Came here with my friend after a day of shopping. We ordered the Spicy Buffalo cauliflower for our appetizer, a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and the Cedar Plank Salmon. Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower was a bit watery, so when we bit into it, it was mostly water.. I’ve had cauliflower bites that were a little more dehydrated then that so it just felt like kind of eating water but the Buffalo had great flavor. The pizza was standard. Nothing special but good. And the Cedar Plank Salmon was a smoked salmon cooked on a cedar plank with really good flavor. It was served with a side of spinach and corn succotash that was really fresh and tasty. The server was super tentative to us but it wasn’t that busy. The restaurant was pretty empty and kind of dark inside. Over al good experience but kind of overpriced.

California Pizza Kitchen was a satisfying experience! 🍕 Their pizzas hit the spot, and I appreciated that they were accommodating, swapping out meat for veggies. The only hiccup was after we finished dining; no one attended to us for the check. A minor inconvenience in an otherwise great visit. 🍽️👌

Bad service, bad and expensive food, watch out for future Costco not only their food is much better but way less expensive. I was able to take a pic of the pizza they were going to give me all burned out, they had to remake it. I dont recommend this place, I am done period.

Went on a Thursday after work, it wasn’t very busy. We were taken care of well, got our drink orders, sides of ranch, bread and butter. We got a Garlic Chicken Pizza and The Works Pizza. I liked the Works Pizza more than the Garlic Chicken. Overall solid place

Overall its pretty good. The food is just as quality as any other location. My only issue is that the service can be a little disorganized and inconsistent. Mostly because its in the middle of a mall. They want you to wait for a host to seat you, but when I arrived I had to wait for 15 min before anyone even saw I was there. Not personally a deal breaker, but good info to have.

Food today was not as good as previously. Chicken was a little overcooked and pasta a little undercooked. Starter dumplings were chewy and dry. Ice tea had too much ice.Music is great, though! And service is excellent.Ill try again another time.

Very Convenient to the location where I stayed at and food is good. I ordered chicken tequilla and it was delicious. However I feel like Pizza is always a must when you come to CPK to complete the experience. Drinks in the menu is pretty fire as well. I am glad that this location is so close to me here in North County

The service is great but the pizza and artichoke dip was disappointing. The pizza could have been cooked longer; I got The Works and the veggies hardly tasted cooked. And my husband got the California Club and it ended up looking like a salad. The artichoke dip was runny and the chips werent anything to rave about. There was also a thin, cooled layer on the top of the artichoke dip that made it look and taste as though it had been sitting for a bit of time. Just not what we were hoping for. However, the drinks were good and the service was great.

Service is appallingly slow, possibly due to the design of the place not being conducive to the wait staff. Its too long and spread out, and a third of the seating is behind a wall.Update 11/12/2022: Food is decent although I only order the kung pao spaghetti because the pizza is forgettable. Service is still terrible. No place settings. They have a rewards system but no one to support it so we had to wait forever for the manager to come off his break.

Weve been at the Escondido CPK other times and was ok. This time unfortunately wasnt. Weve ordered Margarita/bbq chicken pizza and a summer salad that has strawberries. The pizza was extremely soggy, tomato sauce for the Margarita pizza?? You almost couldnt see the dough. The salad.... I believe they had mixed the olive oil and vinegar, way before it was served, so the greens looked old and the strawberries were tasting old and also soggy. Unfortunately it wasnt a positive dinner and experience. Maybe a different and not experienced chef??

The staff was nice. It seemed as though our waitress was a little overwhelmed as the manager was helping us. The manager (Im guessing since he was wearing nicer clothes) was great! However....the food.... First of all, I got excited about Well bring your bread as soon as it comes out of the oven. When we got it a few minutes later, it was hardly warm. And four tiny slices? Really? I was expecting something more like Old Spaghetti Factory. Nope. The dipping oil it came with had seasonings in the bottom, but they were tasteless. Truly it was like dipping your crust in plain oil. So, in all actuality I didnt mind the tiny amount of bread because 2 pieces were sufficient. Then the pizza came. Heads up- the pepperoni is spicy and the cheese is used sparingly. The pizza was mediocre at best. Im hard pressed to find anything I liked about it. CPK has a nice atmosphere, and once inside you forget you are at a mall. Honestly, the staff and atmosphere are the only reason it got any stars.

