We havent eaten at CPK for a while, so this was an opportunity to see if weve been missing anything. We ordered a California Veggie Pizza, Jambalaya Linguini Fini, and Mexican Street Corn. The to go service was excellent, very fast, friendly staff, and it was ready earlier than expected.Honestly though, the food was just, meh...I mean, if Im going to pay $19.00 for a veggie pizza and $25.00 for a pasta dish, totallying $55.00, I would rather go to a non-chain restaurant (if thats a word), and get a higher quality meal.Sorry CPK, your staff is awesome, but based on price, quality, and taste, Id rather eat at Capones all day for the same price. 😱Anyone agree?

Service was good. Food tasted ok. But everything was served stone cold. The pizzas had probably been sitting out for at least 10 minutes before being served. The butter cake was fresh from the refrigerator instead of being served hot. Overall really frustrating.

I will not be dinning here Again! The Service was so bad, extremely slow and inattentive! We received unsanitized greasy menus. Our Server never came to check how the food came out, we were waiting on Cheese and Red Pepper for our Pizzas and by the time he came by our pizza was cold. We wanted more drinks and again he was too busy. We ended up getting our check from the Host. I spent over $90 for Bad Service and Cold Food. It was a Horrible Experience. I hope you find my review helpful and it prevents you from making the same mistake. Save your Money!

What has happened to CPK? Our server Noah was the best thing about the place. The wild mushroom pizza was boring the crust was lacking in much memorable flavor. Toppings were mild and we added shrimp because they got rid of the shrimp garlic scampi pizza. Overall pizza was 5/10. The shrimp scampi zucchini ribbon pizza was lacking any flavor in the sauce even though things were in the pasta. It tasted like mac and cheese without the cheese. Can’t believe how bad this pasta dish was despite asking for extra garlic. It feels like this chain is in it for the stockholder profits at this point. Nobody from management eats here regularly to see how the food is. I asked for the manage and he was a temporary manager who listened and seemed to care but I know he’s isn’t going to do anything to improve the quality. It feels like they have cheapened the ingredients and made the preparation so simple that anyone can make a pizza so they don’t pay them well to make a delicious pizza. Super disappointed and only 3 stars because of our server otherwise would be 1 star. Avoid CPK unless you like boring chain food that is getting less flavorful by the year. Sorry to say this about CPK used to love gong here. The manager took the shrimp scampi dish off our bill because we only had a few bites but wow someone from management with tastebuds should secret shop this location and try the food made by different cook staff. Maybe we got unlucky because we asked to extra garlic or staff just screwed up but it’s likely the ingredients and the prep that have been minimized so profits for shareholders can be maximized. Olive garden was a little bit better only because of the salad and breadsticks. Even CPK bread is just super weak.

Ran in to CPK for a quick lunch w/ some coworkers. Food was served fast and hot. I hope the new Watermelon drink they have. It was just ok, the watermelon flavor wasnt strong enough. I like that it wasnt super sweet but if it didnt have the pieces of fruit sticking out I wouldnt know it was watermelon! I also had the lunch Pizza and salad. The Thai Chicken Crunch salad is amazing. I will get that again for sure. The pepperoni pizza was good but a little greasy...but it is pizza and pepperoni. That is like asking a duck not to quack...lol. I will be back for more of that salad!!

The place was dead at 8pm. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes before someone approached me. I ordered a Thai chicken pizza to go since it was late and it looked like they were closing. I waited nearly 30 minutes for it. I ate a slice in the car and it was completely cold. Only the very bottom of the crust was warm and the chicken slices were hard and dried out. It tasted like it was baked and cooled 20 minutes ago after being refrigerated the day before. Waste of money and not worth the $20! Ive gotten better pizza from Dominos.

We have been there several times before and have Never had the same problem that I had this day. I asked for the veggies to be cooked on the Pizza and not cold on top. I have asked for this at other CPK with out problem. The first picture is what it is supposed to look like but the second and third pictures are two DIFFERENT Pizzas they made for me.

The food and wait staff were both excellent. We had the lunch special and ordered two Take n Bake full size pizzas to take home for $8 ea! Atmosphere lost 2 stars because I always freeze in the Huntington Beach location!! Ive heard other diners complain too.

The lettuce wrap filling and sauce was excellent. A lot of items on their menu were not available and also restaurant was understaffed. I opted for their zucchini pasta with shrimp. It was good but just a bit oily for my taste. Shrimp was cooked and seasoned well.

