Great lunch special! We stopped by during lunch, and they have mini pizzas or pasta. You get to pick a side of soup or salad. It was very filing and fairly priced. I didnt even know they brought fresh bread with olive oil dipping. That was such a nice suprise! The Thai chicken salad is soooo good and refreshing !I loved the kids menu, they have some great options and are priced at 6.99 when we went. The kids pasta is a huge portion as well, could even be split between two light eaters with a side. Will be making this a regular lunch option.

Everyone was welcoming! Our server was so nice! You can tell everyone love their job by the way they treat their customers! I got the club pizza-- sooo delicious! Has generous toppings, the avocado was fresh, the crust was phenomenal! My husband got the chipotle and it was super delicious, too! My daughter dont really eat pizza [ shes 4 ] we ask them if she could have a bowl of black olives, and they did. That was super nice! The bathroom was clean, the restaurant is clean, the ambience is great! Cant wait to go back!

The best pasta I have ever had. Flavor melts in your mouth and its super good. Their complementary breads are super soft and yummy. Also I tried their Vegetarian pizza super filling for one person. Must try their cauliflower appetizers, they were so delicious. Beehive drink was soooo good if like your drink sweet.

The food way very good. I enjoyed the food and the drink. I’m only giving 3 stars because we ended up waiting a long time for our server each time we needed something which was kind of upsetting. However this with the fact that it was overall 60 dollars for my boyfriend and myself for potions that were a little on the small side kind of irritated me. I did enjoy the food but I will probably not go back due to the service and the prices here.

We really miss having a CPK in our home town. This location is very nice and in the shopping mall parking lot. There were hardly any customers when we went on a Monday night. So sad that they got rid of their ranch salad with crispy onion strings a few years ago. We had a BBQ chicken pizza and a salad. Both were good but nothing too exciting. The service was cordial but really slow for having so few customers. It was good to reminisce of when we had a CPK a couple miles away.

First time here. We did the outside dining. We had a five minute wait due to short staffing. We ordered appetizers and drinks and it took a little longer due to no bartender but it was still within a reasonable amount of time . The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our food was good. We order the BBQ chicken pizza, the works and the Margherita.

Reliably good pizza and fast service. This one is conveniently located just about next to a Whole Foods; so it’s a good food and resupply location for local travelers. They have good small pizzas for kids. There’s a large parking lot to rest and recharge yourself before getting back on the road.

I ordered a mushroom pizza for pick up. This is the second time I’ve been disappointed. (It used to be my favorite dish.) It was flavorless and oily. There used to be a variety of mushroom types on top. The last 2 times I made this purchase, regular mushrooms (like I buy at the grocery store) were included. No variety. And the pizza was cold. We ordered online and were told 30 minutes. However, my son walked in at 20 minutes and was handed a finished pizza that had been sitting there…gettin cold. The pizza was small, with minimal ingredients. Seems like $25 for what I was served is a bit overpriced. Very disappointed.(Their Thai salad is excellent.)

Its not the same experience Ive had before. My salad had brown, slimy lettuce in it. It also took too long for our server to visit our table throughout our meal. Im not sure if she was just stretched too thin with her other tables or not, but our whole experience wasnt as good as it has been in the past at this CPK. Im hoping it was just an off day for them.

We ordered a original bbq pizza and spicy cgupotle chicken pizza. Loved the chipotle chicken pizza. For drink it was fresh strawberry mango cooler, highly recommended.I honestly am not a fan of bbq sauce, but my friends liked it.For the entree with fresh bread and olive oil, the bread seemed to be bit dry and didnt look or taste fresh.

Food was good. The hamburger and fries could have been warmer. My wifes dish was not as warm as it should have been either. It wasnt that busy at the time we were there, so I am assuming they sat for a bit before being brought to our table. Prices are a bit high, but that seems to be the case everywhere lately. I have had a better experience at other CPKs than this one. Been awhile since I have been to the one at Del Monte shopping center. And it will probably be awhile before I go back.