This is a really nice restaurant and if you like their pizza is even better. They have a nice menu with small plates, main entrees, pastas, steak, salmon, salads and personal pizzas. The pizza dough has a really good taste and I would recommend any pizza they make. This location has a bar outside the restaurant but inside the mall where you can enjoy sport events. Their prices are reasonably okay but i cant complain much as their food is good.

California Pizza Kitchen at Westfield North County is one of their newer modern restaurants. You can sit in their restaurant or at a bar located in the center of the mall.I always enjoy their pizza / salad lunch meal. You lunch is usually served within 10 minutes of ordering.Have a great lunch or dinner at this CPK.

This location is pretty good. Ive been here 3 times and twice they forgot to put my points in the app. If you make a stop at Costco in San Marcos, they usually have discounted cpk cards. Its something like two $50 gift cards for $79.99 or something, which is a sweet 20% off. You can use other coupons and stack credit card cash back to really make the meal worth it!

Great meeting place between Temecula and San Diego. We bring our dog and sit outside.I found the company because theyre great to veterans on Veterans Day and otherwise.Nice place to go on your birthday as they have a variety of foods and desserts for everyone. Their bread and oil is also very yummy, just dont fill up before your entree is delivered! And if you do, its not a problem, just take your pizza home. Oven reheating directions are right on the box! 🍕The food here is great! Also try their flavored teas. 😉

One of the best experiences Ive ever had. Were always treated with courtesy and never have been turned down. Look for Nick, hes the best, although everyone else is very kind. And yes, food I wonderful. Have been there a couple of times and will return.-----------We promised to.come back and here we are outside the restaurant but this time we were treated different, we requested sake table as usual and I also requested to speak to Nick whos always been helpful but this time they didnt even let me talk to him stating he was on the clock. I stated theyve always been helpful with sitting us at a certain area and this time they refused, the guy who called the shot said he was the manager... The whole thing was now the opposite as the previous 7 visits. U head to sneak through the other door to tell Nick I appreciated his work but we werent treated right, he apologized and I could tell by his response he could do nothing thus time, I told him I was sorry but was never coming back to this particular restaurant.Whoever reads this posts know that managers like this ruins businesses. Super disappointed and we drove 20 miles for nothing.

Took several minutes before someone came to the front desk to even see how many were in our party. Then told us it was 30 mins for a table in a more than half empty restaurant in a mall on a Tuesday lunchtime. There were 10 other people waiting behind us. Most of them left too when they heard how long the wait time was. Went to Red Robin at the other end of the mall which was very busy and got seated right away. Badly run and managed restaurants like this CPK in Escondido mall will not last.

Had the cauliflower crust, and it was pretty good! Overall, the food was great. However, they were, like many places, limited in staffing. It took too long for the pizzas to come out. They gave us some bread, and thankfully we werent in a hurry. I might still go back, as the food was good. I hope they can fix the staffing problem in the future.

Party of 5. Overall poor experience. Server showed up talking on her headset and standing at our table for at least a minute in a discussion with someone before she acknowledged us even though she was right there as if to take our order. Server also did not know menu items. Asked for pizza that had sliced tomatoes and basil and she brought me marguerite pizza which was just a 4 cheese pizza--no sliced tomatoes with very little flavor. My Salad had zero dressing on it, as well as my friends salad so we had to request that and wait a long time. To be fair, salads would have been good if they had put dressing on them. She Forgot to bring requested items from my friends like red pepper for pizza. She did not check back to refill our waters and sodas until we had finished our meal. We all agreed the service was poor and the food was just ok. We will go somewhere else next time.

