The California Veggie Pizza was okay. Less tomato sauce on the base and uncooked big broccoli pieces don’t go on a pizza when all the other toppings are well cooked. Service and staff was good. For $23 one would expect a lot better taste.

My family always loves going to this location. We were there tonight and had the best server Yani. He was amazing with our kids and very helpful. It was my daughters birthday and he made her feel so special! Thank you Yani! Great service. We will be back.

Our familys favorite restaurant. My 8 year old is happy and so are his parents! The servers are always great! Weve even celebrated my mother-in-laws birthday here and everyone loved it from 7 to 80 years old. Theres something for everyone. We come to CPK once a week and we always get a take and bake to try all the great and new pizza combinations for lunch during the week. My favorites are Kung Pao Spaghetti with Shrimp, Bolognese, and the lunch duos. My favorite pizzas are Wild Mushroom.

Visiting and had dinner here for the first time. It was delicious from drinks to dessert. Everything was great and the manager, Robert, even stopped by our table to say hello and make sure we were enjoying our meal. Very friendly and impressive. You don’t get that everywhere you go.

UPDATE: I called and spoke with the manager. The pizza I ordered is made with olive oil and no sauce (not clear on the menu). The server probably should have mentioned that considering no cheese. Regardless, the manager mailed me $30 in gift cards to cover the price we paid.———————We ordered the gluten-free crust and ordered it without cheese due to a dairy allergy (I know, what’s the point, right?). Well I’ve made many gluten-free, cheese-free pizzas at home that were delicious. Well, this one had no sauce?!?!? By the time we got it home and opened it, it was cold, too. Our best description was it was like a stale cracker with a couple pieces of dry chicken on it. I’m not exaggerating, zoom in in the picture. I have no idea why we got no sauce—truly shocked at how bad this was.

$20 for a pathetically small pepperoni pizza (with extra ham & mushrooms). Delivery 2 miles away, arrived stone cold. Also had the buffalo cauliflower, $9 for 6 limp and soggy pieces of overcooked vegetable. I didn’t think I would be as disappointed as the GOT finale ever again but here we are.

Nice location and atmosphere by the beach. However, left a bit disappointed. The BBQ chicken pizza was superb as expected. The mushroom pepperoni was good, though I should have ordered it without the sausage, but thats more on my taste.What was disappointing was the stale chips that came with the Spinach Artichoke Dip. Apparently, they ran out of chips and bought them at a store. Dip was pleasant though as normal, just wish we didnt have stale chips to go along with them, especially considering the price we paid for them. We didnt even get bread at our table that was being offered at other tables.

My first time here visiting on a business trip. I was seated and I was never approached by a server. I sat there for 15 minutes and was passed by 3 different servers and everyone around me was served. The manager behind the bar looked directly in my face and didn’t even think to send anyone. My oldest daughter, one of her teammates, her parents, and I went to get lunch here in between soccer games of a tournament my daughter and her friend were competing in. The girls had individual pizzas which they enjoyed, while the other adults had salads and chicken meals. I had a tequila chicken pasta which was really very tasty. The service was amazing and made this little jaunt a good one. I will definitely go here again when I am next in Solana Beach.

We placed a $105 order online at 8 pm and we were running late because we had a emergency. We called the restaurant to tell them about the incident just to explain that we were picking up the order still. We didnt care if it was cold and ice cream had melted but the waitress that answered was rude. She made me and my daughters who were listening on phone feel really bad about bothering her since it was close to closing time. We werent going to complain but there was still people in the restaurant when we got there. Shecould of handed us are food she made me go get it.i was missing our drinks utensils and bread. HORRIBLE service. I went there on 9/16 at around 7pm with my wife and 3yr old. It was 20 minutes and no one came by to take order at the table. No one. There were employees just hanging around, talking with each other, but NONE bothered. I would’ve liked the oven a little hotter so the crust is more moist but the restaurant was quiet so that’s understandable. 5/5 for executionThe only reason this isn’t 5/5 is the recipe. This pizza needs a béchamel base sauce to add moisture and blend the cheese with the dough. The mushrooms also aren’t very wild, would pay more for wilder mushrooms.Very good

I’m not reviewing the food. As any franchise food is expected to be about the same in all locations.However the handling of customers was horrendous. We made a reservation as we had a largish group which included an infant. As part of the process we gave our phone number while making the reservation.We ended up being 10 min late due to traffic. Instead of calling us and asking if we were coming they simply gave the table away. They ended up making us wait in the restaurant for 30 minutes.I’m not arguing being late is my fault. The handling was bad. First, why take our phone number if you are not going to call? Second when talking with the manager (who took our reservation) and asking why he didn’t call, he simply said that we were not here after 5 min so that was it. Adding to the convo, when asked why not try to contact has a lot of things can happen and slightly delay guests he simply stated and I quote: “we are a restaurant stuff happens here too within 5 minutes so that’s it”. Great management skills and great experience for a nice family dinner.

