I had the most fantastic experience at California Pizza Kitchen during their happy hour! The staff truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Not only did they serve delicious food and drinks, but they also provided impeccable service without being overbearing. The attention and care they put into ensuring our evening was enjoyable were truly commendable. I cant wait to return to CPK for another delightful experience!

I mostly do takeout from CPK. The food is tasty but the portions have shrunk in the past couple of years. The service is always friendly and prompt. At this location, parking can be annoying during peak times because they share a parking lot with a VERY popular In n Out.

Food was amazing but the service was the worst. Literally waited an hour and a half just for a table while some tables were completely vacant. They seemed too lazy to clean up a table. And the endless wait for the food and drinks as well. Servers did not seem to care about customers and some were on their phones on the job.

I really enjoyed the open and bright space. They did a great job opening up and making this a New design for this restaurant. But I didnt like our booth next to where the waitress put in there orders. The lack of privacy in that booth bothered me and my friend.

My husband and I shared a Mac-Cheese Dinner with grilled chicken added. This picture was an after thought. We actually ate it, in-spite of it being pathetic. How do you fail mac-cheese? No cheese. The chicken was just ok. This was takeout or it would have been sent back. I gave 2 stars bc we have eaten in and the food was good.

Ive been a to CPK a few times in Laguna Niguel since they opened, and overall, its a good dining spot. The restaurant maintains its typical CPK charm with delicious food, satisfactory service, and reasonable prices.On this recent visit, however, one aspect marred an otherwise enjoyable experience. Despite the glaring sun directly on our table, the staff refused to close the shades, resulting in constant discomfort as I had to constantly shield my eyes from the harsh light. It was undeniably frustrating and made this particular visit less than ideal.Nevertheless, I recognize that this may have been an isolated incident, and considering CPKs consistent quality over the years, Im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hence, Im still inclined to rate them 4 stars, as one bad shift shouldnt overshadow their overall reputation as a dependable restaurant.

The CPK in Laguna Niguel opened quite recently. However they definitely have their act together. Today is Veterans Day and being a Navy vet I decided to partake of their Veterans Day offerings. I chose the Mushroom Peperoni Sausage Pizza, with a Passion Fruit Mango Iced Tea. It was superb, and the service was first rate.I will be back again soon. BTW, if you are a vet, and go today, ask for the veterans menu, and show some form of veteran identification. I have veteran status on my driver license, and I also have a Veteran Idenification Card. You dont need to bring your DD-214.

By far the best CPK I have ever tried! I would come again.The inside looks much better and prettier than the average CPKs I’ve been to. I think it was also probably the cleanest CPK I’ve ever been to as well. Usually there is a disgusting smell at restaurant booths. So I was happy that there was no weird odor at these booths. Atmosphere is nice 👍 Most importantly, I enjoyed the food. I really liked the consistency of the food. 10/10 👍 Employees are nice too.

Im glad I got in when I did, because it got super busy as my daughter and I were leaving. We were warmly welcomed as we arrived, and shown directly to a table. It was busy, but no where near what it got to. The food was great, both in appearance and taste. If I had to give some kind of negative, I would have to say service speed/attentiveness. I was never approached for a refill, and was almost forgotten on plates. I applaud the young waitress though, it seem like she was handling a lot on her own, and she stayed in a positive attitude. She was great all things considered. It would be great to go back if given the chance before I leave this state.

This location needs to shut down . Food is stale so stale and not cooked correctly or recipes from the original cpk and unacceptable . It was a mess in person but absolute scam in delivery and burnt food and inedible missing the real cpk meals this is completely inaccurate and horrible there food issues are scary bad, and even given our old or completely black bread too or stale chips . Nothing is prepared right and missing the ingredients as the original cpk and not fresh at all. Something is going wrong with this new location . I need to be refunded

Ordered online. Said 40 min. Arrived in 15 min. Parked curbside. Called after waiting 10 min. Only car waiting at curbside for the last 5 min. The phone rang and rang and it forwarded to another extension. She then transferred me back and again it rang and rang over 15 times. I went inside. No other customers were there. The guy behind the counter started to put my order together. A female came up and I mentioned the problem. She made excuses about running out orders and only one person doing it. Now it has been almost 10 min with no other customer using this service. Not even 10 min later we went to eat our pizza and it was cold, not even warm. I am extremely disappointed in this CPK.