To tell you the truth, I expected better pizza than what I ordered. I ordered the carne asada pizza which I thought was gonna be great, nothing special. Also ordered a combination pizza, both pizzas were just mediocre. Ive had lesser pizza which tastes great. Bathrooms were dirty and not kept up at all. The only positive I have was our waiter which he did a phenomenal job attending to our large group. Had a blue moon beer which tasted flat. Had a modelo beer, it was off aswell in taste. I personally will not return to this restaurant or resturant chain.

Got there 45 minutes to closing and they took us in no problem, then three people came in 5 till closing and they sat them down with no problem. This seemed to be an upscale California Pizza considered the area and town it is in very understanding, but not snobbish at all.The service was great and the food was outstanding. My first time there. We go to lunch most Wednesdays and a member of our group suggested California Pizza Kitchen. Good choice! I had a 7 pepperoni pizza and salad. Fair price for this day & age. Pizza was good, not great (I prefer really thick pizza, mine was rather thin). My BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad was really good! They have a large selection of salads and I plan to take my better half here for dinner soon. She likes her salads. You MUST try the Butter Cake for dessert. Pricy.......but tasty. The one thing I ABSOLUTELY hate is their online menu. Its too difficult to jump through all their hoops just to see a menu. Eat here, eat there, dine in, dine out, location, blah, blah, blah. Just show me a menu!

We got to the restaurant and had to wait about 15 minutes which was fine because it was in order of the people who came in. However, once we sat down, we waited 30 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge us. Once we were acknowledged, things were coming out quickly so it wasnt that the kitchen was backed up. The problem lies in the fact that people who came in after us, with more people, were taken care of and even got their food before we were acknowledged. Truly disappointed in the service. The waitress said she didnt see us over here.We notified the manager Gabriel and he made sure we were taken care of. Our waitress, Andrea, consistently checked on us as well and ensured that we had great service for the remainder of our time here. The two of them made our visit pleasing and we will come again.

We were visiting Monterey from out of town and this restaurant was within walking distance from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. Saturday evening around 630 they sat our party of 5 plus our dog right away with no wait on the patio. It was a cold evening but the patio was enclosed and they had the heaters on so it was perfectly warm. We were greeted right away and drinks came out quickly after. Everything we ordered was eaten entirely with nothing left or wasted on the table. We ordered two margaritas and they did not disappoint. Definitely money’s worth there. My wife ordered the ribeye medium and it came out delicious and cooked exactly to medium. I ordered the jambalaya and it was literally the best I ever had. The kids all ate everything they ordered as well. I would 10/10 recommend this place!

The service was quite lacking that day as we were served by a young girl and she was having shift change and went home. Another person was supposed to serve us and then he never showed up after asking around they said someone will help us. No one came so we stopped a server and told him and he decided to take it upon himself to help even if we werent in his area. After that everything else was great, food delicious and drinks tasty.

Update: I originally gave 1star based on the below experience. I received a phone call this morning from the GM and was able to let her know what transpired. I’m changing the review to 4stars based on the conversation. She was open and receptive to my feedback and let me know that they were open until 10pm, and had she approved for takeout only orders starting at 930pm. She apologized and rectified the issue with me. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer care from the General Manager. We’ll be back to try again before the end of this year to enjoy lunch or dinner. They will be changing their hours to close at 9pm starting Jan 2022.Closes at 9pm! We drove to CPK because the website stated that it was open until 10pm. They were only doing takeout and there wasn’t signage on the door to note the change in hours.

I went there last September and celebrated my mothers birthday there.She ordered a Fire grilled Ribeye and I ordered a Cedar Plank salmon. The food was delicious, both the meat and fish were really fresh and tasted amazing. The service was okay, they could have been friendlier and given us a small dessert or something to celebrate her birthday. It was a good experience overall.

The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. We had pizza, salad, flatbread, and salmon, plus several different desserts. Unfortunately, the service was very slow to the point that we would have to ask multiple times to get refills, etc. Additionally, they were out of many of the things we tried to order, and in one case, were even charged for one of the items they were out of. This was eventually sorted out, and they took 10% off of our bill. Overall, a positive experience.

