Im at California Fish Grill like every week, and its always awesome. Their fish is cooked perfect every time. I usually go for the salmon and coconut shrimp or the tilapia. You get a huge portion, I sometimes just eat half and save for later.The catfish is awesome too!The staff rocks. Theyre super friendly and make you feel right at home. Chill vibes, this place is a must-try. It definitely keeps me coming back for more!

Huge fan of fish and found this gem within walking distance of the hotel we were staying at (hilton @ woodland hills) while we were there for 2 weeks. had this maybe 5-6 times in 2 weeks and absolutely loved the choices of fish available.it’s very difficult to make fish great, especially when it’s almost expected to get dry fish every time you order fish out, but this was surprisingly tender and delicious. the cajun seasoning was on point!their amazing selection of side dishes were great too, i especially liked the asparagus and brussels sprouts. serving of fish was quite generous with 2 fillets per order and could easily fill me up! great for calorie watchers too since each full meal was barely 600 cals!the side of coconut shrimp and grilled shrimp was great too - would highly recommend.overall, if you love fish, definitely give this place a try - i loved it so much i had it almost everyday!

So I have to start with the fact that Ive recently been to their Newport Beach location and really enjoyed the food and location. So I thought Id visit their location in Woodland Hills.To start, I thought they had several wild caught options. The worker told me that they only have 2 wild caught options, the ahi ahi tuna, and cant recall the other. I was too disappointed to even listen when I heard her say 2. Because I asked her why the menus dont indicate which dishes are wild caught.Then, as we are ordered, the cooks shout no more white rice. Thats what I love to have with my fish! How does a restaurant run out of RICE??? Thats beyond embarrassing. Its like McDonalds running out of fries.Then, we get a text that our food is ready only to find our its not and that their system went down and texted everyone that their food was ready when it wasnt. They asked us and everyone else for a receipt, but we didnt select the option to have the kiosk print a receipt.After checking a couple more times, 2 of our 3 dishes were ready, and they said they would bring us the 3rd dish.The sea bass I ordered was overcooked and stiff. The dining room was a mess. Many tables had trash or dishes on them, etc. This location just seems so poorly run. After having just been to their NB location, I would have thought that these 2 locations cant be the same company!! Just a mess of a location.

My friend ordered some food to go to take with us to wine tasting. It was really tasteful and refreshing. We ordered chicken, salmon, and rice, roasted zucchini, and a salad. The Cajun and garlic butter sauce were great finishing touches to the proteins.

I eat here 3 times a week at least. The food is always cooked perfect. Service is great. Vanesa is the best. She memorized all my orders and gets me extra sauce before I ask, as well as everyone else. Great energy. Great prices too. Its only $11.75 for a huge meal of fish and 2 sides.

California Fish Grill is the place to go for fast, affordable, delicious seafood, on a budget. It doesnt break the bank but delivers on your seafood cravings. Ive tried a couple of their entrees and have only been disappointed with their fried shrimp and calamari. It got hard and chewy pretty fast. I love their rice choices. Especially the cauliflower rice for those healthier days.

The Old fashioned was the only thing that was good when had lunch here. The fish and chips were absolutely disgusting. The batter wasnt even cooked all the way through, so it was mushy and very greasy. The tacos werent bad but the tortilla couldnt even last past the first bite before completely crumbling making a large mess and not very appealing to say the least. The out door seating area is beautiful. I would recommend eating elsewhere. This is a good place for drinks, enjoying the view and beautiful weather.

I go to the Canoga Park location... EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! Its perfect. 11.75 for tilapia plate, you cant get anything more healthy and perfectly cooked for that price. Its cheaper than fast food. Ive lost approx 15 pounds just eating their every day for last 2 years. Maricio the manager and the rest of the staff are 5 star service. Always a smile and helpful. They treat me like one of their own because Im there so much and they memorized my order with 2 extra garlic butter sauces in my bag every time. I love it.