Me and my wife love this CPK in Solana Beach location for their hospitality, outstanding service, availability, and be able to serve you quickly before the close of business if you know what you want once you arrive to the location... we really appreciate this business and we always love to go to this place for a lot of reasons but mainly those reasons I explained in this post... hope this helps, cheers!!! From pizza to pasta to salad you cant go wrong. Highly recommend the bbq chopped salad. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Nathalia wore a mask and gloves the entire time and gave my husband a new glass each time she refilled his soda. Great all around and open relatively late. Great choice for adults and kids.

Worst Trip to CPK ever today.We called at 5pm and asked to pick up pizzas by 6:15pm. This was a specific time based on our GPSs ETA. Our goal was to pick up the pizza and head to a function (10 min away) by 6:30pm.When we got in at 6:14pm Guillermo rang us up - he was rude from the start. He put in the order into the iPad and backed away with no instructions. Had he spoken to us about how we were paying he would have known we were using a gift card. So we had to wait for him to quit pretending to be busy and come back to ring is up.I then asked how long it would take for our pizza. He gave no eye contact as he said its coming out now... I should have known it was a lie. The pizza came out 20 minutes later at 6:35pm! I politely asked him why it took so long and he very rudely gestured around the room and said, As you can see were really busy today and he stormed off again. I told him afterwards that we ordered an hour ahead and there should be no reason to be late by 20 mins. He continued to argue with me. We went back and forth for a moment then he yelled and asked if I wanted him to get the manager. I didnt have time so I explained I would leave a review later instead. He shrugged me off.I wish I hadnt bought this $100 gift card cause now I have to go back and finish spending. He made me never want to go back again.

Stopped by for a late dinner last Sunday after a long hot day at Legoland. It was conveniently one of the few places not too far down the road that was open until 10pm and being that we have visited multiple CPK locations over the years, figured we couldnt go wrong; we were right. We were greeted/seated right away and were informed that the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes. So without hesitation I put our order in immediately; BBQ chicken pizza, quinoa salad and for my son, the plain cheese pizza from the kids menu. The complimentary bread and oil were brought out promptly, as were our drinks. The food was brought out a short while later; within a very reasonable amount of time. The best part of our visit that night was the service; the food is reliably good and didnt disappoint. But our waitress, despite having a large group of possibly up to 14 people (didnt get an exact head count) was very attentive and never for a moment made us feel the slightest bit ignored. She followed up right when she had to and even got my sons desert order in despite it being past 10 oclock. Thank you Tara for delivering excellent service!

First and foremost, I love CPK! This particular CPK in Solana Beach is always very clean and quiet.Today my friend and I came in for lunch. We started with an appetizer, which was the guacamole and chips. I have to say that we were not very impressed with the guacamole, as it seemed to be mostly corn. It also lacked seasoning, as we had to put salt on both the guacamole and the chips. The white corn chips however, we nice and crunchy, but the blue corn chips tasted a little stale.My meal however was great, as usual. I ordered the Tomato Basil Spaghetti Lunch Special with added goat cheese with a side Caesar Salad. The pasta was great and the goat cheese on top was creamy and tangy. The salad was good too. However, unfortunately, CPK no longer serves the whole wheat pasta, which is a much better and healthier choice. They should think about adding that back onto the menu as an option or alternative.Our waitress was very kind, sweet and accommodating and our food came out in a timely manner. Overall, the experience was pleasant.

Went there with my sons soccer team on a Saturday night (February 5, 2017). We took up the patio (about 40 of us). It took 55 minutes to be served ANYTHING (even bread). The service was so bad, we assumed the inside of the restaurant must have been busy, so a few of us went in to use the restroom, and we discovered that, NO, it was not busy at all. While there is something generic (not really Italian) about CPK, they are a reliable standard. Everything is always fresh and they use quality ingredients.I ask for my pizza extra crispy because it usually is a bit underdone for my taste. I will say they have some reliable dishes I really like. The spaghetti Bolognese (add the mushrooms) is good and the planked salmon is always perfectly cooked. A really great standout is the strawberry shortcake in summer.Service is very good. Overall, Id give it a 3.5.

Also the waitress gave us water and never came back to see if we needed something else. Plus the place looked dirty and unorganized even when there is a lot of young people working . The absolute worst pizza I’ve ever had. Ordered two hand tossed pizzas; one “Works” and the other with pepperoni and olives. Both looked as if they were made by a first grader. The cheese only covered half the pizza, the toppings were on some slices and not on others and overall it tasted terrible. Not to mention it was an incredibly small (11”) pizza for the price of a large at MOST pizza restaurants. #neveragain