CPK isn’t as exciting as we remember.No vegetarian salads - full price salad and then remove the protein and charge full price. On top of that the lettuce is all shredded iceberg — in California is that best they could come up with….Have to say something niceThe soups are still greatPiZZA is good - though missing the Santa Fe pizza .Service was ok - each item had to be asked for separately First lemons, then small plates then salad dressing that was asked to come on the side.

I went out with my husband and grandchildren for dinner. I went to check the menu and saw this large banner on the website that said download the app and get a free starter from 3 choices on the menu. When we got there I told our waiter that I had just downloaded the app at home and he tool my phone number and I said I wanted to order this free starter. We ordered dinner, drinks, and desert so our bill was high. When I noticed that we were charged for the starter (which I only ordered because I thought it was free) we spoke to the waiter. He said no problem Ill take it off but said he didnt know I had just gotten the app. Then a heavy set women came out and basically told me it is clearly stated that it is only valid on a second visit. I told her there would never be a second visit if the customer service is not better. Look at the website! How could anyone without a strong magnifying glass read that the free starter is not valid on your first visit like it is at most establishments. Bad experience!!!

Portion sizes have shrunk - they’re TINY, especially for what they charge. Pasta was like a half portion, sangria was 90% ice. Went home after and had to eat a bagel to fill up, lol. The waiter was wholly disinterested in doing his job - saw our drinks sitting on the table behind us for 15 minutes before he actually came and distributed them. Seemed put off by having to take our order, then we just didn’t see him again (someone who seemed to be a manager picked up the slack). Won’t be returning.

I went here today for Veterans Day. I love that they support the troops and everyone who served. I got an entrée with a drink for no charge. I believe I spoke with the manager, and he gave me a card with a deal for BOGO the next time I go. My pizza was excellent, and it came out really quickly. They also gave me some bread and oil to snack on while I waited for the entrée.

Portions are small, prices are high, menus are sticky to touch, food comes late. In restroom all the papers end up on the floor, because they forgot to place a bin under the sink. I mean for the prices like that, they shouldnt forget anything...

I wish to thank the HB CPK manager for graciously contacting me by phone with my consent after I penned the highly critical review of our experience below. The manager clearly was never notified by the hostess that we wished to speak with him rregarding the abysmal service. The manager was very apologetic and gracious, offering to comp our next meal. I declined as this was not my objective. I thanked him for offering. I feel confident the he will follow through with his staff; they absolutely blew it that day! Unfortunately I need to leave the written review because it was factual, but did improve the star rating a bit due to this managers concern. Original review: Worst service ever. Will not dine at this CPK again. Server was MIA most of the time, only to fly past and grab our half finished salad before we finished. Did not refill drinks as requested. He talked VERY FAST behind his mask which made him almost impossible to understand. We went for a late lunch at 2:00 p.m. mid-week and the restaurant was almost empty (2-3 other tables with diners in the entire room). A request to the hostess to speak with the manager was ignored. We are used to good service and management at the Mission Viejo store. Again, we will NEVER eat at the HB store at Bella Terra again. Awful experience.

No wonder they closed the CPK near us. What happened to this place it used to be good. They replaced their soft tasty bread with rock hard stale rolls. No butter, now you have to use spicy oil. Where are all the great old dishes--santa fe chicken pizza, shrimp scampi pizza, gorgonzola field green salad, veggie sandwich?? All these dishes have been replaced with disgusting alternatives thanks to overzealous corporate menu changes and inept management.

First Timer to CPK received a gift card, it was alright. We had a Veggie Pizza and Roasted Veg Salad. The pizza looked good but lacked a memorable taste. The salad was prepared well but should have 50% more lettuce since it settles with roasted veg on top. On a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant could be cleaner. Literally, every table had debris underneath. The experience not pleasureable when floors sloppy.I looked at every table on the way out and saw debris under each table i.e. crayons, food droppings, paper card, napkin ........not a good first experience.Service was good. As a plant based customer, there is an extreme lack of menu options to choose from or to even modify. As attentive and helpful as our wait staff was, there was little knowledge of the food ingredients. Perhaps management could provide additional resources and training for all restaurant staff. Ever since the pandemic, they have shorten their menus and unfortunately they have eliminated all the good food items that we loved. From the flat bread appetizer with chicken with arugula and then the chicken & vegies entree but as long as the steak was there I was okay, but today they have also taken away the 1 thing that I loved. This might be our last time here. Nothing on the menu is appealing to eat anymore. So sad.

