I was so thrilled to finally visit the newly opened go-to sushi spot in Hermosa Beach. The moment I walked in, I fell in move with the tastefully decorated interior. The highlight of my visit was undoubtely the high quality sushi they served. Everything that we ordered was perfectly made with the best quality ingredients and the chef’s (Monica the owner) specially crafted sauce that they use for the sushi rolls. It really elevates the taste and sets this place apart drom other sushi places. 😋Its the best value sushi place in town.Can’t wait to visit again to try more!

This place has been around since I was a kid. When they had to close, my friends, family, and I were all distraught. Now they’re back in the old Pick Up Stix spot in the Vons Plaza, and the food tastes the same! Absolutely delicious, whether you get teriyaki, sushi, udon, tempura, it’s the best. I’ve been back almost every day since opening and know I’ll be back often. Side note: any place that puts a big bottle of their teriyaki sauce on the table for you to use as you please is always an A+ in my book.

Walking distance from Holiday Inn. Giant portions, very reasonably priced. Got the giant boat, some seaweed salad, and spring rolls. Good sauce for the rolls, nice and spicy. Miso was good. Spicy tuna roll very good, nice little kick. Nigiri and sashimi seemed nice and fresh, and tasted great.

I frequent here during lunch times to grab their lunch special which is always fantastic value. Food is always fresh and tastes fantastic. Operates kind of like a hole in the wall, but with restaurant style dining.The selection is great and the staff are professional. The prices are generally more affordable than others that sell sushi and the like, but theres no difference in quality.

Food is always fantastic. I have never had a bad meal. Service was slow but courteous. Soft shell crab and the Tempura Box are my go to, but all is good in this neighborhood. Cant miss if your hankering for sushi or sashimi.

They seem like theve never had a crowd. Very unorganized and unprofessional. You can hear their boss lady yelling at the crew. They dont know when a customer ia waiting or Ubereats. They kept mistaking my husband for uber. We waited over an hour for our food, when told only 30 min. It was already a long wait as it was and still made us wait 30 more min. They just cared about the delivery orders. Horrible service.

Average sushi for a moderately higher than normal price. Fish was fresh and teriyaki chicken was dry. This restaurant is more of a order, sit down and they bring to your table place. Extremely casual. There are some cleanliness red flags and observations as we were walking into the place like dirty inside windows and window coverings and the entry door needed some love. When I see general maintenance is not regularly performed, I worry about the other things we dont see and their condition.

I called in an order for the the Salmon Teriyaki and Sashimi combo (really great and filling combo by the way), and picked it up to go. Some of their sushi is pretty good such as the Philadelphia roll. Their teriyaki is ok Ive tasted some that have a bit fresher tastier flavor. But they do give you a good amount of food. First and last visit here. I love Sushi and have my go-to spots. I tried this because I wanted something new and a good lunch deal. But this place is a miss. To me, this is the Panda Express of Sushi. No waiters. Order pay upfront at the register. Food is just okay, decor and ambiance sub par, experience is lacking and there is no great savings. You are much better off with the lunch specials at Izakaya or Osho in Manhattan Beach. When you order the Chirashi sushi there, you get soup and salad with it. Not here. And they charged me $1.75 for a water.

If you are visiting Hermonsa Beach, this is a place where you can safely eat. However, it is a bit far from the beach, about 10 minutes on foot. It seems like a favorite place for locals, and the neighborhood seems relatively safe to walk. The taste is good and if you live here, you will become a regular.

The place is not luxurious but it has delicious food and the best sake Ive ever had in my life. The refrigerator is full of sake options with a paper describing each of the labels posted on the front. This gave me the freedom to choose at will, without rushing. I ate and drank very well. I would repeat it 1000 times.

So nice little restaurant. We got sushi to take away. Were not entirely convinced. We wont get sushi anymore. The teriyaki and udom dishes looked very good though. We will definitely try this again.