The food at CPK is so good and I’m so glad I have a CPK close to my home. I was sad when CPK was no longer at Laguna Hills Mall, but now there is one in Laguna Niguel. This new CPK has great food and the staff are so friendly and helpful. People should definitely check it out! Yummy!

Had a lovely Saturday dinner a CPK. Not allowing us to make reservations was a bit of a bummer, but we were actually able to get seated a lot faster than the estimated wait time. I think a number of parties ahead of us probably gave up waiting, so we were bumped up. It was great to see a number of vegetarian options on the menu. The kids really likes the plant based chicken BBQ pizza. Unfortunately, the pastas all had garlic in the sauce, so we stuck with pizza. The waitress was nice and helped with our dietary restrictions, and the overall service was pretty quick. We ended up getting the pizza at the same time as our appetizer. Great place to come for a family meal. Just be sure you have some extra time on weekends because youll definitely have to wait.

Tried the shrimp scampi with zucchini ribbons and it was excellent. Our server Jack was very attentive. I was seated facing the screen that kept flashing the butter cake so I had to try it. Very yummy. The $8 take and bake pizza is a great deal. I will definitely go there again.

CPK is always a family friendly place to go for dinner. We all enjoy something on the menu be it soup, salad, pasta or pizza.Tonight I got the BBQ chicken pizza. It was perfectly cooked and came out fast. The kids got pasta and butter with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and kids cheese pizza. The service has always been fantastic.

Interesting new high tech decor. Seated immediately. Server was fairly efficient, nice, pleasant to talk too. Hubby asked if small pizzas @dinner. No, just at lunch as I recall. Loved sourdough bread, butter. He had some Alfredo noodle dish, good. I had one of small (half order) salads that was good. It is expensive but what isnt these days. Parking bad at busy times due to In-n-Out Burger sharing lot. Had cheesecake for dessert. They have bar that serves liquor, etc. Overall it was a pleasant experience. We will be back but not too often due to price point. We are seniors so trying to watch the eating out budget.

Got rid of tostada pizza company wide. BOOOO! Had to send my wifes BBQ salad back because it was missing BBQ sauce, yes BBQ sauce, as well as black beans. huh? Avocado egg rolls was my back up and the size of the egg rolls continue to shrink. The spinach artichoke dip was barely warm. Its microwaved, how hard is it to microwave? Place was slow and half empty and they could barely do things right. Dont bother with the response Stella, we arent returning. Decades of going to CPK but not anymore.

We LOVED the food, but the waiter was not paying attention🤷🏻‍♀️ We asked for straw, and he didn’t give us until we asked again. I ordered bolgnese spaghetti without scallions, but I got them. The same happened to the BBQ pizza— we asked for a bacon and did not recieve it. Got served- but nobody got me fork for pasta and plates for pizza. The menu was on the table for 15 minutes after we ordered everything. And, at the end, we were just facing dirty plates for a long time until we left. Loved another waiter named Justin who apologized for everything! The robot was the cutest ❤️

So...my husband and I have been back several times and have had a completely different experience! We are on first name basis with both the bar waiter and manager! Food is always good and service is excellent. Thank you CPK!Service is subpar. Food is still great but not a great experience with service. Maybe waiter is green I dont know.. Thought I would give the waiter a bit more grace. I asked for napkins as he gave us one between us. I didnt get them and then he put this pile in front of us bringing napkins to someone else. I asked for bread with my soup. Finished my soup before I got the bread. Never brought our bread. When our food came, he asked if we needed anything. I said napkins. He pulled out napkins from the bag and gave them to us. Our food came with 2 spoons. He didnt think to give us forks. I had to ask for forks. The whole time he served us he had a frown on his face.