I’ve always thought cpk was on the pricier side for pizza but I do love their pizzas. We only tend to eat here when they send deals then we pair it with gift cards from Costco in the same plaza which is super convenient. Their food has always been solid for me though so I hope they stick around for a long time. My go-to’s are the bbq chicken pizza, chipotle chicken pizza!! Bbq chop salad, and avocado club egg rolls (but they’ve been running out of these often). I love that parking is never much of an issue, and the location is super convenient for me.

I feel ya, I know it sucks to have someone special order by omitting and putting cheese and stuff on the side. This is my reality-- doctors orders. I gave four stars because while my special requests were simple (no salt, items on the side) I think I either annoyed her or she was just having a bad day. The pasta was undercooked.There wasnt enough cream in the cream pasta, so it was stiff. I wasted two hours for lunch. It took 20 minutes to order, 30 minutes for food to come out after ordering, 30 minutes for eating, and 20 minutes waiting for checkout. Even though it didnt leak at all

We tried to go to Islands but were told the wait would be about 30. Plenty of open tables and a near empty patio. Whatever. Walked over to CPK and am happy we did. I love this place, but I dont love is the new menu system they have.You know, one of those systems where you need to scan a QR code, and yet they do not take into consideration the fact that not everybody who goes there has a phone that scans a QR code, and not everybody who goes there can read very well through their phone. Apparently they have limited paper menus, which you almost need a magnifying glass to read, and since they are limited I wonder what the person who comes in later in the day needs to use. The service was great, the food was great, and it always is. But still floored at the stupid menu system, and I wish that CPK and other restaurants would learn that it is about the user experience, not just about the food. I did message them through Facebook when I was still sitting at the table, but apparently that was not worth their time to answer my concern.

Wow the food was amazing. We took our friends for the first time and they loved it. The avocado club egg rolls as an appetizer was a hit with the ranchito sauce. Then we had the Hawaii Pizza, pepperoni pizza, the avocado club pizza, and the two in a bowl soup (pea soup and tomatoe soup) was all delicious. This is a place to go.

Terrible service and long wait from Lindsay and Mgr Pedro. Many tables open outside and still told 15 minutes or more wait. Not the first time at this location and was even told one time they could not seat me. The excuse was there was no server, but I could see several tables with people and a server helping them. Avoid this place, others managed better with much more helpful staff. Over 20 minutes to get table. Then watched another party come and get seated immediately at one of the other many open tables. The server Sonny was the only good part of my experience. He was great.

Not the CPK I once knew.Pizza is terrible now. Before, always tender crispy crust now too dry and chewy with an overbaked bottom. Toppings were very lackluster. I had ordered my favorite--their Thai Chicken Pizza and it was flat as a New York slice, garnished very sparingly. Before always loaded and plush with fresh ingredients. T appears theyve made some major cost-cutting and for me, too much to come back for.Service was alright but its always good when you sit at the bar. Wonderful customer service, the food was great, right temperature, salad was crunchy, tasty, over exceeded my expectations. The waitress kept my decaffeinated coffee filled. Love their Thai salad. So excited that they offer options for those who are gluten free like their cauliflower crust pizza. Oh man, great experience at first, drinks came out quick, kids were happy. Ordered our pizzas, one of which being a chickpea dough, the other a normal cheese. 20 minutes later we hear our server tell the group that just sat down that they are out of the chickpea dough. We thought we must have got the last one, 20 minutes later we’re getting pretty hungry and the kids are getting hangry and our server comes and notifies us that they are out of the chickpea dough and they haven’t started the kids pizza. Paid for our drinks and left. Not even an apology from the server. Sorry CPK this one left a bad taste in our mouth. We looked back and we were there for an hour.

A nice outdoor patio with no food complaints. My comments are regarding the corporate overreach in all of their stores. They need to realize why customers go out to dine and one of the main reasons is to be waited on. They do not even clear the plates from their tables! People are tired of asking for everything from salt and pepper to napkins and fresh cheese. I didnt go out to have a server put a prepackaged small paper wrapped to go grated cheese in front of me. I dont want an atmosphere devoid of anything that is welcoming - no plants, flowers, candles or anything. My wife and I met up with some friends for lunch. The weather was really nice so we sat in the outdoor patio area. Everything was clean and we had decent space between people. They also had the heater lamps on due to it being on the slightly chilly side, but they werent so hot that it was uncomfortable. Menu wise, I highly recommend the Mushroom Pizza, and the Buffalo Cauliflower was WAY better than I thought it would be. Id go back for that alone! A little pricey for what you get. I think there was maybe 4oz of chicken on my $16 pasta. Mac and cheese balls were like rubber. Pizza good though.