Brought my son here for his birthday. Got seated but then no one bother to take our order. I had to flag down a waiter to order our food. Then we were left waiting for our food and drinks! But the table next to us who came in 25 mins AFTER us had their food and drinks brought to them before us😳!!! And our bread was cold and stale! It was our first time there!!! Maybe we were mistaken for someone else? Or we were not of the correct race to be eaten there?!? What I am overly offended by is manager Francisco Duron’s attitude and repeated statement “not my liability” that your pizza is not correct. Love CPK. This one is located in a Mall. A bit noisy and dark this location, sound bounces around everywhere. There is a seperate section, nearby- attached, with a bar located in the middle of the interior courtyard of this mall. So if you like passersby looking at you eating, or patrons of the mall on upper floors looking down on you, then no worries.Not the intimate feeling one gets when visiting other CPKs that are seperate building restaurants.The food is as expected. Pizza came out cold, only complaint. Taste great. Salad and pasta fantastic.

I really miss the oriental chicken salad, they took it off there menu long time back and there is nothing even close to being as delicious as that was.My last visit there everything we got was just ok. With the appetizer being the best of everything which was avocado rolls. The BBQ pizza was just ok and the thi chicken salad was blah.For overall flavor to value it was really poor for 3 adults ordering 1 appetizer and three meals with no drinks it is over $82.

CPK can be a bit pricey (especially with large families), but is always tasty. I had the Mediterranean side salad with 1/2 California Club (lunch combo). The salad was a bit over-dressed, but still good. Usually the service isnt the best, however, Kevin was out server this time, and he was great! He was attentive, but not intrusive, and got all of our orders correct (surprising since he didnt write them down). He also brought refills when needed (but we didnt have to ask).

I cant believe they would employ a person who acts like that and mistreats their staff. We were at the Escondido Mall location about 2 weeks before Christmas, and ordered a variety of food:, asparagus/arugula salad, chicken/Brie flatbread, spinach artichoke dip, a spicy-thin crust pizza, 2 kids meals, wine and beer from bar. Service was extremely slow, from being seated, to receiving food. And we arrived shortly after they opened. They weren’t busy, and were adequately staffed, to the point that servers were simply standing around or just walking around. Although our waiter was very nice, an overall sense of urgency and attention to detail seems to be lacking in the entire restaurant. We repeatedly had to ask for our appetizer, drinks, food, etc... Taste, flavor, quality of food was excellent. Management needs to step up their game WRT hiring/training, in particular in a location that has the potential to be busy with holiday shoppers.

My children had a behind the scenes field trip here. We got to go into the kitchen (which was very clean) and make/eat pizza. The pizza was really good, food was reasonably priced. Food is always great, and the place is very clean, but the service is really lacking.Today at 4:05 I walked up and overheard a waitress say someone backed out of their shift. So I can understand why, even without a line or without being busy, I had a 12 minute wait to even be seated. I work retail, I get that things happen, and I’m totally ok with waiting.What does bother me is that I was not once acknowledged the entire time I stood there. An awkward 12 minutes of watching 3 or 4 younger waitresses having a conversation about someone missing their shift, or not wanting to wait tables that aren’t in the same area. While I stood there. Right at the front table. Just kinda... awkwardly staring and waiting for a “sorry but we will be right with you”.Come on, guys.(Sierra, my waitress, was great though!)

I was wary of this place, having heard many reviews that were so-so. I really enjoyed it though, broccoli on pizza was awesome! Maybe you could make better pizza at home but its highly unlikely. We kept going back here because I believe in giving chances but this just got ridiculous. First time my husband ordered his favorite chicken tequila and was very dry. The person preparing his plate forgot to add the sauce. We asked the server and the food was made again. 2nd time there I ordered the suchinni scampi and that dish was missing the sauce and it did not taste like scampi. There was no flavor whatsoever. The server brought me some sauce to add to my dish. The 3rd time husband ordered again the chicken tequila and they forgot to add the chicken. I again gave that suchinni scampi a try and same deal ...there was no sauce, no flavor.This weekend we were craving cpk and we decided to skip Escondido and go to Carmel mountain.