Our pizzas took longer than expected to come to the table and were just ok - nothing special, especially for the price! The salads are very expensive and even the half-orders are no bargain. Went here for the lunch duo that a friend told me about and was not disappointed. The portions werent giant but were definitely still filling having a half sandwich and salad. I had the crispy chicken sandwich at the managers recommendation and was not let down, probably my new favorite crispy chicken sandwich in the area. The manager Lauren was an absolute delight to talk with as well as the rest of the staff who were also spectacular and very welcoming and hospitable. I will definitely be going back for the lunch special again as the entire visit start to finish was fantastic. Would definitely recommend to friends who are looking for a casual meal.

Del Monte Shopping Center is a solid foundation in the Monterey Peninsula...Businesses have transitioned in & out of Del Monte Shopping Center.. most of them we are disappointed that they are no longer there..Ever since California Pizza arrived it has been a breath of fresh air and can be addictive..Being a local ..when we do go there at times it seems that we are on a short vacation.The food is fresh and delicious and the staff are welcoming and attentive

Not happy with the last visit. We were a group of 8. One of us did not get or meal for at least a half an hour after the rest, so he had to wolf it down. I understand it was busy, and there was an order mix up, and if that was it, that would be fine, but we asked for bread, and never got it, one of our other diners had a mistake that was caught in the kitchen by or waitress, (on of our picky eaters), and she asked for butter which took ten minutes to reach us. A couple of drinks that were ordered from the bar were marked as done, so those took us asking about them 20 min after we ordered. They company was great, but that had nothing to do with the restaurant

Wow, this chain has really declined in quality dramatically, the pizza sauce tasted like spaghetti O’s, fairly certain it was very low grade tomato sauce, canned pineapple ( not fresh) in large not bite size chunks, heavy lunch meat style ham that tasted really bad and the crust was raw inside, cheese barely had time to melt in the oven.

I have mixed feelings when visiting the California Pizza Kitchen. We had a great server who was polite, attentive, and thorough. The restaurant was clean and lively. But it is costly for what you receive and the two different pizzas we ordered (Thai Chicken and Margarita) were tasty, but didnt taste like what we expected. The Thai was not necessarily Thai except there was some peanut sauce on it. The Margarita pizza tasted like a cheese pizza without the acidic addition of the tomato piece/slices. The visit was so-so, but if were in the area we may try it again.

My party of 10 came in today for Sunday dinner without a reservation and we were immediately seated. Our waitor Gabriel was amazing and very accomidating. He seemed to be a seasoned professional and was on top of our every need before we had to ask. By far he is the best waitor we have had. Ordered three items today. Soup, avacado roles, and a pizza. The roles and soup were good but being disappointed with the tostata pizza I asked for a menu to find a different pizza. Our server asked how we were enjoying our pizza and we said we we were not. He offered a replacement pizza but at that point we had lost desire to eat pizza. He and manager offered comp and box the remainder of the tostata pizza. We took the comp and informed on how the pizza could be better. We left the uneaten pizza and said wed come another time for a better pizza.They handled this very well and we look forward to returning for a different pizza.

Edit: Updating the review based on the customer service -- they reached to me with a personalized message after I posted my experience.Ordered a take out for Tostada and wild mushroom pizza. While Im a fan of CPK Tostada pizza, the pizza I got here ONLY had beans and cheese. Thats right -- no tortilla strips, no lettuce or herb ranch. Similarly, for wild mushroom pizza, I paid extra for white truffle oil but it seemed they forgot to put ANY oil. Worst dinner of the trip -- and I drove to pick up these while I could have had much better and cheaper pizza at Round Table a block away. Make sure to check your pizza if doing a takeout.

Weve patronized CPK since their beginning, wonderful concept. Recently we went for lunch, food good, server awesome. What was the negative was the actions of a manager (MA). She spent quite a bit of time with us, (slow period). We assumed she was genuine, nice (she even brought up the topic of superficiality, ha, ha, ha, thats laugh out loud!). She wouldnt even return a call (later re: a matter....... said she would!) The only block to kindness, respect, integrity (our own level of honesty) is ego. This is a leader of customer service? Someone who cant show value?? She has a lot to learn. Disconnecting from Truth/Trust is a disconnect from God, the life of all form. We surround ourselves with constructive individuals, not destructive (same with employees). How sad to witness this world, intended for beauty and service to another, erode one person/place at a time (always unnecessary).