I got here a little after 4:00. There was no one waiting when I got here, three employees at the front desk, and six empty booths. The tables were not cleaned, though. Two employees left the front area. Kendall was left to wipe down the tables. It took her about 10-15 minutes to clean three (no dishes, just wiping down the tables) and she grumbled to another employee, “She only wants a booth.” It was not busy or rush hour, so I didn’t feel like that was an unreasonable request. By the time I was seated, there were six new parties who needed to be seated. I’ve been here several times, and I have had similar experiences each time…there are several people standing around, talking, and they wait for someone to come in to begin preparing for any new guests to arrive. Should there be six booths that need cleaning at the same time at 4:00 pm? There is so much that happens behind the scenes, though, that it’s quite possible instructions are not clear for employees (from management) about who is responsible for what, and when. My server, Layla, was lovely and attentive. The food was delicious. I worked in the service industry as a teen and young adult, however, and was taught…you only get one chance to make a first impression, so make it a great one. The first impression here could use some improvement. I think management is mostly responsible for making sure training is adequate for these young adults, so someone has dropped the ball here if I’ve had this many unpleasant first impressions. I will only try one more time here before I go back to the CPK on Marguerite. It’s a further drive, but they have top-notch service, from beginning to end!UPDATE: Spoke with a blonde, short-haired manager with a blue and white striped shirt who gave many excuses as to why service may be less than optimal at the transition hour of 4:00. She did say that only one host(ess) should be at the front during that time, then talked with Kendall behind glass where she mouthed, “I’m sorry.”I will not be back.

Horrible experience. I know CPK is a casual location and not fine dining but this was rough. We ordered water 3 times throughout our dining experience and didnt get it until our check. Each time we reminded that we were waiting on waters the server said ok great or perfect, never apologized. I dont know if bread and oil is still offered at CPK, but none of us were offered at any of the tables around us with the same server. When ordering food, she mentioned that sauce/oil is normally given on the side when taking our order so that was expected. When the food came with nothing aside from the main plate to which we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for her to come around and act as if we never mentioned the ranch or oil when taking the order. Now part of the problem is also the robot servers they are using which means your food arrives without a server to ensure everything is there. The robot kitty server thing stops in between a group of tables and displays a table number for that table to get their food. As Guests, we dont know that we are table 144 etc so everyone kept checking what food was on the robot. We also ordered alcoholic drinks, mine came in a tall narrow glass with loads of ice and a half of a pineapple slice so it was really made for use with a straw. When asking for a straw the server turned away and said sure (I think), while walking away. She came with stir straws that dont even extend half the length of the glass of my drink. The restaurant had normal straws as the tables around us were given straws with their waters that we didnt even get yet. We also tried to check in to our CPK rewards, she took the number, but still didnt use it to check us in when we got the check. Couldnt say whether we just had a bad server or if service is just rough overall at the location. We did hear the Hostess at the front talking about how bad the busser was and that he takes forever and they have to stand there and stare at him... Overall, just a huge disappointment as we were looking forward to finally having a CPK nearby.

NOT good customer service here. Came on a slow Monday afternoon. Our server Jesse was terrible! We asked for a box a few times before he could bring one, he was not personable, and extremely awkward. He simply acted like he hated serving. Won’t come back here due to such an awful experience. Hire better servers!!

Terrible experience at the once good CPK brand. Ordered a pizza on the website for a specific time and the pizza was 20 minutes late. For almost $25 dollars I was given a pizza with a burnt crust on the bottom and edges, chewy/tough cheese, 8 small dried-out sausage balls on top, and a wait-staff who ignored me for ten minutes upon arrival at the to-go area. Cant think of one reason to ever return...One star is a star too many.
