 worth of food. When we got ready to pay all we had was $100 bills. The young lady then told us they do not accept bills over $20.00. She then stated that we could go buy something at another place and come back. Always enjoy California Fish Grill and have gone to a few of there locations. I came in because The Habit across the way was too busy to serve me so I saw this location. Service was great. Friendly and personable 👍 the wait for my order ( Salmon Cajon Salad ) was okay but when I got it noticed the salmon was dry and burned. So maybe next time I will try something different

This is a nice place with good food. Theres not a lot of indoor seating so Im not sure how long the wait is on a weekend. There were a few tables on the patio though. I couldnt give five stars because the manager didnt know if they used monosodium glutamate in their batter. He said they had already thrown out the bag and wouldnt know the answer until the next day.

The food was excellent, however the server Madrigal needs to work on the accuracy of his order taking and his manners. He pushed the door open while my wife was leaving and it hit her as it closed. Fortunately she was not seriously injured. He then went on to have a conversation with an employee in front of the entrance as if nothing had happened. It was embarrassing to say the least and on Mothers Day. He needs training on customer service and order taking. May not return.

I was standing in front of the register for 15 minutes,I never been there before so I didn’t know the line starts along the wall. A few seconds after a group of people walked in the people standing in front of me were done ordering. And I was told to go to the back of the line,after standing in front of the register in clear view of the cashier. Simple minded people believe there is no such thing as new customers,their brains don’t think that far ahead of things. Never going to this place again. Good portions, great food! We tried the scallops, sea bass and salmon. Each were cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. Honestly we were all very surprised. This restuarant is an order at the counter, sit down and then go up and pick up your order sort of place but the food was so good. For sides we tried kaleskaw, sweet potatoes fries, fried zucchini, normal fries and rice. All were very good with the normal fries and rice being ok. To top it off they have specialty sodas. The two we tried were very good. We went on a Saturday at about 4pm so it was pretty busy with very few tables available. Staff was very busy but still polite and helpful. Our plates with entree and two sides were about $12 each with generous portions. My wife did not finish her salmon but my daughter and I each polished off our meals and were quite satisfied. We are already planning a return trip!

Came in with my family to order some food to go (to support the local business during the pandemic) and when it was time to pick up our order I noticed we were missing an item. I mentioned to the staff member my soup was missing. She was upset I told her we were missing an item and she turned around to get the soup. I ask her if she included a spoon and she turn around and completely ignored us. My hubby had to get the spoon from the manager. I communicated with the manager one of her staff was extremely rude. Manager apologized on her behalf and that was it. We will not be coming back to this California Fish grill.

Went here and had a decent experience food had good flavor and really ni complaints. 4/5. However went again order the exact same thing and it was a completely different experience. Food was bland and very mushy. I recieved 1/5 the amount of food I did the first time. Very little rice, very little fries. I recieved 3 pieces of brussel sprouts. Since they are half slices that is 1.5 brussel sprouts where the time before it was 6-8. Calamari was extremely salty, and the asparagus, where huge. Not a good thing you lose alot of flavor and texture when they are that overgrown. Overall food was bland and distasteful. 1/5. To have such a drastic change in food quality within a week is concerning since I dont know if my food will be good or bad. Thus will likely not return

My second time here, both after a movie at the Harkin. First time I had the grilled scallops with the garlic butter sauce. This time I had the large grilled shrimp with butter garlic sauce with rice and grilled zucchini. Totally enjoyable and delicious. Considering the size of the portion which is more like a good snack the food is prepared really well, the plate is presented beautifully too. I wish they included a bun and butter. So, for the price it’s a bit inadequate. I can’t imagine this being enough food for a grown man.

I ordered the cajun ahi with the upgrades of asparagus and brussel sprouts, the brussel sprouts are amazing, the asparagus was a little over done for my taste and chewy but the flavor was there. I was throughly impressed with the staff! They were consistently walking around bussing tables, cleaning, and making sure the guests were satisfied. Lately the food hasn’t been as good. Brown rice half cooked or maybe from day before. Brussels sprouts tasted old and seemed dry. My salmon was super dry and looked like it was cooked twice. This CFG is dissappointing compared to the one in Redlands. The choices of fish is less. The salmon was dry and had a fishy smell. The kids meal fried fish gave only one piece of fish cut in half and fried separately making it look like 2 pieces vs at Redlands you get two whole pieces. They served Nestle water with the kids meal vs at Redlands you get Avian water. Also, dont say your food will be ready in 10 minutes if it is going to take longer. Thats why I order ahead to save time, but then you you give false promises.
